Former Disney and X-Factor US star Ricky Garcia is suing his former manager for alleged rape, according to reports by TMZ and DailyMail.com.

The actor and singer found fame after he was chosen by Simon Cowell to form a boyband on the talent show, but the 20-year-old has accused Joby Harte of sexual assault and rape from the age of 12 onwards.

In documents filed by attorney Ben Meiselas of Geragos and Geragos, Garcia claims that Harte and his company Hot Rock Media used the ‘well-worn paedophile playbook of grooming and seduction’ to consistently get him ‘black out drunk’ only for Ricky to wake up in the morning beside him naked.

"Defendant Harte, the ringleader, employed the well-worn paedophile playbook of grooming and seduction. He targeted an economically and emotionally vulnerable pre-teen and his parents. He then groomed and seduced the child’s mother to have her lay down her defences and give him unfettered access to her son, making her an unwitting accomplice to his depravity," the documents reportedly state.

Garcia starred in Disney’s Best Friends Whenever, also alleges that Harte  groomed him into a ‘sexual plaything that could be passed around his friends in the business’, including producer Nils Larsen. The claims have been categorically denied by Larsen and ex-APA agent Tyler Grasham in the ‘malicious prosecution’,

Garcia is suing Harte, Grasham, Larsen, Hot Rock Media, Cohen/Thomas Management and its partners Sheri Andersen Thomas and Paul Cohen, as well as APA. On Harte's Wikipedia page, it states that he helped to lanch ITV show Pop Idol and worked on Strictly Come Dancing.

Ricky wrote to his Instagram to tell fans that "today was one of the most difficult days of my life";

"Sadly I know my experience is just one of many and I hope my actions today will help others who experienced abuse to know that they are not alone and that there are people in this world fighting for them.

"So please if anyone is out there right now going through something even remotely similar to what I went through, please, we all need to speak out about this – yes of course I want justice for the POS that manipulated me, but more importantly this is about saving anyone else who feels like they don’t have a voice," the actor continued.

"YOU are not alone. This can happen to anyone you know. It’s just a matter of talking about this to people and letting your close ones know that it’s not okay."

He concluded the post; "So if anyone knows anyone else that’s going through this s**t as well. It’s so important to speak up for them."

Ricky auditioned for The X Factor US season three when he was just 14-years-old, before being eliminated during the boot camp round.

Simon Cowell asked him to return along with Emery Kelly and Jon Klaasen to form a trio called Forever in Your Mind. They were cut before the final 16 but were later signed to Hollywood Records.

Tyler Grasham was fired from APA in October 2017 amid sexual harassment and assault allegations from Blaise Godbe Lipman, Lucas Ozarowski and Jordan Gavaris.

We decided to investigate Harry Styles' net worth, instead of focusing on our own empty bank balance. It's somewhat cathartic.

The former star of One Direction has made a crazy amount of cash, and we decided to do some digging. For research purposes…

His infamous hair is earned him numerous endorsements, and the band itself made most of their earnings from their Pepsi days and touring.

While they may be on a very extended 'break', Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson became millionares after chugging out album after album in a short space of time.

First of all, 1D sales are beyond insane. According to RIAA, One Direction has sold $13.5 million in digital singles, which is basically in downloaded singles alone.

Their album sales are also on the high end of the spectrum; 2013’s Midnight Memories was that year’s best-selling album, selling a whopping 4 million copies worldwide.

Let's not forget the merch, shall we? Piles of cash came in from their 2014 Where We Are Tour in particular. It became the highest-grossing tour of the year with $290.2 million.

Their 2013 Take Me Home tour also made $114 million, and 2015’s On the Road Again Tour made $208 million. So they've got plenty to brag about.

Bear in mind, the money had to be divided in five as well as siphoned off to their management and those who worked on set and on tour with them. STILL, it's cold hard cash.

LOOK HOW CUTE THEY WERE:

Their merch strategy was out of this world; they could have sold a dirty old sock and fans would pay millions for it. You can still find merch of the bands actually..might get some more?

Their This Is Us movie earned a casual $8.9 million on its opening day alone, so there's that too. We confess, we went to see it, Twice.

One Direction also made sure to work with brands to get endorsements, such as Toyota and Pepsi.

Apart from all that coin he made in the infamous boy band, Harry also had his self-titled debut album and movie roles as part of his earnings.

His self-titled musical offering sold well, with one million copies being bought to be exact, and his solo tour making $62 million

His role in Dunkirk presumably paid well, and his modelling for GUCCI tailoring also gave him a handsome salary.

His L.A. home was only recently put on the market for $7.495 million, so he's got some money tied up in real estate property, and a $6.8 million NYC apartment, as well as his $3 million London home.

Which means…according to Celebrity Net Worth, our boy Harry has a total of $75 million to his name.

We just shed a single tear for the state of our financial independence…

The X-Factor isn't on many of our 'To Watch' lists anymore, despite the fact that it used to be one of the most influential shows on ITV.

An old clip from the show has resurfaced and is causing a LOT of drama , mainly because of Simon Cowell's fat-shaming contestants.

The video went viral after one Twitter user found a clip from the show's early days which highlights the RELENTLESSLY harsh comments given by the judges.

In the clip, a newlywed named Samantha auditions for a place on the star search show, and faces absolute abuse from the judges at the time; Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon says; "I think you have a lovely face and a lovely voice," after Louis refers to the singer as "mission impossible."

Though Samantha is eventually voted through to the next round of The X-Factor, Sharon tells her to "go on a diet" after Simon wonders what she's "willing to do." WHAT?

Another Twitter user reminded the internet of how ruthless the music industry was during those years, claiming "Adele wouldn't have stood a chance of making it even with her amazing voice."

(That's just plain nonsense, Adele could change the WORLD with one single note.)

Other social media users reacted with outrage at the clip, claiming to be "shaken" by the harsh comments, which Simon earned fame for.

We think Samantha is gorgeous inside and out, we hope she's happy and confident wherever she is.

The X-Factor isn't the stage you want to bomb on, particularly if you were a judge on the singing show.

You're literally judging other people and giving them the boot based on their talent and ability.

So you better perform your heart out and show them what it takes to reach superstar status.

Unfortunately, Cheryl didn't get the memo, Twitter exploded with opinions about her appearance – and they aren't good.

Despite the critics, many fans jumped to her defence.

They applauded the singer for her live vocals and full dance routine.

However, we are team CRINGE – perhaps it was the song itself or her dancing, but we felt awkward from start to finish.

Judge for yourself and let us know what you think.

As women, we would love to believe that we live in an equal world with our male counterparts.

However, we know the reality of that is far from our hopes and we often encounter inequalities in all areas of our day to day activities.

Little Mix are all too familiar with this as women in the music industry and they're determined to stand up against it – Yass, gals.

In a recent interview, the band, who are comprised of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson, claimed that when women want to take control of their careers, they are given different treatment to men.

"It’s double standards when you’re young women. When we started out it was almost like, ‘This is your lane, stay in your lane. You’re the faces and the name’. We’re not. We’re the brand," Perrie told The Sun.

“We’re businesswomen. It’s our baby. So everything we do creatively comes from us. It is frustrating that if a group of guys were to say, ‘We’re not going to do that song, we’re going to release this song’, it’s like, ‘Maybe we should listen’.

"Whereas when we do it, it’s like, ‘Oh they’re at it again, they’re whining…But we’re not. We’re perfectionists. We take everything we do so seriously. It’s important to us,” she added.

The group clearly know their market as they've dominated the charts with their smash hits since their X-factor fame in 2011.

Little Mix have just released their fifth studio album, LM5, but the new music is no longer under the management of Simon Cowell.

Earlier this month, Simon announced the band's split from his record label.

The music mogul insisted that the end of their working relationship came with no bad blood, saying: "They are the hardest working bunch of girls I’ve ever worked with. They deserve everything they’ve got”.

Little Mix commented on their new music saying it was the album they've "always wanted to make."

We can't wait to play them on repeat, and fair play to the women, may they continue their battle with of getting the recognition and treatment they deserve – regardless of their gender.

Every voice in the fight for equality is vital and we still have a long way to go before we are treated on the same par with men professionally.

Simon Cowell, the British music mogul, television king, and the former Mr Nasty of talent shows, is officially a 'star' in his own right.

Simon received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday and was obviously chuffed with the whole thing.

Simon basked in the spotlight as he reflected on his career, which spans three decades, and his time  as a reality show judge, record producer and creator of long-running franchises "The X Factor," "America's Got Talent" and "Britain's Got Talent".

"If anyone says fame is a bad thing, I don't know what you're talking about. It's the best thing in the world,'' the 58-year-old said

Simon shot to mainstream fame in 2001 when he became a judge on one of the pioneering talent shows, Pop Idol, which gave Will Young and Gareth Gates their big breaks and gave birth to the shows we know and love like American Idol, The X Factor and Britain/America's Got Talent.

He started his speech off with a typical Simon joke, ''why did this take so long? I’m kidding''

He went on to explain how he was a huge fan of America TV and movies growing up

''It is so surreal I cannot tell you. Lauren, you’ve been my rock for the past few years. Put up with everything I put up with, '' he addressed his girlfriend of five years and mother of his four-year-old son, Eric.

''I was also thinking about today was who would have got a bigger kick out of this? My mom and dad. And they’re not here, but I have a feeling are looking down.''

His many protegees have been coming out with kind words as he accepts this honour.

He was accompanied by Kelly Clarkson, the first winner of American Idol.

She gushed about his talent for spotting authentic people with real talent.

"He appreciates you being yourself, and that's very rare. In this industry I think people just want you to fit in to something," the Grammy-winning singer said.

He was joined at the unveiling by "America's Got Talent" judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B, British "X Factor" winner Leona Lewis and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson.

Congrats Si, you've earned it!

The summer is speeding along, and it is almost X Factor season!

So, get ready for all the feels, the laughs, and all that Simon sass.

What do we know about the new season?

After months of rumours, we have verbal confirmation on who the judges will be this year.

Simon is returning for sure. He is Simon Cowell after all. X Factor would not be the same without his low-cut, V-necks.

Louis Walsh announced last month that he will be leaving the show permanently, and apparently, Simon could not be happier!

According to a source at The Sun, Simon was looking to replace Louis Walsh anyway. He was seeking some ‘new blood’ for the panel this year.

And it looks like he found it!

One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson, will be joining the panel along with singer Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field. They have signed contracts to become judges this season for the hit singing competition.

Robbie has previous touring commitments, so Sharon Osbourne will be back as well, only occasionally filling in on the live shows.

Louis Tomlinson warned everybody that he will still be focusing on his music despite his commitment as judge.

As to when the new season starts, no official announcements have been made yet.

Nicole Scherzinger, a judge during the last season, said that we probably won’t know until the end of summer. She told the The Sunday Mirror, "Simon is so f****** last minute, we know in the same month that he announces it."

Last year, the show aired on September 2nd, so we can guess that it will be a similar date this time around.

We do know that auditions for the show start tomorrow! So, stay tuned for more X Factor updates. We can’t wait for the new season!

Last night's X Factor saw Simon Cowell take the hot seat as the groups battled it out for a spot at judges' houses.

Spaces began to fill up fast, and by the time Wicklow brothers, Seán and Conor Price took to the stage, all six seats had been taken.

And it looks like the added pressure may have impacted the sibling's nerves as their first song, an original called Something in the Way, failed to impress the music mogul.

Within seconds, Simon waved a hand in the air signalling for the performance to stop, before asking the boys if they had another song prepared.

"Guys, I'm going to be honest with you. After that, I'm not sure if I'm going to give you a chair. So I need to hear another song. What's your backup?," he said.

Determined not to let set-back stop them from landing the seat they so desperately wanted, Seán and Conor stepped up to the plate with a stellar performance of another original track, Time.

After winning over all four judges, as well as an audience of thousands, Simon offered the duo a seat, though he did note that the lads would need to work on their nerves if they were going to progress further in the competition.

"Guys, what's clear is that in the small rooms you were much more comfortable. I think it's very difficult for people your age to be on a stage this big because you're showing your nerves.

"So I have to make a decision whether I think this is right for you or too much for you."

"Okay, I've made a decision. You are going to take the seat."

So, it's onwards and upwards for the Blessington brothers, and we can't wait to follow their journey all the way to the top.

After finding fame as a contestant on The X Factor, it looks like Olly Murs has swapped allegiances by joining rival talent show, The Voice.

Rumours about the singer's involvement with the show began circulating late last week, and today, producers finally confirmed that Olly has been recruited as a judge for the 2018 series.

Replacing Gavin Rossdale, the singer will take his place in the famous red chair alongside an all-star panel comprising of will.i.am, Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson.

Murs said: “I’m absolutely buzzing about being a coach on The Voice UK and can’t wait to sit in the big red chair alongside will, Jennifer and Tom.

“I’m excited to mentor new artists and without doubt I’m in it to win!”

Speaking about the new addition, will.i.am said: “I’m excited to sit alongside Jennifer and Tom again this year, and I know that Olly will add a fun new twist to this year’s coaches’ team.”

However, not everyone is thrilled about Olly's latest career move.

X Factor boss, Simon Cowell, is said to be less than impressed that the star has taken a position on the rival show – especially after he left the X Factor in 2015 claiming he wanted to focus on his music.

The new series of The Voice UK will air on ITV early next year.

The entertainment industry in Britain was left stunned earlier this summer when one of half of TV's most wholesome duo announced he would be seeking professional help for addiction issues.

Ant McPartlin, whose career has spanned more than two decades, revealed that he would be entering rehab after accepting he had an issue with alcohol and drugs.

"The first step is to admit to yourself you need help," he said in June, as news broke that he would be taking time out of the spotlight.

"I have spoken out because I think it is important that people ask for help if they are going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery," he added.

Having worked closely with Ant and Dec over the last 15 years on both Pop Idol and Britain's Got Talent, it's no surprise that Simon Cowell was asked his opinion on the presenter's recent decision to enter rehab.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: "I don’t know details behind the scenes, but when someone has the courage to own it, deal with it, made a public statement, we would a million per cent support him. I think he’ll be fine."

"I’ve worked with him for 16 years. All I can tell you about Ant is he’s one of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet," he continued. "He hasn’t changed in all the years I’ve known him."

Acknowledging the toll the industry can take on people, Simon added: "I have worked in entertainment for a long long time and I’ve seen what happens with pressure. I’m not making excuses here."

Looking to the future, Simon seemed confident that Ant would make a full recovery and make a return to television.

"He’s got great people around him and also he’s got a great family around him. Dec’s his best friend," he continued. "We made it clear we would always stand by them."

TV insiders believe Ant should be back on our screens by November.
