Yearly Archives: 2019

So back in February of 2018, which seems like decades ago at this stage, Heidi Klum declared that she'd be down to f*ck with none other than DRAKE himself.

Imagine that combo? We'd be here for it. Unfortunately, Drake texted her "a week too late", and she ended up ghosting him.

She has now apologised for her Casper move, and it's such a gas. She's the gift that keeps on giving.

Back when Klum was single, she went on The Ellen Show and played a game of 'Who'd You Rather' with Queen Ellen DeGeneres herself.

It was revealed that the Canadian rap god reached out to the 45-year-old model, but she didn't reply. 'But why??' I hear you ask.

Well, she'd met her now-fiancé; Tom Kaulitz. Case closed.

I SAID YES

A post shared by Heidi Klum (@heidiklum) on

She spoke to Ellen yesterday about her now-infamous ghosting of Drake, saying;

“I said I’m sorry, because I know I made a huge wave after I was here, and he just made that face,” Klum imitated the emoji which the 32-year-old rapper replied with.

Ellen, being the sh*t-stirring wizard that she is, responded, “That’s all he responded? Oh, he’s mad.”

Poor Drakey. You snooze, you lose, henny.

If you have tickets for Friday 12 & 19, you'll be treated to Childish Gambino.

Headlining April 13 and 20 is Australian rockers Tame Impala.

Ariana is clearly buzzing to take the stage later this year.

In a tweet she thanked Coachella, saying that she was "humbled and excited as all hell."

Fans were absolutely delighted to hear the singer would be owning the Sunday nights.

If you've managed to cover the cost of the pricey weekend – we are JEALOUS.

As you soak in the sun and the music, think of us in rainy Ireland, too poor to fork out for the festival.

There is a new Internet challenge doing the rounds on social media, thanks to Netflix’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi hit Bird Box.

The movie, starring Sandra Bullock, tells the tale of a mother bringing her two children on a deadly blindfolded journey through a dangerous world, in which a mysterious force causes people to commit suicide with a glance.

While searching for a safe place that hasnt been marred by the force, the trio navigate the world completely blind – and a challenge mimicking their experience has sprung up online.

The Bird Box challenge sees people videoing and photographing themselves performing tasks blindfolded – sometimes in dangerous situations.

Many videos show people injuring themselves by walking into walls, or falling over objects.

One appears to show a man attempting to drive a car on a busy motorway with his eyes covered. Another shows a person trying to cross a road blindfolded, as cars rush by.

Another shows a father and his two children navigating their home blindfolded. One child ends up smashing into an interior wall of the home, after being dragged along by the parent.

Netflix issued a warning on Twitter asking people not to take part in the Bird Box challenge.

'Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE.'

'We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.'

The helpline which was set up by the HSE to offer information on unplanned pregnancies to women was reportedly "busy but not overwhelmed" on it's first day yesterday.

The HSE set up the MyOptions helpline in order to act as the main referral path for women seeking abortion services.

On the first day of operation services available nationwide, 20 women sought an abortion according to GPs who have agreed to carry out the services.

The exact level of demand will not be known yet for another number of weeks.

The Irish Times reports that it will be next week at least until the first terminations can be carried out, as a result of the three-day 'cooling-off' period.

The first cases which were referred to doctors ranged from upwards of four weeks' gestation.

In terms of cases which are close to the 12-week limit, they will be facilitated with same-day appointments at the nearest maternity unit.

The flow of Irish women who are travelling to the UK for abortion services is expected to continue, though at a reduced level, as abortions over 12 weeks are not permitted under Irish law except under highly limited circumstances.

The Minister for Health will be notified of the amount of terminations performed within 28 days.

A number of minor teething issues have arisen involving blood testing procedures and ultrasound provision.

Simon Harris has said;

“The level of preparedness varies, but the initial experience with the HSE’s helpline has been very positive."

Plastic surgery appears to be embedded in celebrity culture, especially among the infamous Kardashian family, with procedures such as lip injections, nose jobs, hip and bum implants, and boob jobs seemingly becoming the norm.

What has just come to our undivided attention however, is the rise of a new strange trend involving… wait for it… NIPPLE IMPLANTS.

A recent New York Post video which involves a plastic surgeon explaining the rise of 'designer nipples' has come to light, and we're so shaken.

The video features an anonymous 28-year-old patient who is sitting in plastic surgeon Norman Rowe's exam room. The woman explains that she aspires to have nipples like Kendall Jenners:

"I love Kendall Jenner, and I love that she just doesn't wear a bra. You can't see her nipples, but you can see the pointiness."

"I think there's something really sexy and feminine about it," she says, lamenting the fact that her nipples never get hard.

"I think it would be really cool to just have protruding nipples all the time," continues. Rowe uses a hyaluronic acid-based filler to add volume to the nipples and to make sure that they can be seen through the woman's clothes.

Hydraulic acid fillers start at about $700 in price and usually last roughly two years. Rowe told Allure that cosmetic nipple procedures have been occurring for years;

"It recently became popular with patients desiring nipples like their favourite reality stars," he says.

Patients also ask for "smaller areoles, smaller nipples, larger areoles, larger nipples, a change in colour or change in the shape of the areola, or any combination thereof," he says.

Darren M. Smith, another NYC plastic surgeon, prefers a different approach;

"I would generally guide patients towards a biocompatible implant-based solution as we have more control over this kind of procedure given the delicate nature of the surrounding anatomy,"

"I would exercise great caution before injecting fillers into the nipple as the risk of damaging these structures is real."

"Filler could clog milk ducts or inhibit blood supply to the nipple which could interfere with breastfeeding, sensation, or even damage the nipple itself."

Rowe, however, claims that the only risks involved are "getting too many compliments." Would you try it?

For those of you who still need to catch up on your Netflix shows, don't miss the chilling new stalker series YOU.

The show stars Penn Badgley as a bookstore manager named Joe Goldbery, who meets an unsuspecting aspiring poet, Guinevere Beck, and gets a LITTLE too attached. To say the least.

He stalks the hell out of her, basically. Think Gossip Girl's Dan Humphries but way more creepy.

It's now been announced super on the down-low on the You Instagram account that the thriller hit is getting a second series.

Since it was released, the show has been talked about non-stop online, both for the crazy plot and the chilling acting skills of Mr Badgley.

Anyone who has seen season one probably aren't surprised at the announcement, as it ends on a major cliffhanger.

YOU is based on the book of the same name by Caroline Kepnes.

Pretty much everyone who has watched the show are debating deleting their social media accounts, as Joe stalks Beck entirely from her Instagram and Facebook accounts.

He finds out LITERALLY everything about her from a single click; where she lives, her place of work, aspects of her personality, her interests, her book loves, you name it.

Once he gets his hands on her phone, he can access her emails, group chats and messages. Which is basically someone's entire life, these days.

You'll also be looking over your shoulder a lot more…

The famous couple have two other children; North West and Saint West. Kim Kardashian was allegedly advised not to have any more natural pregnancies by doctors after two complicated births.

Another birth could prove life-threatening for Kim, after she suffered from placenta accreta during her first two baby deliveries.

In August, Kardashian rejected tabloid claims that Kimye were planning their fourth child, telling Harper's Bazaar:

"I don't know, I don't know, I read that, I read something…none of that was true," she said, coyly.

The reality television star and member of the most famous family in America spoke to ELLE in 2018 about her torn emotions over baby number four.

"I dunno," she commented. "My home and my heart feel really full right now, in the best way." She then made it absolutely clear that four kids would be more than enough for her, with her lack of time.

We hope they confirm the rumours soon, what exciting news.

Pete Davidson has performed his first stand-up comedy show since his troubling social media posts depicting suicidal thoughts.

He opened up about his relationship with pop singer Ariana Grande, his former fiancé. Since their much-publicised split, Pete has been relatively quiet about the singer, aside from his worrying Instagram posts.

The Saturday Night Live star performed a set in Boston on New Year's Eve, and you can bet the Thank, U Next star came up in conversation.

He first made a quip regarding their break-up a few weeks ago, Ari clapped back with; "For somebody who claims to hate relevancy you sure love clinging to it, huh. Thank u. next."

The topic of break-up songs was brought up by Davidson during his show, with the comedian commenting that;

"Here's the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it's about but you don't really know. That G named all of us," he spoke to the crowd, blatantly referring to the number one song Thank U, Next.

"Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big dick." He continued.

"So I start playing it. And we're all like, "Ehhh… it's ok." We're like "Okay, it's not that bad for you."

"It made me see how ugly people can get, and how cool people can be," he reportedly said, according to Us Weekly.

The publication claims that Pete carried on with his Ariana conversation, saying that most artists don't actually name their exes in their songs.

He joked;

"Not this wonderful lady. This diabolical genius named all of us." He also said that the smash hit song premiered right before SNL, at which point he told his cast-mates and friends:

"We all have to listen to this song and you all have to look at me, it’s gonna be rough."

Yikes. He later described crying with his mother on the kitchen table after hearing the song.

Well, break-ups rarely end without at least one party feeling heartbroken.

At least Pete admitted that the song is catchy, he's trying to see the brighter side of 2019 by the sound of things…
