Grey’s Anatomy fans have experienced their fair share of grief since the show first aired.

We’ve had to wave goodbye to a devastating number of characters, including George, Mark and Lexie, but the one fictional death we’ll never get over is Derek Shepherd.

The episode where we said goodbye to Derek was one of the most-watched (and most upsetting) in the show’s history.

Ever the hero, Derek died after trying to save a family that was involved in a car accident.

We’ll never fully recover from the death of McDreamy. The show certainly hasn’t been the same since Patrick Dempsey departed.

As the star of the show, we couldn’t help but wonder why the actor wanted to leave. Patrick Dempsey admitted he knew it was the right time to leave when the storylines no longer interested him.

He told The I Paper: “Look, 10 years is a long time to be on any show. It’s very hard to keep the storylines intriguing, especially on a network show with 25 episodes a year. So for me, it was time to go.”

The Grey’s Anatomy alum added: “It’s nice to move on and have new challenges.”

Patrick is ready for a new chapter, but fans of the medical drama series just can’t seem to let go. He shared that they are eager for his character to return, despite his passing.

He laughed: “They want me to come back to the show which, given what happened to Derek, is really quite funny.”

Can we turn back time and skip Derek’s death episode? Life at Grey Sloan would be far better if McDreamy was still around.

It's safe to say that the Kardashians were blessed in the genetics department so it's no surprise that all the children of the clan are seriously cute.

Kim Kardashian West may be fond of a selfie (or 10!) but her Instagram is also littered with adorable pictures of her kids. She's mum to five-year-old daughter North, 9-month-old Chicago and two-year-old son Saint, and though it only feels like yesterday that Kim announced the birth of her only son, time really is flying as her latest photo proves. Saint West is growing up so fast!

The mum-of-three shared a picture with her 116 million Instagram followers showing Saint playing on the beach. And how adorable does he look?! In the snap, the little boy is seen smiling and wearing dark swimming shorts.

Kardashian admitted that even though Saint is 'big brother' to his two sisters, that North found it easier to bond with her new sister than her brother.

"[North] does not share with Saint, she does not hardly talk to Saint,” Kim revealed in an interview on Ellen earlier this year, but added that her son wasn't phased and also doted on 'baby Chi.'

He’s nicer than North, I will say that, ” she added. “He loves his little sister, he’s so sweet with her."

Autumn time is here which means we can finally curl up with a book and a cup of tea without feeling guilty. Gone are the days when we felt bad for not making the most of every ounce of sunshine. The chilly weather has finally arrived and we must admit we are feeling pretty happy about it.

September brings cooler weather, darker evenings, but fear not bookworms, it also brings a ton of new releases that you must add to your to-be-read lists.

These three books are going to be keeping me company on early morning commutes and during cozy evenings at home.

If you’re struggling to find a September read then look no further than these perfect tales.

My love for Hazel Gaynor’s work knows no bounds so it’s safe to say I was overjoyed to hear about this book. The Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter is a must-read for those of you who love a little mystery. In 1838, the lighthouse keepers daughter Grace Darling realises the people on board a small ship may not survive a brutal storm. The young woman takes matters into her own hands and rescues the passengers with the help of her father. Her heroic act is celebrated throughout the country.

In 1938, Soon-to-be teenage mum Matilda Emmerson is sent away in disgrace from her home to New England. She has no choice but to stay with her reclusive relative Harriet Flaherty, who is a lighthouse keeper. Matilda discovers a discarded portrait that opens a window to a secret that will change her life forever.

This book has been one of the most highly-anticipated books of the year so far. Book lovers are bound to adore the work of the Conversations With Friends author. Her debut novel was a mass success so there’s no doubt this tale will fly off the shelves. Normal People follows the lives of Connell and Marianne, who come from the same town but are part of very different worlds.

When they start studying at Trinity College they develop such a strong bond that carries on into the future. Normal People looks at the hearty theme of how love can change a person. It opens readers’ eyes to the massive impact love and a relationship can have on a person. Plus, can you ever go wrong with a love story set in Dublin? We are so ready to dive into the pages of Sally Rooney’s second fictional triumph.

Normal People is published by Faber and Faber and is available to buy here.

I’m sure most young women in her twenties have at least one self-help book on their bookshelf. We can’t help but read them with the hope that a book can magically solve all of our problems, but do they really work? One woman put that question to the test and tested the plethora of self-help books that don the shelves of bookshops.

Marianne Power spent one year of her life practising the advice from self-help books to see if they really do what they say on the cover. The books promise to make us better people. They vow to transform us into upbeat, organised souls who go for jogs at 7 am in the morning and always have perfectly ironed clothes, but Marianne realises that maybe the help they’re offering isn’t as beneficial as it may seem.

Help Me! by Marianne Power is published by Pan MacMillan and is available to buy here.

To the delight of commuters, Dublin Bus is introducing a brand new route this weekend.

The route will service 65 stops across the city.

The new House of Cards trailer is here, and we are woke.

Kevin Spacey has been under fire for allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour. Last year, Anthony Rapp bravely came forward and accused the Oscar-winning actor of making sexual advances towards him when he was just 14-years-old.

As a result of the revealed incident, Netflix reportedly said they were planning on dropping Kevin from the following season of House of Cards.

And now, the political drama’s recent trailer has officially killed off his character of Frank Underwood, verifying the series’ previous statement.

The chilling, short clip opens with Blaire Underwood in all-black at a graveyard.

“I’ll tell you this though, Francis. When they bury me it won’t be in my backyard.

“And when they pay their respects, they’ll have to wait in line,” the powerful woman says, looking straight into the camera lens.

The camera then pans out to reveal her husband’s grave beside that of his father’s.

Captioned “You should have known”, the haunting video officially puts an end to Kevin's starring role.

We cannot wait to see Claire take over the Oval Office. Her strong portrayal of the female lead is empowering as she shows that she doesn’t need a male co-star to slay it on set.

The show’s final season will debut on November 2nd, and we can’t wait to see it!

Great news for animal lovers and high fashion fans.

This season, London has become the first main fashion week to eliminate real fur from the catwalks.

According to a survey carried out by the British Fashion Council, none of the designers showcasing their pieces intend to use fur.

PETA urged the British Fashion Council to make the move, saying: 'Nowadays, the majority of people wouldn’t be seen dead in fur.'

'Our poll of designers with a show or presentation at the February 2018 London Fashion Week revealed that 95 per cent – including Burberry and Mulberry – didn’t use fur in their autumn/winter 2018 collections.'

'Many top international designers – including Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Armani, and others – are 100 per cent fur-free.'

It's time to welcome back the thick black eyeliner of the 2000s and rock out to Skateboi and Complicated.

Our gal has used her struggle with her health to inspire this new music and WE CAN'T WAIT.

"I was able to turn that fight into music I’m really proud of. I wrote songs in my bed and on the couch and recorded there mostly as well. Words and lyrics that were so true to my experience came pouring out of me effortlessly," she wrote.

Now we are off to try and learn how to skateboard – although we don't think we'll be quite as cool as Avril was.

From their iconic outfits, non-stop social lives, jet-set lifestyles, global travel and brand partnerships, on the surface it appears that they live a charmed existence.

However, we all know by now that there is a lot of hard work that goes in to being a taste-maker on social media, and that at the end of the day, the women we see on our iPhone screens are just that – real women with lives and struggles and emotions and issues just like anyone else.

Matilda Djerf, a Swedish influencer with 347,000 Instagram followers, and a further 48,000 YouTube subscribers, went on her Instagram live last night and broke down in a raw and emotional moment to her fans.

The blogger was upset by a comment left by a follower (or troll) saying that she uses her past struggles with eating for attention on her platform. Understandably, Matila was very bothered by this comment, and while she didnt plan to get so deep with her followers, she ended up peeling back the facade that social media has caused us to normalise.

'I know its so easy to think that everything is super amazing all the time because Instagram paints this unrealistic f*cking life, and I know my life must seem so amazing, I get to travel the world but Iv'e gone through so much shit and I would never lie about it for attention so it's f*cking sick that someone would even say that,' she said in the emotional video.

'I have scars on my arm, my whole diary is just me hating myself,' she said.

Matilda's Instagram feed is awash with sun-soaked bikini snaps and stunning outfit posts, but she calls on social media users at large to remind themselves that while she has amazing opportunities, that doesn't mean life is peachy all the time.

'I’m just a human and I have feelings. And it was impossible for me to hide it this time. Sometimes you just have to let yourself feel,' she captioned her video.

'Thank you for picking me back up and for accepting me as I am. I always want to be transparent and unfiltered with you.' And please make sure to think twice before you speak or comment.'

Touching on the comment that upset her, she wrote: ' The comment is deleted and I don’t want to get into it too much again but I just want to say that it took me so many years to get healthy from my ED and to start accepting myself as I am. To have someone say I made it all up for attention is just sickening.'

'Just because my eating disorder is a “small problem” for someone doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to feel what I do. Like my strong, lovely follower commented “everyone is fighting their own battles – some physical, mental and some emotional.'

'My problems do not invalidate someone else’s. Everyone should be able to freely express their problems without someone saying “others got it worse".'
