We can’t believe it’s been ten years since the release of Twilight. It only feels like yesterday when cinemas were full of teens wearing ‘Team Edward’ t-shirts and far too much eyeliner.

The fantasy films quickly exploded in popularity thanks to the complicated love triangle, the soundtrack full of emo music and twinkly vampires.

The Twilight phenomenon was everywhere you looked back in the day when vampires were all the rage. Photos of Jacob Black were stuck to the inside of locker doors. The giant Stephanie Meyers’ books were stuffed into school bags. People got quotes from the movie tattooed on their body, and some even committed to having Edward Cullen’s face etched into their skin forever.

A decade may have passed since we were first introduced to Edward, Bella and co. but people will never let Robert Pattinson forget about playing the famous ‘17-year-old’ vampire.

You’d think the actor would be tired of hearing about the Twilight Saga, but it looks like the High Life star is ready to return to the rainy Forks, Washington.

In an interview with Variety, the actor teased fans about the potential return of Twilight. “The amount of time I’ve spent moisturizing, I am ready to play 17 at a moment’s notice. Ready!” he joked.

The 32-year-old did admit he was speaking about the franchise recently, “I was literally talking to my agent about it."

It looks like we could be digging out our Team Edward and Team Jacob t-shirts from the bottom of the wardrobe sooner than we think.

With New York Fashion Week in full swing, we're feeling oh-so inspired for the upcoming season.

The street style was on point in the city that never sleeps, and one piece that stood out to us on the street style blogs was the white fur coat.

Whether draped over the shoulders or word with a belt, (hopefully faux) fur coats were absolutely everywhere.

Luckily, Penneys is keeping our winter wardrobes up to date, and already have a seriously cosy looking fluffy coat on offer.

In typical Penneys style, the coat is very affordable, coming in at only €35.00.

Complete with over sized lapels, this furry number is perfect for dressing up any outfit.

Coat €35.00, Penneys

Slung over a black t-shirt, blue jeans and runners for day, or popped on top of a sleek jumpsuit at night, this jacket is very versatile.

The return of faux fur marks the beginning of party season, and we're pretty damn excited fro the seasonal change.

Over the past 24 hours, a particular cartoon depiction of Serena Williams has been causing outrage online.

The cartoon, by The Herald Sun artist Mark Knight, shows the tennis legend smashing her racket in a rage.

The cartoon has been widely criticised as being sexist and accused of using racist stereotypes.

The newspaper's editor, Damon Johnston has defended the cartoon, writing on Twitter that it 'is not racist or sexist …. it rightly mocks poor behaviour by a tennis legend … Mark has the full support of everyone.'

High profile figures have criticised the cartoon, including author JK Rowling.

'Well done on reducing one of the greatest sportswomen alive to racist and sexist tropes and turning a second great sportswoman into a faceless prop,' she tweeted.

Knight denied that the cartoon was racist, telling 3AW radio's Neil Mitchell:

'It's a cartoon about poor behaviour … People said I’m racist because I drew Serena as an African-American woman.'

'I drew her as a powerful figure, which is what she is. She's strongly built.'

Serena Williams has since been fined $17,000 for her outburst at the US Open Final.

We were shook when we heard about the Nicki Minaj and Cardi B fight.

The two were filmed breaking out into a brawl by onlookers, who rapidly shared the footage on social media.

The news quickly went viral as the two rappers went after one another on the red carpet during New York Fashion Week.

Afterwards, Cardi B immediately took to Instagram to pen an angry message to Nicki, accusing her of insulting her parenting skills.

“When you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f*ckin off!! I've worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f*ck with my success!!!!” she wrote.

However, Nicki claimed that Cardi’s allegations were false and that the Super Bass rapper never said anything of the sort.

On her Queen Radio show on Monday, the rapping legend took the opportunity to voice her defence against the up and coming Bodak Yellow star.

She called the red carpet incident “mortifying” and “humiliating”, denying Cardi’s accusations of the fight’s purpose.

“I would never talk about anyone’s child or parenting. I don’t care about anyone’s parenting. I don’t give a sh*t and it’s so crazy to me that people always need to make Onika [Nicki’s real name] the bad guy.

“I just want to let the world know that Onika Tanya Maraj would never, has never and will never speak ill of anyone’s child.”

The rapper soon turned on the offensive, addressing Cardi directly for her allegations.

“You came into my f*cking culture! I never had to f*ck a DJ to play my songs.”

“You’re angry and you’re sad. Get this woman some f*cking help! This woman is having the best days of her career, and you’re out here…throwing shoes? Who the f*ck is gonna give her an intervention?”

Cardi B has yet to respond to Nicki’s comments. The reason behind the rappers fight seems to remain cloudy, but it is clear that the altercation has been the pinnacle of the girls’ ongoing feud.

They were that 'couple' – so well-matched and in love with each other, it would make you sick.

Even on reality TV, Leah and Brandon's relationship was clearly genuine.

However, The Keeping Up with The Kardashian's regular guests have announced the end of their marriage in a statement.

After 'fourteen beautiful years together' they have called time on their relationship and we just can't deal.

Leah took to Instagram to confirm the news in a statement.

Get your tissues ready: the message is seriously heartbreaking.

"It is with love in our hearts that we feel it's time to share some personal news with you all," the 35-year-old said.

"After celebrating fourteen beautiful years together, we have lovingly come to the decision to end the romantic aspect of our relationship. We are deeply proud of the life we've cultivated together and are truly grateful for the bond of friendship we hold and cherish today." – I'm not crying, you are.

Keeping it classy, the mother-of-one explained: "There has been no lying, or cheating, or fighting that prompted this change, just an expansion of our individual evolution which has inspired us to support each other in a new way."

The pair will continue to be "best friends" and" loving parents" to their daughter, Eva.

Leah finished the heartfelt post with: "Here we openly share our truth with you all and, respectfully, we won't be commenting further so anything that might state the contrary to this message would, undoubtedly, be a fabrication."

We are utterly heartbroken for them, but they have given everyone a schooling in how to handle a public break-up in a mature, honourable fashion.

Wishing them the very best of luck for the future.

Growing up throughout my education, mathematics was always a serious struggle.

All through primary school, I would sit in silence staring at whatever sum had been placed in front of me, unable to unravel the complex knot of numbers, taking stab after stab at it with my pencil until the page was a grey wash of eraser markings but my bran could not make the answer reveal itself.

I managed to scrape by, mostly on the sympathy and extra help of my teachers until secondary school, when the word dyscalculia was first mentioned to me, but I wasn't eligible for additional help. Instead, I was placed in the smallest lower-level maths class where those of us who struggled the most sweated and screamed in frustration over making that algebraic x or y turn into a number (I'm sure the teacher was equally on the brink of break down with us).

There is a distinct hierarchy of subjects in school, with maths being placed right at the top, and anyone who is excellent at maths automatically being presumed to be more intelligent than the rest.

Despite achieving A grades in the areas of Art, English and History, my lack of competence when it came to maths was a perpetual sore spot on my report cards and a topic of conversation at every parent teacher meeting.

Thankfully, a new study has revealed that the Specific Learning Disorder in Mathematics, also known as dyscalculia, is more widespread than we have ever known before.

The School of Psychology at Queen's University studied 2,421 primary school children to see how they got on in the numeric subject. Of the kids involved, just one had been diagnosed previously with dyscalculia.

By the end of the study it was found that 112 children were likely to have the condition, while in the same study 108 had an official diagnoses of dyslexia.

Dr Morsanyi, who conducted the study, said:

'In society, there is sadly a widespread notion that you need a special talent to be good at maths, and that struggling with maths is normal for some people, but this is not the case and it's not something we would accept if a pupil was unable to read.'

The amounts of students with the disorders were almost equal, and yet while extra help and specialised learning strategies are available for those with a reading difficulty, there is not yet such a prevalence of additional assistance for those with a maths issue.

Being trendy comes at a price, and it seems that the pressure is on for parents everywhere to keep their kids on point and in style.

According to a recent survey by Credit Karma, one-quarter of parents said seeing other parents doing something on social media makes them more likely to spend money on the same activity.

Mums and dads are putting themselves in debt trying to keep up with the latest online trends. For instance, let’s look at the recent slime trend. Kids could not stop watching colourful, sticky slime videos and were relentless in asking their parents to have their own toy.

Last year, the number one googled query was ‘how to make slime’. Parents were flocking to stores to either buy the ingredients for the toy or buy tubs of the slime itself to keep their children happy.

But are they under too much pressure on them to keep up with the latest and greatest trends?

The survey also found that more than half of parents have gone into debt to buy nonessential items or experiences for their children.

52% said they overspend because they want their children to have a better life than they did, and 40% of parents saw their excessive spending as an investment in their child’s future.

The top non-essential items parents spent money on, in order of most to least frequently, were designer clothes, concerts/musicals/theatres, organic food, study abroad, private school, summer camps, cosmetic care, a personal laptop, pets, and a cellphone.

The influence of social media is apparent in these compulsory buys as the trends of designer children’s clothes, Disney musicals and movies, healthy organic foods, and learning via technology have taken hold of the young generation.

There are kids modelling on Instagram with thousands of followers, and this increased influence has had a huge effect on co-parenting and partnerships.

Most parents don’t tell their children or other parents about overspending on their children, and almost a third don’t tell their partner when they go into debt to buy something for their children, causing a strain on their relationships.

This hidden debt and overwhelming pressure was mostly due to judgement from other parents.

27% of parents say they’ve spent excessively because they were either afraid of being judged by friends or other parents (11%) or because they didn’t want their kids judged by their peers (16%).

These startling statistics show the wide effect parental judgement stemming from online trends has had on the mum community. Minding children isn’t exactly a cheap lifestyle, but there are some small daily choices you can make to save those pennies and rather spend on science tuition for the kids.

This season of Celebrity Big Brother has been marred by controversy – but despite the difficulties he faced in the house, last night Ryan Thomas walked away the winner.

The former Coronation Street star emotionally took the crown, saying to Emma Willis:

'I have no words, no words whatsoever, I don't know what to say… all day I've been acting like I'm all cool, didn't think about winning,' he said.

CBB was criticised for its treatment of Ryan during the series, after he was accused of an act of violence by a fellow housemate.

Former Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett is arguably the most controversial housemate in recent Celebrity Big Brother history following her actions.

The actress accused Thomas of punching her, which turned out to be an untrue exaggeration.

Move over Meghan and Harry, there's a new engagement portrait that might have taken a little bit of inspo from yours.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have just posed for their first official engagement photo, courtesy of Ralph Lauren's Instagram.

The couple, who announced they were to marry last month, attended the Ralph Lauren 50th Anniversary Show during New York Fashion Week.

Alex Lubomirski snapped the glam pair at the black-tie event – and this isn't the first time he has done so.

Alex was actually the man behind the lens for Harry and Meghan's engagement shoot last year.

Both images show Meghan and Priyanka leaning into their fiancés, with their beautiful engagement rings glittering.

Many fans were quick to comment on the stunning picture, with one writing, ''he's sooo proud to be with her. He looks like the cat that got the cream,'' while another said, ''they are so cute together!! Good for them.''

While Nick and Priyanka put their own spin on the Royal couple's pose, who do you think did it better?

While we love Nick and Priyanka, our hearts will always flock to the OG – Haz and Meghan.

As the saying goes; all good things must come to an end.

And BBC bosses have signalled that our unhealthy addiction to Aidan Turner as Ross Poldark will come to a close after season five.

The much anticipated fifth season will be the last of the series – and we aren't okay.

Filming has gotten underway this week for the final chapter, and as our tears dry, writer Debbie Horsfield has given us a sneaky insight into what we can expect as the curtain closes on the series.

Debbie Horsfield, who has written every episode of the four series, divulged: “In The Stranger from the Sea Winston Graham made many references to developments that happened in the 'gap' years. Much can also be inferred.

There are, of course, also historical events and people of the time, both in Cornwall and in London. Series five will draw on all of these to follow the lives of the Poldarks, George Warleggan, the Enyses, and the Carnes in this intervening period.”

Poldark saga was created over 12 novels by Winston Graham.

The 'gap' Debbie refers to is the 10 year period, Winston left between his seventh and his eighth novel.

The fourth series was based off the seventh novel, The Angry Tide. And the final series will be inspired by the eighth book, The Stranger from the Sea.

And, of course, a new series means new roles to cast for characters.

These include famous faces such as Lily Dodsworth Evans, Kerri McLean, Sofia Oxenham, and Vincent Regan – to name just a few.

Although, we will have to wait a little longer to find out who will be playing what part.

You can expect the fifth and final series to hit your screens sometime in 2019.

We are going to miss the perfection that is Aiden Turner.
