As we all know, shopping for maternity clothes is an absolute nightmare. Nearly everything is outrageously expensive, and even if you do decide to invest in a few items, then you're disheartened by the fact that you only get to wear them for a few short months.

That's why we were so thrilled to hear that Dunnes Stores has launched a new maternity collection under the badge of its popular Savida brand.

They're creating more affordable choices in the market for expectant mums who want to look great throughout their pregnancy, without breaking the bank.

This exciting capsule collection offers expecting mums a complete maternity wardrobe that builds on Savida's trend-led fashion at extremely affordable prices. The collection is built around the insight that pregnant women want a wardrobe of key staples and statement pieces they can wear throughout their pregnancy.

The Savida maternity collection is comprised of pieces that will take the wearer from work-day to weekend wear and everything in between.

The maternity line includes feminine dresses with tie detail and soft stretch fabrics in prints and polka dots.

Soft chunky knit tops with ruffle detail and more casual scoop neck vest and long-sleeved tops can be paired with seamfree leggings, jersey skirts, and skinny jeans.

Savida's trademark embellishments and feminine style are evident in the cute button detail sweatshirt, while the flattering Laura scoop neck jersey dress in black is a key piece that completes the collection.

The new Savida Maternity line from Dunnes Stores is available online and in the following shops: Stephen's Green, Cornelscourt, Henry Street, Blanchardstown, Liffey Valley, Tallaght, Swords Pavilions, Newbridge, Terryland, Jetland SC, Patrick Street, Bandon Road, Cornmarket, Forrestside, Foyleside, Forte Letterkenny.

The helpline which was set up by the HSE to offer information on unplanned pregnancies to women was reportedly "busy but not overwhelmed" on it's first day yesterday.

The HSE set up the MyOptions helpline in order to act as the main referral path for women seeking abortion services.

On the first day of operation services available nationwide, 20 women sought an abortion according to GPs who have agreed to carry out the services.

The exact level of demand will not be known yet for another number of weeks.

The Irish Times reports that it will be next week at least until the first terminations can be carried out, as a result of the three-day 'cooling-off' period.

The first cases which were referred to doctors ranged from upwards of four weeks' gestation.

In terms of cases which are close to the 12-week limit, they will be facilitated with same-day appointments at the nearest maternity unit.

The flow of Irish women who are travelling to the UK for abortion services is expected to continue, though at a reduced level, as abortions over 12 weeks are not permitted under Irish law except under highly limited circumstances.

The Minister for Health will be notified of the amount of terminations performed within 28 days.

A number of minor teething issues have arisen involving blood testing procedures and ultrasound provision.

Simon Harris has said;

“The level of preparedness varies, but the initial experience with the HSE’s helpline has been very positive."

Kate Middleton is fiercely dominating the fashion industry, and we are loving it!

According to eBay's annual UK Retail Report, one fab woman has been named the top royal fashion influencer of the year – Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of Cambridge has even surpassed the Duchess of Sussex, who has been ranked as number two.

But are we really that surprised? The fashionista was the envy of pregnant mums everywhere with her classic colour choices and bold pattern combinations.

At her little Louis’ christening, she arrived in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress with stylish structured sleeves. Kate was also crowned with a matching Jane Taylor headpiece, adorned with intricately laced flowers.

Princess Kate has looked simply stunning in her sleek outfits during her three pregnancies, before and after she had her darling children.

Her royal style has been the #fashiongoals of late for mums all over the globe.

The Duchess’ number one status is linked to the burst in searches for maternity clothes by British consumers.

Tailored maternity coats became all the rage when Kate claimed them as part of her go-to outfit ensemble, and searches for them more than tripled in November 2017 when she was parading around town during her third pregnancy.

And who could forget when the princess introduced Prince Louis to the public for the first time, sporting a fabulous, red Jenny Packham dress.

eBay searches surged for Packham fashion after her son’s debut, more than doubling their usual number.

As for her fellow duchess, Meghan’s top influencing moment was during her May wedding when she walked down the aisle in a dazzling, Givenchy dress. Afterwards, searches for the designer increased by 60 percent.

But Kate and Meghan weren't the only two to make the royal cut.

The adorable Princess Charlotte came third place, sparking searches for floral crowns (60% increase) and dresses (40% increase) as they became the must-haves of kids wear.

Her elder brother George came fourth for his popular Peter Pan collared shirts, followed by the Queen in fifth, due mostly to her elegant brooches.

The Image Business Of Beauty Awards: a glittering gala black tie dinner event held last night at Dublin’s swish DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

Hosted by the always dapper Darren Kennedy, in attendance were 500 industry professionals.

Suffice to say then that it’s a date in the diary that most eight months’ pregnant women would dread.

Not so for Pippa O’Connor, however, who is expecting her second child with her TV presenter husband Brian Ormond.

The 31-year-old, walked away with the award for Best Irish Beauty Blogger – and looked all sorts of oh-so-amazing in the process.

Wearing a slinky black dress with lace detail and studded orange Louboutins, Ms O’Connor – already mum to three-year-old Ollie – truly turned heads.

In fact, we dare say she hardly looks pregnant at all – never mind being on the verge of giving birth.

The former model recently enjoyed a romantic babymoon with her husband of five years: the duo hit Paris for a weekend break earlier this month. Making sure to hit the likes of the Eiffel Tower, Pippa said she “loved every minute,” of the trip.

And taking to her popular blog, pippa.ie, the Kildare-native said last month that she was “starting to feel” more pregnant.

“I’m feeling much bigger with a proper bump now!” she wrote. “I’m starting to get a little uncomfortable some days – just with back pain and aches.”

More recently she revealed that clothes that fitted her “only a week or 2 ago all of a sudden don’t now- the rapid growth at the moment is crazy”.

What an amazing few days in #paris with @brianormondtv loved every minute of it- such a treat. Memories to treasure

She continued: “Baby is definitely getting big and strong each day – the kicks are so intense now and sometimes stop me in my tracks they’re that hard.”

The third annual Image Business Of Beauty Awards were held in association with Imedeen, Colgate and Boots, and recognised Ireland’s best beauty therapists and hairdressers as well as the country’s standout hair salons, beauty salons and skincare clinics.

Salon winners on the night included Waxperts; Tropical Popical, and Mimi’s Beauty Room.

After just four weeks of maternity leave, Kate Middleton is looking set to return to her royal duties.

With the Queen’s birthday parade looming on 13th June, it has been reported that the Queen is expecting the Duchess of Cambridge to be there.

This four weeks maternity leave is even shorter than the 39 days the Duchess took after the birth of her son, Prince George, in 2013.

A source close to the royals told OK US that the Queen “thinks a month is more than enough time for Kate to take off before she should return to performing her royal duties.”

This will be Kate’s first public event since the birth of her daughter, Princess Charlotte. The whole world will be watching and we already can’t wait to see what elegant ensemble she will be donning this time.

Meanwhile it’s already business as usual for William who jetted of to Switzerland last week for his first public duty since the birth of his daughter.

Four weeks isn’t a long time but we are already dying to see some more family snaps now that Kate is almost back!

Usually there are rumours and speculation before celebs finally announce their pregnancies, but fans of this model got a huge shock when they spotted this photo on her Instagram account last night.

The flawless Cara Delevingne, who has been romantically linked to actress Michelle Rodriguez, uploaded a picture of herself sporting dungarees and a noticeable baby bump.

Oh and her pet rabbit, Cecil.

However, things aren’t always as they seem and it turns out she was just modelling for her cousin’s vintage-inspired maternity brand, In Pig.

The picture included the caption: “Everyone check out @in_pig for all your maternity needs @cecildelevingne.”

We have to admit we’re a little disappointed – Cara definitely suits a baby bump and her little one would be unbelievably stylish!
