The Irish nation is undeniably in debt to the Duchess of Longford: Maura Higgins.

maura seriously GIF by Love Island

The Love Island contestant has represented her country proudly, uttering the word 'tanks' at every turn and using her wily ways to nab Curtis Pritchard.

We're all pretty dedicated to her for providing us with endless entertainment, but Naturally Fast Food brand LEON has taken the crown for possessing the most commitment to the grid girl.

LEON Ireland have pledged to rename their famous LOVe burger to 'The Maura Burger' for a day if the hilarious hopeful bags the £50,000 prize.

Her bid to win the Love Island crown hasn't gone unnoticed by the food brand, who recently opened their doors in Dublin's Temple Bar. Their gas offer is sure to turn heads and set pulses racing.

The day after the reality show's finale airs, The Maura Burger will come to life if the Irish hopeful bags the crown.

The burger itself will be exactly like the LOVe Burger, but with extra sauce on the side for some added spice. We all know Queen Maura loves a bit of seasoning and flavour in her life…

If the Longford native wins the show, the first 50 people to order The Maura Burger will get one for free in LEON restaurants. It's an offer we just can't refuse.

All customers must do is say “I got a text from Maura” when ordering and they will be offered a free side.

We're all about celebrating our icons with food, that's for sure.

Managing director of LEON Ireland, Stuart Fitzgerald, said;

Our team are addicted to Love Island and our favourite islander is definitely Longford native, Maura. Our team are 100 percent loyal to Maura so we thought we’d share the love with our customers."

The poor girl must have crippling back pain from carrying the ENTIRE series of the show. Don't miss out on LEON's offer, and remember your manners. As Maura would say; "Tanks".

Have you ever wanted a good excuse to have to avoid cooking? Well, thanks to Deliveroo your prayers have been answered.

The last thing you want to do on the weekend is slave away in the kitchen like Cinderella. We can't help but daydream about going out for brunch or dining at that fancy new Italian restaurant your colleague has been raving about, but sadly our bank accounts won’t allow it.

Luckily, Deliveroo is offering free delivery across all restaurants this Friday and Saturday.

Hallelujah!

Every restaurant on Deliveroo in Ireland will be taking part in this special free delivery deal across Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast over the two days.

Liam Cox, General Manager of Deliveroo Ireland shared: “We’re thrilled to be able to give our loyal customers the opportunity to take advantage of our free delivery offer."

He hopes this offer will encourage people to try new food: “I'm hoping this will encourage more people to want to try out some of their favourite local delicacies, so there’s no reason not to indulge!”

We will certainly be treating ourselves this weekend thanks to Deliveroo.

Why not make the most of this offer and gather up your friends for a night-in. You could all order your favourite dish and share with one another, that way everyone can try something different, whether that’s a gourmet burger or some salmon and avocado sushi.

Rejoice! The McMór burger is making a comeback to McDonald's.

McDonald's Ireland confirmed the news today that the totally Irish burger is making its way back due to popular demand, however it will only be available for a limited amount of time.

Rolling out nationwide tomorrow, you will be able to enjoy the juicy feed for six weeks only.

The McMór is the fast food chain's first locally sourced burger in Ireland, and is made up of 100 per cent Irish beef, bacon from Dawn Meats and Dew Valley, Charleville Cheddar cheese and Ballymaloe Relish.

We can't wait to sink of teeth into this delish meal again.

Even though we love a shneaky McDonald's every now and again, we're not sure about this one.

The fast food chain has introduced a Nutella burger, and we fear it's just OTT.

The Sweety Con Nutella is a sweetened bun stuffed with a heap-load of the chocolate spread.

The McDonald's Facebook said: "A soft sweetness has arrived that you will not be able to resist. Try Sweety with Nutella now: soft bread with a creamy, indulgent centre."

For the moment, it's only available in Italy, but everyone is probably going to love it, so no doubt it'll be rolled out to numerous other Maccy D chains around the world.

We could be wrong, it might be delicious, and we'd say any sweet-tooths out there are going to go crazy for it.

This week, Nandos gave their menu a little shake up in the UK and Ireland, the first change it has seen since the restaurant made its' way over to our fair green isle.

Now, we all like a little change every now and then, but the chicken chain decided to say goodbye to a very popular burger, and people are seriously p*ssed about it.

The menu said au revoir to the Churrasco Thigh Burger and in its' place is the new Sunset Burger… but Twitter don't like it:

RIP, Churrasco!

There's notions – and then there's notions that we're actually rather fond of.

Case in point being the launch of SWEET potato fries at Abrakebabra – a menu addition that here in SHEmazing! Towers we are actually ALL sorts of excited about.

Of course, the eatery has long been a fail-safe soakage option at the end of a long night out: taco fries, quarter pounder, and a meat feast kebab ftw, after all.

However, lately the much-loved establishment has been getting seriously fancy… a move which has only made us love it even more.

Step forward the likes of crunchy falafel kebabs, chicken club burgers – and now sweet potato fries, which – as everyone knows – are totally healthy and therefore not something to feel remotely guilty about scoffing large quantities of.

The Irish-owned Abrakebabra also says Naomi Campbell, Colin Farrell, Jimmy Carr and Cheryl Cole are among its mega-fans, and frankly we're very much hoping to see Chezza tuck into a large bowl of sweet potato fries very soon.

Dublin welcomed its very own Creme Egg cafe earlier this year and we have to say, everything in it is SO delicious.

But a new Creme Egg creation has popped up in London, and while we haven't tasted it (yet), we're guessing is must be fab… right?

The Creme Egg deep fried burger is totally a thing now and was added to the menu at the K West Hotel & Spa.

A set of mini sliders are made up from a sweet brioche bun which is dipped in white chocolate and covered in raspberry sprinkles. Then is the deep fried Creme Egg which is followed by mascarpone cream and strawberry jelly.

The sliders are priced at £5.50 (€7) for two, but we're thinking you might not want to tell your doctor about this.

Like the infamous deep fried Mars bar, we're sure these are meant to be eaten in moderation.

It's the best thing ever when you're on a long journey and out of the blue, a Supermac's pops up along the motorway.

No more starvation, no more travelling (for a while), and you can just indulge on a burger and chips. Yum.

Well, you're going to be spotting a lot more of the fast food outlet across Ireland as it is planning to open six new stops along various motorways.

The company's founder, Pat McDonagh told the Sunday Business Post that the rise of the economy means he's making expansion plans for the next year or two.

"There’s increased employment out there and there’s a bit of confidence coming back into the market again,” he said.

The first to see its doors open is a new outlet on the Galway Plaza on the M6 in Febuary which will create between 70 to 100 new jobs. Sweet.

That will be followed by four more restaurants along motorways in the next few years.

Many people complain that the food they get from McDonald's looks NOTHING like it does in campaign posters or photographs.

And it's completely true. It looks nothing like the Big Mac you see gracing an ad in your favourite magazine.

So, this video takes you behind-the-scenes and shows you just how everything is actually put together… and it's surprisingly interesting.

No Eurosaver cheese burger for us, no siree – McDonald's is about to get seriously fancy, all with an Irish twist too.

Yes, the fast food chain is releasing its limited edition McMór, and it's arriving THIS Wednesday.

Branded as an "Irish artisan burger," it includes Ballymaloe relish and Charleville cheddar cheese and will be available in all 88 McDonald’s restaurants across the country for a limited, six week period.

As well as the relish and cheese, there is also the McMór's potato-flaked bun to look forward to, as well as 100 percent Irish beef and bacon, shredded cabbage, and whole baby leaf kale.

It's been in development for more than a year too and today McDonald's said in a statement: "We’re delighted to launch the McMór – and to be collaborating with great Irish producers to create our first ever Irish artisan burger."

Other limited edition items to hit restaurants around the world include the McLobster, available seasonally in parts of the US and Canada; the McHotDog; the McLean Deluxe, a reduced fat offering, and the chain's black burger – a squid-ink infused, Halloween-themed delight occasionally on offer in Japan.
