Reality TV star Lauren Goodger has come under fire from fans after she took to Instagram with what some are calling an anti-feminist post.

The former TOWIE star, who has 580,000 followers on the social media app, posted this quote:

However, the quote itself was not what sparked unrest among her followers. Instead it was how Lauren chose to caption the image that ruffled some feathers.

The 29-year old, who is currently dating Jake McLean captioned the image:

“I always will want the best for my man. I don’t believe in all the new generation..if your hungry I will feed you, if you’re cold I will get you a blanket, if you’re back hurts I will massage you and run you’re bubble bath…”

She continued by adding that she doesn’t believe in anything “but making my man feel loved and secure.” Lauren also admitted that she doesn’t mind cleaning up after her boyfriend either.

“If you leave your clothes on the floor I will pick them up and tidy the house,” she wrote and added that she doesn’t mind tucking Jake into bed at night either.

“When you go to sleep I will bring you a glass of milk and say you’re beautiful…”

The response from social media users not exactly in support of some of Lauren’s statements:

“Ultimate cringe. There’s caring then there’s utter submission. Let men be men and don’t try so hard,” one user wrote.

Another added: “You’re in for a shock if you think this is possible when you’ve got kids plus why would your man want you to act like his mother too.”

“It’s like feminism never happened,” added more users.

Lauren had also received criticism from fans earlier this week when she posted a video of herself singing along to a Pia Mia song in the car.

However, some fans were quick to jump her defence: “Get a grip and stop slating the poor girl, jealousy will get you nowhere in life, if you don't like her don't follow her simple as that.”

Uh-oh. Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson has become the latest celeb to commit a Halloween fashion faux pas.

The actress has sparked outrage on Instagram after she revealed her idea for a Halloween costume on Instagram.

Her potential costume was inspired by Cecil the lion. She originally captioned a snap of her wearing the costume with:

“Help! Can’t decide on my Halloween costume this year! What do you guys think of this cecil the lion costume? @yandy #thanksyandy #halloweencostume.”

The 25-year old’s fans however were not impressed with her choice however. The caption for image has changed since she originally posted the snap to now read “What do you guys think of this lion costume?”

Social media users were quick to blast the actress for “ignorant” choice of words and costume ideas.

"How dare you make fun of a lion who innocently died from a inhuman act!" wrote on Instagram user. Another added,

Cecil the lion was a 13-year old lion who was killed by an American dentist earlier this year. One witty Gawker user had this to say:

Yandy, the website where Ashely said her costume was from does have an official ‘Cecil the Lion’ costume.

Ashley’s costume was actually the ‘Deluxe Lion Costume’ from the site, which is slightly different.

E! News reports Yandy as saying that 20 percent of the proceeds of the limited edition costume will be donated to a global conservation organization.

With a price tag of €106 that means more than €20 will be donated for each purchase.

While the summer season can see a lot of ladies heading for lighter hues, there are no rules that say you can't go lighter for winter.

Balayage, which in French means "to sweep," is a highlighting technique that hair colourists use to freehand paint on the hair colour to make it look more natural. So, if you want to change your hair colour with some subtle lights that grow out seamlessly, then balayage is the way to go.

Or perhaps you're feeling more adventurous? Have no fear, because  a quick scroll through Instagram was all it took for us to find some serious hair inspiration. We put together a few of our favourites, it was tough to narrow it down to be honest.

This is the kind of balayage we dream about:

Even darker locks can try the trend:

Length is not a obstacle:

Purple? Grey? Blonde? Whatever the colour it looks flawless:

That grey hair trend doesn't seem to be going away:

A rosé ombré perhaps?

OK, this one is extreme but we kind of love it:

She's one-fifth of the always beautiful The Saturdays – and probably one of the biggest hotties that Thurles has ever produced.

And while being rich and famous definitely boosts what nature already gave you (oh, and the gorgeous rugby star husband probably helps too) – it's now evident that Una Foden has always been a total stunner.

Indeed, sharing a throwback snap from her Debs on her Instagram account, the 33-year-old looks fresh-faced and striking wearing a simple black, satin gown.

With minimal make-up on, she wears her auburn hair down around her shoulders.

The Voice Of Ireland judge attended Presentation Thurles from 1994 until 2000 – the same year her Debs took place. Unsurprisingly, she gained an A in music in both her Junior and Leaving Certs.

It's certainly Debs season at the moment – and the inaugural SHEmazing! Debs survey, released earlier today, shows that some Irish gals are forking out in excess of €1,000 on their Big Night.

Una, of course, has been married to Ben Foden for three-and-a-half years. Together, they have two children: Aoife, three, and Tadhg, six months.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, or how good you look, it just doesn't come across on camera.

And with social media being all about the snaps these days, we want to show the world just how fab we can be.

So next time you know you'll be snapped, follow these five rules in order to look your best.

Wear bright colours

If you want to stand out from the crowd, make sure to be noticed in something that is a bright and clean colour.

If you want to wear a pattern, go for a bold one

Bold, graphic patterns look better on camera than small stripes or tiny micro-prints.

Often, less is more

Simple and elegant looks will come across as more chic and stylish on camera.

Dark clothes sometimes don't look great

If you wear dark clothes, the print or details will get lost once it's photographed.

Sunglasses are lifesavers

Sometimes, if you've gotten little sleep or your make-up didn't turn out too well, sunglasses will be your saviour.

Being Insta-famous and posting a selfie can make you more money than working four days a week, according to this social media model.

So, where can we sign up then?!

Gabrielle Epstein, from the Gold Coast, Austrailia, has nearly 700,000 followers on Instagram and makes her money by carefully placing endorsements in her IG snaps.

When a person gains more than 100,000 followers on the picture-sharing site, companies start to take notice and use these Insta-models to promote their business.

So we have a long way to go then ladies!

"I definitely earn more money from Instagram, 100 per cent, " Gabrielle told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

"About a year and a half ago I was travelling to Brisbane a lot for work and by the time you take out the agency's 20 per cent, GST on commission and then tax, the model is left with little."

Ms Epstein includes clothing, jewellery and cosmetic products in her pictures, which can sometimes reach up to 25,000 likes.

According to the model, companies can pay her hundreds for a single post and thousands for campaigns which run over a number of weeks.

And another model using her Insta-status to gain more money is singer, Cody Simpsons's friend, Ruby Green, 17.

She has just over 165,000 followers and says that Instagram has helped her receive receive gifts from companies who pay her to post about their products.

"Instagram has its perks and has helped me a lot with getting my name out there."

Linsday Lohan has officially confirmed what we have all believed for quite some time now, Mean Girls 2 does not count as a sequel to our beloved Mean Girls

However, it has become clear that the 29-year old is keen for a different sequel to go into development: Mean Moms.

Lindsay posted a screen shot of a conversation she was having with a friend earlier today about the prospect. She captioned the photo: "wow I do feel a bit late on this one haha (next step: #MEANMOMS) I'm trying to make it happen!"

One of the first things we noticed about the Instagram upload was that Lindsay did not remember why today's date was so special. We were shocked, how could she?

However, it did click once her friend sent her a picture of Cady and Aaron and that famous exchange in the film.

It’s been 11 years since Mean Girls was released and the film became a classic of sorts. It’s the film many a 00s girls can recite without prompting. Many would, of course be very excited about a possible sequel. totally stoked by a sequel.

Could it happen?

Jennifer Aniston is set to star in Mean Moms. A film based on a book by Rosalind Wiseman, who also wrote the book on which Mean Girls was based. There’s been no confirmation that Mean Moms is a sequel, but the internet has very strong feelings in favour of that happening.

Maybe Lindsay was hinting at an appearance alongside Jennifer Aniston?  Or is she trying to make another sequel happen?

The host of Project Runway is known not just for being a hugely successful supermodel, but also for her outrageous Halloween costumes.

The 42-year old is getting preparations underway very early this year as she gave her fans a sneak peek at her costume.

It involves, blue goo and very little else.

The model stripped down to almost nothing as bared it all so she could be completely covered in weird blue-grey goo. That is extreme dedication to the cause.

The goo was necessary to produce a body cast of the model, which she posted on her Instagram account.

We can’t imagine we would be too delighted to be covered head-to-toe in the weird looking concoction whatever floats your boat Heidi!

To be fair, she has set a very high standard for costumes in the past and is probably the A-Lister many people look to for some inspiration at this time of year.

Remember her incredible butterfly costume?

There was also the time she aged herself to the point of looking almost unrecognisable.

There was also her 2006 Garden of Eden styled costume.

Two years later she took it to another extreme entirely with her epic Hindu goddess costume.

Just last month, she graced the cover of Cosmopolitan – sporting a seriously sexy look that certainly caused its fair share of controversy.

Not that Demi Lovato is holding back in the aftermath: the singer and actress has just released another glossy cover – and if Cosmo raised eyebrows, Complex is going to cause a storm.

In fact, in the October/November edition, the 23-year-old former child star can be seen topless on an inflatable banana, as well as topless while hugging a giant flamingo.

Oh-la-la-la!

In the accompanying interview, the star also opens up about her boyfriend, That 70s Show's Wilmer Valderrama – one of the only times she's spoken candidly about her long-term love.

"We have been together for almost five years now, off and on," she reveals.

"The only times that we were off was when I was not in a healthy state of mind, or he was like: 'I can’t be with you until you get sober. I can’t enable what you’re doing right now.'"

As for fans hoping that the current Selena Gomez-Demi Lovato truce is more permanent than it has been in the past, Demi says that she and her former BFF don't speak.

Speaking of their relationship, she offered: "When you’re young and you get older, you change and people change.

"You have things in common, and then all of a sudden, you don’t. It’s just a part of life."

Indeed, Demi says that in general her fellow famous folk just don't interest her.

"I don’t really hang out with celebrities. I guess I do sometimes… I’m not the type of person that’s on Instagram posting pictures of me and tons of my best friends," she explains.

"I have my core group, and they’re the type of people that will be there for me in the middle of the night."

This evening, the Cool For The Summer singer shared a snap from the Complex shoot on her Instagram page.

Using the hashtag #CONFIDENT, she said: "I f***ing love my @complex cover shoot… Thanks Complex for the gorgeous pics!!!"

Last month, she also passionately defended her Cosmo cover on Instagram.

She posted a message which read: "What these individuals who are protesting don’t understand is that for the first time in a long time I feel incredibly EMPOWERED and the MOST BEAUTIFUL I’ve ever felt on this magazine."

Some days we don't have time to take 27 different photos just for one perfect shot, so it's wise to have a few hacks to turn to.

Whether you're sick of looking tired and washed out or can't get the lighting right no matter where you stand, there are easy fixes for most selfie problems.

Follow these tried and tested tips, and you'll be taking selfies to beat Kylie and Taylor in no time.

1. Brows on fleek
Okay, well this is a rule for real life too, but it's exceptionally important for your selfies. Well-shaped brows can completely transform your face… and in turn your selfie game. A close-up camera in bright lighting is going to pick up on any flaws, so be sure to tweeze any stray hairs and fill in gaps with a pencil or powder.

2. Define those eyes
If you ever wonder why you look a bit tired in your selfies despite being wide awake, your eye make-up (or lack of it) could be the issue. Scant eye make-up combined with changing lighting can make you look like you're struggling to stay awake, so throw on an extra coat of mascara and brighten up your peepers with some nude-toned liner on your lower waterline.

3. Know your lighting
Brightest isn't always best – natural lighting at dawn or dusk is actually far more flattering than midday sun. If in doubt, face yourself directly into the sun rather than standing in its shadow. If you're inside, get to a window. One foolproof trick is to hold a sheet of white paper under your chin to reflect light upwards, giving you a gorge natural glow.

4. Get your pose down
Know what poses work best for you, be it the smize, the squinch or just a natural smile. But don't be afraid to branch out once in a while. That angry pout probably won't work too well in a selfie with you and your grandma… well, unless she's the one doing the pouting:

5. Choose the right background
Unless your background is something truly beautiful (mountains, beaches, wonders of the world) then keep things simple. A blank wall or some textured wallpaper is a far better backdrop than your messy bedroom. Let your smile do the talking, not your dirty laundry.

While London usually nabs all the best and biggest movie events – a host of stars went north to Edinburgh yesterday for the glitzy, red-carpet premiere of Macbeth.

Unsurprisingly, handsome Irish lads Michael Fassbender and Jack Reynor were suited and booted, looking particularly dapper for the occasion.

However, (and while yes, we're certainly impressed with the film's leading males), it has to be noted that Jack's model fiancee very possibly stole the show.

Donning a dramatic fur and leather collared gown, Madeline Mulqueen, 25, ensured that all eyes were on her as she posed up for the waiting photographers.

Earlier in the day the Limerick-native had taken to Instagram to share a snap of her stunning red-carpet make-up.

Then last night she shared a second adorable picture of her and Jack, 23, gazing at one-another along with the caption: "Couldn't be more proud of this man."

Premiere time!

Meanwhile, speaking to the waiting media, Kerryman Mr Fassbender revealed that he was delighted to be in Scotland: "We were lucky enough to film a bit up here and I was here in 2006 doing a play at the Fringe Festival so I love being back.

"I love the city – its architecture and the really great people," he added.

Earlier in the day, Michael, Jack and the rest of the Macbeth cast – which includes Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth, and The Great Gatsby’s Elizabeth Debicki as Lady Macduff – had stepped out for a photo call at Edinburgh Castle.

Last week, Mr Reynor, who plays Malcolm in the movie, revealed: "I don't have a huge role in this film, but it was great to just be on that set and observe these incredible actors," he said, in particular referring to 38-year-old Mr Fassbender.

"Michael has got great charisma and he's a brilliant actor. We had some great career conversations, and he's certainly full of great advice.

"I'm looking forward to grabbing a pint with him soon."
