steal her style

Last night, the 2018 Victorias Secret Fashion Show went down in New York City.

Models, fashion insiders and VS veterans from all over the world descended on the venue, and among them was a selection of Ireland's most-followed influencers.

Louise Cooney sat mere rows away from the runway with fellow blogger and businesswomen Suzanne Jackson, and up-and-comer Belle Azzure.

However, while models such as Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima and Romee Stridje sartorially stomped down the runway, we were more than intrigued by Louise's ensemble.

From Revolve brand h.ours, Louise opted for a one-shouldered, semi-sheer dress with a split so high, the VS lingerie designers would have been proud.

The stunning dress's midnight blue hue was off-set with a smattering of silver sparkles.

h.ours Candy Dress €206.00, h.ours Behati mini dress €216.00

Louise went for a pair of strapped ASOS heels and a bouncy blow-dry to finish the look.

Much to our despair, Louise's exact dress, The Lilou, which retails for €184.00, is out of stock, but the brand has quite a few similar options.

We're browsing in search of our part season staple…

If you haven't yet seen Hailey Baldwin's collection for PrettyLittleThing, you must be wearing sunglasses, because that sh*t is sparking.

PrettyLittleThing just dropped their most out-there collection to date, and model-of-the-moment Hailey is taking her rightful place as the face of the line.

From full on sequin sets to delicate diamante chokers and elegant but sparking pant suits, the collection is perfect for party season.

Hailey took to the red carpet at the launch of the collaboration, and of course she was rocking some stunning pieces from the collection.

The model, who is known for her laid-back, off duty model style by day and high glamour looks by night, turned it up a notch in a shimmering two piece.

Nailing one of the season's key trends, Hailey made the most of the movement of sequins by donning a pair of wide legged trousers for the event.

Silver tie waist jacket €42.00, Silver high waisted wide leg trousers €35.00

She also added the matching suit jacket, tieing the jacket at the waist to cut a striking silhouette.

We would probably opt for a streamlined white bralette under the jacket, but Hailey went bold and bare, showcasing her décolletage.

We're SHOOK over the collection – have you checked it out yet?

Ladies, the warm weather has well and truly descended, and we're considering our summer wardrobes.

Knowing the Irish climate, we'll need to stock up on separates that can be worn with sliders and t-shirts and jumpers and tights.

Luckily, the queen of casual but cool Rosie Connolly is offering us up some major style inspiration.

A post shared by Rosie Connolly (@rosieconxxx) on

Utility-style pieces are major this summer, from cargo pants to over-sized bombers.

For summer, we want to nail the look with Rosie's cute H&M skirt.

The cargo-style piece features an oversized pocket detail, as well as an on-trend ring detail sash.

Short cargo skirt €27.99

The skirt is perfect for layering, and we can think of a few new ways to don it.

First, we're loving Rosie's white jumper and runners combo.

For our holidays, we would add a white bandeau, loads of gold jewellery and the strappiest of statement heels for a night on the Spanish tiles.

When the weather takes a turn for the worst, we'll be going for a black turtleneck jumper tucked in an our staple black booties, or rocking black over-the-knee boots.

Happy shopping gals.

The queen of coo-girl style, Kate Moss looked like a vision at the Met Gala.

Opting for a fallen angel inspired mini-dress, Kate rocked a pared-back look compared to many on the red carpet.

Her laid-back interpretation of the theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, meant that her ensemble stood out in a sea of gold-embroidered tulle and heavily embellished head pieces.

Kate donned a Saint Laurent LBD from the design house's SS18 line.

The short hemline was classic Kate, but it was the upper feather accent that really made it a showstopper.

We've found a few dupes for the dress on Pretty Little Thing, and we're adoring the fluffy, fun frivolity brought by the feathers.

Off the shoulder dress €21.00, Satin feather dress €42.00, Velvet plunge neck dress €42.00

Onr eof the stunning pieces comes in at just €21.00 if you want to get Kate's look on a budget.

If you happen to have won the lottery recently, you can snap up Kate's exact dress for a casual €7,900.00 from Bergdorf Goodman

Last night, the world's judgmental eyes were on the sartorial stylings of celebs on the Met Gala red carpet.

With the statement theme being 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,' plenty of cebes went all out in angel wings, rosary beads and religious iconography.

Kylie Jenner made her red carpet debut since the birth of her first child Stormi, and while she didn't exactly emulate the theme of the night, she looked sleek and elegant.

The 20-year-old got a bit of slack for her simple look, but while she may not have been screaming 'Catholic imagination' her figure certainly looked heavenly in her slim cut black dress.

The most stand-out aspect of her gown was the cut out under her breasts (under boob is very in at the moment to be fair).

The cut was a welcome addition to the swathe of black velvet, and while her dress was branded as boring by much of the fashion press, we think it's the most wearable of the night.

Boohoo Jian Bandeau Cut Out Detail Midi Dress €10.25

Seeing as we wouldn't be able to don a giant Pope's hat on a night out, we can definitely rock an under boob cut out.

This Boohoo dress would fit any occasion, and is a steal at just €10.25 in the sale right now.

Velvet Cut Out Bow Midi Dress €17.00, Nicola Cut Out Maxi Slinky Dress €16.00, V Bar Cut Out Detail Midi Dress €27.00

We also love these cut-out dresses, sadly not in the sale, but still completely on budget.

Happy shopping gals.

Since having a fleeting romance with Justin Bieber this year, Sofia Richie has sky-rocketed to the mainstream.

She's now seen out partying with the likes of Rita Ora, Paris Hilton and Kylie Jenner – all major fashionistas in their own right. I've been keeping an eye on Sofia's style for months now because frankly, I think it's weird and wacky (in a good way).

Sofia is not your average girl-next-door celeb and often dons pretty 'out-there' outfits – something I thought I could never pull off myself. But I wanted to, so I tried.

After creeping on her Instagram page I took on my next quest of Dressing Like A Celeb. Not wanting to spend very much cash, I had a ponder on PrettyLittleThing for inspiration and was pretty happy to discover the likes of Sofia-worthy trousers for only €9.80, as well as a gorgeous LBD for €21. Steal!

OK, so for my first outfit I went for a dress, over a jumper and some black leather thigh-high boots.

Honestly, I thought this looked bizarre on her Insta, but was very surprised when I put the clothes on myself. It actually looked pretty good?

I thought matching a skin-tight LBD with an army-print jumper underneath would look awkward AF and totally out of place.

But do you know what? I might consider wearing something like this for the Christmas party season. With the black dress only costing €21 and the khaki top at €8.40 (OK so the boots are my own), you couldn't get any better than that for an outfit around this time of year. I felt slick and I was comfy and warm so I'm going to put this outfit as a win.

Me – 1, Sofia – 0

For my next outfit, I decided to try something a bit more casual, but still 'out-there' nonetheless. This consisted off crazy-coloured tracksuit bottoms and a crop top.

Now, I'll be the first to tell you that my wardrobe is practically full of black, so wearing brightly-coloured trackies is something I'd never ever do. Not even in bed when I'm mighty hungover. It's just a no-no for me. And I think this outfit was a definite no-no for me, too.

Even though it was casual, I felt gawky. I felt too BRIGHT, like there was flashing Christmas lights wrapped around my legs.

However, if you're into these PrettyLittleThing trackies, they do come in at just under a tenner. Many people would wear this outfit and be able to pull it off, but I felt awkward (as you can probably notice in the picture). Sofia wins this one.

Me – 1, Sofia – 1

For the last outfit, I'll admit I picked something I knew I'd never wear right off the bat. While I loved the pieces on Sofia separately (that coat is #goals), I'd never wear them together. Eh, where's her trousers at?!

But yet again, I was surprised. It looked super cool, and it was cosy (even though I only had two items of clothing on).

Now before I get carried away, I'd definitely need something underneath this if I was to wear it out, but I think it worked well.

It was the most expensive outfit, with both the thigh-high boots and aviator jacket costing €70 a piece, but I'd happily pay that because the quality was fab.

Actually… I was delighted with the outfit! I'll give this half a point, because honestly, I picked it for the lolz, but then was quite pleased with the outcome.

Total: Me – 1.5, Sofia, 1

I didn't think any of these outfits would suit me and believed that only the rich and famous could pull something like this off.

So, I guess it just goes to show that it's OK to step outside of your comfort zone every once in a while. You might be surprised – I definitely was.

The Internet is filled with celeb focused “Where Are They Now” type posts, but few searches produce as glorious results as those for former Buffy star Tom Lenk.

Despite having appeared in How I Met Your Mother, Samantha Who? and The Cabin in the Woods, for many Tom is still best remembered as Andrew Wells from the famed supernatural drama.

Today Tom can be found on Instagram operating an account which is nothing short of wonderful under the name @tommylenk.

To the delight of his 113,000 followers, the 40-year-old actor regularly recreates the outfit choices of some of Hollywood’s best known stars.

Check out some of our favourite looks below:

While the royal tour of Canada featured a multitude of designer gear, the Duchess of Cambridge finished her trip with a more affordable look.

Greeting crowds in Victoria over the weekend, Kate Middleton kept things high street chic with a cream blazer and black skinny jeans from Zara.

Beneath the jacket, the mother of two – whose selling power has been well documented – wore a ribbed top from H&M.

The look was finished with a pair of J. Crew loafers, a set of pearl drop earrings and a gold necklace – all of which could be easily replicated with cost effective dupes.

With a sister like Nicole, Sofia Richie is bound to know a thing or two about fashion.

But while most celeb’s wardrobes are well out of the average woman’s price range, Sofia’s latest bomber jacket is an absolute steal.

The 18-year-old model recently stepped out in perfected casual wear with a pair of faded black skinnies, a cropped white tee and a champagne coloured satin bomber from Pretty Little Thing.

The Karia jacket features cross stitch detailing to the front, comes in three different colours and, best of all, retails for just €39.20.

Monday treats anyone?

TOWIE’s Kate Wright might be dealing with some personal drama right now as reports continue to circulate that she’s rowing with her ex Dan Edgar, but that hasn’t stopped the star from putting in the effort when it comes to her summer style.

The reality TV personality was recently snapped wearing a fresh navy and orange combination that’s not only cute and colourful, but is also very much affordable as her whole outfit can be bought for just €42 on the popular clothing website Pretty Little Thing.

Kate’s bright orange cut-out top – which is a very similar colour to the PLT dress Kylie Jenner was recently spotted in – is currently on sale for just €14, having previously been €21.

While her wide-legged navy side-split trousers are also available on PLT for €28.

These high waisted pants also come in mink, black, nude, mauve, cream and stone colours so if you don’t fancy copying Kate’s look directly, you could always go for a similar style using different complimentary shades.

For €42 you're guaranteed to have plenty of options.

Zayn who? Perrie Edwards was the picture of confidence as she walked the red carpet in Birmingham yesterday – and we're already plotting how to DIY her look.

The blonde beauty arrived at the BBC Music Awards with her three Little Mix bandmates, all of whom looked equally on point in black lace, leather and studs.

But it was Perrie's fierce hair and flawless make-up that had us marking her down as our next major girl crush.

With her straight locks (and extensions, no doubt) slicked back into a plaited pony, Perrie looked more like Tomb Raider than her usual laid-back self.

As for her make-up, the singer worked a Scandinavian ice queen look, opting for heavily defined eyes with a touch of ice blue, and a simple warm nude on her lips.

A flawless face with a hint of sparkle – how perfect would this look be for New Year's Eve?

Of course, the best part is, this look is totally re-creatable, and you won't have to blow your entire night out budget, either.

We've put our cosmetic hats on and found a few WET N WILD options that will have you looking like Perrie in no time (though the black and gold dominatrix look might be harder to pull off).

The eyes

WET N WILD Colour Icon Glitter Single in Bleached, €1.99
This heavily pigmented colour is perfect for Perrie's under-eye sparkle. Apply using a slightly damp angled brush, just under the waterline of the eye.

WET N WILD Max Volume Plus Mascara, €5.49
This look is all about high-octane lashes, so go for two coats.

WET N WILD  H2O Proof Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner, €3.99
Line the top lids heavily, with a dramatic flick on the outer edges.

The lips

WET N WILD MegaLast Lipstick in Bare It All, €2.99
This taupe-nude shade is a perfect dupe for Perrie's – a slick of clear gloss on top and you're good to go.

We love when celebrities come back down to earth and wear clothes that us mere mortals can actually afford

And the latest celeb/high-street mash-up is Kendall Jenner wearing a FAB €45 olive green trench coat from Forever 21

The reality star TV teamed her coat with a high-neck white top, black skirt and black platform boots, proving that she can mix High Street with designer pieces effortlessly.

Her coat won't be available in Europe until the end of the year (yup we're counting down already), but if you just can't wait until then, there are plenty of other Forever 21 trenches that look almost exactly the same… a load of which come in at less than €30 too.

Steal her style? We think so.
