A baby dolphin has died after tourists in Argentina pulled it from the sea to take pictures with it.

In an amateur video, the sea creature can be seen lying in the shallow waters of a beach, with people touching it and pulling at it.

The footage was taken on Sunday last, in San Bernardo del Tuyú in the Buenos Aires province.

An onlooker told C5N: "It was small and it came close to the shore. They could have put it back in the sea—in fact, it was breathing—but they all started taking photos and touching it."

"They said it was already dead."

A similar incident happened last year on Santa Teresita beach, also in Argentina, where a dolphin was pulled from the sea and died of dehydration while being passed around by visitors.

Kim Kardashian has had a triumphant return to social media, now regularly updating her Snapchat and Instagram with photos of her life.

One thing she often shares is her glam routine, and a certain set of elaborate nails really caught our attention recently.

The star uploaded a video showing off her freshly pierced nails, each complete with two or three gold hoops.

The pierced nail look definitely isn't new, but Kim's extreme take on the style is pretty note worthy.

The reality TV queen has been a little obsessed with piercing lately, regularly wearing a fake diamond hoop on her lower lip.

However, we can't help but think of all the things that would suddenly be a major struggle if we adorned our finger tips with jingly hoops.

Buttoning up a shirt would be extremely inconvenient, as would running your fingers through your hair or applying fake eyelashes.

And there's no way you would be able to do something finicky like put in actual hoop earrings.

While the look is pretty cool for a fashion show or a photo shoot, it might not be all that practical for real life.

However, some of the pierced nail looks dotted around Instagram showcase a more subtle take on the trend, one that we could consider getting behind.

Although some of them remind us of those phone charms everyone used to add to their old Nokias, the look is cute if impractical.

Here's a few of our faves.

Earlier this week, we reported on legislation which sought to decriminalise certain forms of domestic violence in Russia.

At the time of writing, the proposal was making its way through Russian parliament.

It was awaiting second approval from the lower house before being approved by the upper chamber and receiving sign-off from president Vladimir Putin.

And according to emerging reports this afternoon, the legislation has now been passed.

While it does still await official approval from both the upper chamber and the president, it is understood that theses processes are considered mere formalities, and having been approved for a second time, the legislation will now become law.

It has been established that the State Duma voted 380-3 to eliminate criminal liability for battery on family members which does not cause actual bodily harm.

This development means that battering a spouse will only become punishable by either a fine of less than $500, a nominal 15 days of 'administrative arrest', or community service.

President Putin has signalled his support of the controversial bill.

There's nothing quite as harsh as a younger friend or relative telling you "wow you're old!"

And all because we were getting reminiscent about the pre-recession days and simpler times that they missed out on.

From the end of free plastic bags to radiation scares involving Nokia 3310s, here are some of our fondest memories.

1. The Euro

Try explaining to younger siblings that we once had to change our money EVERY time we went abroad.

To be fair, a single currency has made travelling so much easier!

2. The smoking ban

Banning smoking in pubs caused mass hysteria as Irish social life pretty much revolves around alcohol.

But we took it in our stride and used smoking areas as yet another way to socialise.

Many friendships and relationships have blossomed in smoking areas since…

3. The end of free plastic bags

We would NEVER go to the supermarket without a plastic bag these days!

Yet we somehow have an entire cupboard full of reusable bags…

4.Dial up Internet

These days every kid has an iPad and can't relate to the struggles of prioritising phone calls (on the land line) over MSN time.

Don't waste your time trying to explain MSN, you'll just get teenage attitude.

5. The Spire

The giant spike acts as an unofficial meeting place and point of reference for lost tourists. It even has it's own Twitter account!

Kind of hard to imagine Dublin without it now…

6. Nokia 3310's

Officially the best phone ever!

We didn't have group chats or Tinder but we did have Snake and an industrial strength battery.

Text bundles were crucial and there was unfounded panic about our brains being fried by radiation. Ah simpler times….

7. The Luas

2004 was an exciting time to be alive, modern light-rail transport for Dublin!

We're not going to be known internationally as "the country with awful public transport" anymore!

Yeah right, 13 years later and half the city is being excavated to connect the Luas lines…

We all have our favourite things that are unique to Dublin.

Be it avoiding eye-contact with women selling strawberries on Henry Street to taking joy in the smooth and dulcet cries of the giant mutant sea gulls who marauder bin to bin, the hashtag #JustDublinThings is slowly taking off as the perfect place to air your very Dublin thoughts.

The hashtag is a play on the #JustGirlyThings, where women tweet about the realities of of being female.

So how many of these Dublin-based woes and wonders can you reate to?

1. The romantic ambience that Dublin eludes…

2. Commuter troubles abound.

3. Getting one up on petty criminals.

4. What would Dublin be without it's amusing automotive instances.

5. Ah, the polite enthusiasm of a Dublin crowd.

6. While we may curse the public transport, the commuter professionals are at least kind.

7. The origins of a true Dub's take-no-s*** attitude.

8. Because even if the streets aren't safe, it least their clean.

9. And of course what would the city be without it's *ahem* colourful charectors.

10. Very colourful.

While we may stock up on all our normal under garments at Penneys (those fluffy socks though) they aren't always the sexiest.

However, lots of lovely, lacy lingerie has just hit the high street bargain store with the release of their Valentine's Day collection.

 Bralette €10.00, Thong €4.00, Bodysuit €13.00, Bra €10.00, Bottoms €4.00

The collection is pretty racy, so if you're planning on getting up to some boudoir business come February 14, Penneys is the place to get your amorous ensembles.

The red lace pieces scream Agent Provocateur, so getting a top-of-the-range look for an affordable price is well within reach.

Bra, €8.00, Thong, €4.00 (each)

These tattoo bras, worn by the likes of Kendall Jenner at Coachella, are perfectly on the border between sweet and sexy.

Whether you're planning on entertaining or just want something pretty to wear for yourself, this affordable set is perfect.

Bodysuit €13.00, Sheer robe €15.00, Bra €9.00, Bottoms €5.00

Bodysuits are super sexy, so adding this lacy piece to a pair of high-waisted jeans for a night out or date night a la Khloe Kardashian will definitely turn heads.

This sheer robe wont do much to keep out the January and February chill, but we bet it looks amazing draped over a matching lingerie set, for that bit of extra coverage.

Cami sleep set €8.00, Shirt sleep set €7.00

Not planning on seeing any other halves or just can't be arsed with the whole lingerie thing?

Never fear, a cute pyjama set is perfect for couples having a cuddle on the couch or for singletons avoiding the night all together.

Now we have the outfits sorted, it's time to plan the actual night itself, single or taken.

According to the results of a new study, 15 per cent of Irish women, who participated in a national screening programme, tested positive for Human Papillomavirus – a virus which is known to cause cervical cancer.

Of the 6,000 women who participated in the programme, which was funded by the Health Research Board, one in six carried traces of the virus.

According to The Irish Times, however, just five per cent of those who tested positive carried the two subtypes which are generally associated with cases of the disease.

Commenting on the results, John O’Leary, professor of pathology at Trinity College, explained that the results were actually in keeping with similar studies conducted in other countries, and were not a source of undue concern.

While most strains of the virus are low-risk, some are responsible for causing changes to cervical cells which can, in some cases, lead to a cancer diagnosis.

It has been established that women under the age of 30 are most likely to test positive for HPV, with one quarter presenting with DNA of the virus.

The interim results of the pilot screening will be discussed at a symposium in Dublin later today.

It happens in every office, you spend your days battling erratic weather conditions owing to the heating system.

An endless cycle of being either too hot, or too cold, politely asking if the setting can be adjusted, AGAIN.

You either end up swimming in a pool of sweat, that leaves you feeling like you’re burning from the inside out, or freezing to the bone, so you can't feel your fingers tapping the keyboard anymore.

Then the heating goes back up, and five minutes later you’re melting onto the desk, having worn your woolly jumper today… because it was freezing yesterday.

You wait until said colleague has left the immediately surround area and then fly like a Ninja to adjust the settings.

Here are the five very real stages of falling out with your coworker over the heating…

1. You spend your day throwing daggers into your unsuspecting colleague’s back, because the conditions are so unbearable.

2. Or diving into the fridge to cool down…

3. Olaf has nothing on you!

4. You eventually develop Ninja skills just to get near the thermostat.

5. Momentary relief when the temperature is – finally! – just right (yeah that won't last).
