It's time to bid farewell to one of TV's most beloved families: The Dunphys.

ABC is confirming their goodbye to Phil, Claire, Jay, Gloria, Alex, Haley, Luke, Mitchell, Cameron and Manny forever, and we're devastated.

Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment, said in a statement at the 2019 Television Critics Association press tour that season 11 will be Modern Family's last hurrah.

"Co-creators Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan have created one of the most seminal and iconic comedies in television history", Burke announced.

"In its final season, there will be more milestone events that anyone who has been a fan of the series won't want to miss." The show has always been a strong ratings player for the network, but have decreased slowly over the years.

Modern Family contracts were apparently only up until season 10, which lead many to believe that the show would finish after that outing.

Deadline has reported that all cast members would be happy to continue with the show, as were Modern Family's producers and ABC.

However, co-creator Christopher Lloyd recently told E! News that working on season 10 and changing things up by including a death and surprise pregnancy inspired the writers to keep going.

"The way this season was developed, there's a little bit more in the way of kind of real-life events than what you've seen in the past," Lloyd said, following Haley's pregnancy announcement.

"But you know, in life, that happens where nothing at all particularly tumultuous happens, and then four things happen in the span of a couple of months."

A deal for another season of Modern Family was made easier due to the impending Disney acquisition of the series' studio, 20th Century Fox TV. Maybe spin-offs will be in the works?

Ever sent something via Facebook chat and had instant mega regret? Yeah, us too.

Luckily, it's reported that Facebook will soon be rolling out a new update that will allow you to unsend those risky messages.

Facebook Messenger's unsend button was first promised over a year ago – after it was discovered that the platform was deleting messages sent by founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Conversations people had with the tech mogul before 2014 were scrubbed, and in response, Facebook apologised and promised that an unsend button was in development for all users.

'We will now be making a broader delete message feature available,'  Facebook wrote in a statement to Mashable.

'This may take some time. And until this feature is ready, we will no longer be deleting any executives' messages.'

So, going forward, you will have the option to delete a message you have sent.

To do so,  tap on a message in a conversation and select remove.

A pop-up will then ask you if  you want to remove the message for everyone in the chat or just for you.

If you choose just for you, then everyone else can still see the message, but you can't.

However, you only have  10 minutes in which to delete your message, so you best be quick!

The healthcare crisis is escalating as the nurses and midwives remain on strike for another day this week.

The impact on tens of thousands of patients is causing chaos, as members of the public are asked not to use out of hours GP services as hundreds of doctors gather for a protest in Dublin.

News has since emerged that a rally will take place this Saturday, allowing members of the public to support the nurses and Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

Over 35,000 nurses and midwives voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action late last year, with their first 24-hour stoppage taking place on January 30 and second strike occurring yesterday.

The Facebook post reads; "Join the nurses' protest, called by the INMO, this Sat 12.30pm Parnell Square Dublin. Leo Varadkar and the Fine Gael led government are refusing to negotiate with the nurses."

It continues, "They are ignoring the huge public support for their legitimate claims. Most of us know that nurses deserve equality of treatment with other professional grades, better pay will help ease the recruitment crisis and that means better patient care in our hospitals."

"Nurses do not want to strike – they would prefer to care for their patients. We can help by turning our sympathy into a major display of solidarity." it concludes, calling on the public to text their numbers to join the rally at the Garden of Remembrance.

Further strike action is expected to take place on February 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, and 21, which is sure to affect a huge amount of patients.

Patients are being asked by the National Association of GP Co-ops to travel to emergency departments, or to wait to see their own GP if any ailment is experienced.

Other disruptions include the cancellation of outpatient appointments, non-urgent surgery, and respite, rehabilitation, and day centre services. An estimated 50,000 patients in the past week were affected.

Another strike is expected tomorrow, with up to 75,000 people likely to be affected.

As of last night, there appears to be little hope of resolving the pay dispute, with the INMO accusing the Government of “recycling” ideas and calling on them to “come to the table unconditionally”.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar admitted that direct contact should have been made with nursing unions regarding further talks at the Workplace Relations Commission to resolve their dispute, instead of through a press release.

He responded to critique from  Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin, who claimed the statement was an "appalling and a pathetic way" to approach the dispute.

Yesterday, the Fine Gael Government issued a statement saying it was willing to engage in talks on issues other than pay to try to overcome the nurses' strike.

General Secretary of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation Phil Ni Sheaghdha said the Government had not communicated directly with the unions.

Adult mental health services are also coming under huge strain today and tomorrow due to a ban on overtime, including night rosters, as members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) engage in industrial action.

Doctors will join the disagreement by heading to the Dáil to protest at conditions and pay cuts, which was organised by the National Association of General Practitioners.

Other aspects of the healthcare crisis involve a lack of beds, and the disastrous cost of the new National Paediatric Hospital, which sum now stands at €1.7 billion.

Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer have both opened up after The Sun reported that the pair were now living separately following Jack's cocaine binge.

The Love Island couple have been through their fair amount of drama, but now it's heightened as Jack admits to taking a class A drug on a weekend with friends.

Dani's mother Jo was seen hauling a suitcase out of the duo's house in images obtained by the publication, with a source claiming that Dani and her family were "furious" at Jack.

Dani has denied this;

She took to Twitter to dissipate the claims, saying, "I can’t believe I’m commenting on a paper but when my family are constantly brought up I can’t bear it. MY family have done nothing but always love and support Jack through good times and bad."

She concluded, "So don’t send me messages and judge something you know nothing about."

Now Jack has come out with his own statement on the matter, saying;

"Please don’t read everything you read , I love Dani and her family and me and Dani are fine we love each other , it’s a shame that this has been written as it’s so untrue."

He later clarified that he'd meant to say "don't believe everything you read".

The 27-year-old told The Sun the other day that. "I'm in a new world of partying and stuff, and being in circles that I would never normally have been in."

He continued; "I'd never normally be in these situations but, yes, since winning the show I have been offered cocaine a lot."

Jack went on to say how much he regretted taking the drug during a recent night out with pals, and urged young fans not to follow in his footsteps;

"But I went out all night, I was drinking and I just got carried away and made a stupid, stupid mistake which I wish I'd never done, you know. I regret it."

Jack and Dani are doing just fine, judging by their tweets.

It seems like every celebrity has been getting themselves into a spot of bother lately, even heartthrob singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes.

The 20-year-old Canadian artist has let his guitar-strumming fingers 'accidentally' like a transphobic tweet, and Twitter went OFF.

The tweet is hella offensive for trans people, so bear in mind it could be triggering to see. In essence, it makes a joke about testicular cancer for trans women, and Shawn liked it either by mistake or on purpose.

His fans were quick to point it out to him, telling him to unlike the tweet immediately and apologise for any unintentional harm caused. His fans definitely have some good sense..

The Stitches singer replied pretty promptly, explaining that he had accidentally liked the tweet while scrolling through his feed (hmm).

"Must of accidentally liked it scrolling down a feed, you know me and I'd never. Sorry," he tweeted to his 20 million followers.

He tweeted a simple, 'Love you' afterwards, most likely thanking his devoted fans for spotting a mistake which could have landed him in even more trouble had he not explained and apologised.

Why did a transphobic tweet pop up in his feed, though? He does follow over 50,000 accounts so it is probably difficult to keep track of all the comments coming his way.

He has also been very supportive of the LGBT+ community in the past.

When producer Teddy Geiger transitioned last year, Shawn urged others to "just open your eyes and open your mind, because, for me, going through one of my closest friends going through a very big transition period in her life, was incredible to watch."

Khloe Kardashain has faced a bit of ridicule this week, after a photo of her garnered rather a lot of attention.

Usually, the focal point of a Kardashian Insta pic is flawless makeup, a peachy booty or killer outfit, but in this instance, it was Khloe's thumb that was taking centre stage – or should we say, both her thumbs.

The image had fans confused, as Khloe's thumb looks split into two in the photo, which sees the mum-of-one in a long blonde wig and nude blazer.

'Your family photoshops everything so why wouldn’t we question the thumb?' said another.

'The fact that y'all think one would Photoshop thumbs concerns me a bit. What the hell are y'all Photoshopping?'

We'll accept this as a bad glitch app in this case, but there is no denying that social media has a major photoshop problem.

Liam Neeson's racism controversy isn't showing any signs of dissipating, as the red carpet events before the New York premiere of his latest film have been cancelled.

Just one day after the interview was shared involving the actor describing his revenge plot against a "black b*astard" for the rape of his friend, the Cold Pursuit promotion has ended.

He went on Good Morning America yesterday to try and explain the remarks, which he made during an interview with The Independent, saying; “I’m not a racist.”

His comments have been met with huge outrage since Monday, and has drawn condemnation from civil rights activists for their racist tones.

The Taken actor has said that the episode roughly occurred 40 years ago, after hearing that a close friend had been raped by a black assailant.

“After that there were some nights when I went out deliberately into black areas in the city looking to be set upon so that I could unleash physical violence,” Mr. Neeson said. “And I did it for, I’d say, maybe four or five times.”

The interviewer on Good Morning America, Robin Roberts, who is African-American, told Mr. Neeson, “You have to understand the pain of a black person hearing what you said.”

Mr. Neeson replied: “You’re absolutely right, and at the time, even though it was 40 years ago, I didn’t think about that. All those things surprised me, but it was this primal hatred, I guess, that really, really shocked me when I eventually came down to earth and saw what I was doing — going out and looking for a fight.”

Yesterday's red carpet events, which would have allowed Mr. Neeson and his co-stars to talk to reporters, cameras and more questions, were cancelled hours before they were scheduled to begin, according to a spokesman for Lionsgate, who wouldn't make a statement about the actor's remarks.

In his interview with Good Morning America,  Neeson said he would have responded with a similar “primal urge” if his friend’s attacker had been white, and also linked his urge for violence to his time growing up in The Troubles of Northern Ireland.

“If she would have said an Irish or a Scot or a Brit or a Lithuanian, I know I would have had the same effect,” Mr. Neeson said on Tuesday, referring to his friend. “I was trying to show honour to my- stand up for my dear friend in this terrible, medieval fashion.”

He power-walked and spoke to a Catholic priest to try and overcome his anger about his friend's horrible victimisation; the friend passed away five years ago.

Mr. Neeson said the episode 40 years ago had taught him that violence and revenge only lead to more violence and revenge. He said the uproar this week had taught him something, too.

“We all pretend we’re politically correct, but in this country, it’s the same in my own country, too, but sometimes you just scratch the surface and you discover this racism and bigotry,” he said. “It’s there.”

Ariana Grande has reportedly pulled out of her Grammy Awards performance after having a disagreement with the producers over which songs she would perform.

Sources at Variety are claiming that she felt "insulted" after the producers refused to allow her to sing 7 Rings, her latest single from upcoming album Thank U Next.

The album is due out two days before the Grammys, and the 25-year-old singer has appeared on billboards across the USA promoting the show, which takes place this Sunday.

Not only will she not be performing, she won't even be in attendance. YIKES…also devastating. We'd have loved to see her perform.

A compromise was apparently reached where 7 Rings could be sung as part of a medley, but she pulled out after the producers insisted that the second song choice was theirs to make.

The source also stated that such stipulations were not imposed on any other show performers, which is interesting.

Grande has been absolutely KILLIN' IT this year, with Billboard number one album Sweetener and singles Thank U Next and 7 Rings.

Who can forget the tunes God is a Woman and Breathin' too? She's been a gift. She's nominated in some of the Grammys biggest categories, including Best Pop Vocal Performance for God is a Woman and Best Pop Vocal Album.

The story is super similar to that of Lorde, who pulled out of the Grammys performance last year when producers told her she wasn't allowed to perform a song from her second album, Melodrama, which was nominated for Album of the Year.

Hmmm…suspicious. What's up with the producers?

If we went already over the bout of bad weather we have been having, – it's about to get worse.

Met Eireann predict heavy showers and risk of thunder today, so basically grab a hot water bottle and hope for the best.

According to the meteorological service: 'Heavy showers of rain or hail this morning in the western half of the country with a risk of thunder near the coast.'

'Towards evening, heavy, thundery rain will develop in the west.'

As if that wasn't bad enough, the thunder and rainfall will clear up to make way for icy conditions.

'This evening and early tonight, thundery rain will spread eastwards across the country.'

'It will be heavy with hail and sleet in places. The rain will clear eastwards overnight.'

'Clear weather will follow with frost and some icy patches developing.'

Many commoners such as ourselves simply aren't able to handle the fringe lifestyle. Between keeping it cut properly in parallel to the rest of your hair, making sure it stays in place and isn't blinding you; it's a 24/7 job.

Kendall Jenner has seemingly decided to commit to that bangs lifestyle, but then again she does have a team of hairstylists to help her.

She's showing off her brand new look in a recent selfie, and we have to say: she's lookin' FINE.

The 24-year-old model looks really different to her normal lewk, and some are even saying she's resembling her mum, Kris Jenner, a lot more now.

The famous Kardashian family are renowned for trying out wigs and hair extensions, so who knows if the hairstyle is just temporary or if it's a permanent move.

The last time she rocked a look even remotely like this was at the AMAs back in the olden days of 2015  with a long fringe, and she really does look like her mom-ager there.

We think she looks shockingly like fellow model Emily Ratajkowski, especially with all that pouting. What do you gals think of the look?
