New York is currently under a lot of snow, but that didn’t stop Sarah Jessica Parker from popping on some particularly unsuitable footwear.

Not one to put sense before style, the former Sex and the City star struggled to manoeuvre through a pretty treacherous snow mound recently as she tried to get into a waiting cab.

Rather than going back and popping on a pair of wellingtons, the actress enlisted the help of her assistant to get her over the pile.

She was all smiles as she finally managed to get into the car – probably chuffed that she managed to get in without falling.

We shouldn’t expect anything less from the fashionista who, just like her character Carrie Bradshaw, has a bit of an obsession with shoes. The fashion designer has even launched her own line of footwear – she may want to design a nice pair of wellingtons, without a heel.

She may have only just split with husband Lamar Odom but that hasn’t stopped Khloe Kardashian from having a good time.

Khloe was seen on the dance floor getting very close to rapper The Game and even twerking at one stage. What may make the whole situation even stranger is her mother Kris was there.

Eric Northman in a loin cloth? Ah we might pop in and see what the fuss is when it comes out.

Alex Skarsgård, who plays Eric Northman in HBO’s True Blood has been cast to play Tarzan in the upcoming movie production.

New Hollywood starlet Margot Robbie will be taking on the role of Jane. It is thought the role was originally supposed to go to Jessica Chastain.

Unfortunately we will have to wait till 2016 to see the movie which is in pre-production with Warner Bros.

Following a public Twitter spat between Niall and Mike involving Mike’s behaviour during the Six Nations game last Saturday, Paddy Powers are stirring the argument in the only way they know how – a good old fashioned bet.

The bookies are trying to get the Irish singer and the Welsh rugby player to step into the boxing ring and face off.

They have offered €50,000 for the winner’s charity of choice and €10,000 for the loser’s. Is that an offer they can’t refuse?

This salad has amazing flavours with the sweet earthiness of the roasted beets and the salty creaminess of the feta –  it is perfection.

This would be great as a starter for your valentine or even as a healthy lunch.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 medium sized beetroots
  • 3 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 200g good-quality feta cheese, cubed or crumbled
  • 2 handfuls of rocket

What you’ll need to do: 

  1. To roast the beets, wash and peel them. Cut them into bite-size chunks.
  2. Place in a roasting dish and sprinkle with sea salt and the rapeseed oil. Put them in a pre-heated oven at 200°C for about 45 mins until tender. When cooked, reserve any juices that are in the roasting tin.
  3. Arrange the rocket on two plates and add the feta and roasted beetroot on top.
  4. In a bowl, drain the roasted beetroot juice and add a tsp of balsamic reduction and season.
  5. Pour over the salads and serve with some crusty bread.

Sometimes you just have to stay in on date night. The reasons could be financial, maybe the weather is terrible or maybe you don’t want to leave the comfort of your own home.

That doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with your date though!

There is only one rule to this being a success and that is: strictly no phones or laptops allowed. This will ensure you give each other your full attention and the night will be more memorable.

1. Have a movie night
Fresh popcorn, lots of sweets and a bunch of movies (one choice each).

2. Cook a meal
It’s no secret that food is sensual and that it is the way to many people’s heart so plan a fancy meal together, it doesn’t have to be expensive; there are plenty of economically savvy meals out there.

3. Listen to music
Take turns showing each other your favourite songs, cute! Just make sure you keep it kinda cool – Justin Bieber isn’t going to do you any favours.

4. Play cards
Play a game of Spit for the ultimate relationship game changer. If you lose and pound him in the face and he leaves, at least you know it could never have worked. You need to find someone who understands your passion for Spit (the game).

Other less dangerous card games for two include Gin Rummy or Shithead.

5. Make a ridiculously extravagant cake
Picking it out will be the most fun! We’re talking about a double-chocolate, triple-oreo, buttery, gooey type of cake here. Think ‘what would Nigella make’.

Getting your hair cut is not normally a big deal, but Taylor Swift never half does things.

The We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together singer recently got the chop and brought an audience along to witness the cut.

The  24-year-old even got a round of applause from her onlookers.

The I knew You Were Trouble popstar shared a video of the event on her Instagram account and one fan even commented that they could see Harry Styles in the background – although the chances of that being true are pretty slim.

Taylor also showed off her new do in an Instagram snap of her and Ellie Goulding.

She captioned the picture: “London, I could never thank you enough. See you next time! PS: short hair, don’t care. (!!!)”
