Shane Dawson is quickly becoming the king of Youtube documentary, or as it's known docuseries. 

Shane's intimate style of storytelling, relatability and empathetic approach to Bunny Meyer (grav3yardgirl) and the queen, Jeffree Star, earned him millions upon millions of views.

So it has absolutely floored us that the 30-year-old has missed the mark so badly with the Jake Paul series.

It has nothing to do with Jake Paul himself, but rather the way Shane approaches mental health, and in particular sociopaths.

Shane has released four of the eight part series and while a lot of people have said his latest video completely turned the series around – the aroma of the sh*t show he caused, still lingers.

The biggest question mark is that Shane is very open with his own battles with his mental health – so why on earth would he want to add to the stigma surrounding mental health?

Time and time again, Shane reiterates throughout his videos that he isn't branding Jake as a sociopath.

But even with his feeble attempts to disclaimer it, it doesn't take away from the real fact that it's dangerous and irresponsible to even suggest the idea.

Shane has no qualifications that could allow him to make that sort of call about someone – and he's spreading this message to MILLIONS of people.

I understand that he has said it's for entertainment purposes, but mental health shouldn't be glossed up with some Hollywood drama.

Anyone who lives with a mental health disorder knows the reality of their disorder – unglamorous, unapologetic and relentless.

And, when you're talking about mental health, you have a responsibility to report it accurately and with sensitivity.

The third part of the series, titled: The Dark Side of Jake Paul, Shane simply relies on videos that have been uploaded to Youtube to prove a point, he uses clips and Instagram images of Logan and Jake Paul to fit the narrative of a sociopath.

The therapist Kati Morton creates this monster like image of sociopaths, it really demonises a serious mental health disorder.

The real kicker comes as they dramatise and exaggerate the stat that one in 25 are sociopaths. This information has been widely publicised after the book, The Sociopath Next Door was released.

However, in an older edition of a book, DSM-IV, it stated that the prevalence of Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD) in a population sample is about 3 percent for males and about 1 percent for females.

Furthermore, the book highlights that just because someone has APD doesn't mean that they are a sociopath. 

And while I'm a huge fan of Shane and really respect his work – editorially, he's a genius, his edits and montages are some of the best on Youtube.

His latest series has been extremely self-indulgent – you could watch from the Enemies of Jake Paul and skip the first three videos because it's 90 percent of Shane just speculating, with no real evidence.

I would actually advise anyone who hasn't watched the first three – not to bother. – You'll do yourself a favour by missing the demonisation of sociopaths.

If these series have done anything – it's shown us how not to talk about a mental health disorder.

Happy World Animal Day!

Where would we be without our fluffy pets and long-time supporters waiting by the door to welcome us home each evening?

Probably in a constant state of depression and loneliness, and, god forbid, we would have to completely rely on human relationships.

Gone are the days when all we wanted to do is go trick or treating on Halloween. If you’re stuck for something to do then look no further because we’ve conjured up the top five events happening in Dublin around All Hallows’ Eve.

1: Halloween Roller Disco:

Get your skates on and spin around the dancefloor with Eleven from Stranger Things, Edward Scissorhands and Hermione Granger. 

The annual Halloween party will take place in Dublin’s only roller disco in Finches Business Park, Longmile Road on October 31. Make sure you wear your best costume (and not the backup one you got in Dealz) and you might be in with a chance of winning a fab prize.

2: Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Pub Quiz:

Watching the Halloween episodes of The Simpsons has become a ritual for us so what better way to test your knowledge than to take part in the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Pub Quiz.

There'll be costumes, episode screenings and top prizes on the night. Head down to Hely’s Bar on Dame Street on October 28 and celebrate the spookiest time of year with the best TV family.

3: The Great Gatsby Halloween Party:

Head back to the 1920s and 1930s and party in style like the great Jay Gatsby. Think of the flapper dresses, the fancy cocktails and the jazz music that will leave you twirling around the dancefloor all night.

You can enjoy a dinner and show for a mere €15 at this glorious event. 

If anyone needs us we’ll be hunting down the perfect flapper girl dress for this classy event.

4: Halloween Movie Screenings at the Lighthouse:

Our favourite cinema is screening some of the BEST Halloween movies this October and you just don’t want to miss them.

The Lighthouse Cinema will be showing everything from Hocus Pocus to The Blair Witch Project as we inch closer to Halloween. You can cosy up with some popcorn but make sure you hold on tight to it because some of these horrors will have you jumping out of your skin.

5: Heroes from Mars presents The Goblin King Masquerade Ball:

The Grand Social have knocked it out of the park again with this event.

The Goblin King Masquerade Ball celebrates the best of the late David Bowie. You can strut around to his biggest hits like Let’s Dance and Ashes to Ashes, as well as hits from Labyrinth, on the night of October 28.

Fancy dress isn’t essential but c’mon it’s Halloween and Bowie is a fashion icon. You just can’t miss this night celebrating the Goblin King himself.

The hype over Kylie Cosmetics has died down some what from her OG Lip Kit days, but occasionally, one of her collections causes us to take another look. 

Previously, we had her Weather Collection, an entire line is inspired by Stormi and her unique metrological name, which caught our eye, and now her upcoming Halloween creation has done the same. 

The Halloween Collection, which Kylie debuted on social media last night, includes four new bullet lipsticks, two in a new metallic formula, a brand new lip kit, a gloss, two liquid glitter eyeshadows, a new eyeshadow palette, and a highlighter. However, we're loving the new lip shade most of all. 

 After what seems like a never-ending cosmetics trend of taupy-nude lips, we're in the mood for some rich, ravishing colour to bloom on our lips this Autumn/Winter. 

Kylie revealed her literally vampy new lip kit in the shade Vampire. The blood red shade is different to the other reds in Kylie's line – Victoria, Jordy, Red Velvet, Mary Jo K and 22 – thanks to it's deep, cool undertones. 

It's the kind of classic red we can see ourselves reaching for it for seasons to come. 

Never one to shy away from a theme, all of the packaging in the Halloween collection has holographic elements, and is printed with Halloween motif like bats, ghosts and fangs. 

An interesting aspect is that the new collection is 3D, and comes with 3D glasses so you can experience the spooky packaging magic. 

The full line drops at midnight on October 12, and it would be a frightful shame to miss teh sale – this kit is sure to sell out.

Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham played a trick on us all on Tuesday when they announced their engagement on Instagram. 

However, it turns out the prank was fake news – orchestrated from a dare  by Capital FM's Roman Kemp. However, Jack admitted that he did receive some hassle on the back of the prank.

He went on to describe his family's anger, as they thiught they had been left out of the loop regarding Jack and Dani's 'engagement.'

It feels like every Disney movie is getting the live-action treatment, and we must admit, we’re pretty happy about it.

We are mega Disney fans so seeing our favourite tales being remade into live-action movies is pretty exciting.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of our favourite Disney movies will be transformed into a live-action movie.

Rumour has it, we’ll soon be reunited with our favourite Disney duo as Lilo and Stitch is set to be remade into a live-action movie.

We’ll be returning to Hawaii in the live-action/CG hybrid and we’re intrigued to see how the team will transform the beloved animated tale.

Disney has lined up quite the impressive creative team for the Lilo and Stitch remake with Mike Van Waes working on the script and Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich producing the beloved tale.

The producers are already working on the Aladdin remake so it’s safe to say the live-action Lilo and Stitch won’t disappoint Disney fans.

Lilo and Stitch may not have been a massive box office success, especially when you compare it to films like Frozen and Moana, but it is one of our favourites.

Lilo’s sassy attitude, her deep love for Elvis’ music and her kind-heart make her one of the greatest Disney characters.

There’s no scene we relate to more than the one where Lilo lies down on the ground, listens to her Elvis record and yells, “Leave me alone to die.”

We can’t wait to be reunited with the Elvis-loving, Hawaiin-dancing heroine.

Krispy Kreme has been forced to end their 24 hour drive-thru service due to noise complaints from surrounding neighbours.

There is no official word yet on whether Kourtney, who just split from ex-boyfriend Younes Bendjima last month,is 100% dating Luka. 

However, with Kim sharing cute snaps of the pair, and Kourt and Luka spending an increasing amount of time together, it seems like a relationship could be blooming.

Kian, Nicky, Shane and Mark opened up to The Irish Sun about their reunion.

“We genuinely missed each other and missed the buzz of performing on stage together to all our fans,” said Shane.

Huge congratulations are in order for Kate Hudson who gave birth to her third child on October 2.

The Almost Famous actress and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family.

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has firmly denied rape allegations that were first made against him in 2009.

The dad took to Twitter to clear his name in a series of tweets.

He wrote: “I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me.”

“Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in,” he continued.

The sportsman claimed that accuser Kathryn Mayorga made the claims to “promote themselves at my expense.”

The 33-year-old said he has a clear conscience which will allow him to “await with tranquillity the results of any and all investigations.”

Kathryn claimed that the attack happened in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009. She says that during the alleged attack, she repeatedly said no, giving verbal non-consent.

It is believed she went to the hospital for a sexual assault examination after the alleged incident.

Mayorga accepted a settlement and nondisclosure agreement. It is believed she received $375,000 in exchange for her silence.

According to the Associated Press, police in Las Vegas have re-opened the sexual assault case.
