Love Island

ITV 2 is bringing us yet another dating show, which is sure to be our new addiction. Fans of Love Island are going to fall in love with this winter themed, old-school dating experience, called The Cabins

The cast of hopeful singletons will delete their trusty (or maybe not so trusty) dating apps, in order to make real life connections, face-to-face.

Couples will be forced to move in together as soon as they meet, staying in romantic log cabins, located amongst beautiful British surroundings, where they’ll stay for 24 hours. Once left alone, they’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other, and have some deep and meaningful conversations.

Whether they’re enjoying a cosy dip in the cabin’s bubbling hot tub, or snuggled up in front of a blazing fire, these singles are going to reveal more about themselves on a first date then they ever thought they would. After their 24 hours together, the two will have to decide if they want to see each other again or call it quits. Did sparks fly or was it just a little uncomfortable? We can’t wait to find out more.

ITV's Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, Paul Mortimer said, “This is a fantastic new format which challenges young people to delete the apps and attempt to date face-to-face, with no distractions. We're thrilled to be bringing this show to ITV2 viewers who will have front row seats, eavesdropping on our couples as they attempt to find true love.”

Are you unlucky in love? Then don’t worry, applications for The Cabins are still open — all you have to do is email casting@12yard.com

The summer may be over but Love Island season has just begun! Season two of the US version of this iconic reality show has just started airing on CBS, and will be coming here to ITV2 imminently.

This year things are going to be done a little differently though, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The show will be filmed from a stunning villa, atop a Las Vegas hotel, where the contestants will be self-isolating together in their own big bubble.

Paul Mortimer, ITV’s Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions exclaimed, "We’re thrilled that ITV2 can bring the latest US version of Love Island to viewers this year.

"Las Vegas may seem like an odd destination for the show but the canny producers have beaten Covid with a show that adheres to all production protocols and that could well be sensational.

"Certainly the ‘villa’ is impressive and the cast diverse and amazing."

The first episode is airing tonight on CBS; five girls and six boys will enter the villa with the hope of finding love and bagging themselves the $100,000 prize.

As a precaution though, extra health and safety measures have been put in place. There will be regular coronavirus tests as well as daily screenings for symptoms throughout the series. All staff and crew are required to wear PPE and COVID-19 compliance officers will be on-hand to monitor and ensure that all health and safety protocols are being enforced.

However, these new restrictions won’t stop this year’s season from being even better than the last. "We've really built on last year, our first season," executive producers Jessica Castro and Ben Thursby-Palmer told TV Guide.

"We’re taking all the good bits fans loved — the fun games and challenges, dramatic re-couplings and epic dumpings — and adding more. More Islanders. More challenges. More games. More dates."

One element which remains consistent with the show though, is that Love Island USA will once again be hosted by Arielle Vandenberg and narrated by Matthew Hoffman.

The new season will air on ITV2 on September 7.

Molly-Mae Hague revealed in a juicy Instagram Q&A yesterday that it won’t be long before she decides to have a baby with boyfriend, Tommy Fury.

The 21-year-old decided to answer some of her followers’ questions yesterday evening while Tommy was at the gym. It wasn’t long before the question arose again, “How much longer will it be before you and Tommy have a baby?”

Molly-Mae replied, “Probably not ages! Like, I’ve always wanted to have a baby slightly younger anyway. So I’m not going to be super, super old, and I’m not going to be super super young.”

Molly-Mae went on to answer some more fan questions, including how she deals with body-shaming. Molly-Mae became subject to this while posting bikini snaps on a previous holiday this year. She responded, “Again, you just become used to it, which is disgusting really.”

“But I’m literally a size eight, so if I’m fat and lardy then you just can not pay any notice to it… And I’m quite good at that.”

The former Love Islander gave out her own relationship advice when asked if she ever feels insecure with Tommy, and questions if she’s good enough. Molly-Mae was confident in her response when she said, “No, I can safely say I’ve never felt this. If you are with someone who is making you feel like that, then they are not someone that you want to be with.”

Marcel and his pregnant girlfriend (now fiancé), Rebecca Vieirra, revealed the gender of their baby boy at a party with close friends and family. In a livestream video with OK! Immediately after the colour of the confetti was revealed, illuding to the sex of their baby, the two embraced, celebrating. This is when Marcel reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a small yellow ring box, dropping to one knee.

As soon as their friends and family who are standing by, watching, catch on to what’s really happening, there’s instantly a screaming chorus of excited “Awws”. Rebecca, who is completely taken by surprise, holds her hands up to her face in shock, before quickly nodding her head and saying “yes”, allowing Marcel to slip the gorgeous ring on her finger.

Since her baby news reveal, Camilla has been keeping busy, promoting her debut book, Not The Type, which is due to be available from August 20. The book is said to be a memoir of an extraordinary life, and a script for living one's life to the full.

Although often an engaging reflection on life, landmines and Love Island, this is also a book about learning to confront one's own anxieties in a world dominated by celebrity culture and social media – and on being a woman in what is still too often a man's world.

Not The Type sounds like an enlightening and empowering must-read, and we can't wait to get our hands on it!

Maura Higgins has penned a moving note in honour of Mental Health Awareness Week. The Love Island star opened up about her own personal struggles in a bid to raise awareness and to encourage her followers to seek help if they too are suffering.

Alongside a series of unfiltered photos, the reality star shared: "So many of us hide behind filters & I am not going to come on here and lie…I am one of them BUT don’t do it to impress others…do it for yourself, just like everything else in life. DO YOU!!!

"Stop comparing yourself to others. We are all human, we all have our bad days, bad photos, bad angles etc. I want to let every person reading this know that NOBODY IS PERFECT. Being in the public eye we have the privilege of having stylists, makeup artists, PT’s etc. But behind all that glam and social media we are just normal people!

The model encouraged her followers to take care of their mental wellbeing, especially during the current pandemic. She added, "Focus on you, your mental health & your well being physically and mentally. And if there’s times you are struggling, don’t suffer in silence, please talk to someone."

There's no doubt that many people will seek comfort from Maura's honest and moving words.

The family and friends of Caroline Flack have expressed their concerns for the presenter after she stepped down as host of Love Island.

Caroline has been keeping a low profile after she was arrested and charged with assault last week. It is believed the former Love Island presenter threw a phone at her boyfriend Lewis Barton in the early hours of the morning on December 13.

Caroline has yet to return to her Islington home as she doesn’t feel safe there. The 40-year-old is currently residing in a hotel.

Her family and friends have refused to leave her side as she is believed to be extremely distressed following her arrest.

A source told The Sun: “She’s not a violent person at all and to have this charge hanging over her is so damaging. It’s just so upsetting. It was a domestic between the two of them and has been completely overblown.”
