With Halloween just five short weeks away, it’s time to go on the hunt for the perfect spooky look for the season. That’s why we couldn’t be happier to hear that Disney has brought out an inclusive range of dress-up costumes for wheelchair users.

The new range includes a sparkling Cinderella dress, a dapper Buzz Lightyear costume and a Super Suit from The Incredibles, complete with your very own wheelchair-friendly Incredimobile.

Source: shopdisney.com

All of the costumes are specially designed to be perfectly adaptable for wheelchair users, by using stretchy fabric and hidden flaps. “Cinderella's arrival will grace any royal ball in this elegant adaptive costume, which features an opening at the back and a discreet flap in the front center for easy tube access,” Disney describes on their website.

“With a ‘Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,’ our glittering gown, detailed in silver foil filigree, stardusted skirts, organza trims, and a bejeweled cameo, is an enchanting dress-up dream.”

The range comes with two options for wheelchair covers, including a princess carriage and an Incredimobile car. These come with supportive plastic piping pieces for added stability, and fit most wheelchairs with 24-inch wheels. Although, Disney warns that the wheelchair must be operated by a helper when the costume is attached and it’s not to be used with battery powered wheelchairs.

The range is available on shopdisney.com starting at $49.99.

Netflix announced the full cast list for their remake of Disney’s Pinocchio and it’s even better then what we were hoping for!

Oscar-winner, Guillermo del Toro, will write, produce and direct, along with Mark Gustafson of Fantastic Mr. Fox, with the animated musical due to be released in 2021.  Acting newbie, Gregory Mann, is set to play the lead role, wooden puppet-turned real boy, Pinocchio.

However, the rest of the cast include some pretty well-known Hollywood names, including critically-acclaimed actor, Ewan McGregor, who will play the role of Jiminy Cricket, and David Bradley, known as Filch in Harry Potter, will play the puppet-maker, Geppetto.

Other cast members include Stranger Things star, Finn Wolfhard, Oscar-winner, Tilda Swinton, Christoph Walz and Cate Blanchett. Plus, The Batman’s John Turturro, Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman, Watchmen’s Tim Blake Nelson and Burn Gorman of Enola Holmes, are all a part of this star-studded cast.

According to Netflix, the remake is set during the rise of fascism in Mussolini’s Italy. It’s a story of love and disobedience, as Pinocchio struggles to live up to his father’s expectations.

“After years of pursuing this dream project, I found my perfect partner in Netflix,” del Toro said to Deadline. “We have spent a long time curating a remarkable cast and crew and have been blessed by continuous support from Netflix to quietly and carefully soldier on, barely missing a beat. We all love and practice animation with great passion and believe it to be the ideal medium to retell this classic story in a completely new way,” he remarked.

We can also relax knowing the musical’s score is in good hands, with Academy-Award winning composer, Alexandre Desplat running point.

Could it be true? Miley Cyrus once again gives us hope that a reboot for her Disney series, Hannah Montana, could be coming down the line.

Miley spoke about the possibility of a reboot to Carolina Bermudez in an interview on Carolina With Greg T In The Morning. When asked what the chances were of Cyrus portraying Hannah Montana again in a reboot, or if she could ever see herself doing a TV series again, Miley responded:

“You know what honestly, I try to put that wig on all the time. She's just in storage collecting dust and I'm ready to whip her out… The opportunity will present itself. I definitely would like to resurrect her at some point. She needs a big makeover because she's kinda stuck in 2008, so we'll need to go shopping with Miss Montana. And also yeah I'd love to do a series again. I think it would be hard for me to get locked into a sound-stage for a couple years, but that's sometime in the future and hopefully I'm directing it.”

This is exactly the glimmer of hope we needed today. We can’t wait for the gang to get back together for a good, old, Disney channel reunion.

Since launching her career on the Disney show, Hannah Montana, in 2006 with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus; a show all about a teen pop star who lives a double-life; Miley has gone on to pursue a successful career as a singer-songwriter, actress and record producer. Most recently she released a new single, called Midnight Sky.

It seems our High School Musical heartthrob, Zac Efron, is going back to his Disney roots, starring in a remake of the 1980’s classic, Three Men and a Baby.

It was revealed on The Hollywood Reporter that the remake is intended for Disney+, the hugely popular, family-friendly streaming service, with Disney’s live-action division running point. Producing the film will be Gordon Gray, who’s best-known for his gripping sports dramas, such as The Rookie or more recently The Way Back, which starred Ben Afleck.

It has yet to be revealed which character Efron will be playing, or who his co-stars will be. One thing is certain though — whoever they are, they’ll have big shoes to fill. The original 1987 family-comedy brought together some of Hollywood’s best actors of the era, featuring Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson. Directed by Leonard Nimoy, the film turned into a big success, becoming the first live-action Disney film to cross the $100 million mark in the US.

The film follows three men living in New York, as they unexpectedly find themselves caring for a little baby. Of course shenanigans ensue and mysteries unfold, resulting in a highly entertaining flick for the whole family to enjoy. Following the film's success,  a sequel was released in 1990, titled Three Men and a Little Lady

Zac's return to Disney will be a big change from some of the more serious projects which he's been involved with in recent years. Most recently, you can find Zac Efron on Netflix, in a documentary series, which he also executive produced, called Down to Earth, where he tours the world and explores methods sustainability.

Ever since we were kids, we got an advent calendar to start the countdown to Christmas. On December 1, we’d tear off the tinfoil on the first door to discover a little piece of chocolate. It’s a tradition that has always been part of Christmas, in some way, shape or form.

As we got older, we started to buy beauty advent calendars, finding mini lipsticks and hand creams behind each door.

However, we’ve now found the dream advent calendar and it’s currently on sale.

Boots has restocked the adorable Disney Ladies Ankle Socks Advent Calendar and we need to buy one ASAP.

The calendar was swiped up when it was first released and we’re not one bit surprised.

Disney character socks may not be the most stylish choice but they are just too cute.

The 12 Socks of Christmas set features characters like Dumbo, Belle, Olaf, Tinkerbell and Bambi.

The Cruella de Vil socks have to be our favourite. She is the greatest Disney villain after all.

The calendar is currently on sale for Black Friday so make sure you pick one up before they’re all gone. There’s no doubt this delight will sell out super quickly.

The 12 Socks of Christmas calendar is €26.66 and you can buy on here.

Disney has finally found their Prince Eric!

The live-action remake of The Little Mermaid has been looking for their perfect Prince Eric for what feels like forever and they have finally cast Jonah Hauer-King as the dashing sailor.

According to Deadline, the actor, who has starred in Little Women and World On Fire, won the role over Cameron Cuffe.

Apparently it was a close call for the casting director but the British actor pipped Cameron to the post.

Harry Styles was also considered for the role but the Lights Up singer declined the part in the live-action movie because he is focusing on his music career.

The musician spoke to Capital Breakfast about why he didn’t accept the part, “I had, you know, a meeting with Rob Marshall the director, who is the most wonderful man, he’s great. And it was just, honestly, it was just a few things.”

The team have yet to cast King Triton but Javier Bardem is a contender.

The Little Mermaid remake is certainly going to be better than we expected thanks to this stellar cast.

Nothing makes us feel better than a classic Disney movie. The nostalgic feelings they conjure up always cheer us up when we’re down, which is why we are so excited about Disney+.

The streaming service of our dreams is launching in the US this month but it looks like Ireland and the UK will be waiting quite some time to avail of the services.

According to Disney, the streaming service will be available here on March 31, 2020. It’s disappointing news but patience is a virtue.

The service is set to be beyond impressive with hundreds of classic Disney movies, old-school TV shows and all of the beloved High School Musical movies available to watch to your heart’s content.

We are more than ready to sob over The Lion King, swoon over Zac Efron and cringe at the style in Lizzie McGuire.

As well as Disney delights, the streaming service will also host a heap of Marvel movies, which we’re awfully excited to re-watch.

The Lizzie McGuire reboot will also be on the service, which means we are 100 percent subscribing to it once it is launched next spring.

For now, we’ll just have to dig out our old Disney DVDs and try to figure out how to use the rusty DVD player again.

Roll on March 31, 2020.

We are a little bit too excited about the Lizzie McGuire reboot, especially after Hilary Duff posted a behind-the-scenes snap.

The actress has started filming the series in none other than the Big Apple and she looks incredible.

Hilary took to Instagram to mark the first day of filming. Hilary wore a yellow and black houndstooth two piece (which we NEED) and a mustard coat for the first day of filming. The actress was full of smiles as she posed on the set of the Disney+ production.

"I think to myself, where can we go? What are the struggles of a 30-year-old right now? What are the pressures that life throws in front of a woman who is 30 and doesn't have all the things yet?

“Maybe there is something bad happening on her 30th birthday in the first episode? Maybe she's going to be in her childhood bedroom in the first episode? I don't know! There's all this fun! We want to give fans what they want, but we also want to have a completely new show,” she added.

The Lizzie McGuire reboot is expected to air on Disney's new streaming service, Disney+ in 2020.

Disney have released another trailer for the live action remake of Lady and the Tramp and we have goosebumps. The classic Disney tale is one of our all time favourites so it’s safe to say we’re very excited about the pending release.

Directed by Charlie Bean, produced by Bringham Taylor and written by Andrew Bujalski, this live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp is bound get tails wagging when it airs in November.

This time, the small screen will have the honour of bringing us this widely anticipated film and thankfully, us Disney-dog-lovers won’t have to wait too long. On November 12, 2019, the film will be available on #Disney+, the new streaming platform set to compete with the likes of Netflix and Hayu.

The cast of the live action Lady and the Tramp is better than we could’ve expected with Tessa Thompson voicing Lady and Justin Theroux voicing Tramp.

A Star is Born’s Sam Elliot will be voicing Trusty, the trustworthy bloodhound with no sense of smell, a character who plays a key role in the rescue of Tramp from the dogcatcher.

The hilarious Ashley Jensen will voice Jock, the Scottish terrier who lives next door to Lady. We are super excited for this gender swap, as Jensen’s gorgeous Scottish twang seems made for the role of Jock.

Adding to this star-studded cast is Benedict Wong, who will lend his voice to Bull, the adorable Bulldog from the pound.

The icon that is Janelle Monáe will be taking on the legendary song He’s a Tramp, originally sung by Peggy Lee in the 1955 animation. Janelle Monáe voice seems ideal for the sultry Tibetan spaniel, Peg who sings the song to Lady when she spends a night in the pound.

We are a little bit too excited about the Lizzie McGuire reboot, but the original show played such a huge part in our younger years so can you blame us? Lizzie was like the cool older sister we always wanted and now she is back to help guide us through adulthood.

Star of the hit Disney series, Hilary Duff opened up about the new show and it sounds like it is going to be better than ever before.

In an interview with E! News, Hilary dropped a couple of hints about the upcoming episodes.

She said, “I have said this before, but for me coming back when she's 30 and she's not in a marriage and she's not having a baby and she's not doing all the things that I have already done in my life, that story is really exciting for me.”

"I think to myself, where can we go? What are the struggles of a 30-year-old right now? What are the pressures that life throws in front of a woman who is 30 and doesn't have all the things yet?

“And for me, that's Lizzie McGuire, she had those struggles in middle school where she didn't have a place where she fits in and you know always on the struggle bus, but she's also your best friend, and that's exactly what I want to target and hit home again—is being there for girls in this time of their life."

The actress said there are endless opportunities for this new show. Could Lizzie become a mum or maybe she’ll face fertility struggles?

“Maybe there is something bad happening on her 30th birthday in the first episode? Maybe she's going to be in her childhood bedroom in the first episode? I don't know! There's all this fun! We want to give fans what they want, but we also want to have a completely new show,” she added.

Peter Pan is one of our all time favourite Disney movies, but it looks like the classic has some major competition as the story will be reinvented in The Lost Girls.

The film adaption of Laurie Fox’s novel sounds incredible, especially because of the stellar cast involved. Emma Thompson, Ellen Burstyn Gaia Wise will play the leads in this dark version of Peter Pan.

So what is The Lost Girls all about?

Image result for peter pan wendy

In The Lost Girls, Peter Pan is painted as the villain. The boy who never wants to grow up isn’t the charming character we grew up with in this adaption. The Darling girls are all struggling after their adventures with Peter.

Their view of men has been tainted by Peter Pan and they’re desperate to escape the hold he has on them.

Deadline reports, “Like her grandmother (Ellen Burstyn) and her mother Jane (Emma Thompson), Wendy must escape Pan’s hold on her and the promises he desperately wants her to keep. As her daughter Berry (Gaia Wise) comes into Peter’s orbit, Wendy must fight to save her relationship with her daughter while reconciling her legacy.”

Peter will be shown in a completely different light in this movie and we honestly can’t wait to see it. He will be transformed from a charismatic, adventurous character to a selfish and manipulative villain in The Lost Girls.

This corrupted fairytale is going to be one of the greatest movies, especially with queen, Emma Thompson involved. There’s no word on a release date yet but watch this space.
