She's made no secret of her desire to start a family with her husband Adam Shulman – and now multiple sources are reporting that Anne Hathaway is indeed pregnant.

Most telling of all, however, is the Oscar-winning actress's noticeable baby bump – which was in plain sight as she stepped out with her producer spouse in Beverly Hills earlier this week.

"Anne is in her second trimester and feeling great!" one friend told E! News [where you can also view her bump].

It is thought that New York native has now begun to joyously spread the word among family and close friends.

Back in September at the London premiere of her forthcoming film The Intern, rumour was already abound that she was expecting – but she refused to confirm or deny the speculation.

However, another friend earlier today stated: "Anne still felt it was early days in September and was happier waiting another few weeks before spreading the good news.

"That and she really didn't want to have one of those long, drawn-out celebrity pregnancies.

"Both she and Adam are quite private and she made the decision to keep everything under wraps for as long as possible."

It is believed that the 33-year-old is due sometime in March.

Last year, while promoting Rio 2, she said: "I’ve wanted to be a mother since I was 16, but I also just knew I wanted to have a career as well.

"So now I think that I’m getting to an age when I don’t know exactly when that moment will be but I think I’m coming upon it."

She and Adam, 34, married in California in September 2012 – with Anne wearing a striking pink-tinged Valentino gown.

When it comes to her generous mane, she has had – let's be honest – her fair share of total disasters.

And while we've actually been big fans of some of her more daring brightly-coloured mops – Kylie Jenner as a blonde was brassy, while her cornrows (eeek!) were just a horror.

Still, it's recently come to our attention that the 18-year-old reality TV star's tresses are at their ABSOLUTE best right now. Finally! In fact, we dare say we've never seen them look better.

One recent snap on her Instagram page – where she is promoting LyfeTea clad in a skin-tight white skirt and top – has now notched up more than a million likes, with thousands of commentators compelled to remark on her luscious locks.

A selfie of Ms Jenner dressed in a matching sand-coloured crop top and trousers was also similarly lauded for displaying her new hair to its full, gorgeous effect.

We say, let's give a hearty pat on the back to her hair stylist – the talented Chris Dylan.

Along with makeup artist to the stars Joyce Bonelli, he is responsible for creating the Kardashian-Jenners's always totally glamorous, wonderfully OTT looks (oh for a sneak peak at his kit bag).

During the summer, the younger Ms Jenner revealed that her own hair was seriously damaged after years of colouring, styling and straightening.

She furthermore admitted that it "took months of not dyeing my hair and wearing wigs to get my hair back to health".

Back to health it most certainly is now: full and healthy – we definitely have ALL SORTS of major hair envy in the run-up to the festive party season.

Sadly, Chris Dylan hasn't divulged just yet what he's done to achieve his client's striking new look.

However, he is an ambassador for Gold Fever hair extensions (a brand which is, incidentally, overseen by Irish businesswoman Katie Jane Gold) and indeed, he sports wonderfully long, totally luscious Gold Fever locks himself.

Of course, Kylie LOVES to change up her look regularly (she could be digging out that green wig again next week) – but this is one trend we really hope she hangs on to for a while yet.

This year marks the first year that retailers in Ireland have properly embraced the idea of Black Friday, with hundreds of stores offering shopping discounts today and over the weekend.

One store manager – from Ecco Shoes on Grafton St – described this morning's scenes at 6.30am as "pandemonium," telling Today FM he had "queues down the street."

Thankfully though, the crazed shopping madness has yet to reach its peak here, in comparison to the US and the UK.

Many US retailers opened on Thanksgiving Day this year, meaning that today's Black Friday queues have lessened a bit compared to 2014 – but a look at the above video will prove there's still a LOT of people out there wanting bargains.

And some of the Reuters photos from today and last year have us thinking online shopping might be the way to go for the next… well, forever.

1. Ah, just a relaxed stroll through the tunnel of doom

2. At least this woman's headgear is on point

3. HANDBAGS, everywhere.

4. The zombies shoppers have arrived

5. You can really feel the love in this picture

6. Everyone's just having a great time, y'know?

7. We bet this poor lad was happy to get home after his shift ended

8. And this lad, crushed into a corner by TVs

9. No. Just no. We're done.

There is no greater pleasure in the world than a greasy chipper meal when you're in need of sustenance.

Other nations may beg to differ, but we truly believe Ireland has the monopoly on hangover food.

In fact, we already have one famous fan from other shores – X Factor host Olly Murs, who admitted recently that he loves a good 3-in-1.

This mix of egg fried rice, chips and curry sauce can be bought for a few quid at almost any Chinese takeaway, though it's not remotely Asian, really.

Olly told The Times magazine recently that a 3-in-1 is his "guilty pleasure"… though he's still struggling to get the name right.

"In Ireland it’s called a trio," he said of the classic chipper meal. "All you need is a spoon."

3-in-1, trio… we guess to someone whose ear isn't finely attuned to the complexities of the Irish accent, they might indeed sound the same.

So Olly loves the 3-in-1, but what does he make of the Spar Chicken Fillet Roll? Or the Tayto Sandwich? Equally tasty Irish delicacies, all.

PS: If, like us, you're now suddenly tempted to leg it down to the Chinese for a curry-chip-rice combo, you might find this homemade healthy version works a treat too.

Yesterday a whole host of US-based celeby-types were sharing pictures and clips of their Thanksgiving celebrations. There was turkey, there were pies of sorts, there was more turkey.

It all looked mighty like our own Christmas Day… albeit with no Mass and no hour-long Mrs Brown's Boys special.

And how lovely too to see the entire, quirky Kardashian-Jenner clan come together.

Youngest of the bunch Kylie was even happy to share an Instagram snap of her "blended" family.

In fact, just about everyone – Kim and Kanye; Kris and Kris's beau-of a year Corey Gamble; an accepted-back-into-fold Tyga; Khloe; all the grandkids, and even the once beleaguered Scott Disick – showed up en masse for the celebration.

Hosted by 65-year-old Caitlyn at her sprawling Malibu home, fans online were quick to ask the question on everyone's lips: just where is Rob Kardashian… and WHO is the guy on the far left of the picture?

Rob, of course, has largely retired from public life over the last couple of years – with the 28-year-old reportedly still battling with his weight.

Indeed, many fans suggested that rather than step in front of the lens, the self-conscious Mr Kardashian would have been more comfortable in the role of photographer for the occasion.

That doesn't, however, clear up the presence of that mystery man – although some observers suggested he was merely a close family friend who had been invited to attend the gathering.

Anyone know WHO he is?

Jingle Bells, Driving Home For Christmas, All I Want For Christmas Is You… plus a thousand more carols we've definitely never heard before.

Christmas FM has been providing us with familiar and not-so-familiar festive tunes for eight years now, and it returns this Saturday November 28 at midday.

With the Late Late Toy Show taking place tonight and the radio airwaves getting a festive makeover tomorrow, Christmas has well and truly arrived. Even if you'd rather it hadn't.

Whether or not you're a fan of Christmas FM's annual month-long broadcast, we'll bet you can't resist tuning in even for one or two songs. After all, they have to play Mariah Carey at least once a day, surely?

The main radio frequencies for Christmas FM this year are:

-Dublin City and County: 94.3FM
-Dublin Commuter Belt: 88.1FM
-Limerick: 105.5FM
-Galway: 89.5FM
-Cork: 106.7FM
-South East: 103.8FM
-North Midland: 101.6FM
-North East: 99.4FM
-North Wicklow: 99.5FM.

Over the last eight years, the not-for-profit station has raised over €600,000 for ISPCC, Barnardos, Simon, Focus Ireland, Age Action and Aware.

In the spirit of giving, Christmas FM is funded by sponsorship and manned by a team of over 100 volunteers, with each devoting between 20 and 50 hours of their time.

Only a Scrooge would argue with that, we reckon.

If things had gone differently, we'd know Gigi Hadid by a very different name these day.

She may have one of the most perfect supermodel monikers now, but Gigi actually grew up as Jelena Noura Hadid.

Yeah, it doesn't quite roll off the tongue does it?

According to Gigi: "A teacher asked my mom, 'If I needed to call Jelena a nickname, what would it be?' And my mom was like, 'I call her Gigi sometimes,' and the name stuck."

Thank goodness for that!

It turns out that the majority of our favourite celebrities were not actually born with their rock star names. Check out this list of some mundane, some surprising and some ridiculous celebrity name changes.

1) Suki Waterhouse

Suki is actually this British model's middle name. Her first name is actually Alice!

But apparently her ex beau Bradley Cooper used to use her real name and as you can imagine, people were a bit puzzled.

"I told him that that was my name when we first met, and I called him something else, too. It was just something fun, but then I stopped and he didn't, so he introduced me to everyone as Alice. It confuses people sometimes… "

2) Blake Lively

The lovely Blake's real name does not have quite the ring to it. Blake's real surname is Brown but her father opted to break the marital tradition and take the surname of Blake's Mum, Elaine instead.

Blake Brown. Not so much.

3) Jude Law

Jude Law is actually not a Jude at all, but a David. He decided to use his middle name as his celebrity persona.

It is quite amazing that the name Jude adds about ten times more sex appeal.

4) Elizabeth Banks

Elizabeth Irene Mitchell was the real name of this famous lady. As Elizabeth rose to fame, she was forced to change her name as there was another Elizabeth Mitchell working in the biz (you may recognise her from Lost).

How did she choose her stage name?

"I made a list and then alphabetised it, and Banks was the first one on the list. And I called [the Screen Actors Guild] and they said it was available, so I said, ‘I’ll take it!’ I just wanted it over with!”

5) Lily James

Lily changed her surname from Thomson to James to honour her late father, James Thomson, who died in a car crash in 2008.

6) Calvin Harris

Calvin's real name is actually Adam Wiles.

As for why he changed his perfectly normal name to another perfectly normal name, we have no idea.

7) Katy Perry

Having a name that sounds too similar to another star sounds like a pretty common problem for celebrities.

Katy Perry changed her name from Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson because it was decided it sounded too similar to Kate Hudson.

8) Olivia Wilde

Olivia changed her surname from Cockburn in favour of adopting the surname of Oscar Wilde.

Why you ask? To honour coming from a family full of writers (even though she has no relation to Oscar whatsoever).

9) Joaquin Pheonix

Joaquin's whole family changed their surname from Bottom to Pheonix after leaving a religious CULT.

We can understand why they would have wanted to leave that past behind them, but we think changing the surname Bottom was a good idea in general.

10) Helen Mirren

In perhaps the most shocking reason EVER for a name change, Helen Mirren was actually born Ilynea Lydia Mironoff.

The Oscar winning actress and her family were stranded in London during the Russian Revolution and her father decided to change her name to avoid being her being treated suspiciously during the Cold War!

11) Nicolas Cage

Did you know that Nicolas Cage was the nephew of legendary director Franics Ford Coppola?

Well as you can imagine that surname is pretty well know which is why he changed his surname to Cage so that people would not discover the link. We think it worked!

If Barbie were to take human form – and we mean in a pleasant way, not in a surgically enhanced 30JJ boobs way – we reckon she'd be a dead ringer for Reese Witherspoon.

So it seems fitting that the actress has just bought the movie rights to a book about the famous Mattel doll and how she came to be.

After critical acclaim – and an Oscar nomination – for her self-produced films Wild and Gone Girl, Reese has set plans in motion for another dinger of a movie.

Robin Gerber's 2012 tome, The Story of the World’s Most Famous Doll and the Woman Who Created Her, details Barbie's history and that of her creator, Ruth Handler.

Before Barbie's time, most dolls for kids took the form of children, rather than adults. Ruth became inspired to create a more modern, worldly doll after watching her young daughter playing with paper dolls.

In fact, the doll's original design was based on a German "adult toy" named Bilb Lilli that Ruth and her Mattel-employed husband found while travelling around Europe.

While Barbie dolls have been criticised in the past for giving young girls unrealistic beauty ideals, Reese's film will no doubt take a more well-rounded view.

The actress has been called a "modern-day feminist" for her campaign to feature women in stronger film roles, and says it's something that needs to change both on screen and off.

"Women make up 50 percent of the population and we should be playing 50 percent of the roles on the screen," she said last month at the American CInematheque Fete.

"We need more female surgeons, supreme court justices and soldiers – but on screen. Not just as the girlfriends to famous men."

There's no production date for Reese's new film yet, but we're already excited.

We may be battling flu season, the common cold and the dreaded annual throat infection this winter, but scientists believe we have another contagion to be worried about: Rudeness.

Yep, studies conducted at the University of Florida have concluded that people who regularly witness rude behaviour amongst their peers are more susceptible to adopting rude behaviour themselves.

Even more dangerously perhaps is that the study also revealed that a person who witnessed a lot of negative behaviour in their day to day life tended to also interpret normal behaviour as rude. This, in turn, can result in them reacting rudely.

We are talking about a never ending cycle of meanness people!

The studies involved showing test subjects videos of co-workers interacting both positively and negatively towards each other. The viewers were then asked to respond to customer service emails.

The participants who had viewed the rude interaction video were more likely to interpret a moderately worded email as extremely rude and respond accordingly.

Another study paired individuals with rude team members to test their reaction. The experiment showed that the subject tended to be increasingly rude in their further interactions after being paired with a not so nice person.

So, we think the lesson here y'all is to just be nice. Simples!

It's just a box shaped bag but it is taking fashionistas around the world by storm.

Not only have they been commonplace on the catwalks from spring/summer right through to winter but Alexa Chung has a Dolce & Gabbana one that she literally wears to death.

These quirky little accessories can add a vintage and eclectic vibe to any look and the real bonus is that they translate easily from day to night.

For a grown up night-time outfit, pair your box bag with a tailored silhouette or any throwback piece for that matter. For added cuteness, make like Suki Waterhouse and match that lippie to your box bag.

For a more formal casual look, try a softer shaped box bag with a strap and pair with a fitted blazer. Taylor Swift knows what's up.

Or make like Alexa and opt for the ultimate in casual cool.

Wear your box bag with distressed denim, a slouchy jumper or printed T-shirt and finish with a pair of trainers. Perfecto.

Think INSIDE the box, with these bad boys:

New Look Croc Mini Box Bag, €19.99
JD Williams Box Clutch, €49.99, jdwilliams.co.uk
Penneys PU Mono Body Bag, €11
River Island Slogan Box Bag, €45

Storm Barney and his 125 km/h winds had barely died down when the first signs of snowfall hit the country last week.

And it looks like the extreme weather is not over yet, as it's just been reported that there's a washout weekend ahead for Ireland.

November will finish up just as it started – with lashing rain, harsh winds and the odd flood.

Although the weather is currently quite mild, Met Eireann warn that heavy rainfall will be "widespread" across the country this evening, along with strong blustery winds.

Temperatures will remain just above freezing, hovering between 1 and 5C.

If you were planning to start your Christmas shopping come Saturday, you might want to think twice before heading outside, as there's more heavy rain expected, and danger of "gale force winds."

To top it all off, there are "risks of spot flooding" predicted for Sunday. Charming.

It's been a fortnight of harsh weather, as this day last week saw the first snowfall of 2015, though thankfully it was short-lived.

Monaghan, Derry and even various parts of Dublin were graced with the first flurry of the season – people in Sandyford, Rathmines, Clontarf, Donaghbate and more all reported seeing snowflakes falling.

And just days beforehand, the country bore the brunt of Storm Barney, with almost 50,000 people left without power due to fallen power lines.

Oh Ireland, when will you let us catch a break?
