Ladies, it's mere hours (squeee!) until the whistle will be blown to officially kick off the Halloween Bank Holiday weekend.

But if you've yet to nab yourself a ticket to an event this weekend, don't panic and suddenly resign yourself to a night of trick or treating.

Dublin has truly outdone itself this year, with countless events and attractions lending an air of the surreal to our capital city.

And here, ladies, are the absolute best.

1. Stokerland

Open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, this family-friendly theme park will give you the opportunity to experience Halloween through the eyes of a child in the 1800s.

2. The Nightmare Realm

Touted as Ireland’s most terrifying scare house, The Nightmare Realm in the RDS will be accepting Ireland's bravest visitors until well into next week.

3. Bleedin’ Deadly 

This incredible event kicking off tomorrow night is your chance to immerse yourself in freak show culture, and is PERFECT for you if your Halloween is more about the freak than the creep.

4. Urban Legends

Taking place in Smithfield Square at 7pm this October 31, this event will walk you through some of your capital city's most infamous characters…

5. Prohibition: The Beautiful and the Damned

Inject a little ghoulish sophistication into this year’s festivities by donning a flapper dress, downing a gin punch and dancing your soul out to a mix of vintage and electro swing DJ at the Irish Museum of Modern Art on Saturday October 29.

6. Macnas Parade

Taking to the streets to celebrate the eerie wonder that is Halloween, Macnas, the world-renowned pioneers of imagination and invention, will be parading through Dublin’s Moore St and Henry St on October 31, and you have the chance to see it!

7. Mother Stoker's Sickly Stories

Taking place on Friday October 28 in North Great Georges Street, the Pygmankenstein Theatre Company and The Gremlin will introduce three writers who will lead you through the life of Bram Stoker – the Dubliner behind Dracula.

8. Monster Season

Kicking off tomorrow night, the Lighthouse Cinema will be showing a series of classic monster movies – and they do, as always, encourage more than a little fancy dress.

9. Wild Spirit

If you're more into the spiritual side of Halloween, then you need to get involved with Wild Spirit – a yoga-focussed, music-fuelled, foodie event celebrating one of the most atmospheric times of the year.

And finally…

10. Halloween Haunted Spooktacular Event

OK, you're going to have to let us away on this one because it's actually in Meath, but you'd hate us for not flagging it!

Put yourself at the mercy of the people behind Ireland’s largest scare attraction by making your way through the Haunted Corn Maze before trying to make it out The Laboratory alive…

Congratulations are in order for Grey's Anatomy star Camilla Luddington who has announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Matthew Alan. 

The 32-year-old, who plays Jo Wilson on the hit show, took to Instagram to reveal her happy news via a very Halloween-inspired post, and couldn't contain her excitement. 

"I am SO excited to FINALLY share with you all new that I've managed to keep secret for what seems like forever now… I am pregnant! This girl gets to be a 'cool mom' ha! [sic]" the actress captioned the photo. 

"We are beyond happy and I cannot wait to bring you all on this journey with me! I'll be posting progress pics as the weeks go on but for now I figured I'd post this pumpkin because come spring I'll have a belly that size." 

However, eagle-eyed fans had already spotted a little bump on a video that she appeared in, and this did not go unnoticed by the star. 

"So much love to you all and nods of respect to the few of you who guessed right in the past few months – yes I saw your comments on that Ellen [Pompeo]/me video!! Love Camilla xxxx," she wrote. 

Camilla and Alan have been together for ten years, and we couldn't be happier for the couple.

She recently surprised fans by taking her relationship with Liam Hemsworth back into the public eye, and now Miley Cyrus has spoken openly for the first time about her engagement.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, the Wrecking Ball singer chatted casually with the famous host about her engagement ring.

Upon being asked about a picture which shows her wearing a colourful piece of jewellery alongside the simple diamond ring, Miley explained that wearing “real jewellery” is weird for her because most of her jewellery “is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy”.

She then suggested that the clash of styles doesn’t always work and confessed to sometimes replacing the ring with more playful pieces.

Miley said: “This is really weird because this is like real jewellery and most of my jewellery is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy and they don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up.”

“So sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney tune a he’s kind of like, ‘What’s going on?’ I am like, ‘This isn’t really my aesthetic but I’ll wear it because you love me.’”

Earlier this year, Miley was spotted wearing the ring – which was first given to her by her Hunger Games beau back in 2012 – shortly after they were pictured together in Australia and LA.

Despite the near persistent presence of the rock, in March Liam denied that his and Miley’s engagement was back on.

But given that Miley made no attempt to end her conversation with Ellen today, it seems wedding bells could at long last be on the way.

Even though Barb wasn't a main character in Stranger Things, it's safe to say we all felt for her and what she had to go through.

With bright freckles (which are beautiful btw), plaid shirts and thick-rimmed glasses, she was seen as the outsider of the group, but wait until you see what she looks like in real life.

Shannon Purser who plays Barb is really glam in her normal life and often takes to Instagram to share gorgeous selfies and fab outfit pics.

Even though it looked like she was killed in the first season of the show, it hasn't been confirmed if Barb will be back for season two.

However, rumours started swirling that Shannon might be starring in the Gilmore Girls reboot when she shared a picture of her working alongside Melissa McCarthy.

Look, we'd be lying if we said we ever thought Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian were the best of friends, but we assumed there was an adequate level of warmth between the pair.

Well, it turns out we assumed wrongly.

With their husbands having worked alongside each other for years, it was inevitable that Beyoncé and Kim would have to share a drink, dinner or front row from time to time, but as far as Beyoncé was concerned the relationship was purely circumstantial.

In the wake of Kanye's rant against her husband, word has gotten out that there's no love lost between Beyoncé and Ye's wife either.

Speaking to Page Six, a source close to the Drunk in Love singer said: "Beyonce has never genuinely liked Kim."

"She’s mostly tolerated her because of their husbands’ friendship and their mutual friends, like Jennifer Lopez. She is always a little icy to Kim."

In a toe-curling description of the pair's dynamic, the insider added: "The last time they hung out, the minute Beyonce could leave the conversation, she did. They always have lots of awkward pauses. when they speak."

We're guessing Queen Bey is secretly thrilled Ye went off on Jay if it means she can permanently cut ties with the Kardashian-Wests.

Sherlock fans have been eagerly awaiting season four since the New Years special in January.

And it looks like we won't have to wait much longer for Benedict Cumberbatch to hit our TV screens again.

It has been announced that season four will air on January 1 2017 on BBC1. Yaaaas!

The official Twitter page for Sherlock announced the news last night which then sent fans into an absolute frenzie.

For only working seven months, you'll be paid $50,000 (€45,000) to go to as many NCAA championships as possible. It includes 90 games which span from basketball to hockey to volleyball and basically everything in between.

And can going to basketball matches while getting paid a ball load of money actually be counted as 'work'? Nope, it sounds like a dream to us…

Considering the fact she's been incredibly open about her nose job, it's surprising that Ferne McCann's fans and followers are adamant the star has had lip fillers and won't admit to it.

After opening up about the insecurities she's felt over her nose, Ferne happily revealed the results of surgery on This Morning.

So, why she would conceal further surgery if she has, indeed, had it?

"I'm sick and tired of people saying I've had my lips done," Ferne complained. "It's really starting to annoy me now. People always pick up on it."

31-year-old Ferne, who insists her plump pout is down to clever make-up work, seems reluctant to be 'part of the group' that opts for Kylie Jenner's look.

"I think because there's that craze of people having their lips done and people put me in that group – and I don't wanna be in that group," she admitted.

Speaking to Heat magazine, Ferne accepted the fact her lips have become a talking point due to the effort she puts into them, but insists her nose was her 'only insecurity'.

"I must admit in some pictures it can look OTT, but when you do your make-up I think you want your lips to look fuller and juicy and that pouty look."

So that's that, then.

We all know that Ireland has a very serious homeless crisis on its hands right now.

Single people, couples and families are finding themselves without a place to call their own or to even lay their head. 

Focus Ireland – Ireland’s homeless charity – is doing all it can to help the 6,611 people who have nowhere to call home, but they can’t do it without adequate funds.

So, to raise awareness of the crisis AND money, Radical have combined technology and innovation and created the country’s first interactive contactless donation station.

As part of this year’s Shine a Light campaign, Radical – which is a Core Media company – used innovative technology and new digital screen formats to showcase the reality faced by families who are homeless for passers-by around Grand Canal Quay.

Placing an interactive digital screen in the window of Core Media’s HQ in Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, the team have created a scene of a family who have become newly homeless.

The mother and son who feature appeal to people for help as they pass by the screen.

And helping couldn't be easier; the interactive screen allows people to donate with one tap of their debit card on the contactless point in real-time.

Straight afterwards, the screen informs people where their contribution will be made – and just how much they’ve helped.

“I moved to Dublin six years ago and I’ve lived and worked in the inner city ever since," Cian Corbett, Business Director with Radical, said.

"I was always very aware of the homeless problem in Dublin, but I am truly shocked at how it’s been escalating in recent years.”

To date, the team have raised over €14,500 for Focus Ireland and have their sights set on raising much more.

It's safe to say any Friends fans would love to spend a moment in the famous Central Perk, have a few sips of coffee and hear someone sing a rendition of Smelly Cat.

However, if you're a Friends fan in Singapore, you're going to be bitterly disappointed.

The "official Central Perk" made an announcement yesterday that in November 'Central Perk SG' will open in Singapore, but you'll have to pay a pretty penny to gain membership.

The coffee shop is charging 1000 Singapore dollars (€660) for "exclusive benefits" in the cafe.

According to the cafe's Facebook page, the membership will include a priority queue, invites for five guests, table reservations, event bookings and access to pre-launch parties.

We don't know about you, but there's no hope in Hell we'd pay that much. Sorry Friends, but you lost us here.

Fans were shocked last month when rumours started to emerge that St Vincent was dating Kristen Stewart. After all, St Vincent had only broke up with Cara Delevingne a month beforehand.

But now it seems the pair are smitten with each other as they made their first public appearance together.

The women made their debut at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show in Hollywood yesterday.

They arrived together and sat beside each other as they enjoyed the show with other celebs including Emma Stone and Katy Perry.

Even though the romance seemed quick, they both look pretty happy together.

We just wonder what Cara thinks about it…
