Lion King

It feels like every Disney movie is getting the live-action treatment, and we must admit, we’re pretty happy about it.

We are mega Disney fans so seeing our favourite tales being remade into live-action movies is pretty exciting.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, one of our favourite Disney movies will be transformed into a live-action movie.

Rumour has it, we’ll soon be reunited with our favourite Disney duo as Lilo and Stitch is set to be remade into a live-action movie.

We’ll be returning to Hawaii in the live-action/CG hybrid and we’re intrigued to see how the team will transform the beloved animated tale.

Disney has lined up quite the impressive creative team for the Lilo and Stitch remake with Mike Van Waes working on the script and Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich producing the beloved tale.

The producers are already working on the Aladdin remake so it’s safe to say the live-action Lilo and Stitch won’t disappoint Disney fans.

Lilo and Stitch may not have been a massive box office success, especially when you compare it to films like Frozen and Moana, but it is one of our favourites.

Lilo’s sassy attitude, her deep love for Elvis’ music and her kind-heart make her one of the greatest Disney characters.

There’s no scene we relate to more than the one where Lilo lies down on the ground, listens to her Elvis record and yells, “Leave me alone to die.”

We can’t wait to be reunited with the Elvis-loving, Hawaiin-dancing heroine.

As if the cast for Disney's upcoming Lion King revival wasn't already out of this world,  it now looks like producers may have found their perfect Scar.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Twelve Years A Slave star, Chiweltel Ejiofor is currently in talks to voice the famous Disney villain.

If the reports are correct, Chiweltel will join a stellar cast which already features the likes of Donald Glover, John Oliver and Seth Rogan.

Scar was originally voiced by British actor Jeremy Irons, in the 1994 animated version.

James Earl Jones is set to reprise his role of Simba's dad Mufasa in the remake, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen are attached to play Timon and Pumbaa and Donald Glover will take on the role of Simba.

Beyoncé is also rumoured to be in the running to voice Nala, although this is yet to be confirmed.

The Lion King is due to hit cinemas in July 2019.

Models of the moment (but not quite top models) Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have started their own version of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke on Snapchat… and we think they need a spot on the show.

Ever the entertainers, Kendall and Gigi sang one of the best songs of ALL time, the Lion King's Can You Feel the Love Tonight.

And then more festively, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.

Watch out James, it looks like you may have some competition.

Poor, poor Mufasa.

Every time we watch The Lion King we want it to end up differently, but no, there it is, Scar pushing Mufasa off the cliff into the path of a herd of wildebeests.

This little girl's reaction to Mufasa's untimely death pretty sums up all of us watching a sad movie… her little face!

Viktoria watching Lion King for the first time, and Scar just killed Mufasa! Check out her light skin reaction.

Just don't show her Marley and Me, that's all we ask.

Imagine getting onto a plane to be greeted by the cast of smash show The Lion King.

Watch how performers treat the lucky passengers.
