The attacker in last night's shooting at YouTube's headquarters in California has been identified as 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam.

The San Diego resident shot three people, one of whom is in critical condition, before turning the gun on herself.

Her father told local media she was irate because YouTube had minimised the income she could make on her videos.

However, a police department statement after the incident read that 'there is no evidence that the shooter knew the victims of this shooting or that individuals were specifically targeted.'

Aghdam made videos using the platform about veganism, as well as a number of other topics.

'There is no free speech in real world and you will be suppressed for telling the truth that is not supported by the system,' her website reads.

'Videos of targeted users are filtered and merely relegated, so that people can hardly see their videos.'

'Youtube filtered my channels to keep them from getting views!' she wrote on her website, above a number of screen shots of her declining view count and income.

She also embedded an assortment of other YouTube videos from popular content creators such as Casey Neistat and Bite Size Vegan discussing censorship and demonetization on the platform.

Aghdam's other social media platforms, such as her two Instagram pages have been deleted or removed.

Her YouTube channel has been terminated 'due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy.'

So, you may have noticed that the ladies here at SHEmazing HQ have a sliiight obsession with all things Harry Potter.

From Potter-themed hotels to Sorting Hat candles, we're running out of ways to prove our love for the magical series – well, almost.

Introducing Harry Potter hair!

Inspired by the colours of the house of Gryffindor, the magical look is was first created by hairstylist Crystal Casey created using a balayage technique with hues of orange, yellow, red and purple.

Speaking to Allure about how she created the spellbinding hairstyle, she explained: "The colour itself was inspired by Gryffindor from the Harry Potter movies, with my own twist, of course."

And the best part is that the HP hairdo suits all skin tones, as Crystal explains: "Since a lot of the natural brown base is left untouched, just about any skin tone can wear it."

And for those of you who were sorted into a different house (hey, hey fellow Slytherins), a whole host of Howarts-themed hair colours have been popping up online recently.

Just check out these whimsical styles created by Krystina Sporck.

Sorry, but being in Ravenclaw has never looked more appealing.

Brooklyn Beckham, much like his dad David, loves to get body art dedicated to his family.

So far the 19-year-old is decked out with his brothers' and sister's birth years, a classic heart with 'Mum' inscribed across it for Victoria, and his dad's birth year, among his other tats.

Now, the aspiring photographer has added a dainty dancer to his ink, 'for his baby sister', according to tattoo artist Mr. K (Sanghyuk Ko).

The darling ballerina perched on his ankle is wearing a lovely little tutu, with a star shining above her head.

Love it x cheers @mr.k_tats

What a sweet way to honour his baby sister!

Brooklyn was certainly pleased with the final product, writing on Instagram, "Love it x cheers."

And it looks like David may be next in line to get inked by Mr. K!

The famous footballer accompanied his son to the NYC tattoo parlour, and Mr. K wrote of the experience, "Can’t wait to tattoo you next time."

Happy Mother’s Day  love you very much

A post shared by bb (@brooklynbeckham) on

Considering that the tattoo artist included a rose emoji in the caption, we're guessing that maybe the father-of-four will be getting a floral tattoo.

As far as Brooklyn's new ink goes, his Insta followers were completely taken with the delicate tattoo tribute to six-year-old Harper.

"Harper will love it!" one fan raved in the comments.

"What a beauty," another wrote enthusiastically.

Do you have any ink honouring your family members?

Battling depression and mental health issues can feel like a lonely, isolating journey. Thankfully, these days people are being more open about their own struggles with mental health as the stigma around the topic wears away, giving hope to those around them who may be suffering in silence.

One such brave and outspoken person is Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

The movie star, who is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, recently opened up to Express about his experience with depression and how torn up he felt witnessing his mum's suicide attempt when he was a teenager.

The family had been evicted from their apartment just months before she tried to kill herself.

A post shared by therock (@therock) on

“She got out of the car on Interstate 65 in Nashville and walked into oncoming traffic,” he told the British newspaper.

Cars swerved to avoid hitting his mother Ata. Dwayne, who was only 15 at the time, stepped in to save his mum.

“I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road," the father-of-two continued.

“What’s crazy about that suicide attempt is that to this day, she has no recollection of it whatsoever. Probably best she doesn’t.”

The 45-year-old said that his own battle with depression made it very difficult for him to do anything.

"I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere," he recalled, "I was crying constantly.”

Depression plagued him again as the actor found his professional football dreams dashed by a number of injuries. He was let go by the Canadian Football League after only a year with them.

Combined with a breakup not long after, Dwayne reflected, “That was my absolute worst time."

The beloved actor says that he and his mother are both in better places now regarding their mental health, but that he and others should always be aware that those around them may be hiding their inner struggles.

A post shared by therock (@therock) on

“We both healed but we’ve always got to do our best to pay attention when other people are in pain. We have to help them through it and remind them they are not alone," he told Express.

The former wrestler's story resonated with fans around the world, and he thanked them for their kind words in a tweet.

"Got tons of responses to this. Thank you. We all go thru the sludge/sh*t and depression never discriminates. Took me a long time to realise it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone," he wrote compassionately.

We thank Dwayne and everyone who uses their voice to give hope to people struggling with mental health issues.

There are few things in life more nerve-wracking than your first day at a new job. After spending hours picking out the perfect outfit and rehearsing your handshake to the point when your hands no longer feel like they're attached to your body, there's little more you can do to kill the last of those first-day butterflies.

Sure, you got a pretty good feel for the place when you went for the interview, but you're wise enough to know that these types of things don't always go as expected.

"Where should I look? Am I talking too much? Will it look bad if I take my lunch now?" – the stress of f**king up in front of your new employer is enough to make even to most chilled human being break out in a sweat, but one careers expert has offered some advice about what not to do on your first day.

Jason Sackett told jobs website Glassdoor that anyone looking to impress a room full work colleagues should avoid talking about themselves.

"To start gaining respect of colleagues and superiors on the first day, make it about them, not about you," he said.

"A common first-day trap is to talk up your own past accomplishments and future ambitions, which makes people nervous or annoyed because they don’t know you."

Bad news if your go-to ice-breaker is a 10-minute synopsis of your life so far.

Instead, Jason says the best to make a great first impression is to show an active interest in the lives of your co-workers and ask lots of questions.

"Get curious and enquire about the roles, talents, and achievements of your colleagues to establish a persona as a listener, learner, and collaborator."

So basically, hold back on the personal speil about how that trip to Thailand changed your view of the world, and smother you colleagues with praise instead.

Richard Bruton has ordered a major review of sex education classes in Irish schools.

The Minister for Education believes that every pupil should have access to information about sexual health, relationships and sexuality.

He said, 'This must be delivered in a factual manner in every school. This review will help to inform decisions regarding the content of the curriculum and how it is delivered.”

Relationships and sex education has been a staple part of the curriculum since 1999, however, some of the content in our school’s sex education lessons is over twenty years old.

The review will look at adding important topics that have an impact on today’s students, including social media and consent.

Minister Bruton has asked the National Council on Curriculum and Assessment to look at the following:

  1. Consent: What is it and it's importance
  2. Contraception, as well as developments in the area
  3. Healthy, positive sexual expression and relationships
  4. Safe use of the internet
  5. Social media and its effects on relationships
  6. LGBTQ+ matters

Both primary and secondary school programmes will be altered in the review, but the new curriculum will be age-appropriate.

Lessons in primary schools will focus on relationships, reproduction and the body.

Secondary students will be informed about consent, which is one of the main issues the NCCA are looking at, developments in contraception and LQBTQ+ issues.

Minister Bruton stressed the importance of the review. He hopes the new curriculum will meet the needs of young people today, 'who face a range of different issues to those faced by young people in the late 1990s.'

They will also ensure that teachers are fully equipped to deliver the lessons, 'It is essential for the curriculum to be delivered by teachers who are fully supported and who feel comfortable teaching the curriculum and talking to their students about sexuality and relationships.'

The National Council on Curriculum and Assessment review will focus on issues including consent and internet safety, as well as self-esteem.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have announced that they have separated after nine years of marriage. The pair shared the heartbreaking news in a joint statement online.

The Step Up stars remain on good terms and stated that they will always be a family, regardless of their relationship status.

They wrote:

“We have something we would like to share. First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for. We’re living in an incredible moment in time, but it’s also a time where truth can easily get distorted into ‘alternative facts.

We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy. Sending lots of love to everyone, Chan&Jenna.”

Protests were organised across the country last week in the wake of the not-guilty verdict handed out by the jury to Paddy Jackson and his teammate Stuart Olding.

Blane McIlroy and Rory Harrison were also found not guilty of perverting the course of justice and withholding information.

The trial sparked a wider discussion around consent, and there was a huge public outpouring of support and solidarity for the victims of sexual assault and rape.

Now, the solidarity I Believe Her movement is garnering international attention, with a march organised in New York City, USA this evening.

'We are holding this rally in response to the outcome of the recent Belfast rape trial,' states the event description.

'This is a chance for everyone who feels the same upset and anger at the result of this trial to show their support for the victim.'

'The criminal justice system continually fails women in this regard and enough is enough.'

The protest will begin at Dag Hammarskjold Park at 7pm (or midnight Irish time) and march towards the Irish embassy.

You can find all the details via the Facebook event here.
