When will the madness stop?

We're not even halfway through, but 2017 has already brought us more denim faux pas than we care to remember.

'Knee windows', clear plastic jeans, detachable short-trousers and now this – the '2 Jeans Dress.'

You guessed it, a dress made out of two pairs of upside-down, denim jeans.

Just because.

The silhouette of the jeans is still clear to see and the buttons, pockets and even loop hole are all still intact.

It's a bold statement to say the least, and one we're kind of hoping won't take off.

Shopbop are selling the questionable garment for €401, but we don't imagine they'll be out of stock any time soon.

Fitness trackers promise a lot of things.

More energy, better sleep, weight control – but do they really live up to the hype?

Well, a new study has revealed that while the devices are effective in monitoring heart rate, they may not be quite as reliable when it comes to keeping track of calories burned.

Researchers from the Stanford University put seven of the most popular fitness tracking devices to the test, comparing their data with ''gold standard'' laboratory measurements.

According to The Guardian, co-author of the study, Euan Ashley said, “We were pleasantly surprised at how well the heart rate did – under many circumstances for most of the devices, they actually did really quite well.”

“At the same time we were unpleasantly surprised at how poor the calorie estimates were for the devices – they were really all over the map.”

Scientists examined seven wearable trackers, with 31 men and 29 women each wearing multiple devices while performing various levels of physical activity.

The data was then extracted and compared to the ''gold standard'' lab measures.

The Apple Watch was found to give the most accurate readings with a median error rate of just 2 per cent, while the Samsung Gear S2 performed the worst with a median error in heart rate of 6.8 per cent.

Researches say the findings may have consequences for those who rely on fitness trackers for an accurate measure of their health.

“When you consider that people are using these estimates to essentially make lifestyle decisions like what they are going to eat for lunch then I think that is something that is worth knowing and people should know to take these estimates with more than a pinch of salt,” said Euan.

So basically, make healthy choices, exercise regularly and don't take your fitness tracker too seriously.

In an industry utterly obsessed with body image, it's hardly surprising that the incessant scrutiny young actresses find themselves under on a daily basis can eventually take its toll.

Having clearly had her fill of ill-advised remarks pertaining to her appearance, Sarah Hyland decided to address the narrative before highlighting the misconceptions which have been made in relation to her size.

I hear all the kids are wearing chokers now a days. #criticschoiceawards

The 26-year-old Modern Family star took to Twitter yesterday to both silence her critics and provide her fans with an insight into the struggles she has endured over the last 12 months.

"I'd like to address something that has not only been brought up on Twitter, but has been HEAVILY discussed by all of you in my Instagram comments. That something is my weight."

Acknowledging that she generally seeks to ignore the dialogue, Sarah admitted that she felt compelled to address it this time around.

"Here goes… I haven't had the greatest year. Maybe one day I'll talk about it but for now I'd like my privacy. I will say this year has brought a lot of changes and with that physical changes.I have been told that I can't work out. Which for me is very upsetting."

Devastated that she has been prevented from training, Sarah continued: "I am not a fan of 'being skinny'".

Having been told to 'eat a burger' and that her 'head was bigger than her body', Sarah said she agreed with her critics, writing: "No one's head should be bigger than their body but considering I've basically been put on bed rest for the past few months, I've lost a lot of muscle mass."

While Sarah is determined to return to full health, she insists that she refuses to let the public's insensitive remarks get to her, writing: "I know that when I get clearance, I will be able to get back to the strong, lean and fabulous self I know I can be."

And in a move which illustrates Sarah's understanding of her vulnerability in the public eye, she concluded by writing: "My self confidence is not rendered from your comments."

"I will always be too fat. I will always be too skinny. I will never have enough curves to be called a real woman, And I will always be a slut for wearing a push up bra."

When you don't feel well you're supposed to post vain pictures of yourself correct?

Finishing by encouraging her fans to err on the side of positivity, she wrote: "Smile, Laugh, Love, Be happy. Support your peers. Love. Work hard. Be confident. Love."

Sarah's post has been inundated with supportive comments from fans who encouraged the actress to stay positive in spite of her poor health.

"You're such an inspiration! Sending positive vibes your way and a quick recovery," wrote one.

Sarah, who rose to fame playing Hayley Dunphy in the smash hit sitcom, had a kidney transplant in 2012.

It's safe to say Game of Thrones has a pretty hardcore fanbase.

The hugely popular fantasy series has captivated audiences across the globe, and the latest trailer has left fans shook.

The seventh season returns this July and according to the trailer, ''The great war is here.''

In previous years, the series has kicked off around April, but this year fans must wait until mid summer to get their fix.

The penultimate season will contain just seven episodes and will feature a cameo appearance from Ed Sheeran.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, show-runner, Davis Beniff said, “For a long time we’ve been talking about ‘the wars to come’.”

“Well, that war is pretty much here. So it’s really about trying to find a way to make the storytelling work without feeling like we’re rushing it.”

The seventh season of Game of Thrones begins on July 16.

Tom Hardy has started a fundraising page to raise money for victims of Monday night's terror attack in Manchester.

The actor described the events as an “inconceivable atrocity” and has now set up a Just Giving page in order to gather donations for the British Red Cross Society's 'We Love Manchester Emergency Fund'.

On the page he writes: “There is no bringing back those who have been lost, pointlessly, in such a cowardly and brutal fashion.''

“I am truly saddened by what I have witnessed and there is no doubt that terrorism is an evil thing.''

“There will be much to do and for many the beginning of a new life without those that they love and also a new life damaged irrevocably by the actions of a crime which has no reason, no heartfelt purpose but was simply a cruel cowardly and barbaric, meaningless act of violence.''

“And it is with those, the innocent victims and the witnesses of this atrocity that my heartfelt concern and deepest sympathy lies.”

The star set out to raise £15,000, but that total has since been surpassed with £17,147 raised so far.

Meanwhile, organisations, individuals and community groups have donated over £2 million in just 24 hours to the Manchester Evening News' fundraising campaign.

But, you're going to be super excited about this reprisal, especially after you see the woman who's behind it.

The Hunger Games star and all-round badass woman Elizabeth Banks has secured the remake and we can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve.

What's more, a release date has already been set for the film – June 2019.

The actress has been hired by Sony to revitalise the TV and movie franchise, however the cast details are still being kept under wraps.

Now, the cafe is making more than a culinary gesture to the community.

In a recent Facebook post, the D7 cafe shared a snap of a 'pick me up pack,' free to anyone who needs it.

As a mark of respect to the hundreds affected by the Monday night's atrocity in Manchester, it has been reported that much-loved fashion brand, Boohoo, donated £100,000 to a fund established to support victims of the terrorist attack.

Upon learning of the carnage which unfolded in the wake of an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena on May 22, the brand took to Twitter to express their heartache over events.

"Today we wake up to news we never imagined we would hear," they wrote referring to the death of dozens of innocent concert-goers.

"Boohoo was born and bred in Manchester – it is the place we call home. Our thoughts are with all those affected. As a sign for all those involved, our channels will remain silent for 24 hours."

Following the brand's decision to remain silent, they then responded to a crowd funding appeal put forward by the Manchester Evening News.

With the publication calling for donations, it has been revealed that the fashion line donated a staggering £100,000.

While the brand decided not to highlight their altruism, the Manchester Evening News paid tribute to their generosity in a Twitter post.

"They didn't want a big fuss but @boohoo made a £100,000 donation to #Manchester! Thank you." read the post.

Meanwhile, British food retailer, Morrisons, donated £250,000 bringing the fund to just over £1,000,000.

Monday night saw one of worst acts of terrorism the UK has ever seen.

22 people were killed and a further 59 injured after a suicide bomber detonated a device at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Arena.

As those caught up in the event scrambled to find their loved ones, Stephen Jones, a homeless man who was sleeping near the venue, preformed a heroic act of kindness amidst the chaos.

Speaking to ITV News, Stephen described how he pulled nails out of a little girls face.

''They needed the help. I'd like to think someone would come and help me if I needed the help,'' he said.

''It was a lot of children with blood all over them – crying and screaming. We were having to pull nails out of their arms and a couple out of this little girl’s face.''

Stephen's heroic act caught the attention of West Ham football club's co-chairman, David Sullivan and his son.

The pair then took to Twitter in an effort to track him down.

JustGiving page was also set up for Stephen and has raised over £21,000 so far.

The money raised will go towards finding him permanent accommodation in Manchester.

We all fight with our baes, besties and family members occasionally, and it's those fights with the people who really know how to hurt you that sting the most.

Whether it's a sly dig at a personality flaw you've been working on or an insecurity of yours that gets brought up, it's those horrible moments that really hurt.

'When [you're] in conflict, inevitably [you] will say something that hurts the other person using the inside information that you have on them or that they have on you,' relationship expert Hal Runkel told Business Insider.

'Everything in you wants to scream something right back at them: "Oh yeah? Well, you're starting to look like your mother!'"

According to the expert, it's not 'sorry' that will bring the argument to resolution, but 'ouch' instead.

When things are getting heated, it's at this point that you can take the 'ouch' phrase out of your arsenal and use it to your advantage.

The relationship expert explained that the best phrase to use is:

'Ouch. That one hurt. I don't know if you were meaning to hurt me.'

'I don't know if that's what you were going for; but that's what you did.'

It sounds like the updated version of 'I'm not mad, just disappointed,' and if 'ouch' instils fear into the hearts of our opponents the way that phrase used to in our teens, we're using it.
