Singer Chris Brown was arrested last night in Florida, where he was performing as part of a nationwide tour.

The 29-year-old was in the US and scheduled to perform at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, however, at this point, it's unclear whether he was actually arrested before or after the concert (we presume it wasn't during the show!).

According to various reports, Brown was arrested on an outstanding out-of-county warrant from last year. There's no word on what the warrant was actually for but reportedly Brown was arrested and released after he posted bail the same evening.

He is no stranger to run-ins with the law; in 2009 he was arrested and charged with physical assault charges following an incident with his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. As a result of the assault, he was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats in that incident, and received five years probation and community service.

He was also arrested in 2013 after an alleged incident in a hotel in Washington and kicked out of rehab that same year for smashing his mother's car window during a family session.

After a fabulous Pride month, there is another huge reason to keep the celebrations going in the LGBTQ community.

For the first time ever, a transgender woman has been victorious in the competition for the Miss Spain title.

Angela Ponce took home the crown on June 29th, beating out 22 other contestants.

And now she'll take it one step further, by competing to become the next Miss Universe in the Philippines this December.

Angela took to Instagram to share her joy at this momentous achievement.

''Today I have fulfilled a dream that I always had,'' she wrote in Spanish. ''I'm going to the @missuniverse, with the awareness and commitment to carry forward a message of inclusion, respect, tolerance, love for oneself, love for others.''

Social media has largely backed Angela's victory, with one user saying that, ''trans can participate in any scenario, in the perspective of an inclusive society.''

Others were not so happy with the news, with one person commenting that, ''I agree that it is a revolutionary idea in pushing the definition of a woman. On the other side, I don't wanna lose the essence and tradition of our most loved pageant.''

This win is a monumental step when you think of the fact that until six years ago, trans women were actually banned from entering the contest.

According to Express, the rules were changed after trans model Jenna Talackova threatened legal action against the competition.

President Paula Shugart later said, ''we have a long history of supporting equality for all women, and this was something we took very seriously.”

Hopefully this means that more inclusion in pageants worldwide will soon be a reality.

It's Friday ladies, and we cannot wait to cheer to the weekend with our friends with a nice G&T or a tasty glass of Prosecco.

But this week, we will make it extra special thanks to the help of one of Ireland’s best-loved chefs, Kevin Dundon.

When we talked to the SuperValu ambassador this week and asked him about a nice summer drink, let's say that Kevin delivered.

"Get some strawberries, or use the ones you have that are getting bruised, take the stems off, place into a blender with a sprig of fresh tarragon, a little bit of honey, and pulse until you get a lovely puree. You can use it with gin, place a little bit of that puree at the bottom of your glass, add ice, some gin, tonic, and garnish with a strawberry. You can use that same puree with Prosecco, it’s gorgeous!"

For those who don't want alcohol, the chef recommends to add some vanilla ice cream and a little bit of milk to the puree to get a lovely strawberry shake.

And now we are drooling.

We imagine Pete Davidson landed himself in Grande's bad books after the joke he made about the Manchester Bombings.

It's pretty obvious why people were upset at the 'joke' made by Ariana Grande's fiancé.

The poorly tasted joke was made during a stand-up gig before he met the Dangerous Woman singer.

Fans were quick to call for Ariana to break-up with Davidson, in light of the joke.

In the midst of the controversy, the singer's lips were sealed- until now.

Taking to Twitter, Ariana said that it had been 'very tough and conflicting' for her heart.

Defending her husband-to-be the 25-year-old said he uses his humour to help people to feel better, but she didn't find the joke funny.

She concluded by reassuring fans that his intentions weren't malicious, but – "it was unfortunate."

The Manchester Bombings claimed the lives of 22 people.

The devastating incident occurred in May 2017 at Grande's concert.

Those closest to Pete told Peoplethat his comments had been "taken out of context."

Whether or not that is true, it seems like Ariana won't be breaking it off with the comedian any time soon.

Hallelujah for inclusive fashion!

Fashion retailer ASOS have proven how sound they are by designing a new piece of clothing, suitable for people with a disability.

The rainproof jumpsuit is modelled by Great Britain paralympic Chloe Ball-Hopkin.

Speaking to Newsbeat, Chloe explained that she wants to ''make fashion that is accessible to everybody."

The athlete and BBC Bristol sports reporter was contacted by ASOS, who wanted to see if she would be interested in a collaboration.

The idea for the jumpsuit came to Chloe after she got drenched while at a festival with her boyfriend.

"You get the same version whether it's you or I buying it – that's the point. It is exactly the same for me as it is for you,'' the 21-year-old said.

The support she has been getting has reached a global level.

Social media have shared their delight, with one Twitter user saying, ''this jumpsuit is cute, and better yet, inclusive of people who use wheelchairs. Excited to see more inclusive clothing coming out!''

Another commented, ''just ordered from ASOS for the first time! Love that they’re collaborating for accessible fashion!''

Disability blogger Shona Louise has written a moving piece championing the brand for catering for differently-abled bodies.

She wrote, ''for so long accessible clothing has been ugly, ridiculously expensive and generally unappealing. Actually designing something with disabled people in mind is a whole other amazing and important step. It's not the extra step either, it's the equal step.''

This is not the first time ASOS has included a model who has a disability in a campaign.

Model, blogger and leg amputee Mama Cax was featured by the brand in one of their activewear campaigns back in in January.

So what other brand will be next to follow in their footsteps?

Good news for those living close to the city centre, the Danish brand is opening a new space in Dublin 2 in less than a month.

Located on 60/70 South Great Georges Street, a space previously owned by Waltons, the outlet will be the brand's biggest store outside of its home country to date.

Søstrene Grene currently has five other stores in Ireland – Dún Laoghaire, Blanchardstown, Athlone, Cork and Limerick.

Who run the world? In House of Cards, there's only one woman to be reckoned with: Claire Underwood.

House of Cards is slowly ramping up the promotion for their much-hyped sixth season, which will see Robin Wright take her seat as President of the United States.

She is a boss.

Netflix released a short but fiery House of Cards teaser to mark Independence Day (July 4th) this week and it featured the formidable Claire Underwood, declaring her own independence from her husband Frank, played by Kevin Spacey.

The sixth and final season will revolve around Wright’s Claire in the Oval Office, having taken over the reins from her husband, Frank. We don't yet know how the team will have written Kevin Spacey, who played the scheming politician and president during the first five seasons out of the show – and had filmed the first three episodes of the new series – before Netflix severed ties with the actor.

The actor was forced off the show late last year amid several sexual harassment allegations that came to light. Since then, he has all but left public life but after stalling production on the show for a number of weeks, Netflix announced the would continue, with Wright taking over the storyline.

The teaser is a nod to Spacey’s firing and the entire season will very much centre on Wright’s Claire in charge.

“Happy Independence Day. To me.”

Sorry, but QUEEN.

Wright has earned five Emmy nods for her formidable work on the drama and fans are eagerly anticipating her chance to step into the central character. Wright, who has been credited with taking the character from mere arm candy to one who carried equal weight with that of the lead actor, steadily grew to be as popular as Spacey's Frank over the course of the show's run.

Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as well as Cody Fern join Wright this season alongside Emmy Award nominee Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson and more.

Tuning into Love Island is NOT optional tonight.

As if the villa hasn't been dramatic enough with all the heartbreaks, heated arguments and flaring romances – they have thrown in this curveball.

Four people will be booted out of the villa this evening and we are SHOOK.

It was pretty easy to have guessed who was exiting as voting opened up last night.

However, these four mightn't be so easy to predict.

The shock eviction was revealed to the Islanders when Ellie gets a text: “Can all Islanders gather around the fire pit immediately.”

Josh then gets another text: “Islanders the public have been voting for their favourite couple. Those with the fewest votes risk being dumped from the Island tonight. As Georgia and Wes are single, they are not included in this vote.”

We will have to tune in to find out who is safe and who gets kicked out.

It's fair to say we are already counting down the hours.

Get the popcorn ready!

Plague Inc., iOS and Android, £0.79

Mobile games often employ a micropayments strategy that allows players to spend more time on the games. Plague Inc. has instead taken the traditional video game approach. Players get the large base game for £0.79, but then they can pay to get the DLC-like added game modes – which include the Planet of the Apes’ Simian Flu and the vampiric Shadow Plague.

In the game, you play as a plague type, such as bacteria, virus, parasite, or prion with the sole intent of infecting and killing everyone in the world. It’s one of the most popular mobile simulation and strategy games because of its exciting and tactical gameplay.

The HSE has revealed that 221 women have been affected by the cervical screening scandal. They shared that the figure jumped from 209 to 221 after an additional 12 cases were confirmed.

HSE Director General John Conaghan shared the new figure with the Public Accounts Committee this morning.

It was also revealed that a review of the affected women’s smear tests has not yet started. The review of over 3,000 smear tests was meant to be completed by May.

The review will be carried out by the Royal College of Obstetricians as well as the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
It was also shared that nearly 40 women have taken a cases against the HSE. Only three cases have been settled so far.

There are currently 35 active cases against the HSE.

Terminally-ill Emma Mhic Mhathúna recently settled her case against the HSE and a lab in the US. The mum-of-five’s case was settled for €7.5 million.

Mum-of-two Vicky Phelan also settled her case for €2.5 million.

Both mums were given incorrect smear test results, delaying their cervical cancer diagnosis.

The Cervical Check controversy has affected thousands of women in Ireland. They were not informed about a clinical audit that was carried out on their results.

It is believed that some of the woman affected by the scandal could have benefited from an early diagnosis.

If you are heading on your holidays, let's hope it isn't on July 12.

Ryanair cabin crew have signalled that they are joining pilots in their strike action.

Earlier this week, Ryanair was served a notice of industrial action on behalf of Ryanair pilots by Irish Airline Pilots’ Association (IALPA).

The union revealed that 99 percent of their member supported the ballot calling for the action.

The results of Tuesday's ballot confirmed that a 24-hour strike would take place on Thursday, July 12, at 1 am.

Cabin crew have now announced they will accompany pilots in their work stoppage if their demands are not met.

The Ryanair staff penned their requirements which covered pay, work rotates, annual leave, pensions and compensation.

Last night it was submitted to management.

The move to create a list of demands was branded "pointless" by Ryanair.

Commenting on the development, union official Oliver Richardson said:

"We are a federation. We don't call strike action… strike action is called by our affiliates.

"As a federation, would we support as best as we could those affiliates in taking that action? Of course, we would."

The airline has stated talks are already underway with unions to negotiate the issues raised.

Fingers and toes crossed it gets sorted!
