The amount of people that suffer from headaches is astoundingly mind-numbing. The World Health Organisation estimates that 47 per cent of adults suffer from headaches at least once a year.

Most people think not getting enough sleep or hormonal changes can trigger a sore head, and while they are big factors, there are other sneaky influences that can cause your head to throb too:

1. Zoning out in front of the TV

Relaxing after a stressful day is actually a classic headache trigger. Called the Let Down headache, it usually arises when you let your hair down after a hectic day.

2. Bad weather

A study from the journal Neurology reports that you can get a headache or migraine if the weather is particularly bad. If you're constantly going from the chilly outside, to the heated inside, the temperature change can be a major problem.

3. Your mam (or dad)

According to the Migraine Research Foundation, if one parent suffers from migraines there is a 40 per cent chance their child will suffer too. And if both parents suffer, then the child's chances sky-rocket up to 90 per cent.

4. Switching up your routine

If you're constantly waking up, eating and sleeping at different times every day/week, it can make your head hurt. Try keep a regular routine as much as possible to avoid the pain.

5. Skipping breakfast

Always make sure to grab a bite before you head out in the morning. In a recent study of 1,200 migraine patients, researchers found that missing a meal was the third most common trigger of headaches in females.

6. Your friend's strong perfume

About 95 percent of fragrances are made up of synthetic compounds, one of which is benzyl alcohol. This ingredient can be a major cause of headaches, especially if you are scent-sensitive.

7. Your liking for strong cheese

Yes, we love cheese too, but it might be causing your sore head. Food and drink release neurotransmitters, which can cause headaches in some people. Triggers include caffeine, chocolate, cheese, alcohol and more. Sob.

Designer wardrobes, amazing cars and champagne-fuelled parties. These stars have come a long way from their humble reality TV beginnings, but just how do they afford the A-list lifestyle?

As part of its annual Reality TV's Richest list, The Sun has tallied up what many of the world's most well-known stars are worth – starting with a few you most definitely recognise from your hungover Sunday TV viewing.

Read on, and prepare to feel all the life envy.

Charlotte Crosby – €1.4million

It's been a very successful year indeed for Ms. Crosby, who has seen her worth soar since launching her own fitness DVD off the back of her extreme weight loss. Charlotte's 3 Minute Belly Blitz twice outsold Disney's Frozen in UK DVD sales when it was released late last year.

Add that to a €100k book deal for her autobiography Me Me Me, plus a €70k appearance fee for Ex On The Beach, and you've got a tidy sum building up in Charlotte's bank account. The Geordie Shore star has also appeared on The Xtra Factor, Britain’s Got More Talent, Celebrity Juice, This Morning and The Wright Stuff among other things.

Vicky Pattison – €2.3million

She might count Charlotte among her biggest rivals, but Vicky is definitely taking the lead in the money stakes. As well as a six-figure deal for her own clothing range with style site Honeyz.com, Vicky took home a reported €700k for a three-book deal with the Little Brown Book Group.

The Geordie Shore star has published an autobiography, Nothing But The Truth, plus two fictional novels, All That Glitters and A Christmas Kiss. Like Charlotte, she earned around €70k for her work on Ex On The Beach, and got close to €500,000 for her MTV show, Judge Geordie.

Millie Mackintosh – €4.2million

One half of Britain's most on-trend power couple, Millie wed rapper Professor Green in 2013. Like other entrants, she has raked in quite a bif of cash from her book deal – the Made In Chelsea star's lifestyle and fitness book Made saw her take home around €175k.

She also has her own self-named fashion line which sells via her personal site and on ASOS.com – and according to The Sun it's turning over in excess of €1.5m per year. The stunning blonde is the face of Nib & Fab beauty products and J20 fruit drinks, as well as having worked on campaigns for Pimm’s, St Tropez, Sure, Lipsy and Claire’s.

Gemma Collins – €4.6million

She might not be the most reliable of celebs – who can forget her dramatic exit from I'm A Celebrity... last year, after all – but Gemma certainly knows how to negotiate. Critics laughed when she decided to set up her own plus-size clothing range, but it's now sold via Littlewoods, Evans and her own personal site and generates around €1.7m a year for Emma.

Aside from her ill-fated time on I'm A Celebrity, Gemma also does regular work on This Morning.

Sam Faiers – €6.4million

Expectant mum Sam certainly won't be struggling to kit out her newborn in all the best designer clothes. As well as (you've guessed it) a book deal, Sam also rakes in a huge amount of cash from her various fashion ventures.

Among them is the Essex boutique she launched with her sister Billie, Minnie's Boutique, thought to be earning Sam close to €1.4m in online and in-store sales annually. The TOWIE alum has her own clothes deal with Very too, worth a reported €400,000.

Mark Wright – €7.4million

When your wedding alone earns you over €2million with Hello! you know you're doing well.

Mark's €400k DJing deal with Club Classics helps to play the bills, plus he also pulls in over €10k per club appearance – handy money for a night out. The reality star has recently signed a six-figure deal with Danone, too.

All is fair in love and war, right? Well, Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, doesn't seem to think so.

Nicki's ex-lover has been very critical about the singer in the past and is not shy about airing his anger towards her. Earlier this year he even released a song, Love the Most, in which he explained how unhappy he was that Nicki hid their relationship from the spotlight.

But now the rapper is claiming that he ghostwrote her 2014 album The Pinkprint. TMZ reports that Safaree is planning to sue the popstar for what he believes is his fair share of profits from the album.

According to the website, Safaree is going to present "a boatload of proof" that he was involved in writing Nicki's music, which includes videos, voice memos and eyewitness accounts.

He also claims that Nicki previously acknowledged his work by giving him credit on her first two albums.

Ms Minaj has yet to respond to the reports, but given their previous history, it won't be long until she speaks her mind.

For us ladies, contourng can be seriously complicated. We either get it #onpoint or end up looking like Nicki Minaj gone wrong (and that's certainly NOT a good look).

Stahr Milan is the ultimate king of contouring, and completely transforms his face in a matter of minutes.

But it's not only Stahr that can perfect the look, other guys across the globe can completely change their faces by using the magic of make-up.

So whether you want a chiselled party look or prefer a natural glow, watch these guys because they have contouring down better than the professionals.

Here we look at six guys that can contour WAY better than you:

1. Nick Grand

Nick has been perfecting his contouring skills for years, so it's no wonder he glows from day to day.

2. Brandon Cross

He's the photoshop king, only it's not photoshop that he uses, it's his badass contour skills.

3. Erick Hanson

Erick is the master of blending and turns layers of foundation into the perfect sculpted look.

4. Coen Lamont

Coen has clearly be practising for a long time as he shows two different methods to contouring on his Youtube channel.

5. Will Cook

Will turns into a chiselled, wind-swept goddess in a matter of minutes. Why can't we do the same?!

6. Manny Gutierrez

And if you want to bring some drama into your make-up, watch out for this guy because he has party night make-up down to a fine art.

He's starred alongside Leo DiCaprio in The Revenant, been directed by Angelina Jolie in Unbroken and appears with a stellar Irish cast in Brooklyn.

Domhnall Gleeson has come a long way since the days of playing Ron Weasley's big brother in Harry Potter, but it's this latest project that's finally placed him firmly in the 'A-list' camp.

The Dublin-born actor features in a stunning shoot for the new issue of US Vogue, alongside none other than Victoria's Secret newbie Gigi Hadid.

The pair – who we have to say look VERY good together – were photographed by Mario Testino in the breath-taking surroundings of Porto, Portugal.

Wearing a white Dries Van Noten suit and shirt, Domhnall looks right at home next to a Marc Jacobs-clad Gigi (we never noticed his hair had such VOLUME).

In another shot, Domhnall swaps his shirt for a black one, while Gigi looks typically gorgeous in a €2,500 Dolce & Gabanna lace jumpsuit.

Heck, the actor even manages to make a beige suit look good – albeit a Burberry London one, teamed with a crisp Hérmes shirt.

Vogue are calling the shoot a snapshot of the "perfect winter break," and we're inclined to agree.

Despite his rising fame, Domhnall insists he rarely gets recognised and still manages to keep under the radar of the paps.

Earlier this year he told the Irish Independent he gets spotted "more in Ireland than abroad," and even then it's mainly for work he's done with RTÉ rather than his big name films.

After this Vogue shoot though, we reckon he'll be attracting quite a bit more attention… from the ladies, at least.

Everyone who's anyone seems to know that the ultimate red carpet accessory is a decent set of pearly whites.

Yup, unless you're in possession of a ridiculously smile, your career can really – or so says Hollywood, anyway.

And it is quite amazing how a new set of chompers can totally transform a person's face. Even established names – Tom Cruise, we're looking at you – have opted for major dental work (in his case, back in 2002) to alter a less-than megawatt bite.

Join us while we drool and contemplate getting the braces back on with the most impressive of celebrity teeth transformations.

1) Miley Cyrus

You can’t make lewd gestures with your tongue if you ain’t got the perfect set of teeth.

2) Tom Cruise

Mmm, a buck tooth. What every girl dreams of from a Hollywood heart throb.

3) Niall Horan

A case of right place, right time brought Niall into 1D, and thousands bought him that smile.

4) Gwen Stefani

Gwen is fashion royalty, her braces were arguably not.

5) Zac Efron

We can’t even #toocute

6) Cher Lloyd

Questionable brows distracted from Cher’s perfectly acceptable teeth when she first appeared on X Factor, but this whole transformation is pretty impressive #thepowerofmoney

7) Cheyl Fernandez-Versini

Cheryl was always beautiful, but those pearly whites took her dimpled smile to a new level.

8) Victoria Beckham

Posh is human perfection, good teeth or bad. We all know that.

9) Tulisa

Got teeth done, got voted FHM’s sexiest woman. Go figure.

10) Mathew Lewis

This overall transformation from Neville Longbottom to absolute ride is pretty astonishing but those teeth sure do help. Yum!

So, picture this. It is New York City on New Year's Eve, 1979. Everyone who is anyone has rocked up to infamous nightclub of the stars Studio 54. Frequented by Michael Jackson, Diane Von Furstenberg and Andy Warhol, it was THE only place to be seen on the weekend.

This New Year's Eve party was packed to the rafters and as the clock struck midnight, four TONNES of glitter was dropped onto the dance floor as guests shimmied their way into 1980. For months after the now historic event, if you spotted a few flecks of glitter on the collar of your brunching partner, you knew exactly where they spent their NYE.

Here we have proof, ladies and gents, that glitter is NOT just for kids. YAY.

Don't be afraid to add a little sparkle to your makeup looks this holiday season in a slightly less messy (but equally as glamorous) manner.

1) Make glitter your focal point

Whether it is your eyes, your lips or even perhaps your hair (yep, glitter in hair is officially a thing), make one of these the focal point for your glitter obsession. By applying glitter heavily to the eye area, for example, it is important to leave the lips clean and fresh perhaps with just a light gloss. Glitter is intense to wear so try not to go overboard!

2) Use eyelash glue as adhesive

Eyelash glue is the ideal tool to apply glitter to your face and to make sure it lasts the entire night. Spread some adhesive on a smooth surface and use a tweezers to dip individual specs of glitter into the glue and apply any way you like. The more sparkle the better.

3) Play with colour

When people think glitter, they tend to think silver and gold immediately but this sparkly stuff comes in all different colours. Choose shades that compliment your make up look or highlights accents in your outfit. Looking this good means planning, ya'll.

4) Get Creative

Glitter does not have to dominate your look. Apply shadows and use specs of glitter to add some interest to the eye. Play around with different designs such as a cluster on the outer lid or a strip underneath the lash line. Cute!

5) If actual glitter ain't your thing, opt for intense shimmer

Okay, we get that actual glitter might be a bit too much for some but that does not mean you shouldn't sparkle. Shimmering eye shadows are a super popular way to add that eye opening glisten to the face without actually sticking glitter on it.

So indulge in a super shimmery shadow and apply to the entire eye lid crease. Remember darker shades create striking shadows to the outer corners of the eyes and white or nude shades open the eyes when applied to the inner corners.

Don't mess with Ariel Winter, especially when it comes to her body image.

The 17-year-old actress hit back hard at her critics this week, after an innocent holiday snap she shared to Instagram caused some controversy.

A photo posted by Ariel Winter (@arielwinter) on

Ariel's photo, which showed her smiling on a boat with her two young nieces, didn't go down well with some commenters who said her bikini was too "provocative" and made it look like she was "asking for it."

The Modern Family star, who recently underwent a breast reduction after years of feeling insecure about her body, soon took to social media with a no-holds-barred response.

"Who knew that an innocent photo with my nieces would turn into this?" she wrote next to a photo of a woman's leg marked with words like "slut" and "prudish" to highlight the issue.

"The height of a girl's skirt or whatever she is wearing for that matter, does not imply what she is asking for.

"It sickens me to think at 17 years old, a photo of myself with my nieces is suggesting that I'm 'asking for it.'"

Continuing, Ariel added that she usually never paid heed to negative comments online but she felt body-shaming needed to be addressed,

"I typically never give power to the mean things people bravely say behind their computer screens on the Internet, but this is for the girls who are constantly bullied whether it be online or at school."

Just last week, Ariel showed her support to Ariana Grande after the singer posted a similar message online.

Referencing an Instagram comment which compared Ariel's curves to Ariana's "stick"-like figure, both young stars made it clear they were not okay with pitting women against each other.

"I believe in EMPOWERING other women and not putting them down," Ariel wrote in support of the Problem singer.

We're loving their positive attitude.

Adele's return to the music scene has inspired many others to try their hand at her love song, Hello. It's no easy feat and only a few so far have stood out.

But arguably the most impressive one yet is Demi Lovato's. She performed the hit song during her set at KISS FM's Fall Ball in Seattle and proved to the world that her voice is just as good as Adele's.

With Demi's tour starting in June, we're hoping she sings more show-stoppers like this:

We certainly know how to make the most of a beer garden 'round these parts.

Indeed, if there's a hint of sunshine – even in the depths of winter – hoards of Irish folk are more than happy to transfer outdoors to finish their pints and chats.

Gas heater switched on; an extra geansaí applied; a sturdy disposition: with the right, can-do attitude even freezing temperatures and the occasional sprinkling of rain can be cheerfully endured.

However, we could only shake our heads in wonder when we spotted two particularly hardy chaps finish their beer garden pints… while waist-deep in flood water.

With the nearby river bursting its banks amid heavy rainfall over the weekend, a pair of patrons at the Kirkstall Bridge Inn in Leeds very much took matters into their own hands.

John Kelly and Steve Holt, the plucky individuals in question, run the Kirkstall Brewery that owns the pub. They told BuzzFeed they were "irked by the river’s inconsiderate nature" and decided to reclaim it by taking their beers outside.

And while the water was initially only knee-deep, the flooding continued until it soon reached their waists.

The pair reported afterwards that "the beer was spot on… but we only had a couple". They eventually departed when they "got told off by Steve’s missus and had to get out".

Reckless; dangerous; just a bit of good fun? Well, they're all over social media anyway. And one thing's for sure too – a bit of November beer garden chill doesn't seem so bad now after all.

Kate Moss, style icon and supermodel, has been going against the grain since the beginning of her career. So no one questioned that she would forgo the digital addiction of social media that captures so many of us.

But in fact, Ms Moss has an Instagram account that she's kept hidden for years.

Kate revealed in a recent interview with HELLO! Fashion Monthly that she keeps an IG account for "spying" purposes.

"I don't care about people who post what they're eating or the weather," she said. Instead, the model focuses on what's trending around the world.

"I have to," she admitted, "otherwise I wouldn't know what anyone was talking about."

However, don't expect to see her profile becoming public anytime soon, as she told the magazine that she's not the biggest fan of social media.

#kateMoss. @topshop love you wagon

"I don't have a relationship with [social media] at all. I don't know how to take a good selfie. I'm not good at them." Say what, Kate Moss can't take a selfie?!

Even though Kate keeps her IG private, she's no stranger to the social app. The style star makes regular appearances in the feeds of many models, photographers and designers alike (see snaps above), giving us serious #squadgoal envy.

If you've never owned a Juicy Couture tracksuit, then you definitely knew someone that did.

The high-end sweats with the 'J' zipper was the unofficial uniform of the early naughties – and bonus points if you wore them with Uggs.

The styles came in every colour imaginable and there was even a terrycloth version for hot summer days. And for those of you who really digged the trend probably had the word 'JUICY' written across the bum (classy!).

Yes, whether you were a Hollywood celeb or a secondary school student, these tracksuits were worn and loved across the globe.

But as fashion took on new heights (thanks god), we said goodbye to the Juicy trackie. The outfit that once topped our Christmas lists and symbolised our cool-girl status now clutters the racks of TK Maxx, marked with a glaring SALE sticker.

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London announced a new exhibition that will open in April 2016, named, Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear.

And sitting alongside glorious antique corsets, 18th century bloomers and the sheer naked dress worn by Kate Moss in 1993, is the 2004 version of the Juicy Couture tracksuit. In bubblegum pink, of course.

Our favourite thing to wear ten years ago is now an exhibition piece in a museum. Anybody else feeling old?!
