Gift wrapping is serious business, and cannot be taken for granted.

Whether you can't wrap a present to save your life or are the Wrap Queen of 2020, these cute 'n' chic ways to package your parcels this Christmas are the bomb.

Y'all are welcome, if you wrap gifts like these then you'll earn some MAJOR brownie points…

jimmy fallon television GIF

1.  The Car

All you need is brown paper, some string and a mini-tree (cut part of a bush and spray paint the tips white). Honestly this is just too adorable, the present outside of the gift is just as good as inside.

Image: Pinterest

2. Animal style

Why give a regularly wrapped gift when you can create a zoo of animal presents with some coloured paper, googly eyes and markers.

Image: Pinterest

3. The Colour-Me-In

Why give them store-bought wrapping paper when you could let their inner Picassos shine through?

So much paper is wasted when it comes to wrapping gifts, it would be lovely to create something artistic with the material.

Image: Pinterest

4. The Music Sheet

As Madonna once sang; "Music…makes the people…come together…yeah."

This applies for wrapping presents too, FYI. Try using music sheets to package your gifts, and you'll be the new musical diva of Christmas.

Image: Pinterest

5. Santa Paws

This one is a slightly unusual tactic to take this festive season, but maybe it's worth a shot? Unless PETA hear about it…*winces*

Surprise a loved one with a wrapped up kitty kat this year, unless Santa Claws rips her way out first.

6. Marvel at the Marble

Some gold and black paint on white paper mixed with watery dark tones can create a marble effect like MAGIC.

It's honestly looks so sophisticated, we can't even cope.

Image: Pinterest

7. The Chalkboard

Get yourself some black wrapping paper and white makers to create the chalkboard effect, and you could even write a cute lil' message especially for your loved one to read.

If its a sibling who you constantly squabble with, you could also just write: 'Santa prefers me.'

Image: Pinterest

8. Flower Power

If you've got a penchant for origami, this is the gift wrapping idea for you.

We're going to assume that most of you don't, in fact, have an obsession for origami.

Nevertheless, you can craft flowers by watching some decent Youtube tutorials, or just using cut up coloured sugar paper layered on top of one another, and using black fringed paper for the centre.

It's probably harder than it looks, but it could be worth a try…

Image: Pinterest

9. Calendar girls

Why not mark the special occasion by…literally marking the special occasion. On your present. Genius or what?

It also helps the environment from unnecessary waste if you decide to use this year's calendar for wrapping your gifts. EUREKA.

Image: Pinterest

10. Fairy lights

Light up your loved one's lives (yes, we actually said that) with this adorable gift wrapping idea.

All you need for this one is some brown paper and markers, and add glitter to spice it up. Simples.

Image: Pinterest

We're definitely going to try and tackle some of these gift wrapping ideas, they'll add a creative and personal touch to anyone's Christmas.

And the public, who have been flocking to the cinema to catch this year’s biggest films, are eagerly waiting to see who will be crowned the winner, or when it comes to the Critics' Choice Awards– winners.

There has been uproar following last night’s results when both Lady Gaga and Glenn Close, and Amy Adams and Patricia Arquette were tied in their respective categories.

It’s a rare occurrence and one that many stars would be extremely bothered by. Back in 1969, Bette Davis even said: “If someone gave me half an Oscar, I’d throw it back in their face.”

SHEmazing writers Kat O'Connor and Kate Brayden go head-to-head to discuss whether tying for awards is a good or bad outcome, and it gets HEATED, let us tell you.

Just The Two of Us by Kat O' Connor

I understand that giving the award to both Amy and Patricia, and Gaga and Glenn is controversial, but the sight of both duos on stage outweighs the controversy.

For me, the moment when Amy and Patricia embraced on stage and when Glenn cheered for Gaga’s triumph symbolises the sisterhood we have developed and strengthened in recent years.

The tie acknowledged the incredibly moving, outstanding and remarkable work of four talented women in Hollywood.

It wasn’t about who wore the most on-trend lipstick or whose gown was the most eye-catching.

That moment was about female friendship, celebrating one another’s achievements and showing the world that the days of cat-fights and backstage bitchiness are no more.

Amy and Patricia tying for best actress doesn’t take away from their stellar performances in Sharp Objects and Escape at Dannemora.

And the same goes for Gaga’s role in A Star Is Born and Glenn’s in The Wife.

I’ll leave you with the wise words of winner Amy Adams: “I actually can't think of a more beautiful thing than a tie because there really isn't a winner when we get to do such great work and we have such wonderful opportunities.”

Why Tying For Awards Is Entirely Pointless, by Kate Brayden

While I concur with the idea of supporting other women and acknowledging as much talent in female entertainment categories as possible, does giving two women out of seven in one category awards not dilute the entire notion of a winner in the first place? In that case, why don't each of the nominees get a trophy?

Giving two seems pointless, and also must have been frustrating for the five 'losers', so to speak. Other nominees in this category were the outstanding Olivia Colman, Emily Blunt, Toni Collette, Melissa McCarthy and Yalitza Aparicio, who each gave incredible performances in their own right.

So why give the same award to two women? Arguably, the statement says neither woman stood out enough to get the gong. Sharing ain't always caring, sorry kids.

They were both above average, but didn't deserve the trophy. Yet because we have to celebrate women from these categories, we'll just hand both of them a statuette and everyone will be happy.

Each of the seven women are amazing in their own right, but it doesn't reflect the reality of the entertainment industry to divide up the awards. Women are still competing in Hollywood for a tiny number of well-rounded roles and positions working behind the camera, so what's the point in pretending that 2019 is all about equality?

The point of an awards ceremony is to watch the competition, to see the reactions, the wins, the losses, the fashion, the tears, the joy; if the competition is diluted, arguably there's less entertainment factor. Don't get me wrong, I love gal bonding as much as the next feminist, but women are still allowed to compete against each other for the sake of art.

joey doesnt share food GIF

All in all, both perspectives have valid points; lifting other women rather than pitting them against each other is something to cherish in today's harsh, still-patriarchal society which has a narrow idea of what a woman represents.

On the other hand, why not just give every woman in that category an award then, heck why not give US an award too while you're at it?

Will we just say we both won the debate? A trophy each? Sounds about right..

The 2019 Critics' Choice Awards ceremony was one full of tearful speeches, glamorous outfits and moving moments. What else would happen at a celebrity gathering?

When it came to the Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie category, most fans were vying for A Quiet Place to snatch the award.

Anyone who paid attention to the Golden Globes the other night MUST have noticed the photobombing 'Fiji Water Girl.' Her constant presence was literally chilling.

Kelleth Cuthbert. AKA the 'FWG', works as a fashion model and commercial actress and pretty much just wants the world to stay DAMN HYDRATED.

She essentially stole the show at the 76th annual awards, and stood behind legit every single celebrity so ended up appearing in hundreds of high-profile images. Gas?

The Golden Globe model eventually became the talk of the night, with viewers taking note of her consistent red carpet star presence.

Cuthbert told People that she wasn't actually trying to emerge into the spotlight, but her modelling instincts took over (mmhmm we don't believe it).

She claims that the magical and amusing photos simply came about by “looking at the camera at the right time.” LIES-a Minelli, sweetie.

bollywood india indian lies kwk GIF

The gal has ended up being the brunt of hundreds of unbelievable memes, but explained that she was on her A-game because of the amount of photographers there.

“There’s tons of photographers everywhere. It doesn’t matter where you stand, you’re in the crossfire of every shot,” she commented.

“You’ve gotta have good face, at least, if you’re gonna be hovering in the background frequently," she added.

Her boss, Fiji Water, described her images as "ominous", which is a new one in terms of employer feedback, we have to say.

“We’re so glad everyone is talking about our water! *senses ominous presence* She’s right behind us, isn’t she? #FIJIwatergirl” the company tweeted on Sunday.

They then kickstarted the memes themselves by photoshopping her into various classic film images, pretty much NAILING free marketing.

They inserted her into Star Wars, Rocky and Thelma and Louise successfully, somehow, and it made for wonderful content.

Despite the “ominous” appearance, Cuthbert said the red carpet was actually too fast-paced to be focusing on your face constantly.

“The photographers have to take so many shots, so rapidly. Obviously, your face doesn’t look perfectly pleasant in all of them, so they captured lots of expressions where I’m naturally making weird faces.”

She appeared with Idris Elba, Judy Greer and Richard Madden, her favourite big-name photobomb image was Jim Carrey.

“I loved the Jim Carrey one,” she revealed to People. “I love his work. I grew up watching his movies and thought it was a funny thing to find myself in the background of.”

The model was totally unaware of all the social media furore surrounding her appearance on the red carpet, where she wore a long blue gown.

"I had absolutely no idea what was happening because I obviously didn’t have my phone on me,” she spoke about the craziness online while she was oblivious.

“I felt very cut off from everything. I didn’t find out until the last stragglers of the red carpet were heading into the awards ceremony, and all these people walking by started shoving their phones in my face and showing me that I was trending on Twitter, but I didn’t understand the magnitude of it untill later,” she added.

More than 50,000 tweets were sent out about Fiji Water Girl on Twitter in a few hours alone.

Cuthbert claims Fiji Water "got a good laugh out of it,” and that she was flooded with selfie requests from after-party guests, so she definitely made an impact.

She claims the Golden Globes was a once in a lifetime experience, despite having been in the industry for 12 years.

“Nothing quite so interesting has ever happened,” she said. “Nothing has garnered so much attention as this before.”

It appears from the relaxed tone of their exchange that they could be unaware that the Wall protecting them, is nothing more than a puddle now.

As the White Walkers approach with their ice dragon, we imagine all the politeness will go out the window and panic mode will set in.

Glastonbury headliners are always a MAJOR deal, it's Coachella's British, more down-to-earth cousin, and the festival has attracted some of the music industry's biggest names since it began.

2018 saw the Kings of Leon, Jay-Z and The Verve headline the world class event, and now Mel B has let slip some possibly high-profile secrets regarding The Spice Girls and the infamous festival.

After selling out all nine of their stadium shows for their 2019 reunion tour, Scary Spice has now divulged that their sights are set on a huge career marker for the four-piece act, which is missing Posh Spice (sob).

Mel B let slip that "talks" are being carried out with bosses Michael and Emily Eavis, but she admits it would be a bit gas to bring their cheesy pop vibes to the edgy music festival stage.

"Glastonbury? It’s been talked about," she told The Sun on Thursday. "But we’re so pop and it’s so cool — that’ll be funny to me."
