You might think you’re choosing a certain shade of lipstick to co-ordinate it with your outfit, but your choice of lipstick has more to do with your personality than it does with your clothes – for the most part anyway.

Bright and Red
If you find yourself always going for red shades it means you’re a passionate gal who isn’t afraid to draw attention to your lips.

Black
As dark as night, women who like black lipstick are generally less approachable. People who don’t know you might even find you intimidating.

Clear and nude
You’re a confident gal with a cool and calm personality. With nude lovers, what you see is what you get.

Feeling pink
Pink lovers are usually sweet and have a kind heart.

Brown and mauves
If you’re a fan of deep mauves and browns, it means you like to take a slightly different path. You’re also no stranger to adventures.

Ronan Keating got a little upset when being slagged off on the Kyle and Jackie O show and stormed out.

Things get a little personal and he gets called a “boyband dancing clown”. Watch it right up to the end – it gets even better!

Keating is getting ready to hit the big screen, with this début feature film featuring at this year’s Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

Mark Lamprell’s Goddess is a musical based on a one-woman show by Joanna Weinberg, which has a lot of laughs, as well as a great soundtrack.

Ronan will play the part of James in the film, a whale-saving activist with an unfulfilled wife stuck at home.

1. Travel insurance
Make sure you have adequate health and travel insurance before embarking on your trip – it could save you a lot of money and hassle.

2. Make copies of everything
We mean EVERYTHING – passports, credit cards, travel itinerary and anything else you can think of. Leave one copy with your family at home, and take one with you too.

3. Get all appropriate shots
Visit your GP a few months before your trip and find out what shots you need for where you may be going. These will stand to you and may save you from getting ill.

4. Give your family or a close friend your exact travel itinerary
Leave copies of your itinerary with them so they know what area of a country you will be in at any given day. If you make any changes to your plans you should let them know as soon as you can.

5. Don’t bring valuables
This one should be obvious – leave the jewellery, laptops and iPads behind. They will only draw unwanted attention and may end up being more of a hinderance than a help.

6. Always be aware of your surroundings
Never allow yourself to get too distracted and always try to be aware of who and what is around you at any time.

7. Carry a first-aid kit.
You need to have a good first aid kit when travelling, especially if you want to trek through jungles and climb mountains. Plaster, pain killers, antiseptic wipes and cream, bug repellent, oral rehydration tablets and anything else you can think of that may make your trip a bit easier.

8. Stay hydrated
This is so important. You need to make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water to ensure you stay alert and avoid dehydration or sunstroke. In many countries you should only drink bottled water and always check the seals. The local water may not be dirty but it could have microbes our immune system is not used to and could make you ill. Water purification tablets are also a very good idea.

9. Be aware of the culture
Always be aware of what the culture is regarding women and clothing before entering a country. To avoid unwanted attention it is important to dress appropriately. Have a small collection of shawls for entering churches and religious sites.

10. Be a traveller, not a party animal
It’s no lie that worse things happen at 3am than they do at 3pm so take it easy. Remember you can drink and stay up all night at home any time you want but you are here to experience a different country and culture so get a good night’s rest!

Anna Nolan, presenter of The Great Irish Bake Off, officially opened Dublin’s second Natural Bakery store in Donnybrook yesterday.

The Natural Bakery opened its first store in Kilmainham and third will soon open in Rathmines.

A state of the art bakery is located on site in the Donnybrook store and the company boasts a highly skilled team of bakers.

Breads from all over the world will be available, from the Irish brown and white soda, French baguettes and Pain de Champagne and Poland’s Roogalla as well as a wide range of delicious cakes and pastries.

Owner of The Natural Bakery, Luke Creighton, spoke about his delight at the opening of the new store: “When we opened our first store in Kilmainham we never imagined that we would see queues of people outside the store waiting to buy our products. I feel very confident that this shop in Donnybrook and indeed the shop we will be opening next month in Rathmines will also be a hit. We are creating jobs and in my opinion we are also creating some of the best breads and pastries in the city.”

Valentine’s Day may seem like a day for couples but it’s still a celebration of love in all of its strange and wonderful forms.

This Valentine’s Day get your group of girls and do one (or some!) of these fun activities. Even the girl who is never without a boyfriend will ditch him when she hears what you’re all are up to!

1. Go for dinner
You’ll be guaranteed a table as it will be mostly twos and who knows, maybe you might see a proposal or two, ahh.

2. Afternoon tea
Put on your Races dress (and hat!) and head to your nearest posh hotel for a spot of fancy afternoon tea. What’s more satisfying than drinking tea out of pretty patterned teacups sitting in front of a cake stand full of little cakes and triangle sandwiches. We agree, nothing.

3. Cook dinner
Devise a menu, hit the supermarket and make the girls an amazing meal. Go all out with starter, main and dessert – yum!

4. Movie marathon
Grab your favourite movies, popcorn, sweets and lots of pillows and blankets for a cosy night in.

5. Hike
If it’s a nice day out hit the hills. It’s so nice to share beautiful views and fun day out with your group of friends. Remember to take lots of photos.

6. Weekend away
If you want to go all out then book into a luxurious hotel somewhere nice or rent a house and have a relaxing weekend in new surroundings with your friends. Wine and chats will be had!

7. Spa day
Head to the spa with your girls and go all out – facials, nails, massage, pedi. You’ll feel like a new person.

It has been confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger won’t be returning to the X Factor UK this year.

The singer is said to wish to concentrate on her music career after putting it on hold for The X Factor last year.

Nicole has also recently reconciled with her ex fiancée, Lewis Hamilton, who resides in the US – could this have something to do with her decision? The couple have been on-again-off-again for almost six years so perhaps they have decided to give it their all this time around.

One thing is for sure: X Factor is doomed if Cheryl Cole doesn’t return!

Talking to reporters at the London premiere of Monuments Men, George Clooney said it was really hard to get Matt Damon to the set because he “drinks a lot”.

George is not usually one to be mean about his friends but he went on to add that the 43-year-old was the most difficult to work with on a daily basis.

He said: “It is hard to get him out of the trailer sometimes. I don’t like to use the word ‘diva’ or throw that around, but you know what I am saying.”

Now before you get all stroppy and defensive about the poor Matt, George was actually only joking – he really is a big kid at heart and he is well known for his prankster ways.

When he was filming Ocean’s Twelve with Brad Pitt, the 52-year-old stuck bumper stickers on Brad’s car.

One sticker said “Small Penis on Board” and according to Matt Damon:  “People were honking at him and waving and he thinks it’s because he’s Brad Pitt and he’s waving back”.

The three celebs sound like they have the best fun ever.
