Ed Sheeran has announced his semi-retirement at the tender age of 28 in order to spend time with his wife and childhood sweetheart; Cherry Seaborn.

The Beautiful People singer has made a fortune from his music and tour dates, and has appeared at number 17 of the UK's richest musicians in 2019.

The singer told fans at the last gig of his Divide tour that he'll be stepping away from the spotlight to build a life with his new wife.

While on stage at Chantry Park in Ipswitch on Monday, an emotional Sheeran said to the crowd that he had an announcement.

"As you may or not know, I've been on the Divide tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing.

"There is something very bittersweet about it. I love that you guys are here and we are ending it in Ipswich. This is my last gig for probably 18 months," he continued.

"We've played all around the world. Glastonbury, Wembley Stadium. All these amazing venues, America, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, South America – it's been a wild one."

He went on: "I was told before I came on that now at the end of this tour I've played to nine million people around the world. It is the biggest tour ever."

"It's been an emotional day for a lot of people backstage. It kind of feels like, in a weird way, that you're breaking up with a girlfriend that you've been with for years," he joked.

"It sounds odd but it has been a long tour." Monday's concert may as well be his final loop pedal tour gig, as he'll have a band behind him next time.

Fighting back tears, Ed changed out of his Ipswich Town football shirt and put on another one symbolising his home; Framlingham Town.

"This is a Framlingham Town football shirt. I am from Framlingham. Suffolk is my home. I am so happy to be ending this mammoth tour here," he added.

"I want to say thank you to everyone on this tour. Thank you to everyone who has given me a chance. This is my last song. I wrote this when I was 15 years old. See you in a few years' time. Thank you."

Ed low-key married his childhood sweetheart Cherry last December, and recently revealed that they're planning to start a family; "I'm starting a life with Cherry. I can't spend the next 20 years on the road."

"Kids would be the different thing. I wouldn't mind sacrificing for them. If someone told me you can't tour again for the next ten years if you have kids that is fine, because that is what I have signed up for.

"I've already achieved more than I thought I would, so now I'm just trying to have fun."

News hit the public yesterday that UK rapper Stormzy and TV presenter Maya Jama had split up after four years together, but now another controversy is spreading.

Stormzy, who's real name is Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, has denied rumours that the couple broke up as a result of his infidelity with singer Jorja Smith.

Stormzy's representative, who also manages Smith, told Metro.co.uk: "Yes, I can confirm the relationship has ended and Maya has separated from Stormzy."

"I can confirm any accusations or reports surrounding Stormzy’s infidelity to Maya are categorically not true." 22-year-old Jorja and Stormzy collaborated on Let Me Down last year.

A source close to Maya told The Sun that the 25-year-old had split from the 26-year-old rapper because she wanted to focus on her career.

“Maya has moved out of their home in South West London. The decision isn’t one she has come to lightly, but ultimately the relationship has come to an end."

“But I didn’t want anything yet, because, you know, you’re trying to do the whole friend situation first, and then I’d do, like, obvious hints that I fancied him and then take it back because I didn’t know if he definitely liked me," she continued.

"It was a childish phase. And then one day we just kissed, and that was that.”

The pair temporarily unfollowed each other on social media last year, fuelling rumours of a split.

Well, speculation has been rife for months that Ed Sheeran had already tied the knot in secret to Cherry Seaborn and now the singer has finally confirmed the rumours.

The British artist dropped his No. 6 Collaborations Project album today, and confirmed in a video interview with Charlamagne The God that he wed his long-time lady Cherry last year.

Charlamagne Tha God boldly asks about the lyrics on the same Remember the Name featuring 50 Cent and Eminem, specifically;

“Watch how the lyrics in the songs might get twisted. My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick.” My WIFE. He's only gone and done it.

The 28-year-old revealed that the pair hadn't actually tied the knot when he wrote those lyrics;

“It was actually before me and Cherry got married and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out. I thought; "Someone’s gonna hear that and be like, ‘Oh, they’re married!’" I didn’t know how that would be construed, but obviously it’s already come out.”

The Sun reported in February that Cherry and Ed had wed in December at their Suffolk home in front of 40 family members and friends.

“Ed got married a few days before Christmas. It was very quiet — just Ed’s oldest school pals, limited family and the priest,” the publication reported.

“He wanted no fuss and he wanted it to be something entirely for them — just a tiny winter wedding…Neither of them were that fussed about making a big deal about it.”

The Sun also claimed that the pair wanted a bigger ceremony this summer for their wider circle. The pair met at school when Ed was 11, but they only got romantic when they reconnected in 2015.

You can thank Taylor Swift for their marriage, as they shared their first date at her Fourth of July bash in the summer of 2015.

Sheeran revealed that he'd proposed over the 2017 season in January of last year. The hockey player was the inspiration behind the ballad Perfect.

“Got myself a fiancé just before new year,” the Grammy winner wrote on Instagram. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.” BLESS THEM.

The news that A$AP Rocky had been arrested in Sweden had Longitude fans worried for days, and now the news has been confirmed that the US rapper will not headline the festival tonight.

He was set to headline the main stage at the summer festival in Marlay Park but was detained by Swedish authorities in relation to an alleged assault last weekend.

The star was arrested after a gig at the Smash festival in Stockholm on Tuesday, and police are stating that four people were initially arrested.

Three of these people were suspected of serious abuse and one of assault, but the person suspected of assault was released two days ago and is no longer a suspect.

It is rumoured that the altercation began as a result of the men seemingly following A$AP Rocky in the street and of inappropriately touching women.

His replacement on the main stage at Longitude has been announced as rapper Ski Mask The Slump God.

Chance the Rapper was also originally a headliner, but cancelled recently to much fan disappointment.

Thousands will attend the festival over the next three days, with the gates opening from 1.30pm.

It's that time of the year again, when Irish people suddenly realise their obsession with rap music and flock down to Marlay Park for a sunny weekend of cans and tunes.

Like every major festival, Longitude has some valuable information regarding safety, rules, entry and transport that you all have to read before making the trek down.

First of all, the gates open at 1:30pm each day, and if you arrive to the event intoxicated then you unfortunately won't be permitted entry this weekend.

This year is set to be bigger than ever, with none other than Chance the Rapper, Cardi B and A$AP Rocky headlining the sold-out festival.

Glastonbury headliners are always a MAJOR deal, it's Coachella's British, more down-to-earth cousin, and the festival has attracted some of the music industry's biggest names since it began.

2018 saw the Kings of Leon, Jay-Z and The Verve headline the world class event, and now Mel B has let slip some possibly high-profile secrets regarding The Spice Girls and the infamous festival.

After selling out all nine of their stadium shows for their 2019 reunion tour, Scary Spice has now divulged that their sights are set on a huge career marker for the four-piece act, which is missing Posh Spice (sob).

Mel B let slip that "talks" are being carried out with bosses Michael and Emily Eavis, but she admits it would be a bit gas to bring their cheesy pop vibes to the edgy music festival stage.

"Glastonbury? It’s been talked about," she told The Sun on Thursday. "But we’re so pop and it’s so cool — that’ll be funny to me."

"I think Mel C would really appreciate us doing that — she’s the cool one. She’s the cool indie chick."

Victoria Beckham is bowing out of their reunion, which disappointed fans who wanted the clique back to their best.

So far, only Stormzy has been announced as Glastonbury's next headliner, who will perform on the Pyramid Stage in June 2019.

Emma Bunton has said that it would be 'nice' (don't gush, Emma, it's only Glasto…) and Mel C has expressed an interest in the headliner slot since May.

During their six-year pop reign, The Spice Girls never performed on a single music festival stage. The band became a hit back in 1994 but split when Geri Horner left the group in 2000.

Glastonbury returns to Worthy Farm in Somerset on June 26 2019 after taking a break.

In what can only be described as a real-life nightmare, British artist Stormzy found himself trapped inside a toilet cubicle after he accidentally wandered into the wrong bathroom at last night's MTV EMAs.

Having only realised his mistake when a group of women began chatting on the other side of the door, the 24-year-old was then faced with the ultimate dilemma.

Exit the cubicle and risk looking “mad creepy,” or remain inside until the coast was clear, while potentially missing his EMA performance.

In a desperate search for answers, Stormzy shared his tricky (yet absolutely hilarious) situation with his Snapchat followers.

“Came to buss a sh*t but accidentally went in the girls toilets so I can hear bare girls outside but if I pop out now imma look mad creepy,” he wrote.

Of course, fans were full of suggestions on how to best navigate the awkward situation, with MTV UK even tweeting the star to ask if he needed them to “send help?”

Stormzy was eventually able to pull off his expert escape with the help of a friend who reportedly warned him to hang back for a minute while Ann Marie finished brushing her teeth.

Luckily, the grime star made it to the stage on time to preform in front of the star studded audience at London's SSE Arena where he also scooped the award for the Best UK and Ireland Act.

We're glad to see it all worked out!

If you thought the highlight of Stormzy's night at the GQ Men of the Year Awards was picking up the Copper Dog Solo Artist of the Year, you'd be wrong.

The 24-year-old, who took to the stage to accept the accolade, gave perhaps one of the most humble speeches we've heard in a long time.

Sounding genuinely touched by the events of the night, he began: "It’s such a blessing to be here. In a room full of so many legends."

And then he dropped the RK bomb.

"I got a selfie with Ronan Keating, are you mad?” he added before confirming the same on Twitter.

"At these events I just run up to everyone and beg it man just met ronan keaton are you mad," he wrote to which Ronan replied: "Nice to meet ya, Man."

Unsurprisingly, Twitter users wasted no time throwing the suggestion of a collaboration into the mix, with one writing: "Whopper collab of Rollercoaster ft Stormzy."

Oh, and if that wasn't enough of an ego boost for good ol' Ro, former Oasis frontman, Liam Gallagher, seemed equally as pleased to have made his acquaintance.

Replying to the grime artist, Liam wrote: "@Stormzy1, you say you got a selfie with @ronanofficial? I got a f****** handshake man!"

And that, ladies, is how the GQ Men of the Year Awards went down…

Stormzy had his fans very excited this morning after sharing a number on Twitter, with absolutely no explanation behind it.

His fans all presumed it was his personal phone number and rushed to call it.

The Grime performer then followed up that tweet by asking his followers to send him their location, with many thinking he may be doing some surprise meet and greets.

After many fans rushed to call the number, they found out that no, is wasn't the stars personal mobile, but it was something just as sweet.

The artist recorded a message thanking his fans for their support with his new album, Gang Signs & Prayer.

The recording said: "Yo, you're through to Stormzy. I just want to say massive love. Thank you for supporting the album, Gang Signs & Prayer, out now. I hope you’re enjoying it.

"I just want to say thank you for all your support, it’s been incredible.”
