Doireann Garrihy

It's fair to say that the Garrihy sisters – Aoibhin, Ailbhe and Doireann – are immensely talented and beyond stunning.

And when we meet them – along with their mum Clare, their close bond is easy to see.

The foursome are set to take part in Vhi'sWomen's Mini Marathon, which will on Bank Holiday Sunday June 2, at 2pm and they cant wait to do the 10K together.

As Doireann says, ''It's a great day there's people from all over the place of different backgrounds, shapes, size, ages…''

Aoibhin chimes in, ''When you see the sea of colour, everyone with their own t-shirt on and their own reason for being there, there's something emotional about it.''

While all four women are active and exercise regularly, Ailbhe has another reason for wanting to stay in shape – her wedding.

She's set to walk down the aisle in October and she revealed that she's in the throes of planning a three-day extravaganza that'll be in County Clare.

She says that she is quite relaxed about it all, ''Unlike Aoibhin who was sending us mood boards!''

The sisters are close in age and their relationship is more like that of mates then siblings, with Doireann and Ailbhe living together.

Aoibhin hits the nail on the head when she says that sisterhood is like, ''Having a forever friend'' and Ailbhe adds that it's having a ''Frank friend without a filter.''

While they still argue, the days of killing each other and stealing each others clothes are long gone.

As always, the three girls have a busy 2019 coming up, with Doireann having made the move from Spin 103.8 to Today FM.

In addition to having another series of The Doireann Project on the way, she also says that having her own show is the dream.

She said, ''I'd love a magazine style show where it's laid-back and you can talk about anything and everything. I don't know if I'd be cut out for breakfast radio though – those hours!''

Aoibhin has other projects that have temporarily taken her away from acting, but she still has a special place in her heart for dancing, after appearing on Dancing With The Stars in 2018.

Was it nerve-wracking having to dance live on air?

She said, ''It was the other stuff actually. We trained 8 – 10 hours a day'' to which mum Clare adds, ''She would come home, watch the dancing and call Vitali (her pro dance partner) and say what she wasn't happy with.''

''And then she'd go out that week and get all 10's!'' Doireann added.

It's such a pleasure to meet a family so close-knit and supportive of each other – and I have a feeling no matter what the Garrihy sisters do, they'll be amazingly successful.

The Vhi Women's Mini Marathon will take place on Bank Holiday Sunday June 2, 2019 at 2pm.

There were more than a few style moments which defined the late 00s to early twen-teens – from plastic glasses to fur gillets.

However, one item in particular that was seen as the height of edgy sophistication was the disco pants.

Hailing originally from American Apparel, and subsequently at every high street store after the fact, disco pants were the highlight of an era of style defined by tight silhouettes and hipster stylings.

The pants were the perfect accompaniment to the 00s lace bralette and chunky platform heels for a night out, or tucked into a band tee and boots for day.

If you had quite a few pairs back in the day, it's time to dig them out again, as the trousers are emerging as a micro trend over on instagram.

Our own Irish influencer Dpoireann Garrihy even opted for the shiny, skin-tight leggins for her promo shots for her upcoming TV series Podge & Rodge.

A quick search around the internet reveals that River Island and ASOS have all reintroduced the legging style to their fashion lineups, meaning the trend finders at these huge companies can sense that th pants are making a comeback.

For a 2018 update, we're teaming ours with hiking boots and a very textured sweater, or wearing them under a colourful sheer mesh dress.

Frankly, we're happy to see them back in our lives, after all, they're stretchy, comfy, and live that leather look without the constriction.

We're feeling extremely nostalgic over the news that Ballydung Manor will be returning to our TV screens.

RTE is bringing back the Podge & Rodge Show, but a modern update is included with the introduction of new host Doireann Garrihy.

The radio presenter and social media personality will be showcasing her comedic wares alongside the infamous puppet twins.

'It's coming back and I am hosting alongside Podge and Rodge, I can't believe it, I'm still pinching myself,' she told RTÉ Entertainment.

'I'm so delighted to be involved.'

'From the minute I walked in and met them first I was like, 'If I don’t get this gig, I'll be gutted' and I got it and I'm so thrilled to be here and to be involved in it,' she said.

The show has been cancelled since 2010, but we're delighted that it's making a comeback.

We're sure there will be cringey interviews and dirty jokes abound.

Doireann Garrihy is renowned for her impressions of Irish influencers.

However, the Spin1038 DJ has now turned her hand to impersonating Love Island#'s favourite villain – Megan Barton Hanson.

Posted to her Instagram and Twitter, her impression is scarily spot on.

From the hair flip and to the giggles, check it out for yourself:

While the warm weather may have retired this week (hopefully temporarily) the high street is definitely gearing up for summer styling.

Doireann Garrihy always gets it right in the style stakes, and one of her most recent OOTD snaps on Instagram is no exception.

Aperol Spritz in hand (don't mind if we do), Doireann's cream crêpe two-piece was instantly added to our mental wishlists.

The gorge little co-ord is from the Anne Glover X H&M collection, and has just arrived in stores nationwide.

While many of the sizes are sold out online, we had a look around town yesterday and saw plenty still in stock.

While Doireann opted for a classic look, pairing her co-ord with metallic runners and a navy top, we can think of quite a few ways to get your cost-per-wear out of the ensemble, whether you wear it together or separately.

 Shorts €22.99, and Blazer €39.99

For a night-out look, we would team the co-ord with a lime green bandeau top, delicate gold jewellery, nude barely-there heels and lashings of tan.

To keep things summery at work, we would throw the blazer over a plain white T-shirt and blue jeans, or wear the entire co-ord with a white t-shirt and white flatform runners.

For your holidays, the shorts would look divine with a black matador hat, black crop top and sandals.

Happy shopping.

Her impressions videos garnered hundreds of thousands of videos, as she took on the accents and mannerisms of the likes of Roz Purcell, So Sue Me and James Kavanagh.

Now, the influencer in her own right and radio host has landed her own mini-series on RTÉ, The Doireann Project.

The long-awaited series has finally landed on RTÉ Player, and if fans came for her impressions, they wont be disappointed.

There is nothing we love more than pouring over our favourite influncer's Snapchat story on the commute home, and each Irish influencer definitely has their own style and tone.

Doireann Garrihy has become a Snapchat star in her own right, after her original video of influencer impressions went viral five months ago.

Now, the Spin 103.8 radio host has posted her second part of the influencer installation, and we're seriously hoping it will become a series.

This time around, Doireann has included Roz Purcell, So Sue Me and Pippa O'Connor in her impressions.

The comedic genius has amassed thousands of followers thanks to her hilarious videos dedicated to some of Ireland's top personalities, and her impressions are uncanny.

The comic imitated the blogger's voices and accents perfectly, as well as mimicking their mannerisms and gestures.
