It is understood that The Cabinet will sign off on the legislation to legalise abortion today.

The new legislation will give women the option to terminate a pregnancy up to the twelfth week.

Women will be able to request an abortion through a GP or primary care service. Following the appointment, there will be a 72-hour consideration period.

Women will then return to their GP and don’t have to give a reason for their decision.

A GP must confirm that they are not passed the twelfth week of pregnancy.

Termination will be allowed past 12 weeks if:

The woman's health is in danger or her life is at risk

The foetus has not reached viability

It is appropriate to carry out the termination of pregnancy in order to advert that risk

The new legislation could also see a ban on protests near areas where abortions take place.

Minister Simon Harris will also address the Cabinet about the cost of abortion in Ireland. He believes that the price should not prevent women from accessing abortion.
It is believed the legislation will be passed before the start of 2019.

Revenge porn is a relatively new concept thanks to the extensive growth of the internet and social media, but it reinforces old, tired stereotypes.

Stereotypes that women who engage in sexual behaviour are bad, dirty, slutty, and that their sexual exploits can be used to condemn and publicly humiliate them on the most extensive and uncontrollable platform.

Revenge porn is when someone shares sexually explicit images or videos of another person without their consent, with the aim of causing them distress or harm.

Once an image gets uploaded online, there's a slim chance of getting it removed before someone sees it and shares it.

As much as we hate to bring it up again, we all remember the infamous Slane Girl case.

Photos and a video of the young woman performing a sex act at an Eminem concert exploded onto Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and just about any other social media site you can think of.

Comments under the posts branded her a "whore," a "slut," and encouraged her to end her own life, and seemed to revel in the demise of the reputation of this anonymous young woman, who is seen being groped, pushed and jeered at by up to eight young men in the video.

The problem with revenge porn is that it is not so anonymous.

Bitter ex-partners can pose online as the victim, saying explicit things and encouraging others to share the video, leading to friends, parents and co-workers seeing it.

Depending on how heinous the culprit feels like being, there have even been cases where they have invited strangers to the victim's address to engage in sex acts, unbeknownst to the victim.

Online images are impossible to control, and victims of revenge porn have found that, once their ex-significant other or sexual partner has uploaded their video to one porn site, the image then crops up on all of them, spreading at a speed that only the internet has coined a term for, virally.

Mischa Barton is the most recent celebrity to be affected by the phenomenon, as the star has been forced to defend herself after reports of a revenge porn tape have emerged.

"My absolute worst fear was realised when I learned that someone I thought I loved and trusted was filming my most intimate and private moments, without my consent, with hidden cameras," she said.

A loophole in Irish law has meant that revenge porn is legal in this country, but luckily time is running out for those who may wish to engage in this abhorrent behaviour.

Last year, Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald received approval to draft the Non-Fatal Offences(Amendment) Bill, which will make it a criminal offence to post intimate images online without the person's consent.

"Phenomena such as so-called revenge pornography and the publication of voyeuristic material can do serious and lasting damage at the touch of a button and it is important that we act now to ensure our laws can deal effectively with these challenges,” said the Minister.

The recommended punishment for publishing revenge porn is a maximum fine of €5000 and 12 months imprisonment.

While this fine may seem measly compared to the years of psychological and reputational damage the victim has to endure, at least it is something.

So, if manicures are your go-to pay day treat, you'll know just how good a fresh set of gel nails can make you feel.

Not only do they look great, but they last for ages and the application process is incredibly simple.

However, it seems this little act of self-care doesn't come without some minor health risks.

Of course, at this stage we're all aware of the dangers of stepping outside sans suncream on a sweltering hot day, yet few of us realise that we are being exposed to those same UV rays when getting our nails done.

The Skin Cancer Foundation are speaking out in an effort to make people aware of the potential risks.

“Some nail lamps are called “UV” lamps, and some are called LED lamps, but both emit UV radiation. They predominantly produce UVA rays, which have been linked to both premature skin ageing and skin cancer,” says Elizabeth K Hale, Skin Cancer Foundation Senior Vice President.

However, she did note that the risks are far lower than those presented by the prolonged use of tanning beds.

“Even the most intense of these devices presents only a moderate UV risk – a far lower risk than that presented by UV tanning devices.”

But, if you do want to keep your hands looking young and fresh, simply smother your hands in factor 30+ at least 20 minutes before your manicure.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked like the proudest mum as she arrived at the Chapel Royal for her son, Prince Louis’ christening service.

The doting mum cradled her 11-week-old baby boy in her arms as she entered the grounds of St. James’s Palace.

The young royal dozed in his mum’s arms as they greeted the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is understood that Kate said that Louis is just like George.

Kate also told the Archbishop of Canterbury that Louis was sleeping and “very peaceful.” She added: “I hope he stays like this.”

Prince William entered the chapel hand-in-hand with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who looked as adorable as ever.

The siblings waved to the press and greeted the Archbishop as they entered the chapel.

The family-of-five were also joined by Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also attended the celebration. It is understood that the Duke of Sussex purchased a first edition of first-edition of AA Milne's Winnie-The-Pooh as a gift for the young prince.

Members of the Middleton family also attended the service, including Kate’s sister Pippa and Lucy Middleton, who was confirmed as one of Louis’ godmothers.

Two notable members of the royal family were missing from the christening service. Earlier today, it was announced that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip would not be attending the christening of Prince Louis due to the monarch’s hectic schedule.

Love Island lothario Adam Collard caused havoc while in the villa with his women-hopping antics.

And now that he's been booted off the show, it doesn't look like anything's changed.

The Geordie, 22, may have been declaring his love for fellow contestant Zara McDermott, 21, on Aftersun last night, but it looks like he still isn't completely over his former flame Rosie Williams, 26.

Adam and Rosie didn't get off to the smoothest of starts, with the hunk dumping Kendall Rae-Knight to recouple with the Welsh solicitor.

However, things didn't last long between the pair after Zara entered the villa and immediately turned Adam's head.

We didn't see that one coming, said literally no-one.

Watched this one @adamcollard on This Morning

A post shared by ZARA MCDERMOTT (@zara_mcdermott) on

It seemed like Adam and Zara were the Real Deal though, mainly due to the fact that he didn't seem interested in any new girls…probably because no new girls came in before she was kicked out of the villa.

Cynical, us? Never.

However true love does exist everyone, because now that Adam and Zara are both out, they're posting loved up pics on Instagram, like the one below.

Who were we to judge?

I’ve already won..

A post shared by A D A M C O L L A R D (@adamcollard) on

We were gobsmacked to hear the latest goss that he's been sneakily messaging Rosie behind Love-Of-His-Life Zara's back.

It just doesn't sound like him, does it?

According to The Mirror, "it just shows what a rat he is. Rosie cannot believe he's got in touch when he's been banging on about Zara."

A rep for Adam was quick to quash any whispers of a romantic reunion, stating that he was simply ''wishing her 'good luck' and with a view to 'staying friends'.'' Hmmm.

If we were Zara we wouldn't be going overboard with those romantic Insta snaps just yet….

Conor McGregor is turning 30 soon, and a Lithuanian artist decided that the only way to mark the fighter's milestone birthday was to create a special sculpture.

And by special we mean a handcrafted, hyperrealistic, life-sized sculpture.

Edgar Askelovic, also known as Aspencrow, spent five months meticulously handcrafting the 100kg sculpture from photographs alone, using top quality platinum silicone and marble powder.

The Birmingham-based artist used eerily realistic, UV- resistant Polyurethane Resin to make the eyes and real hair for McGregor's trademark crop cut and beard.

The life-sized piece titled ATLAS is worth £50,000 and shows the UFC fighter bursting out of a block of marble. It will be gifted to the dad-of-one on his birthday and is part of an edition of three unique variations of the piece.

The two other sculptures will be sold by JD Malat Gallery, where it will be on view to the public as part of their summer exhibition from 14 July until 30 September.

“It is an honour that Conor has accepted this as a gift from me. He is a phenomenon of our time – not just a smart athlete, but also a visionary," Aspencrow said.

“To create the piece, I looked back to antiquity, when athletes were immortalised in sculptures as gods. And I combined some details from a Michelangelo statue with modern day graffiti to capture the present day's warrior sensibilities.

“People of our generation grew up on graffiti and hooliganism, so I’ve displayed part of his tattoos on his back in graffiti.

"I share his belief: 'Talent does not exist. This is hard work and obsession'."

The sculpture will be unveiled at Mayfair’s JD Malat Gallery on 14 July – the UFC legend’s 30th birthday.

“I am pleased to work with such a talented, young sculptor. He works alone and each new piece is a masterpiece, from the plinth to the hyperrealistic eyes," the gallery’s founder, dealer and curator, Jean-David Malat said.

And in fairness, it is pretty incredible!

One of our favourite jewellery designers, Chupi Sweetman, has said that she is "overwhelmed and incredibly happy" after winning the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award at the prestigious UK Jewellery Awards 2018.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit category was awarded for the first time this year, to recognise an inspiring individual who has shown great determination, leadership and ambition to build a successful business.

“I’m utterly overwhelmed and incredibly happy to win the Entrepreneurial Spirit award," Chupi, who founded Chupi in 2013, said after the event.

"It was surreal to be at the event surrounded by some of the most brilliant designers from around the world – I felt lucky just to be shortlisted but to win was something really special."

Talking about her dream to make "beautiful jewellery" in Ireland, Chupi admitted that many people thought she was crazy when she first started out.

However, after her big win on Wednesday, the designer, whose inspiration comes from the imperfect beauty of wild and natural things like feathers and twigs, admits that her dream now feels real.

"Everyone thought I was crazy, but standing on stage in London, winning our first international award, it all feels so incredibly real, and it’s all thanks to the love and support of our customers.”

The annual awards night took place at London’s Artillery Gardens on Wednesday 4 July, seeing more than 700 members of the watch and jewellery world come together to celebrate the industry’s achievements over the past 12 months.

Well done, Chupi – we're absolutely delighted for you.

Following the national hosepipe ban which came into effect on Friday, the Irish Independent reports that Irish Water has said it will take a number of days to gauge any difference it may have made.

Irish water has said they expect the nationwide hosepipe ban will have improved improve water conservation, but that it was too soon to tell exactly how much at this point.

The national ban was due to remain in place until the end of July, but reports are saying that this could be extended further, depending on the amount of rain due to fall in the coming weeks.

A high-level meeting of senior management will take place today to discuss if further restrictions are required with more updates expected this afternoon, according to Independent.ie.

Irish Water said it is looking at the issue on a "day-to-day" basis with demand still at a critical level with high temperatures set to continue.

A national ban on using hosepipes for watering gardens, washing cars or filling paddling pools or ponds will help conserve the supplies we currently have.

Legally Irish water can introduce the ban under section 56 (16) of the Water Services Act 2007.

Anyone found ignoring the regulation could face a €125 fine. While most have complied with it so far, the utility reports around 40 complaints have been made so far of those not complying with it.

Irish water has said they are "really grateful" to those that have complied with the ban so far and urged people to continue to do so.

Kylie Jenner is known for many things.

Her lip gloss range, her reality TV show, the fact that she's part of one of the most famous showbiz families on the planet…oh and her now-iconic full pout.

While she initially denied having anything done to her lips, she admitted all in 2017 on her show Life of Kylie

She told Complex magazine at the time that, ''it has been an insecurity of mine all my life. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”

Explaining why she had originally lied about the cosmetic work, she explained that she had panicked.

''What are all those moms going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn't’ want to be a bad influence. I didn't’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself.''

However, it seems that she has had a change of heart.

She posted an image of herself with what looks like her old lips.

Her 110 million followers were quick to notice, with some commenting, ''even more beautiful now you’ve took them out. Natural is beautiful'' and ''so totally beautiful …The natural look is so good.''

In the past, she admitted that she might have gotten carried away with the injections.

“When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far.”

While people were purely speculating about the Insta snaps at first, Kylie then confirmed her different look by saying, ''I got rid of all my filler'' followed by worried emojis.

Kyle recently spoke about how her baby Stormi had not inherited her lips, but has big beautiful eyes.

She told friend Jordyn Woods during a YouTube Q&A that, ''she has the biggest eyes ever. The one thing I was insecure about, she has. She has the most perfect lips in the whole entire world. She ain't get those from me. Thank her dad for those.''
