Conor McGregor has finally spoken out about the infamous pub incident where he punched an elderly man in April, admitting that he was "in the wrong".

The video recently emerged which showed the 31-year-old fighter punch a 50-year-old man in the Marble Arch pub, with the man involved labelling the former UFC two-weight champ a "bully with money".

In his first interview since the public have seen the video, the Dubliner has owned up to his wrongs and vowed to "do better".

"In reality, it doesn't matter what happened there. I was in the wrong," McGregor said in an interview with ESPN's Ariel Helwani. "That man deserved to enjoy his time in the pub without it having to end the way it did.

"Although, five months ago it was, and I tried to make amends and I made amends back then – it still, that doesn't even matter," he continued.

"I was in the wrong. I must come here before you and take accountability and take responsibility. I owe it to the people that have been supporting me. I owe it to my mother, my father, my family. I owe it to the people who trained me in martial arts."

"That's not who I am, that's not the reason why I got into martial arts or studying combat sports. The reason why I got into it was to defend against that type of scenario.

"To see that, although (it was) months ago and I have been making steps and continuously making steps to do better and be better – to see it is like a dagger into my heart as a young martial artist," he said.

"I'm just here to own up to that and move on, carry on and face what's coming." The video of the incident went viral, with the victim saying that he's glad McGregor's reputation has been negatively impacted.

The 50-year-old revealed to The Irish Daily Star: "I am sitting on the bar stool just having a quiet pint with my friend then all of a sudden because I refuse his drink I get a punch, you don't need that in life."

The shocking video shows the Crumlin thug holding his own brand of Proper No. Twelve whiskey in Drimnagh, putting glasses down on the bar for everyone.

"I didn't even notice McGregor coming into the pub but seemingly he was throwing shots around.

"He approached me from the left-hand side. I was ready to go. He said, 'will you have one of my whiskeys?' I said 'no'. I don't like whiskey. I'm a Guinness man. I put the glass up on (the counter)."

"He said 'no you will have it with me.' I said 'I don't want it'. I think I put it back up again. He obviously got aggravated that I had disrespected, and that's when he gave me the punch.

"My taxi arrived that I was after ordering. The taxi man came in and said to come outside. I put my jacket on and went outside with the taxi man, popped in the front and the next thing McGregor and his friend, I don't who he was I had never seen the chap before, hopped into the back of it," he added.

"I thought he was cheeky. His friend was just talking to the taxi man. I didn't talk to McGregor."

The man said the punch left its mark for a week with McGregor reportedly set to be charged for the incident.

"Look it, I can take a punch," he said."It was sore for about a week. It wasn't killing me or anything. I just don't want to make sure he doesn't do that to anyone else again, just taking him down a peg.

He added: "I don't like the man. I think he is getting a bad rep. He is a bit of a bully. A bully with money."

A fellow pub punter described the incident in detail, saying that the victim didn't leave his house for days afterwards.

“At the end of the day he doesn’t want an apology or any money, he just wants justice for what happened to him. He wouldn’t have been a fan of McGregor before all this and he most certainly isn’t now."

We've all been given the 'seen' treatment.

You know the feeling; you send a frankly hilarious/charming/emotionally charged message to a significant other, or someone you just think is damn FINE and they reply with ….nothing.

You're left stunned, humiliated and downright SANGRY. (Sad and angry, the term will catch on eventually.)

Well, when one girlfriend was getting zero response, she decided to do something productive with her time and create a fake movie trailer for the search for missing man.

The result is GAS;

Paulina Ramirez sent a text to her boyfriend George Giron about a potential plan for chicken and waffles, but never heard back.

How in God's name can anyone not reply to chicken and waffles? What kind of monster is that??

people feel better GIF

Yet instead of stewing in her own frustration and rage, the 21-year-old student at California State University, Ramirez created this professional-grade trailer called Where the F*** is George?

She spoke to Buzzfeed about her highly productive and funny project, and as it turned out, he was only asleep…for an hour.

"I got bored and decided to make a video that might make him chuckle."

The video went viral after she uploaded it to Twitter, with more than 1.4million views, 50,000 retweets, and 160,000 likes.

Fair play Paulina, but maybe wait longer than an hour to send out a search party.

What is true love?

When we're growing up it's all princesses and fairytales and happily ever afters. But as we get older we gradually start to realises that life isn't  exactly a Disney movie- as much as we'd like it to be.

It's hard work, it's compromise, it's massive fights spurred by the fact that they forgot to take the bins out- again.

But mostly, it's the little moments. With massive bouquets and surprise holidays splashed all over Instagram, it can be easy to forget that love is in the little things.

This video is a testaments to that. 19-year-old Raigan Kelley was working as an apprentice hairdresser in Texas when an elderly couple, Andrew and Theresa,  came into the salon.

Theresa had suffered a stroke 18 years ago, and was no longer able to style her hair herself. So her husband had come into the salon to learn how to do it for her.

“Proof that true love really exists,” Raigen captioned the sweet clip. “She can no longer style her hair herself and her husband insisted on learning how to do it for her step by step.”

We're gonna need some tissues.

Speaking to Babble, their son Steve said that his parents relationship had always been a special one.

“My dad has always worked his tail off,” he said. “He’s never expected or asked for anything. He travelled all the time as a salesman for an electrical company and gave everything he had to his family.

“Ever since my mom’s stroke, she’s always wanted him by her side.”

So for mother's day, the three children chipped in to get Theresa a voucher for The Foundry Hair Salon, her favourite. As delighted as she was with her new do, everyone knows that it only takes one wash for that fresh salon bounce to fade.

Sensing that his made Theresa upset, Andrew returned to the salon to enquire about the products they used. But realising what it was for, the hairdressers offered to give him a styling lesson instead.

“From products, to the way you hold the brush and dryer … truly one of the best things I have been able to witness in my life,” wrote Reigan. “Brought tears to my eyes … What an amazing man and what a lucky woman.”

The video has since gone viral, touching hearts everywhere with over two million views.

When Steve told his father about the videos success, he refused to take any credit.

“My dad said, ‘Don’t make this about us. It’s not about us — it’s about the Foundry folks helping us out,'” he explained.

Now THAT is true love.

No matter how much you might try to plan a birth, fate sometimes has to intervene.

Haley Lindsey was excited and nervous to be nearing the due date with her first baby. But there was one issue, her husband, Brooks, was still deployed overseas with the US army.

Her water broke on Friday morning and Brooks raced to a plane. By the time he landed in Dallas, Haley was 5 centimetres dilated and ready to push.

Brooks had been planning on hopping on the 3.55 flight back to Mississippi, but he was delayed for two hours.

Worried that Brooks might not be present at the birth of his daughter, his mother had a brain wave- why not FaceTime him?

She snook the camera in under her shirt so Brooks could see what was going on. As Haley began to push the doctor realised that they were being recorded and saw Brooks face on the screen.

"Brooks was telling me it was okay, and I was doing so good and I heard him wincing and saying ‘wow!’ through my pushes," Haley told Love What Matters. "I could hear people in the airport talking and cheering!

"Brooks then went on to say that they were making him board and needed to get off as soon as she finally started to crown and all I remember was my Doctor screaming ‘Don’t let him board the flight! She’s here! She’s here!’ So, the airport personnel let him sit there and watch till it was over!"

Sitting on the floor crying, Brooks was snapped by a fellow passenger, whose picture soon went viral.

Eventually, Brooks landed and raced to the hospital to meet the new arrival. Look at how cute they are!

We're so glad that he got to spend some special time with his new baby.

Last week, 12-year-old, Allie Sherlock, went viral when a video of busking on Dublin's Grafton Street received over 1.2 million views on Facebook.

The Cork native stunned audiences across the world with her version of Ed Sheeran's Supermarket Flowers, and it seems her stellar performance even caught the eye of US talk-show host, Ellen DeGeneres.

According to reports, producers of The Ellen Show approached Allie with an offer to appear on the show.

However, the 12-year-old turned down the opportunity, saying that singing is just a hobby.

She told the Evening Echo, "I don't want it to be a professional career but I'd like to do it, just as a hobby. I'd like to do childcare because my auntie owns a creche,"

"I want to keep practising all the time and singing and so it's like a hobby really. Maybe I'll do weddings. I'd like to see what happens in the future before deciding anything."

Her father, Mark also went on to say that Allie is still young, and see music as a fun pastime.

"There's been a few people on to us about different things. She had the Ellen Show in America contact her but she's only 12 and she just enjoys a bit of busking.

"My main thing is that Allie continues to be Allie because she's a child. She enjoys her singing and as soon as it isn't fun anymore, that would be the end of it."

"Her plan is to do childcare, she would love that. Music is second. She might go to college and maybe head into town busking and earn herself a few quid."

Now, that's fair enough, but if The Ellen Show ever came knocking on our door, we'd be on the first flight to LA, no questions asked.

After Hunda Beauty wore lube as a primer, we realised digital influencers are willing to do a lot in the name of beauty.

Because of this, we shouldn’t really have been too surprised to find YouTuber Maria Yeager removing her makeup with a bottle of men’s shaving foam.

Taking a can of Gillette Fusion as her cleanser of choice, the popular Instagrammer filmed herself as she liberally applied the gel to a face of heavy makeup.

After some vigorous rubbing, Maria used a damp facecloth to wipe her skin clean, before repeating the process to effectively rid her face of eye-makeup.

So, next time you find yourself in a house without makeup wipes, you know what to do!

Earlier this week, Niall Horan left us blushing when he revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that Ellie Goulding would be his dream date.

Granted the This Town singer was caught in a game of Who’d You Rather with the comedic host, but after a round of quick fire questions, Ellie turned out to be the One D star’s perfect match.

Since the Burn songstress briefly dated the 23-year-old singer back in 2014, fans quickly began to speculate that Niall may still have feelings for his famous ex.

Last night the Mullingar man did little to dispel that belief, as when faced with having to eat beef tongue if he refused a question from James Corden, Niall admitted he would choose to spend his last night on earth with Ellie Goulding instead of his other ex, Selena Gomez.

As part of The Late Late Show’s Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts segment, James posed the question: “You’ve dated both Selena Gomez and Ellie Goulding.  It’s your last night on earth.  Out of the two of them, who would you rather spend it with?”

After much thought – and lots of laughter from his co-stars – Niall confessed: “Because it’s the last night on earth, Ellie is a big fan of Planet Earth by David Attenborough so I would sit and watch that with her.  For that reason, Ellie Goulding.”

And just like that, we're in tears!

A nine-year-old girl has become an Internet sensation after a video of her performing Adele’s Hello in a bid to connect with her late father went viral.

After her mother asked her why she was repeatedly singing the song in her bedroom, Sadiella Shroyer explained that it was her way of apologising to her dad “from the other side”.

In a heart-breaking Instagram post Ami Shroyer wrote:  “This song became popular about the time we lost Mike.  She would sing it over and over in her room, and I asked her one time why she liked this song so much.”

“Her response: ‘I think Daddy can hear me from the other side, and I'm sorry for everything I ever did that was wrong.’”

Ami – who is herself a singer-songwriter – revealed the emotions her daughter’s words evoked in her.

“Broke. My. Heart,” she wrote.  “Still… she loves this song, even if the rest of the world is tired of it…I really really love this girl!”

According to Babble, Sadiella’s dad died in December 2015 after an unexplained obstruction eventually caused him to go into cardiac arrest.

Months later, her grandfather, Ami’s father, died from a brain haemorrhage.

Ami told the site that her family have dealt with those tragedies through a combination of faith and music.

The Internet has thrown up some peculiar beauty trends in the last few years, but using lube as a primer has to be one of the strangest.

In a new video by YouTuber Hunda Beauty, Hunda Kattan documents the effectiveness of a lubricant, Vagisil, Milk of Magnesia, aftershave balm and olive oil as priming products for makeup.

During the four minute video, the Dubai-based beauty blogger explains that lube is somewhat similar to silicon-based primers, while the feminine anti-itch cream, Vagisil, contains an oil controlling ingredient.

After applying makeup over the products, Hunda found that lube does not make a decent primer (awh!), but Vagisil hydrated her skin, controlled oil and worked well beneath cosmetics.
