We're powering through October and as we get closer to All Hallows Eve on the 31st, we want to soak up every bit of spooky atmosphere that we can this month. 

So we've done a little scout around and rounded up the best of the creepy events taking place across Ireland in the next few weeks.

Be it bobbing for apples, carving pumpkins or scaring the sh*t out of yourself in some haunted house, we've got the ideal Halloween treat for you, wherever you are in the country. 

1. Hellfire Club Walk, Dublin 

Starting it off in the capital, there are an insane amount of spooktacular events to choose from, but if you want something that you won't forget easily, we have this for you. 

Hellfire Club, anyone? Known as  "The The Most Terrifying Walking Tour Experience In Dublin'', this walk will take you into the depths of the Dublin Mountains. This fully guided walk begins every Thursday and Friday at 7pm from Lower Bridge Street Dublin. Think atmospheric. Think unique. Think quite f*cking terrifying.

2. Night Tours of Wicklow’s Historic Gaol, Co. Wicklow

Get ready for a fright at Wicklow’s Historic Gaol with a Paranormal Investigation from ParaResearchers Ireland. You'll feel like you're pretty much in Ghostbusters as you stalk the cells and corridors looking for ghostly beings – what's not to love?

On Saturday October 28th from 9pm to 2am, tickets €55.

3. Virginia Pumpkin Festival, Co. Cavan

Anyone reading his who doesn't have a soft spot for pumpkins, gtfo. Get stuck into the action at this festival where Halloween comes to life over a weekend filled with live music and street entertainment and a fireworks display at Lough Ramor lakeshore with live music and food.

4. Haunted Spooktacular Horror Farm at Grove Gardens, Co Meath.

Taking place near Kells, this strictly over-16's event caters to fans of indoor and outdoor attractions, with names such as Disturbia, Dungeon and Zombie Apocalypse. They're all offering a devilish mix of live action, special effects and claustrophobia.

Running from October 20th-21st and 27th-31st, from €25. 

5. Loftus Hall, Co. Wexford

Who doesn't love a haunted house? For those who love a bit of old-fashioned terror, a visit to Loftus Hall is a a must.

Known as the most haunted house in Ireland, it's situated on Hook Peninsula in County Wexford, this place is haunted by the devil and a young woman. trip. Visit if you're brave enough…you have been warned.

7. Farmaphobia, Co Meath

Held at Causey Farm, this Scream park has 5 amazing and diverse Haunt Experiences designed to terrify and push you to the limit. Try the popular and terrifying Scarettraction – frolic in the fields where no oen will hear your screams.  Tickets from 18 quid. 

8. Murder Mystery Halloween Night, Galway City 

What would October be without dressing up in 1940's clobber and pretending to have killed a butler? Yes, it's Murder Mystery Halloween Fun. Galway City is hosting a super glam and exclusive Hollywood Oscar-themed party. Dine in a fab medieval dining room as you try to figure out whodunnit. 9. Belfast Halloween Monster Mash and Fireworks Display

This annual event takes place at the Titanic Slipways on Wednesday, October 31st. Prepare for wicked workshops, monster rides, scary street performers and live music as well as candies and hot food are all on offer on the day.

10. Lafcadio HearnJapanese Gardens in Tramore, Co Waterford.

The stunning candlelight Halloween Ghostly Night Performance at the Lafcadio HearnJapanese Gardens is unreal. You can sit back and enjoy readings and performances of some of the haunted tales from Lafcadio Hearn’s extensive collection of Japanese legends and ghost stories. From October 28th and 29th, tickets €2 – €5.

11. Cork Ghost Tour

Walking tours more your thing? This one takes in the Rebel city revealing its history in an interactive way. Plus why not enjoy a pint or two in quirky little pubs like Pat Buckley’s Bar and The Friary along the way?

Gone are the days when all we wanted to do is go trick or treating on Halloween. If you’re stuck for something to do then look no further because we’ve conjured up the top five events happening in Dublin around All Hallows’ Eve.

1: Halloween Roller Disco:

Get your skates on and spin around the dancefloor with Eleven from Stranger Things, Edward Scissorhands and Hermione Granger. 

The annual Halloween party will take place in Dublin’s only roller disco in Finches Business Park, Longmile Road on October 31. Make sure you wear your best costume (and not the backup one you got in Dealz) and you might be in with a chance of winning a fab prize.

2: Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Pub Quiz:

Watching the Halloween episodes of The Simpsons has become a ritual for us so what better way to test your knowledge than to take part in the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Pub Quiz.

There'll be costumes, episode screenings and top prizes on the night. Head down to Hely’s Bar on Dame Street on October 28 and celebrate the spookiest time of year with the best TV family.

3: The Great Gatsby Halloween Party:

Head back to the 1920s and 1930s and party in style like the great Jay Gatsby. Think of the flapper dresses, the fancy cocktails and the jazz music that will leave you twirling around the dancefloor all night.

You can enjoy a dinner and show for a mere €15 at this glorious event.

4: Halloween Movie Screenings at the Lighthouse:

Our favourite cinema is screening some of the BEST Halloween movies this October and you just don’t want to miss them.

The Lighthouse Cinema will be showing everything from Hocus Pocus to The Blair Witch Project as we inch closer to Halloween. You can cosy up with some popcorn but make sure you hold on tight to it because some of these horrors will have you jumping out of your skin.

5: Heroes from Mars presents The Goblin King Masquerade Ball:

The Grand Social have knocked it out of the park again with this event.

The Goblin King Masquerade Ball celebrates the best of the late David Bowie. You can strut around to his biggest hits like Let’s Dance and Ashes to Ashes, as well as hits from Labyrinth, on the night of October 28.

Fancy dress isn’t essential but c’mon it’s Halloween and Bowie is a fashion icon. You just can’t miss this night celebrating the Goblin King himself.

Pixar fans, rejoice! One of the greatest Dublin cinemas is showing the best Pixar movies throughout the month of August.

The Lighthouse Cinema will be screening classics like A Bug’s Life and Toy Story, and newer releases like Inside Out and Coco.

Fan favourites including Cars, Monsters Inc. and The Good Dinosaur will also be shown. How exciting!

The Pixar season is bound to attract herds of people to the cinema in Smithfield, who are known for their famous film seasons.

Speaking of the exciting summer event, they said: “This summer we’re bringing you (and the kids!) a season of Pixar films, including every feature film in their repertoire, a Toy Story marathon for all to fill your hearts with joy and a Cars marathon for all the little Lightning McQueens out there.”

It looks like we'll be spending most of August at the Lighthouse Cinema, stuffing our faces with popcorn and enjoying some of the best animated movies.

We may be coming off the back of a Bank Holiday weekend, but that doesn't mean we don't deserve a few post-work tipples this Friday. 

Tomorrow night, the final instalment of The Hop House presents by Hop House 13 will take place in Whelan's on Wexford Street. 

Entertainment on the night will be provided by the recent Choice Music Prize winner Ships, as well as LUMO Club and Telephone DJs. 

The organisers have teamed up with local street food vendors including contemporary Chinese restaurant Hang Dai, The Big Blue Bus at The Bernard Shaw and The Brazilian Kitchen at Wigwam to create a range of dishes to complement Hop House 13. 

If you're feeling adventurous, Hang Dai will be putting their creative edge on a traditional Super Noodle dish served with crispy squid and wild garlic mayo, while Pedro from the Brazilian Kitchen will be serving up a range of pastels, a firm street food favourite in Brazil.

Following the hugely successful Gin Fair in August, House Dublin are hosting its very first Irish Craft Beer and Spirit Festival. 

Event organisers promise that whether you are a Craft beer Connoisseur or it is your first time tasting Whiskey or Gin, you need not worry as you will be joined by brewers, distillers, and all-round enthusiasts as they show you what separates us from the rest of the world when it comes to craft beer and spirits 

There'll also be live music and spot prizes for a few lucky customers.

Anyone who grew up in Ireland during the early 00s will have a soft spot for this one.
