Chris Hemsworth has opened up about the mental health difficulties he faced after his career stalled following his appearance in Star Trek.

The actor is a massive Hollywood movie star currently, alongside fellow Chris's Pratt and Pine.

Hemsworth became a household name (along with his brother, Liam) after scoring the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing the God of Thunder in nine blockbusters.

The news that Taika Waititi will return as the director of Thor 4 guarantees Chris' return to the role, and it's also confirmed that he will feature in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

In summary, he's got no shortage of gig offers. He even competed against himself when Avengers: Endgame and Men In Black: International were released in cinemas at the same time.

However, there was a time before he gripped hold of the hammer when the Australian actor was struggling for work. He had a small role in JJ Abrams' Star Trek, which began as a trilogy.

Hemsworth played Captain Kirk's father in the opening sequence, but things slowed down after playing George Kirk in the reboot.

He explained; "I got a job pretty quick when I got to Hollywood, so I was very fortunate in that sense. Then I didn’t work for a while and I started to think it might not work out."

Breaking into the acting scene is notoriously difficult and once you have any tiny portion of success, it's even harder to sustain it.

Despite having a role in a huge franchise, he had a hard time working after Star Trek failed. Hemsworth later suffered from deep anxiety during this process, as he emphasised to Heat.

"I had a huge amount of anxiety when I was auditioning, and that just got worse and worse the more I heard the word ‘no’," Chris said, of the disappointments.

"I did a lot of soul searching on a number of occasions, where I asked myself: ‘Why am I doing this? What’s my motivation to put myself through this?'"

If someone as great as Chris Hemsworth can have self-doubt, it can happen to anyone. He put spirited performances into his myriad MCU appearances, as well as his role in Bad Times at the El Royale.

Kevin's Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is the actor's next project, with Chris recently explaining that he wants to take a break from acting in Hollywood to spend time with his family.

Time will tell what comes next for the God of Thunder, but Thor 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will keep our Chris pulses alive.

Well, the rumour mill has been turning about this relationship ever since A Star is Born was released, and now it's finally confirmed: Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper have gone their separate ways.

The supermodel and A-list Hollywood actor have called it quits after over four years together, according to People.

The pair welcomed their first child together back in March of 2017, a little girl named Lea de Seine Shayk Cooper. They started dating in 2015, and have been rocked with break-up rumours for months.

The former couple were spotted attending a Broadway show together four years ago, and paparazzi caught them getting handsy in public later on.

By September, the stars had exchanged 'I love you's and were meeting the other person's families. At the time, an insider revealed: "They both want kids one day and that's been discussed between them."

Bradley and Irina walked their first red carpet as a couple in 2016, and made their romance Instagram official.

Only months later, the 33-year-old Russian model debuted her baby bump on the runway of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

After their baby girl was born, Bradley and Irina grew closer and embraced parenthood as they split their time between London, New York and Los Angeles.

In a recent interview with NPR, the 44-year-old spoke out about being a dad:

"I guess having a child, and having a family of my own—which is a miracle and something I've always dreamt of—has opened me up even more, I guess, to the day, and to be present," the actor explained.

The famous duo have faced weeks of reports about their relationship after Bradley and Lady Gaga's intimate Oscars performance of Shallow.

Gaga herself had to slam the speculation during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. Speaking about their chemistry, the singer said;  "I'm an artist, and I guess Bradley and I did a good job. And, fooled you."

A source told E! News that the break-up has been coming for a while;

"They've spent time apart to test the waters and see if they are better off. They have a lot invested and it's very difficult to completely walk away from. They are trying out different arrangements and trying to find their way.

"They love their little girl dearly and that's not going to change no matter what."

Zoe Saldana has revealed snippets of her personal life, specifically how she raises her three sons with husband Marco Perego Saldana.

The Avengers actress, who plays Gamora in Guardians Of The Galaxy, shares four-year-old twins Cy and Bowie with Marco, as well as two-year-old Zen.

She opened up about how she raises her little boys, revealing that she was attempting to keep her household a "gender-neutal environment" with male and female inspirations involved in their lives.

"I’m always gonna be honest and that is always the best way to welcome healthy and truthful discourse, especially around parenthood," the actress told Us Weekly this week.

"The twins made a comment two weeks ago like, “Boys are stronger than girls,” because they’re in that stage of comparisons. And you have to take a moment and kind of put together an answer that they will understand," she continued.

She wants her boys to be a "blank slate", rather than being influenced by gender stereotypes before choosing their own identities.

Her aim is, "To not bring all this charge that you have as an adult and as a woman into their lives." She opened up last June about allowing her sons to pick their own method of doing things, with Zoe leading by example with her partner.

"We have a very gender-neutral environment where my husband participates in a lot of tasks that were normally given to women and vice versa," she previously told Us Weekly. "I get to do a lot of male things, which is, I don’t know, put the TV together, fix things that break," she said.

"We’re sort of a very gender-fluid household. I think it’s important to raise boys in that environment, and girls as well," the 40-year-old mused.

Zoe has often done things in an unconventional way, shunning 'tradition', such as her husband Marco taking her surname when they wed in 2013.

Saying he liked the name, Zoe recently added:

"He wanted to really represent being a part of my family and represent my father’s legacy. He respected the fact that he didn’t want me to have to give up my name just because that’s the norm."

Saldana was interviewed by People in 2018 and touched upon the idea of gender and parenting;

“When you look at parenting, the whole thing about matriarchy and patriarchy, and Daddy’s little girl and Mama’s boys ― my husband and I find that completely ludicrous and absolutely unhealthy for the upbringing of a child."

“You’re giving them a very distorted and limited view on what a female role is supposed to be in a family and what a male role is supposed to be."

Guardians of the Galaxy actor Chris Pratt has hit back at Ellen Page after the actress called him out for attending an alleged "infamous anti-LGBTQ" church.

The Juno star criticised Pratt on February 8 after his appearance on The Stephen Colbert Show, questioning why he didn't address Hillsong's 'infamous' views.

She later elaborated on her frustration, writing on Twitter;

“If you are a famous actor and you belong to an organisation that hates a certain group of people, don’t be surprised if someone simply wonders why it’s not addressed. Being anti LGBTQ is wrong, there aren’t two sides. The damage it causes is severe. Full stop."

She continued her emotional statement;

“If LGBTQ+ people are expressing their pain, their trauma, their experiences… maybe just try and listen? Open your heart, stop being defensive and have compassion. It’s a beautiful and life changing feeling, empathy.”

The 31-year-old is married to Emma Portner since last January, and made an impassioned speech on The Stephen Colbert Show accusing Donald Trump and Mike Pence of continued dangerous discrimination against the LGBT+ community.

“I am fired up tonight, it feels impossible not to feel this way right now, with the president and Vice President Mike Pence, who wishes I couldn’t be married. Let’s just be clear. The Vice President of America wishes I didn’t have the love with my wife.”

Now Chris Pratt has responded to her claims about Hillsong, a celebrity-infused church in Los Angeles which has faced controversy over it's views.

Pastor Carl Lentz, who leads its New York branch, in 2015 said that he believes homosexuality is a sin and that a gay member of the church could never hold a leadership position. He claims that the church opens its doors, but doesn't encourage the 'gay lifestyle'.

Pratt took to Instagram writing: “It has recently been suggested that I belong to a church which ‘hates a certain group of people’ and is "infamously anti-LGBTQ." Nothing could be further from the truth."

He continued; “I go to a church that opens their doors to absolutely everyone.” He elaborated on how the Hillsong community helped him through his divorce with actor Anna Faris.

“Despite what the Bible says about divorce my church community was there for me every step of the way, never judging, just gracefully accompanying me on my walk,” Pratt said.

“They helped me tremendously offering love and support. It is what I have seen them do for others on countless occasions regardless of sexual orientation, race or gender.”

We'll have to wait and see if Ellen Page answers his statement.

Ellen Page is known for being an absolutely unreal actress, and all-round lesbian ledgebag.

Literally, she's queen of the gays. Did you SEE her speech on the Stephen Colbert US chat show about Vice-President Mike Pence's homophobia? We had chillz. They're multiplying.

The Juno actress has now called on Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt to address his church Hillsong’s attitude towards LGBTQ people.

The newly engaged Chris Pratt spoke about his ‘spiritual side’ on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, ironically the show that Ellen made her badass speech on, and she had some words to say about it.

The 39-year old Jurassic World actor is admittedly very religious and identifies as a non-denominational Christian, attending services at the Zoe Church and Hillsong, also attended by Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin.

Replying to Pratt's comments, Ellen wrote to Twitter; "Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously anti-LGBT+ so maybe address that too?"

Page has just celebrated her one-year-anniversary with her wife Emma Portner last month, and famously speaks out against homophobic attacks like the recent horrible incident involving Empire actor Jussie Smollett.

In 2015 Brian Houston, leader of Hillsong, has said that while gay people are welcome to worship there, and that he loves all people, Hillsong doesn’t ‘affirm’ the gay ‘lifestyle’. Whatever the heck that means.

"Hillsong Church welcomes ALL people but does not affirm all lifestyles. Put clearly, we do not affirm a gay lifestyle and because of this we do not knowingly have actively gay people in positions of leadership, either paid or unpaid."

"Can you take an active leadership role? No. ‘This won’t make everyone happy and to some, this stance may even be seen as hypocritical. We are a gay welcoming church but we are not a church that affirms a gay lifestyle." Alright then…

Famous pastor of Justin Bieber, Carl Lentz, said he admits he doesn’t know what Jesus would think about homosexuality, saying:

"Jesus was in the thick of an era where homosexuality, just like it is today, was widely prevalent. And I’m still waiting for someone to show me the quote where Jesus addressed it on the record in front of people. You won’t find it because he never did."

Pratt spoke on the show about how his church helps him to deal with fame, and has yet to respond to Ellen's tweet.

As movie stars go, Chris Pratt definitely seems like he's got his head screwed on somewhat.

He's openly spoken before about how tough he had it financially in his early days as a struggling actor, admitting that he lived out of a van in Hawaii before getting his first movie role.

And even now, with two big movie franchises on the go – Jurassic Park and Guardians of The Galaxy – Chris seems determined not to get too complacent.

Posting after a long day of shooting on two separate films at Atlanta's Pinewood Studios, the father-of-one made it clear he wasn't taking his good luck for granted.

"Fifteen years ago I felt the same passion I feel today, but I had very little opportunity," he wrote.

"I had to hustle hard and go hungry. I had to eat sardines and figure out how to get gas money.

"And I never had a plan B. I never stopped believing. Ever. Don't give up. Apply constant pressure for as long as it takes.."

And even after 21 hours on the go, Chris still had some fun, throwing out random figures about the length of time he'd been awake for.

"It's 3:20am. I got picked up for work at 6:45am yesterday. I'm not good with math, especially after being up for approximately 61 hours but I think I've been up for over 77 hours," he joked.

"I did a table read for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this morning and then shot all day on Passengers and just now wrapped some 144 hours later."

We're not sure we'd be quite so chirpy after 21 hours of working two jobs back to back…

He normally plays tough guys on the big screen, but it’s obvious that this Hollywood star has a huge heart.

Vin Diesel welcomed his third child to the world with a cute snap of the newborn on Facebook and the lyrics to Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.

The 47-year-old Fast and the Furious star already has two children with partner Paloma Jimenez – six-year-old Hania and four-year-old Vincent.

The name and gender of the couple’s newest arrival haven’t been announced yet.

Vin is very obviously very serious when it comes to his family, recently cancelling the Abu Dhabi premiere of Furious 7 so he would be around when Paloma went into labour.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Chris Pratt may be a big name in Hollywood these days, but things weren’t always quite so rosy for him, as he reminded his fans recently.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star posted a touching picture to his Facebook account, looking back at what life was like for him living in Hawaii before he shot to fame.

"Can't believe I found this picture," Chris captioned the image. "This is the van I used to live in!!!"

In the picture, Chris stands next to a white van with a Scooby-Doo mural painted on the side. The actor added that the paper he is holding is “the script for the movie that got me out of Maui.”

Chris lived in Hawaii after dropping out of college aged 17.

Although things can’t have been easy for him back then, in a recent interview he described those years as “a charming time,” adding that Hawaii is “a pretty awesome place to be homeless.” That’s definitely a positive way to look at it, Chris – we're not sure we’d be quite so optimistic ourselves!

The star was discovered by actor/director Rae Dawn Chong in 2000 while working at a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant in Maui. He had his first big role in a short film called Cursed Part 3.

“Originally the dream was to pay my bills doing nothing other than acting," Chris said in the interview. "I got there, but the dream is constantly evolving.”
