Actress Jessica Alba has been in the Hollywood industry from the age of 12.

As a young actress, she says she was aware of the culture of sexual harassment.

Speaking on CNN’s Talk Asia programme, the actress said that when she was starting off, she was resigned to think that 'that’s the way you were going to be treated.'

When asked if she had experienced sexual harassment during her time as an actress, she said: 'Oh yeah, of course I have. Yeah. All the time along the way.'

'I don’t know, I guess you shouldn’t have accepted it, but, as a young actress growing up in the business, you just accepted that that’s the way you were going to be treated,' she continued.

'You could either go this way or that way with it, and do I think I could’ve gotten some opportunities if I would’ve done this versus that? Sure, but for me, that’s just not something I was comfortable with, frankly … I mean, I’ve been doing this since I was 12.'

When asked about the Me Too movement shedding light on the abusive underbelly of Hollywood, Alba resolutely exclaimed that she was glad it was out in the open now, and that it was about time people spoke out.

'Imagine, imagine what that’s like,' she said, reflecting on her own experiences.

'I think things have been imbalanced for way too long and I think it’s about time.'

So, we can all agree that Legally Blonde is one of the greatest feel-good movies of all time, right? (don't fight us on this)

It's been 16 years since Reese Witherspoon brought the naive, yet oh-so determined Elle Woods to life, and while the film remains a must-watch for any girly night in, it looks like her character's legacy lives on in more ways than one.

For those of you who haven't seen this 00's classic, it tells the story of a heartbroken girl who decided to go to law school in order to win back her ex-boyfriend.

Sure, the motivation may not have come from the right place, but hey, she made it into Harvard Law School and that's more than most of us can say.

And it seems that Elle's grit and determination struck a chord with many aspiring female lawyers, as Reese Witherspoon recently revealed she is constantly being approached by women who say they it was that film that inspired them to go to university.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, the actress said: “At least once a week I have a woman come up to me and say, ‘I went to law school because of [the film].'”

Bend and snap, girls!

Everyone has their insecurities and hang-ups about their bodies – and we are our own harshest critics.

In the world when images of Instagram and Victoria secret models are accessible at a touch of a button, it's easy to get discouraged.

That's why you NEED to heed this advice from our one and only, Louise McSharry.

A post shared by Louise McSharry (@louisemcsharry) on

As the broadcaster cooled off in the Irish sea with her little man during the heatwave, it sparked a pang of regret.

Taking to Instagram, the body confident expert said: "I feel a tinge of sadness about all the times I didn’t swim growing up because I was too afraid to be seen in a swimsuit. There are a lot of things I didn’t do in my teens and twenties because I was ashamed of my body."

"Thankfully I came to the conclusion that I deserved to enjoy my life rather than hiding away because of something as superficial as my body’s appearance."

A post shared by Louise McSharry (@louisemcsharry) on

"I decided that if people judged me, it didn’t matter, that what mattered was living my actual life and not sitting on the sidelines watching other people going on sun holidays or swimming in the sea," she continued.

"As it happens, I’m not aware of anyone making any judgement or comment since I started doing and wearing what I want. Maybe they do, but I think because I’ve decided I don’t care, I don’t even notice it if it is happening."

A post shared by Louise McSharry (@louisemcsharry) on

"Not ‘when you lose the weight’, because you might never ‘lose the weight’ and actually you’re probably just fine as you are."

"One thing’s for sure, you won’t find yourself lying on your deathbed thinking ‘thank god I didn’t take my cardigan off on that really hot day’ or ‘I’m really glad I didn’t go swimming with my friends all those times.’ You deserve to LIVE, whatever body you’re in."

We couldn't agree more.

Now get out there into the freezing Irish sea and rock that swimsuit!

Summer of 84 is hitting cinemas next month and it is the perfect summer scary movie.

Set (obviously) in the summer of 1984, the plot centres on a 15-year-old neighbourhood conspiracy theorist Davey, who starts to think that his police officer neighbour might be the serial killer that is being splashed across the local news.

Davey and his gang of friends quickly band together to form their own murder investigation squad, and they soon begin to seriously suspect that the cop, Officer Mackey, is the killer.

There are obvious comparisons to Stranger Things. Both are set in 1980's America suburbia with a group of teenagers riding around on bikes and chasing unknown dangers.

However, instead of the supernatural, the dangerous force here is one that's grounded in reality – a serial killer.

Summer of 84 is more of a slasher than anything – think John Carpenter's Halloween's in the 1970's, Stephen King's Carrie or 1990's Scream

It seems that the horror genre is really having a moment.

Box office records were being broken left, right and centre in 2017 when it came to any kind of horror or thriller.

Jordan Peele's Get Out arrived early in the year, to a rapturous reception and a stunning $175 million at the box office.

The It remake was a huge surprise, nabbing the highest grossing horror record of all time at the US office, and earning $478 million worldwide. It is also the largest ever opening for a horror movie and the largest September opening of all time.

These figures speak for themselves and coupled with what is now the pop culture phenomenon Stranger Things, it's quite clear: scaring yourself in the cinema is officially in.

So, for those of you who love the whole nostalgic kids-banding-together-against-evil like in It or The Goonies, then you're in for a treat with this latest cinematic offering.

Watch the trailer below for the first look at Summer of 84.

Dating in this day and age is an absolute mind field.

We have to navigate and hopefully dodge catfishers, serial ghosters and players – just to name a few.

It may come as no surprise when you reach your 30s, you can look back on your history with 'fond' memories of the trials and tribulations of the dating world.

A post shared by Caroline Flack (@carolineflack) on

Our main Love Island hun, Caroline Flack has done just that.

In a candid letter to the "men of her thirties", the presenter gets real about the ups and downs of relationships.

After she detailed the nitty gritty (cough, cough Harry Styles), she paid a beautiful tribute to her fiance, Andrew Brady.

A post shared by Caroline Flack (@carolineflack) on

Penning the letter for Cosmopolitan magazine, the 38-year-old said:

"I dated friends and I dated younger men and I dated men who were hopelessly inappropriate and it was all… fun."

"Dating as a thirty-something woman felt more powerful than dating in my twenties – and all you guys made me see that," she continued.

A post shared by Caroline Flack (@carolineflack) on

"By your thirties, you’ve survived heartbreak, you’ve survived long, messy relationships, you’ve survived unrequited love and maddening love that leaves you tired and confused and willing to give it all up. Those are important things to have gone through and survived."

"People talk about meeting someone and feeling as though you’ve known them your whole life. That’s what it felt like when I met you… We laugh until we cry. I’ve never had that before – with anyone.

"Every other relationship I’ve had has only been about love, but with you it’s about friendship, too. It’s what I’ve been looking for," she wrote.

A post shared by Caroline Flack (@carolineflack) on

"My life was complete before you came into it – a man doesn’t complete your life. But I wanted to make room in it for you. I look at you and I think, Yes, Andrew, you’re the one I’ve been waiting for," she concluded.

Sorry, we were just sobbing.

The pair announced their engagement in April and here's hoping that we'll get just as lucky in love.

The Leaving Cert holiday is a rite of passage for most Irish teenagers.

To celebrate school finishing forever, you head off with your mates to Santa Ponsa or Aya Napa for a week with no parents and no rules.

Or so Mick Molloy thought.

Mick's mum was one step ahead of the other parents who simply give you a lecture before you get on the plane.

She decided to set down a few rules of her own that her son could take abroad with him.

Mick, from Gorey, shared the list on Twitter and it is pure gold.

The orders include to ''stay away from dodgy tattoo parlours with dirty needles'', to ''avoid balconies completely'' and also to ''walk away from fights.''

Also notice that the ''use condoms'' rule had double stars next to it – Mammy Molloy isn't taking any chances!

Best of luck on your trip lads, but better luck with sticking to those rules.

A quick scroll through Irish influencer Rosie Connolly's Instagram page, and she seems to have the world at her feet.

Recently married, a gorgeous little boy, a honeymoon in the Maldives and endless smiling snaps of herself with the inner circle of Irish influencing – it wouldn't be difficult to conclude that she lives a charmed life.

However, Rosie has taken to the social media platform to remind her following that all is not as it seems. The newlywed took to an Instagram caption to open up about her mental health struggle.

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

'What you see – Just another selfie on your feed,' she began the poignant post.

'What I see – behind the smile is a battle to get up, dressed and ready to face the world once again. I think it’s about time I was honest with you all, as keeping my feelings at to myself is making social media a very hard place to be lately.'

'I have been struggling with my mental health for 10 years and have had it under control for the past 3 years. However recently I’ve been struggling again, since well before our wedding day in May. I’ve been on medication for years, have done CBT, read self help books and they all worked. However things have changed lately and that’s ok… it’s ok to struggle again, it’s ok to have to start again in terms of recovery.'

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

After revealing her past struggle, Rosie went on to detail how she feels that having one life on social media and another offline contributes to mental health stigma – and she won't be contributing any longer.

'What I’m not ok with, is painting on a brave face (literally) and posting images which are only a snapshot of my life and not showing the reality… it’s too much pressure for me and it’s really getting me down. I feel like I had to keep things positive and not let that slip for my followers, when in actual fact, I’m sure some of you are feeling the same.'

'Outside of social media I have talked to my family, my GP and I am doing all I can to mind myself… eating well, avoiding alcohol, taking things slower. But considering social media is such a big part of my life, I felt it’s only right to let you all know where I am at. I’m struggling, but I won’t be forever.'

'Talking to someone is the best thing you can do. Surround yourself with people who will listen… they may not have the answers but even just talking about how you feel will help, I promise. I’m hoping that sharing this post will lift the heavy, pressured feeling I’ve had on my shoulders the past few weeks and months. I’ll continue to post but just know that I may not always be in the best place and if I don’t seem like myself online, you know why.'

A post shared by Rosie Connolly-Quinn (@rosieconxxx) on

Offering some final words of support to her following, she wrote:

'To anyone feeling the same, feeling off, out of sorts, out of character… you’re 100% not on your own and it’s totally ok to admit that you need some help. I know I can get back to myself with time, and you can too.'

Justin Trudeau has been accused of allegedly groping a woman at a music festival in Creson, British Colombia,18 years ago.

The woman, who has not been named but worked as a reporter at the time, alleges that the current Canadian Prime Minister 'blatantly disrespected' and 'inappropriately handled' the woman at the event in the year 2000.

The allegations were made in The Creston local newspaper at the time, and recently resurfaced online.

Speaking at an event, the Prime Minister was asked about the alleged incident.

'I remember that day in Creston well,' he replied.

'I had a good day that day; I don't remember any negative interactions that day at all.'

His office have reiterated his stance:

'As the Prime Minister has said before, he has always been very careful to treat everyone with respect.'

'His first experiences with activism were on the issue of sexual assault at McGill (University), and he knows the importance of being thoughtful and respectful,' the Prime Minister's office told CNN.
