Victoria and David Beckham celebrated their 19th anniversary yesterday and the happy couple picked the most perfect location to mark the milestone.

What better place to celebrate your marriage than Paris, the city of love.

The doting couple jetted off to Paris where they enjoyed a romantic dinner and they certainly looked loved-up.

They have been showing a united front since divorce rumours started circulating online last month.

They both shared a beautiful photo from their anniversary dinner that has certainly melted our hearts.

Victoria simply captioned her photo:”19 years!!! X I love u so much x”

David gushed about Victoria on his account, saying: “9 Years WOW … This time 19 years ago I was dressed from head to toe in purple … Happy anniversary to the most amazing wife & mummy … Love You x @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven”

Victoria and David tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle, located just outside of Dublin.

The fashion designer donned a striking Vera Wang ball gown for her big day, with David opting for an all-white three-piece suit

They were joined by their eldest son Brooklyn, who also wore an all-white outfit to match his parents. How adorable.

They were also joined by over 200 guests, including Victoria’s bandmates Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown.

David and Victoria danced to It Had To Be You for their first dance as a married couple.

Happy anniversary to the Beckhams!

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that he supports President Donald Trump's criticism from the press.

The remarks were reportedly made at a private lunch held in New York on Monday.

The event, hosted by Irish Consul General Ciaran Madden, was for young Irish workers across various sectors in New York City.

According to The Times,  when asked what he thought of Trump's attack on the US press, Leo said that the media was not interested in the truth but only in getting a story.

He was particularly scathing of political journalists, who he claimed were more interested in gossip rather than what the Government is actually doing.

Reportedly a heated exchange followed as other members pointed out that the media had unearthed the Weinstein sexual assault allegations among other controversies.

Social media had a strong reaction to Leo's comments, as some agreed with the Taoiseach while others were outraged that he had sided with Trump.

Some were quick to jump to his defence, saying, ''you can criticise the media while supporting free speech. Taoiseach's points taken out of context imo.''

Others were not so understanding, stating that the whole episode was a ''strange, unsettling criticism of the media by our Taoiseach.''

According to RTE News, NUJ Irish General Secretary Seamus Dooley said it was ''bizarre'' that the Taoiseach would side with such a divisive political figure.

Leo later said that his comments were ''taken out of context.''

A spokesperson said that the Taoiseach "believes that a free, fair and balanced press is a cornerstone of our democracy".

Judging by the furore on Twitter, it seems like Leo might have a bit more explaining to do…

Love Island has spawned many trends – whether it's blow drying your eyelash extensions or referring to yourself as a bombshell.

However, one trend which has seen an uptick since the show started five weeks ago is the demand for fillers and botox.

It is widely speculated that the majority of Love Island's female contestants have had aesthetic work done – with Megan Barton Hanson being easily the most pursued woman in the villa and allegedly th most cosmetically enhanced.

'We’ve seen a spike in enquiries for fillers and Botox over the past few weeks, our bookings have been rapidly filling up,' Thérapie Clinic Medical Director, Dr. Paul Reddy said, dubbing it the 'Love Island Effect.'

'Since the show has aired we have easily seen an increase of 75% in enquiries about injectable treatments.'

'There has been a lot of speculation around the cast of Love Island and if they have or have not had fillers / Botox.'

Old photos of Megan recently resurfaced, with some aesthetic experts guessing that since the photos were taken, Megan has had Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty, Cheek Fillers and Lip Enhancement.

'Since Megan entered the villa, we’ve had countless clients ask for lip fillers to get a similar look,' said Dr. Paul Reddy.

'We’ve had many asking about Botox safety with upcoming holidays mentioning the show’s cast and how they would like to see similar results.'

'We always strive for natural results with our clients to assist them to increase their self-confidence when they work with our top class facial aesthetics team.'

Listen up, Ryanair fliers.

Ialpa pilot union members who work for Ryanair are planning to strike for 24 hours next Thursday, 12th July.

The strike will begin at 1am on the 12th and continue until 1am the next day.

Ryanair has responded  to this announcement by saying that they are ''disappointed'' in this ''unnecessary'' course of action yet they believes that the majority of Ryanair passengers will be unaffected by this.

July is a busy summer month for airlines, with huge numbers headed off to sunnier climates for their holidays.

Understandably, many people who have booked with Ryanair are panicking about the consequences that this may have on their travel plans.

People are voicing their concerns on Twitter, with one user saying, ''you're basically giving me two days or 48 hours to arrange alternative flights.''

After negotiations with the airline broke down, the Ialpa Union said that a landslide 99% of their members had supported the industrial action in a ballot.

The dispute is over management’s approach to the transferring of pilots between it's African and European bases.

The Irish Airline Pilots’ Association has also released a statement giving notice of the strike.

It states that, ''our member pilots directly employed by Ryanair complain that there is no transparent system for the determination of important matters including voluntary/involuntary base transfer/allocation, command upgrade, allocation of annual leave and promotion.''

With the strike action set to take place next week, let's hope that this mess gets sorted before then.

Otherwise, there's going to be a lot of unhappy Ryanair customers.

Scarlett Johansson has disregarded claims that playing a transgender character is problematic.

The actor is set to star as Dante ''Tex'' Gill in Rub & Tug, a biopic about a transgender man who is also a crime boss.

The movie will take place in Pittsburgh’s underground sex work industry during the 1970's.

The reaction to this news across social media has been widely negative, with many being quick to condemn Scarlett for choosing to take on this role.

Twitter lambasted Scarlett for taking roles away from people who are actually trans.

One Twitter user claimed that, ''Scarlett's been tone deaf on a heap of social issues,'' while another said, ''Scarlett Johansson…you should check your privilege. Also, and this goes for all casting directors, step up and break the cycle of misrepresentation.''

However, not everyone on Twitter was criticising her choice to play Dante.

One said, ''it’s a movie!! Who cares, it’s a business!!'' while another user reiterated the fact that she is an actor who is simply doing her job.

''There is no law that says only trans can portray a trans person in a film. Now f**k off with your insufferable moral grandstanding. Sincerely, A Trans-woman.''

Scarlett has responded to this accusations with her own statement to Bustle.

She said: ''Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman's reps for comment."

This response has not been taken well by social media, with many calling it ''trash.''

''Clearly ScarJo doesn't’t give a sh*t about the trans community and wants her Oscar,'' one user tweeted.

Others still seem to see her point of view, with someone else pointing out, ''blame the casting director, not her.''

This movie will be the second time that Scarlett will have worked with director Rupert Sanders.

Their last film, Ghost in the Shell also faced major controversy.

Scarlett was accused of whitewashing the Asian character that she played, which was based off of a Japanese manga character.

''I certainly would never presume to play another race of a person. Diversity is important in Hollywood, and I would never want to feel like I was playing a character that was offensive,'' she told Marie Claire last year.

Fans of Love Island – listen up.

Casa Amor is available to book through luxury villa company Villa Retreats, so if you're planning a trip to Eastern Mallorca – you're welcome.

The secluded location is just off Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in Mallorca, and is situated among rolling rural hills.

We don't get to see much of Casa Amor on the series, as most of the filming happens outside by the blue infinity pool, or in the bedroom, which is set up a certain way for the show.

When the Love Island branding is stripped away, the gorgeous villa has an artistic cosy vibe.

A mix of modern and rustic art coats the walls, and if you're a fan of nudity. the female nudes embossed on the master shower door will suit your fancy.

It's an architectural might, with stunning sweeping hallways and a cubic feel.

There are four bedrooms which sleep eight people, a BBQ area and a maid service.

It is described by Villa Retreats as 'a superb, ultra modern house with high standard furniture and fittings and stylish design.' We have to agree with them there.

However, if you want to live la vie de Love Island, you need to have some deep pockets.

To rent Casa Amor, you will have to cough up between €5164  snd €8378 per week, according to The Sun.

Some Irish workers can look forward to a slight increase in their hourly pay as Ireland’s living wage has increased by 20 cents.

Workers will now be paid at least €11.90 an hour so they can enjoy a decent standard of living.

It is understood that the boost is down to Ireland’s housing crisis. People are struggling more than ever to afford housing in Ireland, which means the price of living has increased.

The news was confirmed by the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice: “Rising rents push Living Wage to €11.90 per hour in 2018, a €0.20 increase from 2017. The #LivingWage represents the minimum average gross salary of a single full-time worker without dependents, needs to afford an acceptable minimum standard of living.”

There has been a drop in the cost of health insurance, transport and food in 2018, but the growing rent prices are swallowing up nearly half of the average person’s wages.

Dr Bernadette McMahon of the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice stated:  “We try and reflect a figure which actually reflects the cost of living and what people have to spend for a reasonable standard of living.”

Employers do not have to pay their workers the living wage, but many companies support the idea.

There is no plan to increase the minimum wage yet. The minimum wage currently stands at €9.55 in Ireland.

One glance at social media proves that lip fillers are on the rise in Ireland, and a set of perfectly pouty lips is the most sought-after new accessory.

However, with the rise in demand for the procedure, it is important to be completely informed about the cosmetic choice that you are making.

Here are 10 things to keep in mind before opting for the injection:

10, Research your aesthetician

The action of administering lip fillers is a mostly unregulated practice in Ireland, meaning that anyone with access to a pack of filler and a cannula could hypothetically do it.

However, there are major risks involved with this, and only registered doctors, nurses and dentists should be administering the cosmetic procedure.

"It angers me that people who aren't medically trained don't know what can go wrong with these procedures. I have had to correct lips that are the result of unethical practice," April Kavanagh, the trained nurse behind NurseCare Aesthetics, so ask to see credentials.

Nurses should be registered with the Nursing And Midwifery Board Of Ireland (NMBI), dentists with The Irish Dental Council (IDC) and doctors with the Irish Medical Council

9. Don't think of it as just a beauty treatment

Lip fillers have become completely normalised thanks to social media and celebrity culture, but don't think of them as another chore to add to your beauty regimen.

"Because fillers are available in beauty salons and hair dressing salons, it makes it look like these are beauty treatments when in fact they are medical procedures," said  Claudia McGloin, founder of The Claudia McGloin Clinic.

8. Consider your budget

Properly applied lip fillers can cost anything from €300-€500, so ask yourself if you can really afford them.

A post shared by Cosmetic Surgeries(@botoxvideos) on

7. Get informed about what they are made of

Lip fillers are made of a substance called Hyaluronic Acid (or HA), which naturally occurs in the body.

The actual filler that is injected is a synthetic substance that mimics this, and can be found in plenty of beauty and skin care products.

The substance is very safe to use as it is naturally according, making allergy rates extremely low.

6. Consider why you want them

"Lip injections are good for anyone who wants to alter their lip shape, or just plump their aging lips," Dr Richard Swift told Good Housekeeping.

However, plenty of girls come into lip aestheticians brandishing a photo of Kylie Jenner or their favourite social media influencer. While bringing a photo is fine, getting them for the wrong reasons is not.

"I have absolutely turned away clients who want work done for the wrong reasons. Some people come in for a procedure, then call me up two weeks later looking to get more," said April.

5. Watch videos of the process

Squeamish people, look out.

The results of lip fillers may look pretty, but the procedure can involve small amounts of blood, multiple injections and an intense lip massage after the product is injected.

A post shared by Kerry Hanaphy (@kerry.hanaphy) on

4. If a deal looks too good to be true…

If the price of a deal looks too good to be true, that's probably because it is. Beware of cosmetic cowboys.

Untrained administrators can buy cheap filler off the internet on the international market with no clue what's really in the syringe.

3. Consider your pain tolerance

Depending on your personal pain threshold, fillers can range from a mere pin prick to quite uncomfortable, though they should never be extremely painful.

The lips should feel slightly tender and swollen after, with and bruising or swelling disappearing after a week.

2. If you ever get cold cores, read this!

Getting fillers can trigger a cold sore outbreak if you are prone.

"If you are prone to cold sores whenever you have any treatment of the lips or surrounding area it may reactivate it," said Dr Tatiana Khrom, Dermatologic Surgeon, at Real Self.

"So you always have to inform your provider about your history so we can give you prophylactic treatment for the outbreak which usually involves taking a few antiviral pills."

1. Don't be surgery-shamed

There seems to be a bit of secrecy among some influencers and celebs about the surgery status of their lips, but don't let anyone make you feel bad about seeking an aesthetic tweak.

"Lip fillers are not a bad thing," says Kerry Hannaphy, who has worked on numerous clients looking for a subtle improvement in lip volume or symmetry.

"I've had numerous emails about how it's improved the confidence of people, they feel so much better about themselves and they don't feel so depressed."
