Grey’s Anatomy

Congratulations are in order for the Grey’s Anatomy actress, Camilla Luddington and her husband, Matthew Alan, as they welcome their baby boy into the world, giving him the sweetest name.

Camilla posted to her Instagram account, a photo of herself looking over-joyed, cuddled up with her new son in her hospital bed, shortly after giving birth. “After what felt like a year long third trimester… it finally happened!! Matt and I are SOOO happy to announce the birth of our sweet baby BOY Lucas, otherwise known as my little lion (shoutout to the Leo’s!),” the caption read.

Camilla and Matthew are now a family of four, giving their three-year-old daughter Hayden, an adorable little brother.

Camilla spoke to People about what it was like to be pregnant during a pandemic, saying, “Our family has been isolating since March [amid the coronavirus pandemic], which has come with its own challenges, but the upside is that it gave us a lot of time to be able to prepare,” she says. “Once I hit 37 weeks, I was willing him to come. Our bubble feels complete now that he's here.”

The 36-year-old Grey’s Anatomy star revealed her second pregnancy in early March this year, in a most unusual but fun way. Camilla posted a photo of herself with the one and only Cinderella at Disneyland. Her announcement went like this;

“Me: I’m just gonna do a super casual pregnancy announcement. Also me: I NEED PRINCESSES!!!!!!”, she wrote.

Camilla also hinted that she is going back to filming the upcoming season of Grey’s Anatomy very soon, by posting a photo of her long, dark brown hair-do, which her character, Jo Wilson wears on the show. “Back to long dark hair?? Can only mean one thing…”, she wrote, followed by a female doctor emoji and a clapperboard emoji.

The new season of Grey’s Anatomy is reportedly going to cover the coronavirus pandemic, starting one to two months into it.

We all need a happiness booster more than ever right now and Netflix has answered our prayers with the new series Sweet Magnolias.

Fans of Gilmore Girls are bound to love this charming, feel-good series. Sweet Magnolias follows three South Carolina women, best friends since childhood, as they juggle relationships, family and careers in the charming small town of Serenity.

Sweet Magnolias stars Joanna Garcia Swisher as Maddie, Heather Headley as Helen and Brooke Elliot as Dana Sue.

Jamie Lynn Spears stars as Noreen, American Pie’s Chris Klein stars as Bill Townsend and Grey’s Anatomy actor Justin Bruening as Cal Maddox.

The Netflix show is based on the books by American writer Sherryl Woods.

I binge-watched all ten episodes of the series in one day and it was everything I needed during these dull and overwhelming days. It is such an easy show to watch and you get completely wrapped up in the small town charm, the everyday drama and the complex relationships. It helps you switch off from the world we're living in right now and I think we could all benefit from doing that at the moment.

Sweet Magnolias is the ultimate source of comfort we need during the lockdown. All ten episodes are available on Netflix now.

Netflix has yet to renew the show for a second season, but given the overwhelmingly positive response, there’s no doubt that Sweet Magnolias will be back for a second instalment.

Grey’s Anatomy star Justin Chambers is leaving the show after 16 seasons. The actor who plays Alex Karev on the medical drama series confirmed the surprising news in a statement to E! News this evening.

He shared: “There's no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that's defined so much of my life for the past 15 years. For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time."

The actor continued, “As I move on from Grey's Anatomy, I want to thank the ABC family, Shonda Rimes, original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, and the rest of the amazing cast and crew, both past and present, and, of course, the fans for an extraordinary ride."

Chambers has played Dr Alex Karev since the very beginning of Grey’s Anatomy so it is safe to say fans are utterly heartbroken by the news.

His final episode has yet to be announced.

Huge congratulations are in order for Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone who has welcomed her third child.

The actress welcomed a baby girl and she is as cute as can be.

Caterina confirmed the birth of her darling daughter by posting a photo of her and her big sister.

The actress, who plays Amelia on the medical drama series, also shared the name of her newborn and we adore it.

The mum-of-three decided to call her Arwen. The name Arwen is of Welsh origin and means fair. How delightful!

Caterina wrote alongside the image of her girls, “Arwen is here! Our family wishes you a happy new year, a happy new decade and a happy heart made new by love in every exquisite moment.”

Caterina’s Grey’s Anatomy co-stars showered her with loving messages.

Sarah Drew wrote, “So beautiful!!”

“Congratulations and welcome to the 3 daughters club!!!” said Alex Blue Davis.

Kate Walsh, who starred alongside Caterina on Private Practice, simply wrote “Arwen” with a love heart emoji.

Peyton Kennedy said, “So much love to you and the family.”

Caterina is also a mum to two other daughters-three-year-old Paloma and seven-year-old Eliza.

We couldn’t be happier for the Grey’s Anatomy star. Baby Arwen is far too adorable!

We have said goodbye to some of our favourite Grey’s Anatomy characters over the years but it never gets easier. We sobbed when Yang left, cried like babies when Mark passed away and honestly thought our hearts were broken when Derek died.

We have recently said goodbye to fan favourites Arizona Robbins and April Kepner, but could one of them be returning to the show?

Ahead of the new season of Grey’s Anatomy, showrunner Krista Vernoff teased the possible return of a major character and we’ve been scratching our heads about who it could be ever since.

Vernoff spilled the news in an interview with TVLine, “I'm trying to get someone back.”

She added, "There's someone I'm hoping will make an appearance this year, [but] it's a real maybe. I'm trying."

So who could it be?

It obviously won’t be Derek, Mark or Lexie considering they’re all dead. George and Izzie are ruled out so who does that leave?

April and Arizona are the top contenders, especially after the uproar their departures caused.

Another potential is Sandra Oh, who played the iconic Cristina Yang on the show. Oh has soared to fame after scoring the lead role on Killing Eve, but will she have time in her hectic schedule to return to Grey Sloan?

There is one doctor we’d adore to see on the show again and she’d certainly cause quite a stir if she arrived back in Seattle.

We would love to see the legendary Dr. Addison Montgomery, played by Kate Walsh, return to Grey’s Anatomy. With roles in 13 Reasons Why and The Umbrella Academy, Walsh may not have the time to return to Grey’s but she would certainly breathe new life into the medical drama series.

Who would you love to see back on Grey’s Anatomy?

Grey's Anatomy fans, it looks like we could be gearing up for another heartbreaking season of our favourite medical drama series.

The trailer for the new season just dropped and we're feeling pretty concerned about one of our favourite characters.

The ever charming, twinkly eyed Jackson Avery is in trouble and we're not sure if our hearts can handle it.

The doctor disappeared into thick fog after a massive argument with Maggie during the season finale and now it looks like he may be in a lot more trouble than we thought.

In the clip, Maggie and emergency services are seen frantically looking for Jackson when they finally find him, but have they rescued him on time?

The season 16 trailer sees the Grey Sloan team work together to save Jackson. Our hearts may have broken when Maggie is told that "It is not the time to give up on him,” which makes us fear that his condition is a lot worse than we anticipated.

We honestly can’t cope if we lose another character. We’re still reeling from McDreamy’s death.

Fans took to Instagram to express their fears over Jackson’s safety. Others even compared the likeliness of the season 11 and season 16 promo posters. For those of you who need a reminder, Derek Shepherd died in season 11 so could this be a warning?

Say it ain’t so.

Grey’s Anatomy fans will be relieved to hear the show is set to return in the coming weeks, but season 16 features quite the big twist.

The season finale left fans feeling pretty overwhelmed as so much happened within the one episode. Not only did Meredith, Alex and Richard lose their jobs, but Jackson disappeared into the fog, Teddy and Owen welcomed their baby and DeLuca is in prison.

We’ve been itching to find out how all these storylines will play out and it looks like we’ll find out straight away.

A post shared by Grey's Anatomy Official (@greysabc) on

Showrunner Krista Vernoff told TVLine that the new season will pick up moments after all of these explosive storylines took place.

She explained, “The lingering cliffhangers — i.e. Meredith, Richard and Alex receiving pink slips, DeLuca wearing prison orange and Jackson vanishing into… thick fog — will be addressed “pretty immediately.”

However, it’ll come as no surprise to hear that the Grey’s Anatomy creators have a massive twist up their sleeves.

Apparently, there will be a time jump once each of these major storylines are addressed.

A post shared by Grey's Anatomy Official (@greysabc) on

Vernoff revealed, “We will then span a little bit of time over the course of the hour…”

The showrunner would not reveal just how much time will pass but we’re hoping it is no more than a year.

A post shared by Grey's Anatomy Official (@greysabc) on

Luckily, the time jump isn’t going to let current issues between the show’s characters pass. Vernoff stressed that Meredith and DeLuca will still have to face their relationship problems.

“They’ve got to navigate the complexities of a new relationship in the wake of Meredith having been fired and having broken the law,” she told the publication.

Grey’s Anatomy airs later this month.

Grey’s Anatomy star Kevin McKidd and his wife Arielle have welcomed their second child together. The doting dad revealed that Arielle gave birth to a baby girl on July 27, according to People.

The parents decided to call their daughter Nava James. The name Nava is of Hebrew origin and means "pretty, pleasant, desirable".

The actor posted a photo of his wife cuddling their baby girl in bed, “I’m so happy to announce the arrival of our little baboo – Nava James McKidd!”

He gushed, “She is amazing and our whole family feels blessed. We just got her home and Aiden is already a brilliant big brother to her.”

A post shared by Kevin McKidd (@therealkmckidd) on

“Joe and Iona are the best guiding lights to these new souls. Arielle is a WARRIOR and I’m so proud to witness her natural mothering strength and wisdom. Full of love and gratitude #clanmckidd,” the dad-of-four added.

Kevin and Arielle are also parents to one-year-old son Aiden.

He also shares two children-17-year-old Iona and 19-year-old Joe- with his ex-wife, Jane Parker.

The actor, best known for playing Dr Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy, married Arielle Goldrath in 2018.

Congratulations to Kevin and Arielle on the birth of their beautiful baby girl.

Fans of Grey’s Anatomy have been through their fair share of heartache since the show originally aired in 2005.

We have had to say goodbye to some of the show’s biggest characters including Mark Sloan, Lexie Grey and the toughest of all, Derek Shepherd. Every character death leaves us in floods of tears and it looks like the season 15 finale is going to be another tear-jerker.

Make sure you have the tissues at the ready because you’re going to be a blubbering wreck if rumours about the next character to be killed off are true.

A post shared by Kevin McKidd (@therealkmckidd) on

We haven’t lost a major main character since McDreamy died but it looks like things are about to change this year.

It looks like Owen Hunt, who is about to welcome a daughter with his ‘person’ Teddy, could be killed off.

The doctor has been through hell and back. He served four tours in Afghanistan, believed his sister was dead for years, lost his best friend and had to say goodbye to the true love of his life Cristina Yang.

A post shared by Kevin McKidd (@therealkmckidd) on

He has finally started attending therapy and is coming to terms with his troubles. He has adopted Leo and is about to welcome another child into his life with Teddy, but is he about to be robbed of his happy ever after?

In the promo video for the upcoming finale, Owen can be seen in a car with Schmidt and a blood donor. The trio is trapped in the vehicle after severe fog causes numerous cars to crash.

Surely Owen deserves a happy ending after all he’s been through? Or will Shonda Rhimes break fans’ hearts (yet again) with another harrowing death?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Grey’s Anatomy hasn’t been the same since Patrick Dempsey’s departure in 2015. Bidding farewell to McDreamy was one of the show’s most heartbreaking storylines but just because Derek isn’t around anymore doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Shepherd family.

Amelia Shepherd quickly became a fan favourite when actress Catherine Scorsone joined the show as a main cast member in season 11.

She quickly took over her brother’s department and made a name for herself as quite the kick-ass neurosurgeon.

However, Amelia isn’t the only gifted sister in the Shepherd family. We are set to meet another one of Derek’s sisters in the coming episodes.

Actress Amy Acker has been cast as McDreamy’s sister Kathleen. Just like her siblings, Kathleen is a gifted doctor, specialising in psychiatry.

It is understood that Amy Acker will make her Grey’s Anatomy debut in an episode that focuses on Amelia.

Fans know very little about Derek’s sister Kathleen other than the fact that she is married with children.

Speaking to TV Line about the episode where we will meet Amelia’s sister, actress Catherine Scorsone said: “It's definitely a little standalone. It's almost like a little movie on its own."

There’s no doubt the episode will be full of drama considering everything Amelia has been going through in the latest series.

The doctor has had to deal with Owen having a baby with Teddy, Betty/Brittany’s addiction and the risk of Leo being taken away from her and Owen.

We cannot wait for Amy Acker to join the show. The Gifted actress will be the most incredible addition to the show.

The worst thing about Grey’s Anatomy is the never-ending goodbyes we have to say to our favourite characters. We’ve bid farewell to many of our favourite doctors over the years, from McDreamy to Lexie and it looks like we’re set for another major goodbye this season.

Season 15 of the medical drama series has certainly been jam-packed with drama, from Teddy’s surprise pregnancy to Meredith’s complicated love life.

A post shared by Grey's Anatomy Official (@greysabc) on

However, one of the most heartbreaking storylines so far has been Catherine Fox’s cancer diagnosis. The powerhouse surgeon has been diagnosed with quite the rare tumour and fans are worried about the doctor’s fate.

The latest trailer for this week’s episode features the major surgery to remove Catherine’s tumour but things don’t go according to plan despite Amelia and Koracick’s thorough preparations for the surgery.

A post shared by Kim Raver Source (@kimraversource) on

We must admit our hearts stopped when we heard the words: “If we keep going, we cost Catherine her life.”

The clip sees the duo panic as an unexpected complication arises during Catherine’s surgery. This is then followed by a clip of Catherine’s son, Jackson sobbing in the corridor of the hospital.

The last major death on Grey’s Anatomy was Derek Shepherd and we’re still recovering from that loss if we’re honest.

Plus, we have already waved goodbye to two of the show’s most kickass female doctors last season. When Arizona and April were cruelly axed from the show. Surely Grey Sloan can’t lose another empowering female character?

It looks like we’re going to have to sit tight and wait and see what happens to Catherine in the upcoming episode The Winner Takes It All.

Katherine Heigl documented the cutest date night ever yesterday.

The actress has been swamped with her new role in the drama series Suits and was in desperate need for some one-on-one time with her hubby Josh Kelly.

The happy couple had an intimate evening enjoying tasty eats, sipping fruity cocktails, and enjoying relaxing foot massages.

“Happy Thursday! I had the day off from Suits and took full advantage of my man Josh Kelly being in town for a visit,” the mum said.

“First stop, gin and tonics at my favourite English Pub, the Oxley Public House. Next, foot massages at a nearby spa, then martinis and perfecting my sexy pout at the Hazelton Hotel bar and finally a cheese plate perfectly made by my hubby.”

"It was most definitely one of those heavenly days to savour and remember!"

And from their fun-filled photos, it looks like they had a fabulously romantic night together.

The two are all smiles as they bask in their date night celebrations, cherishing the love that has only grown stronger of the years.

The parenting pair recently celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary, and Katherine wrote a hilarious and touching tribute to her husband to commemorate the marriage milestone

A post shared by Katherine Heigl (@katherineheigl) on

“When the whole world falls into disarray and nothing makes sense to me he is my shelter, my safe harbour. When self-doubt and self-loathing creep into my soul he is my champion, my number one fan,” the Grey’s Anatomy star gushed.

How sweet! The dynamic duo share so much love for one another.

We are happy that Katherine and Josh were able to snag some time away from their routines to spend a much-needed romantic evening together.
