Singapore

To be perfectly honest, if you took the most average venue in the world and threw some wizarding props in it- we would go.

Harry Potter | ELLE UK JAN 2017

Seriously, any Harry Potter related ANYTHING is worth a look, or a visit.

With that in mind, we give you Platform 1094, a Harry Potter themed café located in the heart of Singapore.

The delightful little restaurant is decorated with patronous furniture, wizards hats, wand and so much more.

The menu is also sheer magic, with a Goblet of Fire cocktail that actually lights up (amazing).

There are also main courses, and a delightful array of baked goods that feature Harry Potter inspired decorations (chocolate frogs galore!)

All in all, Platform 1094 looks amazing, and we simply must visit.

It's safe to say any Friends fans would love to spend a moment in the famous Central Perk, have a few sips of coffee and hear someone sing a rendition of Smelly Cat.

However, if you're a Friends fan in Singapore, you're going to be bitterly disappointed.

The "official Central Perk" made an announcement yesterday that in November 'Central Perk SG' will open in Singapore, but you'll have to pay a pretty penny to gain membership.

The coffee shop is charging 1000 Singapore dollars (€660) for "exclusive benefits" in the cafe.

According to the cafe's Facebook page, the membership will include a priority queue, invites for five guests, table reservations, event bookings and access to pre-launch parties.

We don't know about you, but there's no hope in Hell we'd pay that much. Sorry Friends, but you lost us here.

If you fancy visiting a hotel with a bit of a difference, you should definitely put Singapore’s Park Royal hotel on your to-do list.

The hotel, which was designed by WOHA architects, features not one but six sky gardens that will leave you in awe of the designers.

The green areas wrap around the hotel’s glassy exterior and guests are even treated to tropical gardens right outside their windows.

The gardens not only feature 15,000 square metres of reflecting pools, waterfalls, planters, outdoor hallways poolside bird cages and greenery, but it is also pretty good at energy and water conservation.

It was designed as a sustainable project and even has a zero-energy sky garden; not surprisingly, it has won more than 12 awards for its design and sustainability.

Unfortunately, the hotel which cost $350million to build  doesn’t come cheap and rooms start from about €230.
