Love it or hate it, Christmas FM is BACK… and here’s how to tune in

Jingle Bells, Driving Home For Christmas, All I Want For Christmas Is You… plus a thousand more carols we've definitely never heard before.

Christmas FM has been providing us with familiar and not-so-familiar festive tunes for eight years now, and it returns this Saturday November 28 at midday.

With the Late Late Toy Show taking place tonight and the radio airwaves getting a festive makeover tomorrow, Christmas has well and truly arrived. Even if you'd rather it hadn't.

Whether or not you're a fan of Christmas FM's annual month-long broadcast, we'll bet you can't resist tuning in even for one or two songs. After all, they have to play Mariah Carey at least once a day, surely?

The main radio frequencies for Christmas FM this year are:

-Dublin City and County: 94.3FM
-Dublin Commuter Belt: 88.1FM
-Limerick: 105.5FM
-Galway: 89.5FM
-Cork: 106.7FM
-South East: 103.8FM
-North Midland: 101.6FM
-North East: 99.4FM
-North Wicklow: 99.5FM.

Over the last eight years, the not-for-profit station has raised over €600,000 for ISPCC, Barnardos, Simon, Focus Ireland, Age Action and Aware.

In the spirit of giving, Christmas FM is funded by sponsorship and manned by a team of over 100 volunteers, with each devoting between 20 and 50 hours of their time.

Only a Scrooge would argue with that, we reckon.
