All is fair in love and war, right? Well, Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, doesn't seem to think so.

Nicki's ex-lover has been very critical about the singer in the past and is not shy about airing his anger towards her. Earlier this year he even released a song, Love the Most, in which he explained how unhappy he was that Nicki hid their relationship from the spotlight.

But now the rapper is claiming that he ghostwrote her 2014 album The Pinkprint. TMZ reports that Safaree is planning to sue the popstar for what he believes is his fair share of profits from the album.

According to the website, Safaree is going to present "a boatload of proof" that he was involved in writing Nicki's music, which includes videos, voice memos and eyewitness accounts.

He also claims that Nicki previously acknowledged his work by giving him credit on her first two albums.

Ms Minaj has yet to respond to the reports, but given their previous history, it won't be long until she speaks her mind.
