Every since June began, we've been waiting in the shadows for the explosion of rainbows and glitter during Pride Month.

Mainly, we've been anticipating PrettyLittleThing's brand new Pride campaign, which pays homage to the LGBTQ+ community with a gorgeous line of clothes.

They're hoping to fly all colours of the rainbow this year, representing equality, love and acceptance through some epic threads.

The latest PrettyLittleThing campaign collaborates with some badass babes in fashion and social media: Jade Laurice, Mitchell, Julia Ofelia, Gothy, Alexander Ko, Leslie Sidora & Chloe Scantlebury.

The online retailer has gathered the ultimate gang of pride advocates, who each have their own #MyPride story to tell. Despite their race, sexuality and gender, they're loud and proud and we love them for it.

100 percent of the profits of the stylish campaign is going towards various registered Pride charities across the UK, which makes buying every gorgeous item of clothing even better.

Some of the PLT Pride advocates have opened up about why Pride is so special to them, from self-love and positivity to making bold political statements.

Down-to-earth make-up artist Mitch has a sunny personality that glows as bright as the glamour he creates;

“No matter where you come from, what you are, what you identify as, what you look like, we can all share the same love. For me, that’s what Pride is all about.”

Jade Laurice infuses style with substance, as an influencer and all-round badass babe. Her goal is to smash expectations of queer women and challenge your misconceptions;

“Pride is important to me because it is an event where my visibility and equality as a queer woman is prioritised and celebrated.

"Pride makes me feel empowered as an individual but also gives the LGBTQ community a platform where we can help the next generation.” YAS kween.

Julia Ofelia is a vibrant pansexual babe, with a Scorpio sting and zero time for intolerance in our heteronormative society;

“Pride reminds me that there is a huge community of beautiful and diverse people who do accept me for who I am.”

UK-based drag queen Gothy Kendoll from #hausofkendall spins serious tunes as a DJ and serves serious looks on his Instagram too, so the level of fierce is always sky-high.

Rumour has it the queen is appearing on the UK series of Drag Race, and we desperately hope the gossip is true. We'd love to see Gothy working the runway and winning lip sync battles.

“Working throughout the year within the gay community, I recognise that pride season is a time when we can truly celebrate who we are and how far we’ve come in recent years.”

The Pride collection is live as of this week on the PrettyLittleThing website, so wear your rainbow colours and don't let anyone hold you back.

Stand proud to support the LGBTQ+ community, and refuse to hide your pride. Equality is the greatest look of all.

Pride month is one of the greatest, and most colourful times of the year: Fashion needs to follow suit.

The entire month represents the LGBTQ+ communities around the world showing strength and defiance in the face of hate and discrimination, and with their strength comes rainbow flags, glitter and a welcoming atmosphere.

Online retailers boohoo and boohooMAN have created an exclusive collection just in time for Pride, which launched globally this week.

'Love Without Limits' is all about empowering and celebrating the queer community by offering designs which appeal to people from all walks of life, no matter who they love.

A wide range of trend-led designs were inspired by the idea of unity and standing together. Loving one another ultimately makes a more accepting world, and slogan prints embody this messaging this year,

T-shirts with the words; 'Validity’, ‘Unity’, ‘Proud To Be’ and most importantly ‘Love Without Limits’ are all available for those inside and outside the queer community.

The range features over 100 pieces spanning hats, jewellery, shoes and other accessories, as well as colour-pop clothing and slogan t-shirts.

There are some gorgeous tie-dye outfits, festival tops, block colours and cropped clothing pieces for you to enjoy, with stripes being incorporated to reflect the inclusion of the colours within the new Pride flag.

There are pieces for those who want to make a bold statement, but also more subtle styles. We absolutely adore these unisex multi-coloured denim jackets:

You may have noticed that the male model in the incredible campaign is Shae Pulver, a rising star influencer who is part of the LGBTQ+ community.

CEO of boohooMAN, Samir Kamani, commented on the launch of their Pride collection:

“Both boohoo and boohooMAN are proud to come together again to create their third Pride collection. We believe as a brand that diversity and inclusion are to be celebrated and what better time to celebrate self-love than during Pride."

The products are available in sizes XS – XXL and ranges from €5 – €45 and 10 percent of all profits will be divided between OutRight Action International and the LGBT Foundation.

OutRight Action International fight to protect and advance the dignity and human rights of LGBTQ+ people around the world.

Founded in 1990, OutRight strengthen queer communities through trainings and grants, holds governments accountable and prove through data that discrimination has very real consequences.

LGBT Foundation is a national charity which offers advice, support and important information services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities. Both charities are working to secure a safe, healthy and equal future for all LGBTQ+ people.

Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt has hit back at Ellen Page after the actress called him out for attending an alleged "infamous anti-LGBTQ" church.

The Juno star criticised Pratt on February 8 after his appearance on The Stephen Colbert Show, questioning why he didn't address Hillsong's 'infamous' views.

She later elaborated on her frustration, writing on Twitter;

“If you are a famous actor and you belong to an organisation that hates a certain group of people, don’t be surprised if someone simply wonders why it’s not addressed. Being anti LGBTQ is wrong, there aren’t two sides. The damage it causes is severe. Full stop."

She continued her emotional statement;

“If LGBTQ+ people are expressing their pain, their trauma, their experiences… maybe just try and listen? Open your heart, stop being defensive and have compassion. It’s a beautiful and life changing feeling, empathy.”

The 31-year-old is married to Emma Portner since last January, and made an impassioned speech on The Stephen Colbert Show accusing Donald Trump and Mike Pence of continued dangerous discrimination against the LGBT+ community.

“I am fired up tonight, it feels impossible not to feel this way right now, with the president and Vice President Mike Pence, who wishes I couldn’t be married. Let’s just be clear. The Vice President of America wishes I didn’t have the love with my wife.”

Now Chris Pratt has responded to her claims about Hillsong, a celebrity-infused church in Los Angeles which has faced controversy over it's views.

Pastor Carl Lentz, who leads its New York branch, in 2015 said that he believes homosexuality is a sin and that a gay member of the church could never hold a leadership position. He claims that the church opens its doors, but doesn't encourage the 'gay lifestyle'.

Pratt took to Instagram writing: “It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which ‘hates a certain group of people’ and is "infamously anti-LGBTQ." Nothing could be further from the truth."

He continued; “I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone.” He elaborated on how the Hillsong community helped him through his divorce with actor Anna Faris.

“Despite what the Bible says about divorce my church community was there for me every step of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk,” Pratt said.

“They helped me tremendously offering love and support. It is what I have seen them do for others on countless occasions regardless of sexual orientation, race or gender.”

We'll have to wait and see if Ellen Page answers his statement.

There are now more Irish people identifying as gay than ever before, a new study has shown.

The survey, carried out by Dublin innovation studio Connector found that while 70% of participants identified as "completely heterosexual", 23% of people defined her sexual orientation as neither completely gay or straight, where 7% identified as gay.

This is quite high in contrast to the UK and Australia where the number of people who identify as gay are estimated to be between 1.5% and 3.5%.

While this is great news in terms of LGBTQ people being more accepted in Irish society, the survey also found that about a fifth of participants were largely unaware of "alternative" sexualities. Of those surveyed, 40% could not define terms such as asexual, pansexual and cisgender, while 25% had never even heard the terms mentioned before.

However, 22% of people reported that they are more accepting of people of non-traditional gender identity than they were a year ago with 12% of people knowing someone who uses non-binary pronouns.

When asked how open Irish society is to trans people, 40% said that the general Irish public would be uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with a trans person. Conversely, only 16% admitted that they would react negatively to a trans person using their bathroom.

18% for people don’t consider it important for public spaces to have gender-neutral access, and do not believe that they are becoming more accepting of non-traditional gender identities. Most interestingly, age is actually a postivive factor in acceptable of alternative gender identities; 28% of all 14-17-year-olds don't accept gender neutral pronouns, compared to 6% of all 45-54-year-olds and 12% of those who are 54 years or older.

According to Connector, this gap suggests that people become more accepting as they get older and experience different situations and perspectives.

The research showed that heterosexual people were more likely to be aware of alternative sexualities and more accepting of non-traditional gender identities if they have family or friends who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Commenting on the research, Ivan Adriel, Innovation & Strategy Director at Connector said: “Connector is a proud supporter of the LGBT community and we believe that creative innovators need to create work that reflects the society and push boundaries of the acceptance. Advertising is one of the strongest forces to challenge perceptions and we want this research to be an eye opener for marketers to become more inclusive”.

While we've come on a long way as a nation, we still have a lot further to go.

It's not just us humans that are showing our support for LGBTQ Pride this month, oh no sir. These gorgeous dogs got in on the action and we can all agree that pooches decked out in rainbow attire are the cutest things ever. #PrideMonthPuppo

The Twitter trend was kick-started by WeRateDogs, and they've been showing snaps of the cutest four-legged creatures dressed up in all the colours of the rainbow. And we couldn't be happier. Supporting LGBTQ rights? Cute dogs in capes? Done.

The account, which was founded by Matt Nelson in 2015, was set up to rate other people's pooches. However, he asked his 6.8million followers to send in pictures of their Pride-supporting hounds for WeRateDogs to rate and repost.

Anything that brings positive attention and support for a cause like LGBTQ rights is a winner in our book. Plus it doesn't hurt that these doggos are absolutely gorgeous to look at.

Twitter users quickly responded with images of their dogs rocking rainbow caps, wings, ties, bandanas and capes. One tweeted, ''Again? Seriously? We only rate dogs. Please don’t send in any downright magnificent butterflies,'' while another posted their dog Bacon draped in rainbow wings and tassels.

Love Island fans could soon be treated to two instalments of the series per year after the show's bosses confirmed they are looking into the possibility of creator an LGBTQ+ version.

The news comes after the reality show scooped the award for Best Reality and Constructed Factual at last night's BAFTA ceremony.

Speaking at a press conference after the win, producers Richard Cowels and Sarah Tyekiff said they were open to the idea of creating a separate LGBTQ+ series.

"We've had bisexual people in the show – for a dating show, you need everyone to fancy everyone, so if you have gay and heterosexual in the same place, they're not going to fancy each other," Cowels said.

"We'd have to dedicated show… Absolutely we'd consider two series a year."

When asked if fans can expects any twists in upcoming series, he replied: "We've always got things up our sleeves, but the show is written as it goes along.

"So everyone is reacting to what's happening on and then the format is being written as it happens… Whatever we have planned, (they) get ripped up pretty much every hour as the cast goes in.

"Everything we predicted hasn't happened and whatever is happening is more exciting than we predicted. We just go for it."

Love Island is set to return next month for a total of eight weeks, making it the longest series to date.

Love Island was one of the most-watched shows of 2017.

You simply couldn't move on Twitter without seeing some reference to the holiday romance TV phenomenon.

In case you missed out, the premise of the show sees a number of singleons pairing off to take home the Love Island crown and a cool  £50,000 prize money.

While many people delighted in the various adventures and dramas of the show participants, others felt that it could do with a little more diversity.

ITV2 faced criticism for not having gay or lesbian couples on the show, after previously saying that it could not work due to the show 'format.'

'The format doesn’t really allow it,' ITV's Head of Digital Channels Paul Mortimer said in a previous statement.

A post shared by Love Island (@loveisland) on

'If you’re familiar with the programme, it’s about coupling and recoupling.'

'To complicate it with same-sex relationships is to take something away from the format.'

However, a source told The Star that an LGBTQ version of the show could be in the works.

A post shared by Love Island (@loveisland) on

'Love Island is supposed to be a reflection of pop culture and shows modern dating,' said the source.

'Young people are becoming more and more fluid in their sexuality and gender identity, so the channel have realised they can't alienate that audience, either.'

We may just have to wait and see what the new series of the show brings us.

India's highest court has pledged to re-visit its earlier decision to uphold Section 377, a colonial-era law that makes homosexuality punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

It comes after a petition filed by five people called on the legislators to reconsider their decision.

India's chief justice Dipak Misra and three other judges say a larger group of judges is now expected to take part in the discussions this time around.

"We think it appropriate to send this issue to a larger bench. What is natural to one may not be natural to others," the judges said.

Gay rights activists remain hopeful that the court will decriminalise acts of homosexuality.

While the Hindu nationalist party-led government are said to be in no hurry to change the law, it's understood that the question will be put to a larger bench for examination before October 2018.

Less than 200 Indians are convicted under Section 377 each year, but activists claim that the law is often used to intimidate members of the LGBTQ community.

The news has been welcomed to by activists across the globe with  Anand Grover, a lawyer representing the five petitioners, telling Reuters, "It is a big relief and a primary step taken by the Supreme Court to review its earlier order."

A 10-year-old boy in the US is making headlines after setting up the first ever drag club specifically for children.

Desmond Napoles, a self-professed 'drag kid' from New York, says he wants to create a “positive and safe place” for kids who wish to express themselves through the art of drag and hopes to spread the message that it's OK to “just be yourself.”

According to The Independent, Desmond realised he was gay at a very young age.

As a toddler, he would wrap long towels around his head and strut around the house in high heels belonging to his mother Wendylou.

Speaking to Out, Wendylou explained how her son's obsession with feminine clothing led her to believe he may have been transgender.

“When we was younger, we thought that maybe he was trans because of his strong preference for girls’ toys and wearing girls’ clothes,” she said.

Desmond has made quite a name for himself in the LGBTQ community, and has become somewhat of an icon ever since he wowed the crowds in a flamboyant rainbow dress at the NYC Pride Parade in 2015.

Now with over 15,000 Instagram followers, his work is inspiring people all over the world.

“We get messages from people, like in Colombia, saying, ‘We’re not allowed to be outwardly [in] drag or gay and it means a lot to see somebody that is’,” Wendylou told Out

Determined to put his growing social media presence to good use, Desmond created 'Haus of Amazing' – a safe haven for the LGBTQ kids of New York city.

“People should be able to be free and let themselves express how they want, whenever they want,” he said.

“Let them be [his or herself], and if you don’t like how people are, you don’t like yourself.”

The club has received a hugely positive response online with many Instagram users showing their support for the cause.

“Keep it going darling. You are truly amazing,” wrote one follower.

While another said: “Just discovered you recently but already so proud of you and i can't wait to see what's in store for you in the future xo.”

It's only been two years since Ireland legalised same sex marriage, and now Germany is following suit.

The German parliament has just voted in favour of same-sex marriage.

Same sex couples have availed of civil partnerships since 2001, but up until now have not been granted marriage.

A post shared by Laurelle S (@grandpasox) on

The reform grants full marital rights to gay and lesbian couples.

This is including child adoption.

Scenes of joy have followed the announcement, as German LGBTQ community members have taken to Twitter to express their happiness.

However, German Chancellor Angela Merkel did not support the reform.

'For me, marriage in German law is marriage between a man and a woman and that is why I did not vote in favour of this bill today,' she said.

'I hope that the vote today not only promotes respect between different opinions but also brings more social cohesion and peace.'
