Well, just when we thought we'd seen it all, something else comes along and knocks us off our feet.

Speaking of feet, an absolute fashion atrocity has been committed, and someone needs to call the police before this crime to humanity gets out of hand.

An Etsy shop owner is now selling custom Crocs for your special wedding day, which are covered in sparkling sequins and come in a range of colours. We feel attacked.

The company renowned for their comfortable, but controversially ugly shoes tried to change its footwear up with fanny packs and individual designer's 'Goth Crocs'.

This latest attempt to modernise their audience and cater for brides who don't want to be hobbling down the aisle in painful shoes may actually be successful, but they're fairly expensive.

Bridal Crocs are currently about €91 if bought online, minus shipping, due to the fact that they are custom made for the wedding day.

If the exorbitant price doesn't bother you, and you're seeking unbeatable comfort and sparkles for your special day, grab yourself a pair online now.

Maybe prepare yourself for the legions of people who will undoubtedly slag you all day though, just sayin'.

We have always been believers in an ugly but practical shoes – and thankfully that is exactly what is on trend this summer (YAY!)

Yep, sliders are this season's hottest shoe trend, and we honestly could not be happier about it.

Now, we're not talking about your classic pool slides that are kind of ugly (but also still cool, we might add!), we're talking about pool sliders 2.0.

These traditionally dorky shoes have been given a high-fashion upgrade by many of our favourite stores (looking at you, Zara!)

With all of this wonderful information in mind, we did a little round up of our FAVOURITE slides on the market at the moment.

You're welcome!

Fashion retailer Zara, is known to provide high-end style at high-street prices and shoppers are going crazy for their latest offering.

The popular store have taken inspiration from Dolce & Gabbana for their new Printed Slingback Mid Heel Shoes, and they're quickly becoming this season's must-have item.

Eagle-eyed shoppers have noticed that the sling-backs bare a striking resemblance to Dolce & Gabbana's Printed Varnish Pumps.

The shoes are almost identical in style and shape, with just slightly different floral prints setting them apart.

Well, that and the price.

Dolce & Gabbana's designer pair will set you back hefty €625, while the knock-off version comes in at a modest €49.95 in comparison.

By our calculations €625 would get you 13 pairs of Zara's low-budget alternative – or y'know, pay your rent for the month.

It seems that the fashion world's obsession with all things 90s is never ending.

The latest item to be resurrected from the sartorial graveyard might surprise you, and for any 90s kids,  it will definitely remind you of your secondary school days.

Platform school shoes were a staple for 90s teens, if you could get away with them, and they matched our chunky highlights and Backstreet Boys hoodie.

While we definitely envied our peers who were allowed don those platform, clunky heeled school shoes, there is no way our mams were letting us head off to school in any shoes higher than a sensible half inch.

This is why when we saw these platforms on Gucci's website, our inner teenager begged for them immediately.

The shoes themselves are a platform adaption of the classic Gucci loafer, but they are distinctly reminiscent of the clunky school platforms we needed in our lives in 1998, but with a majorly modern update.

A post shared by Zig Metzler (@ziggy_shoots) on

Unfortunately they are slightly out of our price range at €1,100.00. Just slightly…

Vintage shops are a hot bed of the original versions of the school shoes, so we know where we will be looking if they officially make a comeback.

Now, all we need is some roll-on body glitter and our old Spice Girls C.D…

Whether it's our  mother, our aunt, or our clean-freak BFF, we all know someone who makes us take our shoes off at the door.

And we all might think that this is to keep their houses spick and span, but it turns out there's a way more hygienic reason for it.

According to a new study carried out at the University of Hoxton, our shoe soles are probably the dirtiest things we own, and they have a whole load of pathogenic germs (which are the really bad kind) on them.

fashion, get ready, getting ready

But, it's not just muck and dirt the researchers found. Living on your shoe sole is clostridium difficile, which can cause some pretty nasty bacterial infections.

Clostridium difficile was found on 26.4 per cent of shoe soles.

And if you think wiping your shoes on the mat before you walk in the door will help – it won't.

Dr Kevin Garey, who led the study said: "You have to think of the person who wiped their feet before. You might be picking [up] stuff they left behind.”

So, there you go. Listen to your mammy and take off your shoes.

Oh, and while we have you; don't forget to have your say in the inaugural SHEmazing Awards this May! It's time to vote, and you can do it right here!

Buying new shoes can be one of those expenses that cost a little bit more than one would like.

Luckily, Penneys new season shoes are absolutely amazing, and the high street bargain brand is nailing multiple trends with their perfectly designed footwear.

And being Penneys finest, they are all completely affordable.

Ballerina pumps with silver hardware, €13.00

Luckily, we're coming out of winter, and these strappy pumps are the perfect way to transition from boots to sandals without freezing your feet off.

The perfect way to add edge to any outfit, we're slightly obsessed with these buckled beauties.

Loafers €13.00

2017 was the year everyone became besotted with Gucci loafers, and Penneys is offering a designer look for a bargain price tag.

These loafers are ideal for work, paired with jeans and a white shirt.

Luckily, they can also be dressed up heading into summer, with a mini skirt and faux fur gillet.

Ballerina flats €9.00

A nod to last seasons Miu Miu ballerina flats, these ribbon-tie shoes are completely adorable.

Pair with a dreamy dress for a girly outfit, or try them with mom jeans and a ruffed jumper for off-duty model style.

Pink satin runners €15.00

Comfort is always high on our agendas when it comes to footwear, so these runners caught our eye immediately.

The pink satin finish is extremely cute, and the baby pink laces match perfectly.

Peep toe boots, €25.00

Want something a little more daring?

These over-the-knee, peep-to boots are extremely cool, and would look stylish when paired with a ruffled dress, or even over jeans teamed with a bardot top.

Can Penneys do no wrong?
