The gorgeous Rêve de Miel collection by NUXE already has stellar reputation as essential products for dry and sensitive skin, and now the French brand has added two new products to the range.

NUXE is one of the best-loved French beauty brands for a reason; they hold a deep respect for nature, they value the protection of bees and create only the highest quality goods.

To prepare yourself and our skin for the harshness of winter, Rêve de Miel will now have a rich balm for the face and a silky, melting oil balm for the body. Just when we thought we couldn't love them more than we already do, NUXE only go and gift us with two glorious goodies.

1. Ultra-Comforting Face Balm, €29.50

NUXE's face balm is a divinely comforting treat for the skin, and has become an essential staple for dry skin both at night and during the day.

Its ultra-rich formula provides a medley of nourishing, soothing and repairing active ingredients: Honey, Shea Butter, Safflower Ceramides and precious Botanical Oils

The face balm also contains Propolis Oleoactive, a 100 percent natural, French active ingredient. They make sure to use an eco-friendly extraction method for their ingredients.

Propolis is produced by bees and contains over 300 active molecules with anti-oxidant, soothing, nourishing, repairing and purifying properties.

2. Melting Body Oil Balm with Honey, €25.90

The glorious oil balm provides an effective response to intense dryness using highly-concentrated nourishing properties.

The body oil balm has a high concentration of fatty acids (Argan and Borage Precious Botanical Oils), which provide the skin with maximum nutrition.

Its silky balm texture melts over the skin and transforms into a fine oil when massaged, cloaking the skin in a beautiful potion with luscious notes of Honey, Mimosa and Vanilla. We can't get enough of it.

3. Deliciously Nourishing Body Scrub, €26.50

This two-in-one scrub is honestly a delight, featuring Honey, Sugar Crystals and Precious Oils for exfoliating and nourishing the body in a single step.

On contact with water, its balm texture transforms into a lotion, covering the skin in a soft protective veil. If you want to refine and smooth the skin's texture, this should be your go-to product.

4. Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel, €20.50

This rich gel for your face and body uses honey to cleanse, with a gentle action thanks to its botanical-origin cleansing base.

Use in the shower or add some to a warm bath for skincare perfection. Its scented notes will soothe both your skin and mind, it's self-care heaven.

5. Repairing Super Balm with Honey, €20.90

This product combines the concentrated strength of Honey with Beeswax and precious Botanical Oils to nourish and repair very dry and weakened areas of the face and body.

Balloon Vine diffuses its soothing properties to relieve sensations of tightness and itching. Use on your chin, elbows, heels and sides of the nose for healing effects.

6. Hand and Nail Cream, €9

We dream of having this silky potion with Honey and Botanical Oils within easy reach at all times, to deploy its nourishing, anti-oxidant and repairing properties all the way to the tips of the nails, with no sticky or oily effect.

A must-have product to protect hands from wind and cold this autumn/winter. We hate the feeling of chapped hands, but NUXE have solved all our dehydrated skincare problems.

Even though 'Winter is Coming', there's no need to have a skincare panic moment. We adore how the French brand truly value and respect nature, and it's reflected perfectly in their Rêve de Miel range.

Nuxe is available from Arnotts, selected Boots, Cloud 10 Beauty, Lloyd’s pharmacy, McCauleys pharmacy and all other major pharmacies nationwide.

When it comes to balancing our super-sensitive skin, it can be a nightmare trying to figure out what each of our faces need to be perfectly soothed.

Our latest recommendation comes as no surprise to those in the beauty industry who have been raving over the product for months; Payot's Crème N°2 Cachemire.

Everything from stress, hormones and UV rays to air pollution and diet can damage our skin, making it hyper-sensitive as a result.

Drawing on the latest discoveries in the skin biology industry, the Payot Crème N°2 Cachemire strengthens and restores balance to your sensitive skin.

The cachemire cream nourishes your system, calms any sensation of discomfort and reduces the irritations and redness of sensitive and dry skin. What could be better?

As a result of the science, skin is reinforced and protected from external aggressions because of the cutaneous flora action, which helps to maintain the natural balance of the skin.

Payot Crème N°2 Cachemire has a gorgeous, healthy formula containing Boswellia extract, Jasmine Flower extract, Prebiotic and Probiotic.

Its creamy texture envelops your skin straight from application. Day after day, your skin is left feeling soothed and luminous, and the sensation of discomfort from redness is alleviated.

Gain total facial calmness and soft, brightened complexion for just €50- We insist that it's worth the money.

All Payot products are available in pharmacies and selected stores nationwide, as well as online.

Many of us are now turning to buying smaller versions of our favourite beauty and skincare products, but many brands don't offer the right size for travelling.

With much of the population booking a last-minute trips before the summer draws to an end, the issue of transporting your entire beauty regimen abroad can be a challenge.

One brand has risen above the rest for their travel-sized skincare goodies, and we simply have to rave about them; Eau Thermale Avène.

For cleansing:

Its formula, rich in thermal avène water and monolaurin, also prevents irritation and gently combats spots, excess sebum and blackheads.

Eau Thermale Avène Hydrance Intense Serum 30ml: €26

A day in the sun can leave skin dehydrated and feeling rough and tight, but Avène has the answer once again with an intense moisturising treatment.

Hydrance Intense Serum increases hydration by 45 percent, 4 hours after first application and can be felt for up to 24 hours after stopping applications.

It has been specially formulated with 3 active ingredients which work together to hydrate dull, dry skin. A smooth, radiant complexion is the result.

The SA Smoothing range represents 25 percent of CeraVe's business in America, and now the range's two hero products are launching in Ireland next month.

Salicylic acid has been the go-to ingredients for those suffering with skin issues for years. It's a brilliant exfoliator, and gets rid of those pesky dead cells from the skin's surface.

It's just one component of a group of chemicals called Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs); oil-soluble acids that break down dirt and debris that block pores and cause blackheads.

Some people find salicyclic acid too drying to use on their skin, which is where CeraVe's new SA Smoothing range comes in.

CeraVe products contain moisturising ingredients such as urea, which improves hydration and exfoliates dead skin, as well as hyaluronic acid, which binds moisture to the skin.

The SA Smoothing range offers all of the benefits of salicylic acid while hydrating the skin and restoring its natural barrier simultaneously.

CeraVe's range treats dry, rough and/or bumpy skin, and chronic conditions like Keratosis Pilatis (KP), which affects 40 percent of adults and teenagers globally.

The SA Smoothing Cleanser, €12.50 (236 ml)

The SA Smoothing Cleanser is a gentle gel cleanser which aims to give your skin the same effective cleansing without tightness.

This product now offers skin-brightening exfoliation, without damaging the skin's natural barrier. It's safe for everyday use, whether it's for clearing congested skin or for a glowing complexion.

Designed for use on the face, it can also be used on the body and is free of physical exfoliants.

SA Smoothing Cream, €12.50 (177ml tube) / €20 (340g tub)

CeraVe's SA Smoothing Cream is a deeply hydrating body formulation that contains lactic acid (an AHA), as well as salicylic acid (a BHA) and is specifically designed to soften and remove rough and bumpy skin.

It's especially effective on dry, scaly skin and on areas of keratosis pilaris (KP). The combination of AHA and BHA helps to break down the keratin, while the non-sticky, non-greasy formula hydrates and moisturises.

The SA Smoothing Cream is available in a tube or a tub, and both the Smoothing Cream and the Smoothing Cleanser are fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

They can be used for all skin types, be it spot-prone skin or sensitive skin. We've all experienced negative reactions to products with high amounts of chemicals, irritants or fragrances, so CeraVe's new range is ideal for those of us with complex skin.

94 percent of the range's users felt that their skin felt smoother, softer and more hydrated after only three days. The skin barrier function was improved after just one hour, so it's a guaranteed cult beauty product.

CeraVe SA Smoothing range will be available in Irish pharmacies in September 2019.

Let's get our facts straight about cannabidiol, first of all. The cannabusiness is positively booming, thanks to the high street fanfare over hemp-based beauty products.

What exactly is CBD? Cannabidiol is a purified, non-psychoacative compound harvest from the cannabis plant, and NO it can't get you high. It can, however, give those who suffer from psoriasis, eczema and acne another choice for solving their skin problems.

CBD collaborates with your body, according to Roby Zomer, CEO of MGC Derma. She spoke to Elle, saying that cannabidiol works with your body's internal endocannabinoid system to give relief from inflammation.

A post shared by Holland & Barrett (@hollandandbarrett) on

Beauty brands are now creating products which don't embody the stereotypes surrounding cannabis, and are treating CBD like any other beauty product.

Celebrities from Gwyneth Paltrow to Jennifer Aniston swear by CBD oil, and it's fast become part of a global new trend striving to promote wellness.

Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow told Into The Gloss;

"If I have a particularly stressful time, someone gave me some CBD oil in a little drop. It doesn't make you stoned or anything, just a little relaxed,

Holland & Barratt CBD day cream (50ml)
Price: €17.99, for over 18s only

CBD skincare is essentially just skincare infused with short cannabidiol, which is the LEGAL, non-psychotropic component of marijuana known for relieving aches and pains.

From offering you a chilled-out feeling to reducing inflammation, we see why the hype has been curated. It doesn't contain tetrahydrocannabinol, found in weed, which is why it can't give you a high.

CBD and THC are sourced from two different parts of the marijuana plant, so it's perfectly legal and safe to use CBD skincare.

Why the fuss? Well, CBD-infused skincare is believed to have the ability to aid acne issues and skin sensitivity due to it's anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

It's also thought to act as an anti-ageing product due to it's antioxidant features. The Holland & Barratt moisturiser (day cream) has been getting absolutely RAVE reviews, and we had to suss it out.

The CBD day cream is carefully formulated to give you the best hemp seed oils for your skin. The 100 percent natural product is antioxidant rich and is suitable for all skin types, vegetarians and vegans.

Instagram/@hollandandbarrett

Both the CBD and Hemp oils work together to help regulate the skin's oil production, which gives you the right balance for your skin type.

It's believed to slow down the ageing process, reducing free-radicals and allowing your skin to appear firm and healthy. It's intensive moisturisation has created a fan frenzy around it.

Use the moisturiser every day after cleansing, and it's best used in combination with the Holland and Barrett CBD Serum and CBD Night Cream.

Test out the day cream and see if you agree with the fantastic reviews, it may just become your must-have beauty item. You'll be a cannaboss in no time.

Victoria Beckham always looks flawless.

And the 44-year-old took to Instagram Stories to reveal what she uses on her ever-youthful skin.

The answer took us by surprise, to say the least.

The fashion designer explained that she splashes out on a £1,200 face cream created by celebrity Dr. Barbara Sturm, known for her 'vampire facials.'

Yes, the face cream is made with the owners own blood.

The cream, called MC1, has anti-ageing properties and the blood is taken during a consultation and mixed in a lab – then it's frozen for future orders.

Victoria said in an Instagram Story that, ''Dr. Sturm took my blood and created healing factors made by my own cells, which is highly anti-inflammatory and regenerative. I’ll be testing it out this week both morning and night.''

The result?

Victoria posted a picture of her with glowing skin and wrote, ''After sleeping in the mask, (which soaks in so doesn't look funny or feel sticky) my skin feels amazing! Super hydrated and clear! And very soft!".

So, moisturiser made form your own blood anyone?

We think we might leave this one to celebs like Posh Spice and stick to our No. 7.

Everywhere we look there is a new and fantastic cosmetic to be seen (and admired), but with all of the glitz and glamour that come alongside mermaid makeup or a snazzy new palette – we tend to forget about one really important thing.

When it comes to beauty products, and skincare as a whole, we are of the opinion that moisturiser is the true key to success.

A suitable moisturiser can help prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture, and mask certain unsightly imperfections.

Due to the fact that moisturisers hold water in the outermost layer of skin, they also act as a temporary barrier for your skin – so what's not to love?

Honestly now, there is no point in forking out a fortune on an expensive foundation if you're not using a good moisturiser, so we have listed the five best face creams on the beauty market right now.

New season, new make-up trends, new wardrobe… and a new set of hard conditions for our skin.

Let's be honest, Irish winters can be harsh – and we're not talking about the cold, rain and wind – but they dry and dull skin that can result from it.

Sporting a dry, chapped face is never a good look, but with these few simple tips, your face will be glowing all winter long:

You're using your regular moisturiser

It's time to bring in the heavyweights. A winter beauty kit isn't complete without an industrial strength moisturiser.

You will need a good day-time moisturiser and an even richer one for night-time. Heavy moisturiser is useful because it restores the hydration that is lost on the outer layer of skin.

Leaving out SPF

Just because the sun doesn't shine through the clouds during winter months doesn't mean the UV rays aren't as intense – yep, they still knock around during the winter. Make sure you still use a SPF.

Sunscreen prevents not only sun burn but wrinkles, age spots, and of course, skin cancer. Look out for a moisturiser with a built in SPF to make your beauty routine even handier.

Over-exfoliating

Exfoliating is a great way to get rid of dead skin cells, but over-doing it in winter does more harm than good.

Just tone down on the peels and scrubs during these months as you're in risk of stripping away your natural oils. Instead, use a hot face cloth or cleanser to remove dead skin cells.

Not drinking enough water

You knew this was coming! But it's so essential for your skin and your body to stock up on some H2O during the cold months.

Drinking at least eight glasses of water will rehydrate your skin and stop any puffiness you might experience once the chilly weather strikes. Also be aware that coffee and alcohol can dry out your skin too.

Staying in a hot shower

We know it's tempting to stay in a hot shower when it's freezing outside, but after about 15 minutes the heat begins to strip away your skin's lipid layer (a complex of fatty acids that holds in precious moisture).

Turn the temperature down as much as you can or shorten your shower time. Your water bill will thank you anyway.

You think you found a great moisturiser – but how can you be sure?

Every brand promises the best you can get; and every magazine promotes their favourite, so it's not uncommon for you to be a bit confused on what ACTUALLY works.

Here, we research what five ingredients you should have in your moisturiser to help you along the way to soft, supple and beautiful skin:

Petrolatum acid

Look out for this ingredient in your moisturiser as it lubricates the skin and reduces moisture loss by strengthening the protective barrier of your skin. This means no more flaky or sore skin. Yay!

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid (HA), is actually naturally found in your skin. It is a powerful hydrator that holds up to a thousand times its weight in water. You need this in your moisturiser as it plays a critical role in keeping the surface of your skin hydrated and plumped.

Glycerin

This ingredient helps maintain the skin's internal water balance by attracting and sealing in moisture. Glycerin is also hugely helpful for people with psoriasis (a condition which causes skin cells to shed too quickly) as is helps skin cells reach full maturation before shedding to new skin.

Urea

Urea increases water retention and absorption of other skin care products. When combined with other ingredients like lactic acid (see below), it can accelerate skin cell renewal through exfoliation, which results in a gorgeous, natural glow.

Lactic Acid

Lactic acid is a great ingredient to find in your moisturiser. It acts as a gentle exfoliant to reveal new skin. It also helps other skin care products to absorb onto your skin more quickly, giving you faster results.
