Cue to the awwh – the foodie dogs are the cutest things we've ever seen.

The bizarre but dogtastic pictures take some of the best food snaps Instagram has and meshes them with some fabulous pooches.

Some even include some famous pup, from the likes of Bertram The Pomeranian (@bertiebertthepom), Blaine & Bart Danzig (@danzigbros) and Doug the Pug (@itsdougthepug) – FYI, these dogs have better career prospects than we do.

The results are an adorable mind f*ck and it's hard to even pick a favourite.

So, leaving aside those less than fond memories of the local teenage disco, chances are you haven't banged heads with someone you're about to kiss in a long time.

Not that you have to think about it too hard, it just sort of happens that way – you'll go one way, they'll go the other and well, you know the rest.

But as it turns out, there's actually a scientific reason why.

New research has found that people are actually hard-wired to tilt their heads to the right when kissing a romantic partner.

Researchers asked 48 married couples in Bangladesh to kiss privately in their own home and compile an independent report on different aspects of the kiss – and the results were very interesting indeed.

The study revealed that men were about 15 times more likely to initiate a kiss with 79 reporting they had done so.

What's more, two thirds of all participants (both initiators and receivers) subconsciously chose to turn their heads to the right when going in for the kill.

Dr Rezaul Karim, from the department of psychology at the University of Dhaka said:

“This is the first study to show sex differences in the initiation of kissing, with males more likely being the initiator, and also that the kiss initiators’ head-turning direction tends to modulate the headturning direction in the kiss recipients.”

The findings also revealed that the direction the kiss initiator chose strongly predicted that of the recipient, as well as whether the person was right or left handed.

“This further suggests the underlying cognitive mechanisms of the act of kissing and head turning,” the authors said.

“Though this action tends to be performed intuitively, a decision must be made about the direction to which the partners should lean to kiss each other.”

This study was particularly unique given that kissing is censored from film and television in Bangladesh meaning that the results were in no way influenced by cultural factors or copying.

“Prior works could not rule out cultural learning due to having western samples. It turns out, we as humans are similar even if our social values differ,” Dr Michael Proulx, from the department of psychology at the University of Bath added.

Whatever the reason, we're just glad that kissing-head-collisions aren't a thing we have to worry about.

We all love a good puppy cuddle – there’s nothing else quite like it.

As a nation of animal lovers, our four-legged friends are better members of our family, than our siblings. (Sorry, not sorry.)

And if you’re looking to expand the family, or get a pet for the first time – this is why you should think twice before you shop online for them.

Okay, okay – we know how handy online shopping is – browsing for hours in the comfort of our own home, with minimal human contact – paradise.

But according to animal welfare bodies, you should ditch the mouse when it comes to finding the newest member of the household.

The Irish Pet Advertising Advisory Group (IPAAG) is launching a campaign to educate the public about the dangers of buying animals online.

The video below and #PuppyDotCon is being released as part of the campaign, to demonstrate how easy it is to be tricked by bad breeders.

By all means, IPAAG encourages you to give an animal a second chance and adopt them from a reputable animal welfare organisation.

But they do recognise that more people than ever are looking online when they decide to get a pet.

If we really can’t convince you to adopt and not shop – IPAAG has a number of helpful tips so you won’t be fooled.

First off – do your research, keep an eye out for red flags in online advertisements, and be armed with the information required before making any decision.

If that voice in the back of your head is nagging – listen to it, if in doubt, walk away.

According to the animal welfare body, being able to sell puppies online makes it very easy for unscrupulous breeders to conceal the substandard and often dangerous conditions their puppies come from.

Animal welfare organisations regularly hear from individuals and families who purchased a pet from an online advertisement only for it to fall sick or even die soon afterwards.

Don’t be foolish, your money is powerful and by supporting your local shelters and not these types of breeders – you send a clear message that you won’t stand for this treatment to animals.

After all, we don’t deserve the incredible animals we have in our lives and the love they give us – so they deserve to be given the best.

We have tried quite a few brands and recipes of chocolate chip cookies, and we have a statement to make: the recipe below is simply the easiest and tastiest you can ever make.

No complicated ingredient or technique involved in this recipe, you literally cannot bottle it.

One piece of advice: double up the ingredients and freeze half of the batch so you always have cookie dough on hand!

Ingredients

  • 250g flour
  • 125g melted butter
  • 100g white sugar
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 150g chocolate, chopped (milk, dark or white)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder

 Method

1. Preheat the oven to 165°C. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.

2. Add the beaten egg and melted butter, mix well, then stir in chocolate and combine.

3. Form 12 balls and place on a lined baking tray, 6 at a time. Bake for 10 minutes (even if the cookies are still soft, then are cooked) then take out of the oven and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes. Enjoy!

Are we really surprised?

If you haven't had any Internet for the entire weekend – you missed a gem.

Kanye West has changed his name to…Ye.

Words defy us, but it makes some sort of sense as Ye has been Kanye's nickname for a number of years.

Of course, the 41-year-old announced it in the most Kanye way possible, tweeting: "the being formally known as Kanye West…I am YE."

Naturally, the people on the Internet did what they do best – trolled the living shite out of it.

Get ready to giggle, because some of them are just pure gold.

So, do we start calling him Carl now?

Although the Internet's response was a given, and we've got some of the best meme material of 2018 – there's one question remaining.

What on earth does Kim make of it? And is she really calling him Ye?

That'll make an interesting and confusing Keeping Up with the Kardashian's episode.

A woman has come forward to accuse footballer Cristiano Ronaldo of rape.

Kathryn Mayorga alleges that the Portuguese footballer raped her 2009.

She claims that the attack happened in a Las Vegas hotel room. She says that during the alleged attack, she repeatedly said no, giving verbal non-consent.

According to the lawsuit, Ronaldo was allegedly contrite after the attack, saying that he was 'usually a gentleman.'

There are claims that Ronaldo told his team that "she said 'no' and 'stop' several times."

The same day, she reported the incident to police.

She also went to the hospital for a sexual assault examination, according to the lawsuit.

Following the alleged incident, Mayorga accepted a settlement and nondisclosure agreement.

She claims she received $375,000 in exchange for her silence.

German newspaper Der Spiegel previously published an interview with Mayorga, outlining her allegations in 2017.

In an Instagram Live last month, Ronaldo addressed the allegations, branding them as 'fake news.'

Tom Brady’s daughter is a total daddy's girl and we love it!

Little Vivian couldn’t be prouder of her father, the quarterback for the NFL Patriots.

Last year, he led the New England team to victory in the biggest US football showdown of all time – the 2017 Superbowl.

And this year, she has no doubt that her dad will do it all again as she cheers him on from the sidelines.

Her mum, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, shared the sweetest photo of the father-daughter duo on Instagram.

Dressed in his football uniform, the father takes a knee to be at eye-level with his little girl.

The two are smiling at each other, head-to-head, as she passes on some good luck vibes to her dad.

“When they say little girls own their daddies. It’s true!!” her mum captioned the picture.
