This is straight out of Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror, except if he was more into beauty and cosmetics…

For her Dazed Beauty magazine cover, Kylie Jenner had her game switched up when the publication used actual artificial intelligence created solely with a computer to create her new look.

It's INSANE. The whole idea was to put the most popular beauty trends into one lewk by using AI programme Beauty_GAN. The programme uses an algorithm to create beauty looks from Instagram trends…are we living in 3019?

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

In Kylie's case, 17,000 trends were used to achieve her cover image. Pastel-pink hair, eyeshadow colours fading into one another, overdrawn Cupid's bows and light matte pink lipstick. It's a lot…

The gal kind of looks like she's melting…but it's still pretty cool. We sense that MUAs and influencers will be trying to emulate this look through their makeup skills soon enough.

AI program Beauty_GAN digitally applied hair and makeup to Daniel Sannwald's photos of Jenner, and the results were shared in the editorial.

According to Dazed Beauty, Beauty_GAN is "first algorithm of its kind, trained to create its own beauty imagery based on what it sees on Instagram." Damn.

Dazed Beauty's creative director Sebastian Zimmerhackl explained why the images of Jenner aren't picture perfect, despite the technology.

The computer had to learn exactly what "beauty" is, according to the 17,000 photos it was fed. The result “doesn’t look perfect because it’s an experiment," he said.

"But maybe in the future, it is the artistic mistakes that we will remember.” That's deep, Sebastian. What does beauty even mean nowadays, especially with editing and filters?

Sannwald photographed the reality TV star with almost no makeup to serve as a blank canvas for Beauty_GAN, who recruited her due to her influence with trendsetting in the beauty industry.

She recently became a billionaire as a result of her company's success; Kylie Cosmetics.

Beauty_GAN's art director Lukas Rudig stated;

“It’s a collaboration: what the machine does to her is paint her face in the way it thinks it should be in a beauty selfie. To put it in a really easy metaphor, Beauty_GAN is like a mirror of popular culture, but the reflection staring back at you might not be what you expected."

"We teach a machine to see us and what it shows us back is not always what we see ourselves.”

A Star Is Born has everyone sobbing and singing in the shower; Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's flick about an aged rock star who plucks a young musician from oblivion and elevates her platform, while falling in love at the same time.

The movie is currently on the awards run, vying to win the Best Picture at the 2019 Oscars, as well as Best Original Song and Best Actor/Actress nominations for the protagonists.

The reboot film is inspiring in it's treatment of male depression, fame, talent and romance; it's even inspired this outrageously amazing lip art.

We think this artwork alone deserves numerous accolades, I mean WOW.

It was created by Ryan Kelly, a make-up artist with some serious talents. She just gave beauty enthusiasts a reason to rewatch the film over-and-over again.

Kelly has blown us away with her intricate designs, she's also behind some of the best Bird Box lip art and Golden Girls lip art features we've ever seen.

We can practically HEAR Shallow play while we gaze at those painted lips. It's unbelievably life-like.

Why can't we be this talented? BRB, going to painstakingly hone our artistry skills and then cry when we can't recreate Ryan's artwork.

Stop the world, it's officially Stormi Webster's first birthday. The glamorous baby Kardashian is Kylie's precious bundle of joy, with boyfriend Travis Scott. She's given us some memorable moments, so we just HAD to make a list.

The precious lil baby has a pretty extravagant lifestyle, if we do say so ourselves. The tot is flown all around the world, decked in the finest designer gear you can buy.

Who can forget the Scott and Jenner's YouTube announcement of Kylie's pregnancy, titled To Our Daughter. The video racked up 80 MILLION views, and shows flashback shots to Kris Jenner's own pregnancy and the labour of Stormi.

The baby's arrival meant that she was born into an army of Kardashian kids, such as Khloé's adorable True Thompson and Kim and Kanye's bunch; Chicago, North and Saint West.

Here are some of our favourite Stormi moments;

1. The Announcement

On February 4 2018, Kylie made the ultimate pregnancy announcement with a beautiful mini-documentary of her pregnancy and family memories.

The reality TV star managed to stay off social media for the entire nine months, and never confirmed the baby's existence until the stunning announcement video. Suddenly, the couple introduced the world to Stormi Webster, after months of speculation.

We were HOOKED:

2. Her Fendy pram experience

Other babies are probably pretty jealous right now.

Stormi is no ordinary infant though, she rides in designer style.

The time Kylie took her tot for a stroll entirely covered head-to-toe in Fendy had everything gasping for monetary air.

3. Stormi and Kylie's luxurious getaway, with matching neon swimsuits

We don't even want to know how much money was spent on the swim gear, honestly.

Kylie brought Stormi to a beachside lavish palace to spend the weeks before her birthday in, and we died a death and went to heaven.

4. The time she snatched a LOUIS VUITTON handbag

How can we forget the time Stormi got a coveted Louis Vuitton handbag, after Travis dropped off a new chair for her.

The designer bag is a vintage black and rainbow monogrammed LV purse valued at over €2270. Oh, and that chair she's sitting on? It's a limited edition piece by Brazilian designer Campana and American artist KAWS.

Kylie captioned the snap; "Daddy dropped off a new chair for Stormi and omg this girl threw the bag over her shoulder, I can’t."

We wish someone could hand us a bag like this one… but we think we'll be waiting a long time.

5. The Louis-Vuitton mini Lamborghini: INSANE

Kylie shared a sneak peek at Stormi's Christmas presents, and our souls exited our bodies. It's a MINI-LAMBORGHINI covered in the Louis Vuitton logo… and she got two of them. We can't.

Kylie’s picture was captioned, “Like mother, like daughter,” most likely because of her extensive car collection.

Cast your minds back to the $1.4 million Ferrari LaFerrari she got from Travis Scott after Stormi's arrival, it was madness.

6. Stormi learning how to walk

Stormi is officially on the move; the little girl was recently learning how to take her first steps and it was as cute as you'd imagine.

kylie's baby was 11-month-old at this stage, and made a cameo in her mom’s Instagram story while her mum was promoting her Kylie Cosmetics range: the Valentine Collection.

“Sorry, guys, we had a little intermission- my baby woke up so I was getting her ready for the day,” the 21-year-old told her followers.

“We’re learning how to walk, huh?” Kylie said after Stormi took a few wobbly steps while holding on to her mum's hand.

7. The Butterfly Effect

This one is definitely one of our favourites.

Kylie and Stormi identically dressed in pink butterfly outfits had us in BITS: it was just mother-daughter goals.

The tiny butterfly clip in her hair was the cherry on top of a perfect #lewk. It sealed the deal for us, we love attention to detail.

8. The Private Jet

Have you ever seen anything this Extra? The boujée-ness is just so extreme in this image.

Baby Stormi is dressed for the ski slopes, looking out of the private jet's windows.

She's probably gazing at her rich and famous future, or something.

9. Stormi's sleepover with her cousin

Stormi's got a fair few cousins and famous aunties she can hang out with, luckily for her.

This time, Stormi and Chicago West, Kim and Kanye's youngest child, had a ladies night.

Dressed in all pink (of course), the pair literally couldn't look cuter.

10. The time her and her mother dressed as an actual storm

Yes, really. Momma Kylie and Stormi unveiled their Halloween costumes to the world, and shook it.

The pair dressed as the weather which the baby was named after, very touching.

She was the lightning to Jenner's storm cloud. The post was captioned; "Stormi Weather" by Kylie, who looks adoringly at her wee darling.

11. When she was her dad's biggest cheerleader

Travis Scott is a massively successful rap artist in the USA, and has millions of fans. Nevertheless, his daughter is the most important one.

This video of Stormi cheering her dad on and clapping to his music had us on the FLOOR.

We hope our kids are this supportive of us…

12. The Christmas Jumper

Only the best for baby Stormi.

The infant and her glamorous mother looked amazing in their matching diamond outfits. We've never seen Christmas jumpers this lavish, though.

It probably cost about the same price as our house. The pair basically invented Christmas with these sparkly co-ord looks.

13. When she advertised her mum's make-up empire

Her mum is an official billionaire as a result of Kylie Cosmetics, and they're not short of brand ambassadors and marketing teams.

However, we think Stormi does a great job of selling her mum's products.

She can't really pronounce the names, but it doesn't matter. She pulls it off.

Those were all of Stormi's biggest milestones and cutest moments over the course of one extravagant year.

Who knows what gifts Stormi will give us in 2019? She's too cute for her own good, that one.

We adore her, and hope Kylie shows us snippets into her world as often as possible. NEVER STOP KYLIE. We crave the cuteness.

It looks like we're FINALLY getting some updates on Bad Gal Riri's forthcoming album, after R&B legend The Dream revealed some details in an all-encompassing interview.

It's been almost three years since her last work, 2016's ANTI, and since then Rihanna has taken on world domination through fashion and cosmetics.

Savage x Fenty and Fenty Beauty have been hugely successful, and we thank her for those gems, but now we need the TUNES to match, mmkay?

Fans have been waiting a long time to hear more music from the iconic singer, and her newest record is "about done", according to The Dream. The singer has worked closely with Rihanna since 2007.

When asked about the versatile artists' newest work, he said; "She’s cooking, she’s about done. She’s about done. Super close." TAKE IT OUT OF THE OVEN.

He flat out refused to give any more details about the Disturbia hitmaker's album, but also teased that Beyoncé is "doing something" in the studio. Praise the Lawd, the Queens are returning to their thrones.

Speaking in an interview with Ebro Darden, he said: “I actually haven’t talked to her about it – I’ve talked to the team about it because it’s kind of just being coordinated. But she’s doing something."

RiRi recently joked to her fans that her internet connection was too poor to answer their questions about her album, though many are saying her ninth studio album is close to being finished.

The singer posted a video to her Instagram Stories which featured her waving a wad of cash, smiling and blowing a kiss to the camera, with the caption, '"Fans: "Where the album?" Me: sorry my connection poor."

Kuk Harrell, who worked with the star on ANTI, and co-wrote songs such as Umbrella and Only Girl (In the World), recently responded to one of the singer’s fans who asked about the album, saying;

"R9 is great. R9 is amazing. It’s incredible, And that’s all I’m going to say." Obviously it's amazing, but we need it NOW.

There have been zero announcements yet on a release date, but we'll be patient for Bad Gal RiRi.

What are your V-Day plans, gals?

For many of us, it's pretty much the usual shebang of perusing ice-cream flavours in Tesco, and wallowing on the couch while feeling guilty as a feminist for wallowing on Valentine's Day.

Ariana Grande is turning the single life into a trend, at least that's one comforting thing. Plus our pets give us more love than we even deserve.

Meanwhile, in Billionaire Boujee-land, Kylie Jenner is prepping for a new Kylie Cosmetics launch:

She appears to have gotten a red lady makeover, and we have to admit she's looking pure Poison Ivy-level glamour; serving Jessica Rabbit realness 24/7 just became her new niche.

We're assuming that this isn't Kylie's natural hair, seeing as the Kardashians can afford wigs, extensions, photoshop, stylists, fashion designers, celebrity hairdressers, etc.

Kylie's emanating Kim's Valentine's Day vibe form 2017, because the photographer responsible for this Kylie Cosmetics shoot also shot Kim's viral candy hearts campaign in 2018.

Image: Instagram/@kimkardashian

While Kim's hairdo is a lighter shade of pastel-coloured pink, Kylie has gone all-out pillarbox red.

Which do you prefer? We're feelin' Kylie's wavy, short hair because it's Moulin Rouge vibes to the max.

She'll be releasing the new collection on February 1, stay tuned.

When it comes to skincare and having a beauty regime, it can quickly become confusing and even a bit overwhelming. From figuring out your skin type, to finishing your daily routine with the right women’s perfume for the occasion, suddenly your beauty regime sounds more like hard work.

It doesn’t have to be so mind-boggling! One of the first things to remember is that no matter your skin type, or how busy you may be, having any sort of regular routine can help to maintain healthy, glowing skin.

So, if you’re hoping to create a new beauty regime, overhaul your current routine or simply just learn a bit more about skincare, here are some top tips to help you get started.

Understand your skin type

Understanding your skin is so important before you buy any new products, as it can make sure you’re providing your skin with the treatment it needs. Most of us identify our skin type when we’re in our late teens, and often stick to that diagnosis into our 20s and beyond.

It’s worth keeping in mind that your skin will change significantly as you get older, so take some time to identify any new concerns or changing skin conditions. Either do your homework, or consider seeing a professional at a skincare counter to help you.

Keep it simple

It can be easy to get carried away once you start discovering a new routine. However, it’s important to keep it simple; this means you’ve got more chance of keeping it up every day! No one wants to spend half an hour in front of the mirror every morning or night, so stick to minimum products and it will quickly become part of your everyday routine.

One of the best tips for good skin maintenance is using a quality cleanser. Look out for the type of cleanser that will work best for your skin; they often come in various textures like a milk, cream, balm or facial wash.

You should follow your cleanser with a toner. Toners are designed to remove any leftover impurities which your cleanser may not have picked up. There are toners for specific skin types, created with a variety of ingredients, so don’t just choose any old type!

One of the final steps should be to moisturise; even if you have oily skin. Hydrating your skin through a moisturiser can ensure your skin remains healthy. You may want to consider a serum or eye cream to finish with.

It is worth noting that moisturiser is designed to sit on the surface of your skin and protect it from external elements. Serum, on the other hand, sinks right into your skin for extra treatment.

Protecting your skin

You don’t have to be on holiday or in direct sunlight to wear SPF. Our skin is almost always exposed to some sort of UV, even if it’s cloudy outside. By wearing some kind of sunscreen, even if it’s in your makeup, you’re protecting your skin from a multitude of things, such as skin discolouration and appearance of red veins or blotchiness.

Wearing SPF will also slow down wrinkles and stop your skin from prematurely ageing.

Your makeup and fragrance routine

Once you’ve achieved glowing, healthy skin, it’s important to incorporate the rest of your beauty regime. When it comes to applying makeup, consider investing in a primer that is designed for your particular skin condition. Makeup primers are designed to reduce redness, diminish pores or create a matte or dewy finish.

Also, as mentioned earlier, look for foundation that has SPF in it; a layer of foundation alone is simply not enough to protect your skin.

Wearing fragrance is the perfect finish to your beauty regime; but did you know there’s a skill to wearing it properly? Tips from beauty experts have revealed that you should never rub your wrists together after spraying perfume, as this creates friction and heat which can change the scent.

It’s also interesting to note that perfume doesn’t last long on dry skin; even more reason to look after your skin with the right products!

Whatever you do, don’t cover up your perfume with your clothes; target areas like your neck, wrist or inner elbow if you’re wearing short sleeves.

So, now you have a better idea of skincare, makeup and even fragrance, hopefully you can start to put together the perfect beauty regime that works for you.

Unlike today's teens, who look like they have just stepped down from the Inglot MUA's chair, we are from the era of foundation covered lips and self applied French manicures.

Perhaps it's down to the mass of YouTube tutorials and Instagram inspiration that wasn't available to us back in the day, but today's teens fail to fall into the (foundation coated) makeup traps we did in secondary school.

Here are a few of the top nostalgic makeup techniques we used back in the day:

1. Foundation lips

Foundation coated lips were the basis of an excellent makeup look in secondary school.

While voluptuous, lined and highlighted lips may be all the rage now, when we were 15, the look du jour was to pretend you didn't have any lips at all.

A post shared by Kirsty Downie (@kirstydownie) on

2. Foundation types

If it wasn't Dream Matte Mousse or pan stick, we didn't want it.

There was something about the mousses' air whipped formula that we found perfect for school, and the shiny, tanned, glamorous sheen awarded to our visages by pan stick was too good for us to resist.

The problem was the liberal nature in which we applied these products, rather than the products themselves. Less is more wasn't our mantra back in the day.

A post shared by Kelly Curtis (@sephora_addiction) on

3. Spidery lashes

Again with the opposition to less is more, layering mascara onto our lashes until they resembled a terrifying mass of brambles was the way to go.

Bonus points is the mascara started flaking off and left gorge little black specks under your eyes.

Fake eyelashes from the €2 Shop were also an option for discos, which were to be bought alongside your tube of glowsticks and disposable camera.

A post shared by Anna Joy (@makeupbyannajoy) on

4. Brushes? What brushes?

If an eye shadow palette came with a little sponge applicator, that was what was used for liberally layering the pastel shades.

The term brush roll sounded more like a baking term to us in our teens.

Applying foundation with your fingers was also an acceptable activity, whereas todays' teens wouldn't be caught dead without their beauty blender.

5. Orange foundation

There is something about being uber-tanned that seems like an absolute accolade when you are in your teenage years.

But like, who could be arsed tanning your whole body or splashing the cash for spray tans?

The natural remedy to our pasty skin was layers on tan in the spots of skin people could see, like our necks and forearms, and a nice coating of 'deep tan' foundation on our faces.

A post shared by @2000spop on

6. Foundation mask

Speaking of the aforementioned foundation, it was left in a flat, featureless mask on our faces, with the likes of highligher and contouring distant gifts from the future which had yet to be awarded to us via Kim Kardashian (who wasn't even a thing at this stage of our lives).

You may have occasionally opted for two delightful stripes of bronzer along your cheekbones or a splash of bright pink blush, but telling someone to get their 'highlight on fleek' back in 2008 would have been a completely foreign concept.

7. Raccoon eyes

Whether you were simply experimenting with a new look or had a deep, passionate relationship with The Pretty Reckless or Panic! at the Disco, raccoon eyeliner was the territory of emo kids at secondary schools the country over.

The look was accompanied by a matte black a swathe of eye shadow across the upper lid, symbolic of the deep and dark nature of the tormented soul of the wearer.

8. A severe lack of blending

Blending our makeup was something that we never did as teens.

After all, what was the point of wearing makeup if it didn't look like you were wearing makeup?

From that attractive orange jaw line to eye shadow that went all the way up to your brows, blending was far from the essential technique that it is seen as by the kids these days.

1. Subtle smokey eye

We are loving this gorgeous makeup look by MUA Aimee Connolly. A subtle smokey eye is perfect for Christmas day, leaving you with a warm glow, yet still appearing understated.

2. Statement lip

Nothing says Christmas quite like a statement red lip, like this one from Joanne Larby.

Pair a popping red lip with just a simple lick of eyeliner, and you are ready to jingle-bell ROCK.

3. Pretty in pink

We LOVE pink eyeshadow so much, because it is so pretty, yet quite edgy.

Rather than going all out with a harsh smokey eye, why not try a touch of pink, for a softer, daytime look.

4. Gold member

We are loving this festive, gold makeup look!

Stick to a relatively neutral lip colour, and go all out with beautiful metallic eyeshadow. Santa will love it!

5. Glitter liner

Keep your makeup simple and natural, then add a gorgeous hint of sparkle.

We are so in love with glitter eyeliner, and we think it makes for the most perfect Christmas look of all! HO HO HO.

Makeup can give you that special finishing touch for any prom look, so you can stand out from the crowd. Whether you are going for a low-key or high-fashion look, you want to make sure your makeup is done to perfection.

Although it would be lovely to have a professional come and do your makeup for the big night, this is not an affordable luxury for most people. We've got a few quick tips and tricks to help you take charge and get prom ready in no time, no stress.

Dress to Impress

You've probably spent a lot of time finding your dream prom dress, so it's important to centre your makeup look on it. Your makeup and dress should always compliment one another, rather than compete for attention.

For example, if you were wearing prom dresses in bright colours with embellishments such as this gorgeous number from JJ's House, a complimentary makeup look would be matching red lipstick with light eye makeup.

A heavily made-up eye area would be too busy for this style of dress and completely overdo your overall look.

If you're wearing a plainer style of dress like this JJ's House velvet gown, you can combine sultry, smoky eyes with your red lipstick as it's a makeup look that compliments the material and these styles of prom dresses.

Mirrored Magnificence

It might not usually be a good idea to copy other people's work or ideas, but when it comes to makeup looks, it's practically a recommendation!

We often see celebrities or models made up in a way that we think will suit us too – prom can be the perfect place to try it out!

The key to making this look work can be summed up in one word: practice! If you leave it until prom day to try it out, chances are it will be a complete disaster – it might look like a mess or just not look as good as you thought it would.

Prom night is not the time to work this out.

If you want to mirror the look of your favourite celebrity, practice and preparation are the best ways for you to get there.

Testing 1, 2, 3

One of the biggest things most people forget to do is make sure their makeup looks good in pictures. This is something that again is best to practice and prepare before the big night.

Flash photography can wash out your skin and makeup, and can make you look pasty and startled! You would be shocked to know what the biggest culprit for this is: moisturiser – or more specifically, moisturiser with sunscreen in it.

The sunscreen reflects the flash, completely washes out your face and mismatches the tone from your body.

Make sure you plan ahead and check to make sure the face cream or foundation you use on prom night does not include sunscreen. If it's only a small amount, you can try and take photos to test how reflective it might be.

Beauty journalist and Instagram influencer Sali Hughes knows a thing or two about makeup and skincare products.

With her huge following and her years of experience as columnist, she has tried and tested more beauty products that you could dream of.

That's why when we got lucky enough to ask the expert a few questions, we had to know which products she thinks we should invest in and which ones don't deserve a splurge.

So, high-end or high street?

For moisturiser, cleanser and makeup remover, she says either is fine.

For bronzer, Sali thinks both work well as long as you choose a mat one.

When it comes to foundation, she definitely recommends going high end. "Foundation takes us the biggest amount of real estate on your face. As you wear it all day, a cheap foundation can go very wrong and I have rarely met a cheap foundation I liked so it's better to invest there."

For mascara, the expert happens to use high-end products (her favourite is Clinique mascara) but she wouldn't think twice about using a cheaper one.

For eyeshadows and lipsticks, she believes you tend to get more pigments and more blendability in high-end products.

"There are exceptions, she says, but if you want the pigments to show up, it's normally best investing. If you want a whisper of colour like for bronzer and blusher, you can use cheaper ones".

As for the biggest mistake she sees women make when it comes to beauty, using the wrong colour foundation is by far number one. "The job of your foundation is not to darken your skin! Use a foundation that matches your skin and if you want to look tanned, bring the tan with a bronzer".
