Speaking of the tour Elton John says “The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the last fifty years. To celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared with my fans over the years will be wonderful. These shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun.”
Kicking off in the U.S. in September, the ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour has already been greeted with a wealth of praise from critics and fans alike. The three-year tour will consist of more than 300 shows across five continents, hitting North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia before reaching its conclusion in 2021.
By the end of this week, over half a million fans will already have witnessed the tour. These dates mark the superstar’s last-ever tour and the end of half a century on the road for one of pop culture’s most enduring performers, who was recently named as the most successful male solo artist in Billboard Hot 100 chart history, having logged 67 entries, including nine No. 1s and 27 Top 10s.
Elton’s new stage production will take his fans on a musical and highly visual journey spanning a 50-year career of hits like no one has ever seen before.
It may be two years away but we are SO excited to see the legend in concert.
The moment has arrived! Today, November 8, the McDonald’s McDelivery service has launched in Ireland. Whether watching the football with mates or having a family get together, McDonald’s fans can now enjoy their favourite menu items delivered to their door.
The McDelivery service, in partnership with UberEATS, is available to anyone within one and a half miles of participating Irish McDonald’s restaurants. The service will roll out across Dublin, Galway and Cork in phase one, kicking off on November 8, 2018.
“We are delighted to be introducing the McDelivery service to Ireland, after months of planning and lots of questions from McDonald’s lovers – we can finally reveal that the time has come, offering yet another level of convenience to our loyal customers.
"It’s exciting that we’re now able to provide our freshly made, great tasting food to customers in Ireland in a way that suits their busy lives,” said Sarah Carter, McDonald’s Director of Operations for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
How it works:
The McDelivery service promises to deliver favourite menu items at the click of an app, bringing more choice, control and personalisation than ever before. The McDelivery option on UberEATS will feature McDonald’s breakfast, lunch and dinner options and will be available within 1.5 miles of the participating McDonald’s restaurant from 8am – midnight, seven days a week.

'One taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain'
The now iconic lyrics of Ariana Grande's new HELLA SPICY self-love song that has shaken the globe.
The tune features lines about her last four serious ex-boyfriends: Ricky Alvarez, Mac Miller, Big Sean and of course, Pete Davidson.
TBH we all expected her to shrow some (lamp) shade all around, especially seeing as Pete Davidson recently made a far-too-soon joke about their engagement, but Ari took the highest road of all, and said 'Thank you, next' to immaturity.
She's a far bigger person than we are, morally, that's for sure.
We've taken the liberty to dig up the most hilarious 'Thank You, next' memes on the net, and boy have we hit the jackpot of comedy. Buckle up, lads.
1. Shrek is love, Shrek is life. Apparently Ariana Grande fans concur with this statement? Who knew.
2. The twist on the most famous line from Notting Hill, and possibly one of the greatest Hugh Grant rom-com quotes, was tweeted by Ari herself. Though who would shrug off Julia Roberts?
Pretty much just constant pain though… let's not lie to ourselves.
7. What romantic triple threat could skip the Gilmore Girls? Those boys had our hearts, Jess was always our personal fave but WE LOVED THEM ALL. Who are we kidding?
Those boys had us feeling all kinds of emotions, much like Ari's entire new album, Sweetener.
In light of everything Queen Grande been through over the last few years, Ariana makes sure to confirm to her fans that the most important relationship she has is with herself.
She's dead right, we say. As Ru Paul affirms: "If you can't love yourself, how the hell are you gonna love anyone else?"
God is a woman, but these memes need their own religion.
Claire Underwood dominated the newest season of House of Cards, finally becoming the boss bitch she was always meant to be.
The first female president – something that has become less and less far fetched as of recent years. And most likely, will happen during our lifetime.
But how do you dress someone for a role that hasn’t happened yet?
This is why Claire’s wardrobe was a vital part of her powerful character. She needed clothes that would tell those around her that she will not be seen as anything less than number one – commander-in-chief of the U.S.
And her designer Kemal Harris devoted her time to creating just that – an outfit that would intimidate and gain respect before Claire even began to speak.
Each one-of-a kind ensemble we see Madame President in throughout season six was crafted specifically for Robin Wright (Claire) using a mannequin made to her exact measurements.
Prevalent colours include Presidential blue, army green, jet black and business grey, all of which exude authority.
Most of her suits are this navy blue colour, comprised of a fitted-top and pencil skirt, and have a distinct collar. And what you’ll also notice is that each outfit has french sleeves, so she can wear her unique, presidential cufflinks.
These cufflinks have been a tradition for each man that has sat in the oval office over the years, so it is only fitting Claire gets her power piece as well.
Double-breasted buttons, a slim, masculine belt, and defined shoulders also detail her various pantsuits throughout the show. Because of these added details, articles have called her wardrobe “villainess”, “military-like”, and “utilitarian”.
In an interview, her designer agreed that her pantsuits portrayed this dictator vibe and did so on purpose.
“Claire is in battle this final season,” Kemal explained. She is under massive amounts of pressure, fighting against her former husband’s legacy and his former political ties as well.
When the Vice President approaches her in the evening, even her pajamas carry on this vibe. The navy silk pjs are designed with clean lines and a buttoned up collar underneath.
She is always prepared for whatever comes her way and she needs to be as such a controversial figure.
My favourite suit by far is the one she wears in episode four (spoiler alert!) to Cathy’s funeral. It is all black with a thin red line that crosses her body like a military sash, secured by a single button on her shoulder.
This is the first time we see her working behind the scenes, undermining the ‘trusted council’ she has around her by securing a deal with Petrov. It is her first big power play and fittingly takes place at the funeral of the murder she arranged.
She is shown as a threatening and dangerous military commander using brilliant tactics to reserve her position of power.
You’ll also notice that Claire is not seen carrying a handbag once throughout the season. Her designer said this small detail was necessary to solidify her authority (she has those of lower positions to carry her stuff now). It also equivocates her to her male predecessors as does the other aspects of her wardrobe.
These suits emanate prestige strength in their untouchable and sharp look. She is no longer nurturer to her male counterpart and former husband but the supreme leader of the nation, always ready to command as chief.
And she does so in her iconic black patent Christian Louboutin heels. Because even though her suits strip her to simply an authority figure, her heels remind her enemies that her feminine power is stronger than anything they have ever dealt with before.
In fact, by the way she is leading the country one could make the case that she is a better president than Frank ever could have been. She does not possess his fatal flaw – 'male ego' (as Claire calls it).

Those of us who go head-to-head with our oily skin daily will relate to the eternal struggle of wanting to have hydrated skin, but trying not to look like a high-shine mirror throwing out spotlight reflections from our faces. IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK, PEOPLE?
It’s fine. I’m fine. The shine show must go on.
Now that it’s Winter, the game is changing. We’ve put together a Beauty Bible of sorts on the Great Oily Skin Battle of 2018. It’s a thing.
Our skin of course is more than just dry, oily, acne-prone etc. We are nuanced beings, and this is no different when it comes to our skin.
The question is, why do some of us suffer more from oily skin in the winter, and others suffer with dryness?
It seems unfair, between having to glue ourselves to our hot water bottles and getting up when it’s still dark, why should our skin be causing us problems on top of that?
Michele Farber of Schweiger Dermatology Group claims that: “Skin can become more oily as a mechanism to compensate for excess dryness. The skin will overcompensate in sebum or oil production to moisturise itself.”
Rude much? Never fear, we're here to save the shiny day. Here are our top tips for combating oily skin during winter, thank us later…
You might think that moisturising skin which is already oily is a mistake, how ever oily skin compensates for excess dryness, so keeping it hydrated is KEY.
The right moisturiser for you is like getting a bra fitting, it can be a hassle but so worth the results if you’re patient enough. Each and every one of us has unique skin cells, so it can be next to impossible to find the skin regime for us.
There are dozens and dozens of moisturisers on the market, but our personal recommendation is to use one with Vitamin E.
Yon-Ka ESSENTIALS have the BEST lotion on the market – it’s an alcohol free invigorating mist for normal to oily skin and contains five essential oils. Their ESSENTIALS range start your beauty regime the right way- with cleansing.
They work to gently purity and optimise the effectiveness of your everyday care regimen, and leaves your skin soft and hydrated.
Use after cleansing and spray onto the face as a mist in the morning and at night for best results.
3. Avoid using petroleum jelly
According to make-up artist Katey Denno, petroleum jelly (Vaseline) can create the illusion of granting us moisturised skin, but actually the substance suffocates your pores.
It’s water-repellant and not water-soluble, so it actually just seals the barrier so that moisture cannot leave the skin.
Basically you're actually drying out your pores by keeping out the air and moisture, while it's thick texture makes it tricky to cleanse the skin. It's literally a lose-lose, gals.
Hot showers in the winter are widely recognised as stripping your skin of it’s essential oils, thereby preventing it from achieving moisture.
By using tea tree oil with warm water, this makes up for the loss of moisture and brings your skin back to its supple self in no time.
5. It’s all about keeping the pores happy
Changes in the weather make our pores hella cranky.
Environmental causes are some of the major factors in skin issues, meaning that our pores have a bit of a ‘mare in the winter especially. Our skin has its own survival techniques which can be the bane of our facial lives, but really it’s just trying to do it’s job.
6. Don’t let it dry out
Farber also claims that “If your skin is dry, it’ll often feel tight and have a white-ish flaking more diffused all over the face. Oily skin will often concentrate around sebaceous areas, like the T-zone, and pores in this areas may be visibly larger.”
Dry skin translates to an overproduction of sebum and oils, most likely because of the extreme temperate changes from freezing cold outdoors to overheated indoors.
7. Keeping your skin cleansed is a MUST- no matter what type you are.
Yon-Ka ESSENTIAL Masque 103 is a purifying, clarifying mask which may actually save your skin, become the love of your life and have your kids all at once. A bold claim for a bold product.
This detoxifying mask contains three types of clay which purify the skin, tighten pores, brighten the complexion and leave it with an exceptional glow.
Glow up, shine down. It's ideal.
8. Stay THURSTY
Drink as much water as you are physically capable of every day, and your pores will thank you for it- guaranteed. Everyone needs different amounts, the two litres per day ‘fact’ is most likely a myth but if your body is dehydrated then so is your skin, that math adds up.
9. Use a clean towel whenever you are washing that lovely face of yours!
You don’t want any bacteria present in the towel to be transferred right back onto your face. Pat your skin dry instead of roughly trying to rub the make-up or skin cells off.
Clean towels prevent oily skin and breakouts, so they’re essentially your undercover guardian angel. Wash them at LEAST once a week, folks.
There you have it, nine core tips for surviving the winter with oily skin.
Remember that each person is totally unique, and research and discover what products feel right for you. Treat your skin with the care and calm it deserves, you’ll be radiant and glowing in no time without the unwanted shine.

If you haven't yet seen Hailey Baldwin's collection for PrettyLittleThing, you must be wearing sunglasses, because that sh*t is sparking.
PrettyLittleThing just dropped their most out-there collection to date, and model-of-the-moment Hailey is taking her rightful place as the face of the line.
From full on sequin sets to delicate diamante chokers and elegant but sparking pant suits, the collection is perfect for party season.
Hailey took to the red carpet at the launch of the collaboration, and of course she was rocking some stunning pieces from the collection.
The model, who is known for her laid-back, off duty model style by day and high glamour looks by night, turned it up a notch in a shimmering two piece.
Nailing one of the season's key trends, Hailey made the most of the movement of sequins by donning a pair of wide legged trousers for the event.
It is winter – there is no escaping that now that we're into November.
And while that means good news like cosy jumpers and mugs of hot choc, it also means slightly shittier news for people with dry skin.
It is the bane of our lives when the temperatures dip and our sensitive skin is exposed to the rain, hail and sleet etc. that an Irish winter comprises of.
So what can you do to help yourself?
Read on to gain some tips and tricks to treat flaky skin as the weather changes – you're welcome in advance.
First things first, there are a few miracle products that will help your skin to survive the colder months – people with dehydrated skin, meet your new BFF in Derm Acte moisturising serum.
This refreshing serum moisturises even the most parched skin. Slap it on in the morning and/or evening, on cleansed skin. It's priced at 69 quid but worth every cent
Is your skin irritated by various aggressions like the freezing cold Irish weather? Then you gotta try Derm Acte moisturising cream. It helps restore the hydrolipidic film, ensures efficient and long-lasting hydration.
Who doesn't love an intense hydration mask? Yonka Masque Intense Hydration repairing is a gel-cream mask that provides immediate, time-released, deep hydration: +54% after 1 hour and +96% after 8 hours It is ideal for sensitive or super irritated skin, whether dry or oily.
Also by the same fab brand is a phyto-aromatic healing water – Yonka Dry Skin Toner. It's more than just a toner though, it is a healing mist that refreshes, tones and sanitises the skin. Amaaaazinng.
There are so any ways to protect your skin against the elements of winter – even things like prepping your home. Think of it like this – the drier the air, the drier your skin.
So why not invest in a humidifier to increase the moisture level in the air?
Also, don't forget to buff your skin because dry skin won't f*ck off without some exfoliation first – and it means that the moisturisers and serums will work better then.
And last but not least, your diet will always contribute to the state that your skin is in. Walnuts, olive oil and avocados are all unreal for your skin whereas booze and caffeine are not so much.
And dry skin sufferers do drink TONS of water and good luck – it'll be spring before you know it.
Great news for those looking to spend some time in The States.
The government is close to a deal with the U.S. that could allow thousands of Irish citizens a visa to live and work there.
A bill is being proposed to the House that pushes to extend the E-3 visa (usually only available to Australia) to Irish Citizens.
About 10,500 visas are available to Australian citizens each year, yet only half of them are being used.
The new legislation would allow Irish citizens to use any visas not being utilised by Australians, which is about 4,000-5,000 per year.
The bill has to be passed by both the House and the Senate, but that shouldn’t be a problem since it has bipartisan support.
The Irish Times reports that the bill could reach the House floor as early as next week so we will have to keep our fingers crossed.
If it is passed, Irish citizens will be eligible for a two-year working, non-immigrant visa.
So, here is everything you need to know about the visa and how to get it.
What are the requirements?
Proof of Irish citizenship
Job offer from US-based business (does not have to be US business, just has to be located there)
Specialty occupation (These are professional job roles that require the practical or theoretical application of a body of knowledge in a specialty field.)
Be offered prevailing wage or higher
Bachelor’s Degree relevant to working field (or relevant work experience in similar role)
You must retain this job for the duration of your visa. If you decide to change jobs, you must then apply for a new visa and only allow 10 days in between both jobs.
How do I apply?
Find a US-based employer
Ask them to fill out Labour Condition Application (LCA) online.
Wait for approval (takes about 7 business days)
Once approved, ask employer to fill out an I-129 online (if applicable) which includes:
-approved LCA
-academic or other qualifications for position (ie. diploma)
-job offer letter or other documentation (must have offered wage)
-if required, a specialty license (ie. solicitor's license)
As of now, appointment wait times are only a few days in Dublin, but if the bill is approved this might change. We would recommend starting the process early, so that you will be able to have an appointment before your job start date.
What will I need to bring to my embassy interview?
Passport (must be valid for at least six months after the date you plan to leave the US)
DS-160 confirmation page printed
Application fee payment receipt (If you are required to pay before you’re appointment, it’s usually around $190)
Receipt number (found on form I-129)
The E-3 visa is only valid for two years but there is no limit on the amount of times you can renew it.
Also, you are not allowed to freelance or be self-employed.
This could be a great opportunity for Irish citizens and can finally allow us to spend a few years in The States after our degree.
The hardest part is finding a job but that shouldn’t be too hard with a bit of the auld Irish charm and a Skype interview.
When cheating is uncovered, the destruction it can cause is catastrophic.
And it seems Khloe Kardashian wants Tristan Thompson to fully understand her hurt by watching the latest Keeping Up with the Kardashian episodes.
According to a source, Khloe had asked her on-and-off-again boyfriend to watch the show to gain an insight into the pain he had caused her – and he totally shut her down.
Tristan allegedly replied with a "firm no" – guilty conscious much?
An insider gave the details to USWeekly, but it seems like Tristan's career is his focus and not Khloe's feelings – ouch.
"Khloe had already watched the episode before it aired and asked Tristan if he wanted to view it with her", said the source.
"The response was a firm no. He is focused on basketball, and the Cavaliers are struggling this season. This only creates further distractions, and there wasn’t any need for it."
Khloe has been very frank with fans saying it has been "very hard to relive" the cheating scandal.
The 34-year-old was live tweeting when the episode aired and replied to a follower who asked if Tristan was watching the show.
She answered with "he probably should, huh?" – Uh, no, doesn't look like she's too impressed.
The source also addressed Khloe's tweeting and said that Tristan had anticipated the move, but wants their relationship to remain private going forward.
"Tristan expected her to tweet during the episode because that is what Khloe does under normal circumstances. It’s Tristan’s hope going forward that things in their personal life will remain private," the person said.
He might have wanted to think about their privacy when he was getting up close and personal with two ladies in the club…Sorry, Tristan but we have zero sympathy for you.
Here's hoping that Khloe can keep her head held high during such a difficult time.
