Rebel Wilson has just dropped a trailer for her new movie and it is unreal.

Called Isn’t It Romantic?, the film is a spit take of romantic comedies.

The idea is absolutely genius and we can’t wait to see it.

Natalie thinks rom-coms have distorted women’s views on reality. No one magically ends up with a sexy and smart guy after a chance encounter, and no one EVER lives happily ever after.

But after a bump on the head, she wakes up to find that not only is her life way better, but she is trapped in a rom-com alternate universe.

She is stuck in the stereotype – lives a rich lifestyle, has a dream apartment, a gay sidekick, and a smoking hot boyfriend.

The film also features Priyanka Chopra, Liam Hemsworth, and Adam Devine.

Halloween night is usually one of the busiest nights of the year for pretty much every fire brigade nationwide, and this year was no different.

Dublin Fire Brigade received a shocking 900 calls last night, with fireworks and illegal bonfires causing the vast majority of incidents.

Greg O'Dwyer, Acting Assistant Chief Fire Officer with Dublin's brigade said the service's full crew was on duty last night, with the entire fleet in operation.

According to O'Dwyer, regional control centre mostly dealt with Halloween-related occurances, and injuries sustained were prominently of the hands and eyes.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, he commented on the massive amount of ambulance calls:

"We received 904 '999' calls into our control centre, 368 of these were Dublin fire calls (230 Halloween related) and 365 were Dublin ambulance calls," the service said this morning.

While speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Mr O'Dwyer said that this was at least six times busier than the normal Wednesday night, but relatively on the same wavelength as past Halloweens.

He also said that anti-social behaviour was actually decreasing and the number of injuries are being reduced as a result of organised events by local authorities in the run-up to this year's Halloween.

This past month, Gardaí have been clamping down on the gathering of incendiary items such as fireworks or bonfire materials, which appears to have had positive effects.

"I can’t stress how positive it is to have the organised events. It keeps people in a safe environment," said Mr O'Dwyer.

The assistant fire chief described the situations where cars were actually being driven onto dwindling bonfires in the early hours of the morning, as they die down.

He claimed that people will do "anything to keep them going", and that the major danger with illegal bonfires is the combustible materials which people throw onto them, for example aerosol cans and gas cylinders.

"There is no safe distance" for those types of fuels.

Cork reported an unusually small number of bonfire-related calls, with Cork City Fire Service claiming that last night was no busier than average.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) described their Halloween as a "relatively quiet" evening.

Firefighters in N. Ireland responded to 6% fewer calls on Halloween night compared with last year.

It wasn’t just the Kardashian sisters who decided to dress up as Victoria’s Secret angels this Halloween.

Kim, Kylie, Kourtney, Khloe and Kendall all donned white angel wings and various forms of lingerie for their group Halloween costume.

Love’s Island Georgia Steel also paid homage to the iconic annual fashion show by nabbing a look that was very similar to the Kardashian sister's.

Georgia optred for a pair of white, custom-made feathered angel wings to create her Victorias Secret look.

She wore a white bodyshuit with a cut-out detail, along with white fishnet tights and holographic silver boots.

Rather than going full VS, Georgia added a deathly element.

Halloween is offish over so we can now talk about Christmas and New Years without sounded crazy, right?

Now in its seventh year, New Years Festival Dublin [NYF Dublin] is back again to help us ring in 2019 with three unreal events – a dazzling lighting spectacle called Liffey Lights Midnight Moment and 3Countdown Concert with amazing music acts that will give you a New Years Eve night to remember.

We can officially reveal that the headlining act is none other than the fab Gavin James.

Supporting acts are Hudson Taylor, Inhaler and Wild Youth.

Seriously, whatta line-up.

Gavin James is taking to the stage and we are buzzing about the news – as is he.

''I'm very excited,'' he says. His album is, Only Ticket Home, came out last week and it has already climbed to the top of the charts.

He's also getting ready to go back to touring; something he loves.

''I've got a little scooter that I use now while Im on tour to get around. I''m trying to get friends that come with me do it too – we can be a little scooter gang.''

Speaking of NYE, what's in store for him in 2019?

''World tour time. We're heading to London, Europe, then America which will take me right into festival season, it's pretty full on.''

His NYF show also might be a little different to the previous ones – all thanks to his brand new Les Paul guitar.

While acoustic guitar is his thing, he just might mix it up – so you might hear some electric guitar courtesy of Mr Gavin James come NYE.

Also on the bill is Irish folk/Americana duo Hudson Taylor made up of brothers Harry and Alfie.

“Oooooh new album on Friday”

A post shared by Gavin James (@gavinjameslive) on

Harry admits that NYE is generally a "divisive" night but one that him and his brother love, mainly because they go out busking.

Plus "its good to do the cheesy countdown thing."

We couldn't agree more.

Fresh from supporting Hozier, the Hudson Taylor lads might be gearing up for their own headline tour in the new year. So what better time to see them then to close out 2018?

To make it even better, their younger sister Halli will join them on stage and she herself has just released her first single, "Fukc Fear" so she is one to watch – exciting stuff.

Also playing will be Dublin four-piece Inhaler, who might be fresh from their Leaving Cert but they are more than ready to put on an amazing show.

So what should you expect from them?

"A lot of new songs. We only have two songs on Spotify and they came out like two years ago and our music's changed since then."

Their influences include a lot of 1980 's references – think Depeche Mode. While they've been playing together since 2016, 2019 looks set to be the year where they are gonna be releasing new music and a brand new single.

With amazing artists like these playing at NYF, you know where you gotta be on the 31st of December – see you there.

Tickets for NYF Dublin are 29.90 including booking fee and will be on sale from Monday November 5th qt 9am from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and www.ticketmaster.ie.

Some of you 'Bah, Humbug' folk will be over the moon after hearing this statistic.

Christmas music is a divider for many people, some are blasting it the second the Halloween decorations come down, and others would sooner go deaf than hear a single note of Deck the Halls.

Clinical psychologists have now claimed that listening to too much Christmas music at an early age negatively impacts your health. This could 100% affect some of us little elves.

mean girls christmas GIF

According to psychologist Linda Blair, listening to Santa Claus is Coming to Town” on repeat could actually have a bad result on your brain. I mean, once it gets stuck in your head it's essentially impossible to get out.

"Music goes right to our emotions immediately and it bypasses rationality. Christmas music is likely to irritate people if it’s played too loudly and too early."

"It might make us feel that we’re trapped – it’s a reminder that we have to buy presents, cater for people, organise celebrations." Stressful, in other words. Like doing all of your Christmas shopping on December 24.

parks and recreation christmas GIF

She told Sky News: “People working in the shops at Christmas have to tune out Christmas music because if they don’t, it really does stop you from being able to focus on anything else."

“You’re simply spending all of your energy trying not to hear what you’re hearing.” Read it and weep, all you festive gals

Music psychology researcher, Dr Victoria Williamson backed this research up, explaining the ‘U-shaped relationship’ between the amount of times we hear music that we like and our ‘subsequent reaction to it’, writes Cosmopolitan.

macaulay culkin christmas GIF

She says the first few renditions of the Christmas playlist can put people in a great mood, but after a while it can wear you down.

All those carols and lyrics talking about Santa and mince pies seem more annoying when you're actually trying to concentrate, there's no denying that.

Marketing professor Eric Spangenberg has studied the effect of holiday music in retail settings, claiming to NBC that slow tempos slow shoppers down, meaning that they will stay in shops longer whereas fast-paced tunes can rush customers through stores much quicker.

Hmm, seems legit.

With only 54 days until Christmas, there's plenty of negative health effects about to come our way from the onslaught of festive tunes.

Good luck out there, fam.

Beauty journalist and Instagram influencer Sali Hughes knows a thing or two about makeup and skincare products.

With her huge following and her years of experience as columnist, she has tried and tested more beauty products that you could dream of.

That's why when we got lucky enough to ask the expert a few questions, we had to know which products she thinks we should invest in and which ones don't deserve a splurge.

So, high-end or high street?

For moisturiser, cleanser and makeup remover, she says either is fine.

For bronzer, Sali thinks both work well as long as you choose a mat one.

When it comes to foundation, she definitely recommends going high end. "Foundation takes us the biggest amount of real estate on your face. As you wear it all day, a cheap foundation can go very wrong and I have rarely met a cheap foundation I liked so it's better to invest there."

For mascara, the expert happens to use high-end products (her favourite is Clinique mascara) but she wouldn't think twice about using a cheaper one.

For eyeshadows and lipsticks, she believes you tend to get more pigments and more blendability in high-end products.

"There are exceptions, she says, but if you want the pigments to show up, it's normally best investing. If you want a whisper of colour like for bronzer and blusher, you can use cheaper ones".

As for the biggest mistake she sees women make when it comes to beauty, using the wrong colour foundation is by far number one. "The job of your foundation is not to darken your skin! Use a foundation that matches your skin and if you want to look tanned, bring the tan with a bronzer".

It's nearly impossible to imagine one of the best shows of the last few years killing off two of its beloved main characters, but the Duffer Brothers are no ordinary show-runners.

They have recently revealed that during their initial planning process, they decided that Steve and Eleven would be killed off during season one.

NOT BABYSITTER STEVE. Please, we beg. Or Eleven, she's our new badass feminist hero, if only we were that cool at 14.

The hit Netflix series just wouldn't be the same without it's leading protagonist Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the lovable babysitter Steve Harrington (Joe Keery).

Over the course of two (soon to be three!) seasons, these characters have become both deeply integral to the show while also becoming massive fan favourites – which begs the question, why would they have ever been killed off in the first place?

A post shared by Stranger Things (@strangerthingstv) on

In a brand new behind-the-scenes companion book Stranger Things: Worlds Turned Upside Down, Matt and Ross Duffer have let slip that both Eleven and Steve weren't originally meant to survive, because Eleven was allegedly going to sacrifice herself to save the others.

"Eleven was going to sacrifice herself to save the day. That was always the end game." The proposed deaths would have been a huge transformation to the storylines of the show's future.

It soon became crystal clear to the Duffers that Stranger Things would return for season two, which changed everything.

A post shared by Del Rey Books (@delreybooks) on

"We needed to leave it more up in the air, because deep down we knew the show just wouldn’t really work without Eleven. And at that point, we knew how special Millie Bobby Brown was. If there was going to be more Stranger Things, Eleven had to come back."

Millie Bobby Brown has emerged from the show as one of the most prominent talents of generation, and has showed maturity far beyond her age. She even shaved her head for her audition for the role of Eleven to show her commitment to the role. A true Kween.

A post shared by Stranger Things (@strangerthingstv) on

Steve Harrington was kept alive by the Duffer brothers mostly because the fans absolutely adored him; his character arc from Nancy's obnoxious boyfriend to lovable and selfless babysitter to the pack of alien-fighting kids gripped the audience.

It was thanks to actor Joe Keery's portrayal of local Hawkins heartthrob that also contributed to the script change: "This Steve character, he was just supposed to be this giant douchebag," Ross revealed.

The Duffers also revealed that Bob Newby (Sean Astin) was always intended to die, but he originally was planned be killed off a lot earlier in the series. “Sean Astin proved so likeable that Bob’s death got pushed from episode four to episode eight because we kept wanting to keep him alive,” he explained.

“It was important to us and also to Sean to give him a bit of a hero’s death. We wanted him to accomplish something meaningful."

Judging by the trailer for season three, Eleven and Steve will be more essential to the show than ever before.

The creators have claimed that the newest season is based centrally in Hawkins mall, and takes it's primary inspiration from The Thing:

"While it's our most fun season, it also turns out to be our grossest season," Ross Duffer teases. "We're inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing. We're inspired by Cronenberg.

"We have a little bit of a George Romero vibe in there as well. There are horror movies and horror masters that we haven't really paid tribute to as much in previous seasons that we are definitely going to get into this season."

Season three of the fan favourite show is premiering in summer 2019 on Netflix. We're counting down the days, people.
