"Both mummy and little man doing well & Daddy over the moon."

And it is understood the little one arrived earlier than expected; he was due to be born in early November.

The couple said previously they were ecstatic to meet their new arrival after they had enjoyed married life together.

"Myself and Rob are over the moon. We said we wanted a year to enjoy just being married. That went by so quickly."

"It couldn’t have happened at a better time. We’ve had our fun, we’ve had our nights out, we’ve enjoyed our time together and got ourselves a little dog. We’re just delighted really, really happy,” she said of the pregnancy.

Anna Geary confirmed her engagement to Kevin Sexton earlier this week with the most romantic Instagram snap.

The GAA star shared a photo of her engagement ring placed in a red rose. She captioned the snap of the beautiful bouquet, “The easiest yes…”Yes a thousand times” xxx”

The sportswoman may be on cloud nine, but her initial reaction to the engagement wasn’t your typical response. There was no jumping up and down and tears when Kevin got down on one knee.

She admitted she thought Kevin had somehow managed to injure himself during their stroll. She told Ryan Tubridy: “We went for a walk, it was very simple. I was in my runners and my leggings and my trenchcoat.”

“And then all of a sudden, I was like 'Oh my god he's had three knee operations, his knee's after going! What's after happening?' and I found that he's down on one knee,” the Dancing With The Stars contestant revealed.

The Cork native said the moment was so surreal she can barely remember it: “And sure I don't remember anything else, it was a blur because he was saying what he was saying and I was going 'Oh my god oh my god oh my god'."

The All-Ireland champion was so stunned by the gesture she even asked Kevin, “'What are you doing?!'”

Huge congratulations are in order as Grace Mongey aka blogger Faces By Grace has announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Chris Gernon.

Her fiancé popped the question at her dad’s favourite spot along the pier.

Grace’s sister captured the monumental moment on camera, and the photos are just too cute.

The blogger looks completely shell-shocked in the moving snaps, “He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Actually can’t believe it, still shaking!”

She gushed: “I’m the happiest girl right now and I love you so so much Chris. Thanks for making my dreams come through and for being so thoughtful.”

Grace’s dad passed away from cancer nine years ago so the spot Chris chose is extremely meaningful.

Their daughter Sienna was even there to witness the magical moment.

“I am yours forever and I can’t wait to be your wife! I still can’t quite believe it, you’ve made me happier than I’ve ever been! In such a happy buzz and can’t stop looking at my hand! Is this real?” she shared.

Grace showed off her dazzling engagement on Instagram and it is absolutely gorgeous. “There she is in all her glory! The most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen and exactly what I would have picked!”

“I’m so overwhelmed and love it so much!” she added.

We are delighted for Grace. What an incredible time for her!

Not too long ago it appeared that ladies (and possibly some men) the world over were completely infatuated with none other than ourselves.

Actually, to be totally truthful, it’s the Irish men they fancy. A dating and travel website, MissTravel.com has even recorded Irish lads to be the best looking in the world.

Well, tell us something we don’t know. If you haven’t exactly been feeling the love for the home grown talent lately, allow us to refresh your memories.

We gathered up a list of Ireland’s most eligible bachelors.

Micheal Fassbender

The Kerry-native is a BIG hit in Hollywood. We’re not all that surprised, what a lovely smile you have got there Michael.

Niall Horan

Our most favourite member of 1D. Seeing one of them is already set for fatherhood, it’s only a matter of time before the rest follow suit so we better get to tweeting this Mullingar guy soon.

Domhnall Gleeson

The 32-year old is not just a one trick pony; he writes, acts and directs. Bonus points for being besties with Brad and Angelina.

Hozier

That album; that guitar; THAT voice. Need we say anymore? Nope, didn’t think so.

Cian Healy

Not just a rugby player either. He also loves dogs and he's a DJ.

Rory McIlroy

The Co. Down local spent 93 weeks as the world's number one ranked professional golfer. That's an awful lot trips to Dubai, and Florida, FYI.

Dave Kearney

Brother Rob might get more attention, but we reckon Leinster star Dave is every bit as desirable. He seems to hold babies well too. #swoon

Generally when us Irish go abroad, as we are likely to do in efforts to spend some time in actual sunshine, we’re known for a few things. ‘Having the craic’ being a big one, there’s also are excellent hospitality and general talent for being nice people.

However, it has recently come to light that we might also be developing a new national trait: narcissism.

Lovely. ‘Why is that?’ you might be asking yourself in wonder at this new revelation. Apparently, this is because of our love of a good selfie.

Last night. And why today there isn't a single carbohydrate or inch of melted cheese safe

A photo posted by Amy Huberman (@amy_huberman) on

Research from Huawei Snapys has found that Irish people will take 40 times more selifes than Americans and 8 times more than English natives. Consider the size of our population for a moment, and now consider that compared to the U.S, quite the feat we have accomplished.

Well, we’re only a little bit surprised when we consider the antics across the country over the last several weeks.

Even the guards themselves were getting in on the selfie action at concerts around the country.

That’s an awful lot of selfies being taken across the country, and we did wonder, who was taking them all?

Everyone in Galway! Galway is our nation’s unofficial selfie capital, obviously. They take 6 times more of the personal photos than those residing in Dublin.

In other, slightly less cringe-worthy news, the Cliffs of Moher came in as the country’s most Instagrammed landmark, with Croke Park following close behind.
