We've all stumbled in from a night out and craved every single type of food in the galaxy, but opening hours of these glorious fast food institutions have held us back.

It ain't our fault that we get snacky around midnight, and why should we have to cater our food bingeing needs on time? Well, Deliveroo is here to deliver the answer to this age-old problem on a silver platter.

That's right. The food-delivery service has just announced new and extended delivery hours, so from today in Dublin, Cork and Galway you can now order the likes of Supermacs, Papa John's and KFC to your door as late as 2am.

Bank holiday weekends might mean lie-ins, beer gardens and general laziness to most of us but this one will be different.

We all the know Grand Canal for being a stunning part of Dublin city but it is also covered in litter, affecting the environment and by extension, our planet.

So this Bank Holiday, why not team up with Deliveroo to help with its canal clean-up initiative?

Taking place on Saturday, May 4 at 10am to 6pm the volunteers will get a €10 Deliveroo credit voucher.

Win-win, right?

The initiative, which was a great success in 2018, will be held along Charlemont Mall and aims to get more people involved with clean up activities.

Volunteers are invited to spend a small part of their Saturday picking up rubbish around the canal areas of Charlemont Mall.

Buckets, litter pickers, and gloves will be provided.

With the Bank Holiday Weekend fast approaching, rubbish along the banks of the canal and other public areas will have reached an all-time high.

Deliveroo has taken many strides to reduce its carbon footprint, with the introduction of sustainable, non-plastic, eco-friendly packaging over the past year as well as opt-in cutlery options.

A Spokesperson for Deliveroo said, ''It’s fantastic to see Irish people enjoying this spell of good weather as people eat and drink outdoors, but in doing so we must be respectful of the local environment.”

Sounds great to us, we'll see you there.

Whether your Easter traditions involve a raucous family egg hunt or enjoying the cut-price Easter eggs in the days following the chocolatey celebrations, one thing is for sure: Easter is one indulgent holiday.

Many families go all out and do a big roast dinner to mark the occasion, or simply fill up on delicious chocolate.

To honour the Easter weekend, one popular Mexican mecca on Irish soil is melding the sweet and the savoury into a very intriguing Frankenfood.

The avocado pizza, the cronut, the carrot latte and the unicorn anything dominated the 2017 frankenfood trend charts.

In 2018, we saw the eggs benedict doughnut, the crossushi and salted watermelon.

2019 kicked off with the sushi sandwich, and now another iconic food pairing has been blended.

Boojum has a massive Irish fan base, with their burritos making the 4th most ordered dish globally on Deliveroo in 2018, and the food favourite has risen again to create a bespoke miracle for Easter.

Teaming up with an Easter classic, the Cadbury's Cream Egg, Boojum's speciality team at Quesadillas by Boojum have collaborated to concoct the Cadbury's Cream Egg Quesadilla.

The traditional Mexican flat bread has been reimagined to host the sweet treat, as well as a generous helping of the sumptuous Cream Egg goo poured over top. Is that the unmistakable sound of growling stomachs we hear?

Joe Groves at Deliveroo says: It is a privilege to partner with the amazing team at Quesadillas by Boojum to bring this bizarre creation directly to our customers’ doorsteps or desks.'

'Two things we absolutely love in Ireland are Boojum and chocolate, and since our creativity knows no bounds, we thought, ‘why not bring these two together?' they finished.

If this sounds like something that would be right up your alley, here's how to get your hands on one:

The Creme Egg Quesadillas will be available exclusively from the Deliveroo app or website during Easter.

They launch on Wednesday, April 17th and are available to order up until Easter weekend – with Quesadillas by Boojum of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Belfast and Derry all participating.

If you're not feeling like cooking over Easter, this could be the perfect treat to satiate the salivating family you might have around, or if you will be spending the holiday solo, it could be ideal for a quiet night in foodie experience.

The dish is priced at €9.50 (ROI) and £7.50 (NI) respectively – happy hunting.

It's the day of Barry White and overpriced roses…Happy Valentines Day ya'll.

And if anyone's thinking of having a seductive night in with your other half (or better yet, yourself) then we have good news for you.

Deliveroo is teaming up with Scoop on Aungier Street to create a limited edition Valentine’s Day aphrodisiac ice -cream.

Yes, you read that right: aphrodisiac.

This flavoursome, libido-enhancing ice-cream is aptly name ‘Ice Scream’ and is available from exclusively from the Deliveroo app or website for one day only on February 14.

SO GET ORDERIN' LADS.

Oysters are notoriously famous for getting us in the mood *wink wink* and were made famous by Casanova, the 18th-century lover, who used to devour 50 oysters for breakfast a day.

Oysters and champagne have been traditionally associated with having aphrodisiac properties, so whether it’s for love or lust – this ice cream is much to be desired.

Bobby Burns at Deliveroo said, “This Valentine’s Day, we intend to play Cupid for those looking to embrace the holiday of love to the fullest extent.

He continued, ''We’re very happy to work with Scoop, who share our passion for pushing boundaries with innovative and delicious treats.''

So what are you waiting for?

We know what we'll be stocking up on tonight – happy day of romance one and all.

January has almost drawn to a close, and if you managed to maintain your healthy eating resolution, fair play to you.

You weren't alone, with Deliveroo seeing a 63% increase in the number of healthy orders made to offices for lunch across Ireland, particularly in Dublin and Cork.

According to data accumulated by the foodie app, certain careers enjoy particular cuisines the most:

Work in Finance? You might enjoy a standard lunch.

Deliveroo found that accountancy employees order classic sandwiches and wraps, while their investment services counterparts are a tad more adventurous, enjoying halloumi and grain salads, focaccia and artisan sandwiches. Swit swoo.

Business and Consultancy workers tend to like a protein packed lunch with lean meats. This sector orders mainly from modern Greek restaurants.

Tech workers seem to enjoy the taste of Asian cuisine, ordering mainly Japanese foods such as sushi, ramen and noodles.

Advertising and Marketing employees are focused on a vitamin-infused breakfast, ordering double the amount of juices and smoothies versus any other profession.

They also favour brunch over lunch ordering egg pots, avocado toast, acai bowls or yoghurts, often in bulk for those morning meetings.

Engineering workers on the other hand, crave a good carby Italian to get them through the afternoon, ordering the most pizza and pasta out of all the professions. Delish.

According to Deliveroo, those working in the Law sector make the most amendments to their lunch orders and love a good salad, just add extra chicken, remove the bread and give them extra sauce.

Whether you're avoiding sweet treating, ditching the booze or trying your hand at Veganuary, well done you if the integrity of your New Year's Resolution has remained intact.

However, we regret to inform you that tomorrow is the day that most people fall of the wagon.

According to Deliveroo, on Wednesday they are set to see a significant jump in orders of alcohol and sweet treats – hardly a coincidence?

17 days without gin and tonics or refined sugars is enough of a detox for us, thanks.

The exact time people give into temptation is in the magic half hour marker of 18.34pm.

When it comes to booze, Deliveroo saw a spike of 67% in prosecco, wine and beer orders during December but demand plummeted by 49% from January 1st, with many deciding to take part in Dry January.

Though it seems that two weeks, one day, eighteen hours and thirty four minutes is enough for Irish January teetotalers.

Veganuary is particularly popular this year, and those who partake seem to have more willpower than their alcohol or sugar abstaining resolutioners.

On average, Irish participants of the plant-based effort last the entire month.

Deliveroo reports a whopping 203% increase in the number of vegan dishes ordered on Deliveroo in comparison with January 2018.

However, last February there was an increase of 53% in burger orders as many went back to their omnivore diet. Deliveroo predicts another increase this February 1st, when Veganuary ends.

Whether you're ready to throw in the towel right now or have disbanded your resolution days ago, we have to say that one evening of indulgence won't ruin the entire diet and exercise plan you have going on.

However, if you manage to soldier on through the day of retracted resolutions with your's intact, then fair play.

We know what we'll be choosing… *opens Deliveroo app*

Veganuary is in full swing, where individuals challenge themselves to adopt a vegan diet for the first month of the new year.

Veganism has become pretty popular these days, with the number of vegans in the UK rising by 360 per cent in the last 10 years, according to a recent study by The Vegan Society.

With this in mind, we're sure there are plenty of Irish people willing to try the vegan lifestyle, which strictly prohibits the consumption of any animal by-products.

Veganism has been cited to improve the health, aid weight loss and be better for the environment than a carnivorous diet according to its followers.

Deliveroo has reported that orders of vegan takeaways have increased by 203% on last year.

'December’s excesses mean that we all often spend January trying to make more conscientious decisions when it comes to food' said Bobby Burns at Deliveroo.

'Each year there’s pressure to create and follow a new year’s resolution. Deliveroo makes it easy by offering healthy food choices, making it easy to stick to those changes.'

Deliveroo is encouraging curry lovers to give The Garden of Vegan's new offering a go. A comforting vegan curry consisting of chickpeas, lentils, sweetcorn, and roasted potato, cooked with cumin seeds and tumeric is on the menu courtesy of the Ranelagh based restaurant.

It's also National Chicken Curry Day on 12th January, so if you needed another excuse there you have it.

Yesterday, the first day of the New Year, was a tough one for many.

Yes, there is the impending expanse of 2019 to consider, but also, the raging hangover that enveloped the country after a heavy night bidding farewell to 2018.

Despite clean eating intentions for the new year that many probably strive to have, January 1st is a cheat day, as Deliveroo saw orders jump 159% across the country.

This is a record high, seeing more orders placed in a single day than ever before.

So, what did the nation fancy?

Well taking the top spot for the most orders country-wide was Five Guys, Dublin, who's Bacon Cheeseburger was the dish of the day for many a hungover soul.

In second place was the Burrito from Burritos & Blues, Cork, and in third place, the staple favourite Doner Kebab from Abrakebabra, Limerick.

Galway took the fourth spot, with the award winning Spice Bag from Xian Street Food, and in fifth was the Steak Burger from Build-a-Burger, Belfast.

We could honestly go for all of those right now…

We know Ireland has an obsession with burritos, but this is still a major deal given our population.

Boojum has some of the world's most loyal customers as their burrito came in at an impressive fourth place in this year’s overall top ten dishes on Deliveroo around the world.

Flex those burrito muscles, as the dish bet off the likes of Bubble Tea from Hong Kong and a Poke Bowl from Amsterdam.

Overall, our nation is a clear lover of takeaway as we were featured eight times in the top 10 dishes ordered in 2018 around the world.

Seven of the eight restaurants were based in Dublin, the other one was a Satay (wok dish) from Xian Street Food, Galway.

So it seems the capital of the country enjoy nothing more than ordering their FAVE meal from the delivery service.

Although a firm FAVE during last year was pizza, which remained a top choice for food delivery around the world with five appearing in the top 100.

Looks like we'll have to have a burrito in celebration of Boojum's success – well done, lads.

Our relationship with food is always evolving and we always look forward to locking our lips around something new.

The good people at Deliveroo have assembled to predict five food trends that will dominate our plates for 2019.

Based on their food expertise – the future of food looks vegan, low-waste and drool worthy.

1. Healthy Frozen Savouries

Clearly the lovely people of Ireland have ignored any advice of avoiding avocado in order to afford a house, as the food platform has seen a massive demand for the tasty fruit and of course, the food God that is hummus.

But for next year, it looks like we will be tucking into savoury and healthy ice creams, but it'll be vegan and veggie variations that we will be obsessing over.

2. Root to Tip Cooking

The sense of urgency to reduce our food waste is a prominent problem on our minds this year and the conscious eco-effort is being brought into the new year.

Root to Tip Cooking, involving the use of the full vegetable is a method of days gone by but will return and bring cooking back to basics.

Deliveroo predicts that restaurant partners on the platform will introduce innovative ways to reduce daily waste, by using the likes of root vegetable leaves to make tasty and flavoursome pestos to accompany dishes – big high five for this one.

3. Fermented Food and Drink

They're good for your gut and they've been popping up all over the place in the last 12 months.

Their popularity has been seen by the food delivery service with the rise of pickles and sauerkraut.

Breaking through the fermentation process for 2019 will be more orders and variety of kombucha – AKA the holy drink for the ole gut.

4. Flexitarianism

The vegans are coming and nothing is stopping their rise. Vegan-friendly options have exploded on Deliveroo, increasing by 100 percent.

73 percent more vegan orders were placed on the platform in 2018.

And it looks like it isn't slowing down any time soon, as Deliveroo predicts an increase in Flexitarianism, where customers will dip in and out of meat dishes in favour of #MeatlessMonday and #GreenSunday.

5. Sea Snacks

According to global trend forecasters, sea vegetables and greens will become a regular addition to diets next year.

Get ready to tuck into kelp noodles to puffed savoury snacks made with algae.

And it doesn't come as a huge surprise as they've already seen an increase of 59 percent in seafood orders.

The Grand Canal is the perfect place to watch the world go by and soak up the sun with a beer or two.

However, no one wants to chill-out in an area that is covered in rubbish – and, wow, was that place left in a right state a few weeks ago.

So in a bid to clean up the area, Deliveroo are hosting a canal cleanup on Saturday, August 4th.

Following on from their recent launch of their extreme kayak delivery, Deliveroo is inviting volunteers and passersby to give up a few minutes of their Saturday to clean the areas around the much loved Grand Canal.

Deliveroo will give out buckets, gloves and litter pickers to participants, and those who return buckets filled with rubbish will be rewarded for their efforts with Deliveroo Credit to enjoy some great food.

"It’s rare that we get this much sunshine in Ireland," Deliveroo Spokesperson Bobby Burns said.

"These moments are special and deserve amazing food and drink to go with them but it’s equally important to safeguard the local environment and play our part in ensuring we keep the Grand Canal clean."

Today's announcement is the latest step in Deliveroo’s commitment to ensure that great food can be enjoyed in a sustainable manner.

It follows measures announced earlier this year designed to reduce the amount of plastic packaging used when delivering takeaway meals, including immediate steps to curb plastic cutlery use.

*Weather permitting. Check out Deliveroo social channels for updates.

The last thing you want to do on the weekend is slave away in the kitchen like Cinderella. We can't help but daydream about going out for brunch or dining at that fancy new Italian restaurant your colleague has been raving about, but sadly our bank accounts won’t allow it.

Every restaurant on Deliveroo in Ireland will be taking part in this special free delivery deal across Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast over the two days.

Liam Cox, General Manager of Deliveroo Ireland shared: “We’re thrilled to be able to give our loyal customers the opportunity to take advantage of our free delivery offer."

He hopes this offer will encourage people to try new food: “I'm hoping this will encourage more people to want to try out some of their favourite local delicacies, so there’s no reason not to indulge!”

We will certainly be treating ourselves this weekend thanks to Deliveroo.

Why not make the most of this offer and gather up your friends for a night-in. You could all order your favourite dish and share with one another, that way everyone can try something different, whether that’s a gourmet burger or some salmon and avocado sushi.
