All eyes have been on Meghan Markle as she continues her royal tour with Prince Harry, and this week, Irish design was catapulted onto an international stage as she appeared in a full-length, embellished-shouldered gown by Irish designer Don O'Neill.

How beautiful does she look? A testament to how well Irish design can stand tall amongst the rest.

O'Neill, who is based in New York, has a label called Theia, which was also chosen by Oprah Winfrey to wear to the Academy Awards in 2011.

He has now opened up about designing the gown for the Duchess of Sussex, and said that some explicit alteration instructions he received from Meghan's team prior to her wearing it, said it meant they quietly got an indication before the world at large, that she was expecting her first baby.

She wore the gown in Tonga for a private audience with King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u – and the designer said he jumped at the chance to create a look for the Duchess of Sussex.

“When her stylist reached out to inquire if I could make a dress for her Australian press tour, I stopped everything we were doing (my bridal show was just a week away) and immediately went to work on Her Royal Highness’ gown,” O’Neill said in a release.

The Theia team completed the look in just two days and although they got word that Meghan “loved” the piece, there was something important that needed amending.

“We needed to remake it with extra seam allowance,” O’Neill explains. “We knew immediately why this extra allowance was required, but mum’s the word."

And, true to his word, O'Neill said not a peep, and her pregnancy was revealed via a statement from Buckingham Palace, as in keeping with the Royal protocol.

Asides from his absolutely incredible creations, we imagine that the designers' tactfulness and his ensuring the Duchess' privacy was also rightfully kept will earn him many more high-profile fans – and hopefully, ensure he gets a chance to create more gowns for Meghan in the process.

We just like totally got the best news of the year..

One of our favourite movies is being remade – Clueless.

Can you believe it has been 23 years since the original film came out? We have never felt older.

The Beverly Hills high school classic is a beloved tale of a superficial but good-hearted teen on her quest for true love.

The remake is still in its earliest stages, Deadline reports, so the casting details have yet to be announced.

So, it is unsure if the new movie will pick up where the last left off, with the original cast years later, or if it will feature an entire new set of actors to play our favourite characters.

Either way, we are so excited that one of the most quotable movies of all time is coming back to the big screen.

We can’t wait for more of Cher’s classic one-liners!

How much would you turn down to maintain the integrity of your family business?

For global business woman Phuong Tran and her home-grown Vietnamese company THP Beverage Group, it was $2.5 billion dollars. Yup, just think of how much guilt-free online shopping you could do…

An unimaginable sum, but for Tran and her father, allowing Coca-Cola to acquire controlling interest in their valued family business, no sum was worth it.

“To western countries, the Asian market is a big piece of pie with robust growth in new economies. The world needs to know how an Asian business runs and how its business culture is formed. That’s the story that I wanted to tell in the book.”

The co-stars of one of our favourite movies have reunited for the first time in decades.

My Best Friend’s Wedding stars Julia Robert and Dermot Mulroney are working together again on screen.

We cannot believe it has been over 20 years since the romantic comedy’s debut in 1997.

The actress shared a selfie of her and her former co-star on her Instagram with the caption: “Yep” followed by an emoji of two people holding hands.

In the film, the actors played Julianne Potter and Michael O’Neal, two long-time friends that had made a wedding pact.

If both were still single by the age of 28, they would marry each other. However, when Julianne learns that Michael is getting married days before her birthday, things become complicated.

The heartwarming and hilarious tale is full of romance and drama, instantly becoming a classic 1990’s rom-com.

Now, the lovebirds are reunited once more, but not for a magical love story. In their upcoming TV series Homecoming, they work as part of a military rehabilitation program.

The thrilling drama follows Heidi (played by Julia) during her work at Homecoming, a facility designed to help soldiers transition back into civilian life.

The pair seem happier than ever to be reunited on screen, and we cannot wait for their new show’s debut.

It will be out exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on November 2nd.

We’ve missed Dani, Jack and co. and there’s no doubt the show’s millions of followers do too so news of a Christmas special is bound to brighten this gloomy Friday.

Rumour has it, the 2018 contestants are going to reunite for a special Christmas episode, but we can’t help but worry about ALL the awkward moments they’ll have to sit through.

Five of this year’s couples have called it quits, including Laura and Paul and Charlie and Ellie.

It’s an incredibly frustrating aspect of reality that women and girls face constant public sexual harassment daily.

In Tuesday’s report written by MPs on the women and qualities committee in Britain, the issue has now been labelled “urgent” following a nine-month enquiry on the matter.

The report is insisting that the UK government take immediate and effective action to attempt to create a safer public environment for women.

From exercising in public parks and frequenting nightclubs or bars to simply utilising our city’s public transport, women can almost almost claim to have felt the burden of danger in communal spaces of our communities.

Experiences have more recently been shared of extensive experiences of sexual assault and harassment, and there are more accounts than ever of crimes being committed against women in public.

France has recently introduced a law against street harassment which results in on-the-spot fines for predatory comments and harassment such as sexualised remarks and wolf-whistling, after a woman was viciously attacked by a man for confronting him about his offensive behaviour towards her.

The committee has “heard evidence of widespread problems” of both men and boys “sexually harassing women and even girls on buses and trains, in bars and clubs, in online spaces and at university, in parks and on the street.”

The subject of school uniforms was also mentioned in the report, written by cross-party MPs, testifying that girls in their school attires are pressurised to avoid risky situations which "keeps women and girls unequal".

Street harassment has been described in the document as “relentless and becomes ‘normalised’ as girls grow up, contributing to a wider negative cultural effect on society.”

The committee also sets out seven steps which they aim to take in the report, among them is the proposal to force train and bus operators and publican landlords to take tougher measures towards fighting sexual harassment on their premises.

It also requests a public information campaign which is specifically designed to change attitudes, akin to road safety campaigns and first aid programmes.

The British Home Office also states that they view the epidemic problem as a “key priority,” and are devising an updated “Violence against Women and Girls” strategy and scheme.

Writing on public pavements in chalk has become a new pacifistic method for women to fight back, to feel safe in their own cities.

Regardless of government promises to eliminate such prevalent behaviour entirely by 2030, the Women and Equalities Committee concludes negatively that there is currently "no evidence of any programme to achieve this".

Twitter users especially are expressing anger at how ‘obvious’ the headline is, and that there is not a single mention of men in the article, who are by-in-large the major perpetrators of sexual harassment.

It remains to be seen whether improvements will take place which will finally allow women and girls to feel safe, but the reaction online to the BBC’s headline has been scathing.

Let's hope governments worldwide bring in sharp ways to tackle this highly concerning problem which is so engrained in our culture that many of us have become completely desensitised to it. Safety is a right, not a privilege.

Have a look at BBC’s 100 Women I know video on Street Harassment here:

The Bristol Zero Tolerance group has also written an informative guide on how to respond to street harassment, which you can read here.

Stay safe, gals.

The mineral cosmetics industry has been steadily growing for over 20 years, but as it grows in popularity, so too does the amount of misconceptions about mineral make-up.

We’ve put together a step-by-step guide illuminating how to dispel some of these myths in order to get the best products that suit each person perfectly.

It’s time to set the record straight, and we’ve chosen Irish owned cosmetic company Fuschia to assist us on our mineral masterpiece.

Fuschia’s award-winning mineral cosmetics are renowned for their long-lasting durability, and their natural ingredients as well as cruelty-free produce.

The first thing to note is that everyone’s skin is different, and each person has their own unique needs.

Some of us have to moisturise constantly to try and battle their dry skin frustrations, others try everything possible to reduce their oily shine.

Prioritise showing off your natural look, a healthy glow is what will allow you to really stand out from the crowd. This guide to navigating the myths and maxims of mineral cosmetics will be your new foundation Bible.

God bless Fuschia.

Myth 1: You don’t need to prepare your skin for applying make-up

WRONG! Prep and prime to the nines, gals. Always.

Apply primer to cleansed and fully moisturised skin for the best foundation results. You want the smoothest possible effect, trying priming the skin with Fuschia D20 Hydrating Mist (€25), a non-silicone based mattifying primer.

Foundation only ever looks natural if it’s applied correctly.

Myth 2: The more make-up applied, the better the outcome

Gurl, less is ALWAYS more. Especially when it comes to foundation.

Tap a small amount of Loose Mineral Foundation (5g-€28.50) into the lid, but don’t be overly generous… you can always add more. Your foundation lid can be your new best friend.

You’ll also be saving yourself some cash by sparingly using the product, and your face won’t be weighed down by too many layers of make-up.

how off your beautiful face, foundation is only meant to give you a small layer of coverage.

Myth 3: Mineral make-up is best for sensitive skin

Not true, ladies. Everyone’s complexion concerns are singular and distinct only to themselves.

Mineral make-up is often marketed as an ‘all-natural’ product because it’s free from additives, chemicals, oil, parabens, the works.

However, there’s an unmistakeably inorganic chemical compound called bismuth oxychloride in the majority of mineral products.

This chemical has the purpose of creating a glowing quality on the skin, with an ingredient named crystalline which can actually lodge itself in pores and cause itchiness and irritation.

Anyone who has acne or various skin dilemmas should actually stick to a nurturing formula such as a BB cream to soothe the skin.

Myth 4: Brushes are ineffective in spreading powder

False… you’ve just got to learn the right method: tapping.

We recommend using the Fuschia Jumbo Buffer Brush (€19.50) for the best application.

Simply press the tips of the bristles lightly into the Loose Mineral Powder to lift a small amount of product, then turn the brush so the bristles are up right and tap the handle on a hard surface or on the palm of your hand to allow the powder to fall further into the bristles.

You can now spread the powder evenly throughout your face with the right amount of mineral powder on your buffer brush. Powder perfect in no time at all.

Myth 5: There is no right way to buff powder.

We totally disagree, and here’s why; we’ve got the moves.

Use small circular motions to begin buffing the powder into the skin. Mineral is all about buildable coverage, so build as you see fit to suit your individual look and style.

One layer gives soft natural coverage; two layers gives medium coverage, three gives full coverage. Work from the outside of the face and gradually buffing towards the t-zone, applying in coats until you achieve the perfect chic coverage for you.

Finish off with the gift that is Fuschia Correct and Perfect Mineral Concealer (€16.95) using the 112 Airbrush Conceal Brush (€7.50).

Myth 6: Mineral make-up doesn’t have staying power

Untrue: if you lightly brush on some Mineral Rice Powder (5g- €24) to the t-zone to set the base and lock in any oils for the duration of the day, we promise.

Make sure to keep your sifter closed when it’s not in use, always open your pot upside down to reduce spillages.

Myth 7: Everybody who suffers from acne should only use mineral cosmetics

Wrong, wrong, wrong. So many people who bear the tribulations of acne tend to avoid all products containing oil to prevent adding fuel to the fire, so to speak.

Most mineral make-up creates a dry, powdery finish which can lead to your skin producing more oil in return.

The oils then mix with your powdered mineral make-up, causing caking and heaviness, which actually draws more attention to any blemishes which you were trying to cover in the first place.

Oils and silicone’s aren’t always harmful for acne-prone skin, it can actually be very helpful.

Myth 8: Natural products are good for you

This isn’t always fact-based, many preservatives can actually be beneficial for you. There are so many ‘natural’ things out there that actually aren’t even nourishing for your skin at all.

It’s a mistake to assume any natural additives are immediately wholesome to you. Products labelled “hypoallergenic”, though they are free of the most common allergens, by no means are they allergen free.

Always get tested for allergies by your doctor if you are concerned about reactions to specific ingredients.

Our fave skin ingredients are “non-comedogenic,” which means that they don’t block pores or cause breakouts.

Myth 9: Mineral make-up has the dual purpose of sunscreen

This myth actually applies to any type of foundation. Make-up is usually based in pigments that refract light, which leads to the general belief that foundations provide an SPF.

While this may be true for some, you’d need to apply a massively thick later in order to get enough protection, which just isn’t practical.

The whole point of mineral make-up is to gain a sheer, natural finish to your look, but your best form of sun defence with make-up is to use moisturiser paralleled with a BB cream, both containing SPF.

Titanium dioxide, or zinc oxide are the key SPF ingredients, which also have anti-inflammatory properties.

Myth 10: Mineral make-up is ideal for the more ‘natural’ lewk

Hell nah. Mineral make-up is based on an opaque white compound, so it can flash out on camera and cause skin to appear extremely pale in photos, the bane of a selfie obsessed gal’s life.

Try mist the face with a finishing spray after blending the powder in properly on both your face and neck. Powder has a habit of sitting on top of the skin, hindering it from hiding the problem areas with uneven textures.

Other skincare products by Fuschia are needed to blur and correct skin texture imperfections and fill in minor lines and smooth skin.

Those are our 10 myth-busters for mineral make-up, powder in peace gals.

Kylie Jenner took baby Stormi on her first trip to the pumpkin patch, and she could not have loved it more.

Now, at nearly eight-months-old, Stormi gets to learn all about Halloween in her first-time celebrations.

Kylie and her boyfriend Travis Scott took their baby girl to a GIANT field, filled with pumpkins for the picking.

There are so many pumpkins that it is hard to find little Stormi amidst the sea of orange.

They truly are doing their best to blend in with the crowd and keep a low profile on Stormi’s big day out.

He placed his daughter on his shoulders as they walked through the grounds as well, so she could get the best view of potential pumpkins to make her Jack-O-Lantern.

The baby girl loved looking at the petting zoo as well, helping her mum feed some baby goats.

How sweet! We’re glad the family gets to steal away from the spotlight and share some precious family firsts together.

Mrs Doutbfire is one of those films you loved as a kid and are still just as attached to as an adult because it evokes such warm fuzzy feelings of nostalgia.

It's been 25 years since the movie hits our screens and with every passing year, it becomes even more of a classic.

Set in San Fran, voice actor Daniel Hilliard is going through a separation from his wife Miranda, played by Sally Field.

As Miranda gets custody of his three kids – Lydia, Chris and Natalie –  he must go undercover as their nanny to spend time with them.

Cue the teary eyes.

It's a feel-good flick, if a bit of a tearjerker, and the cast have gotten together to celebrate the quarter-of-a-century anniversary of its release.

And it makes us feel old as f*ck.

The beloved main character, played brilliantly by Robin Williams, has sadly passed away and is missed dearly by the rest of the cast.

Lisa Jakub, who played eldest kid Lydia, took to social media to post a snap of herself alongside the actors who played her two siblings, Matt and Mara Wilson and their mother's love interest Stu, played by Pierce Brosnan.

She captioned the picture, ''so this happened. #mrsdoubtfire #reunion #25yearslater.''

Fans were delighted at this reunion and commented in their droves to say so.

One wrote, ''this is one of my favourite films Robin Williams will always be a legend.''

Another said, ''such a wonderful moment. Hope your reunion was just as magical!!! #mrsdoubtfire.''

Pierce has spoken before of how his first meeting with Robin went on the set of the film.

He said, ''I went into the makeup trailer and Robin was sitting there in a pair of boots and his hairy legs, and a Hawaiian shirt, and his hairy arms, and there he sat, but with Mrs. Doubtfire's head on. I never really worked with Robin Williams, to tell you the truth. I worked with Mrs. Doubtfire.''

He continued, ''he was a magnificent human being, and a beautiful person."

We've no doubt he was watching over the cast, proud of the iconic movie they made together.
