Aisling Bea is without a doubt one of Ireland's funniest exports. The Kildare native has enjoyed a successful stand-up career in the UK and won the hearts of the nation through her appearances on comedy panel shows like 8 out of 10 Cats and QI. 

Her career has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, and now the Irish comedian looks set to take on the bright lights of Hollywood after being cast in new American sitcom I Feel Bad, produced by Parks and Rec star Amy Poehler. 

The show, which is based on a book of the same name, follows the story Emet, who is desperately trying to juggle life as a mother, boss, wife, friend and daughter while "while simultaneously feeling shitty about virtually everything she does."

The description reads: "She feels bad when she has a sexy dream about someone other than her husband, or when she pretends not to know her kids when they misbehave in public, or when she uses her staff to help solve personal problems. But that’s OK, right? Nobody can have it all and do it perfectly."

According to Chortle.co.uk, Bea will play Simone, the main character's childhood friend  who is described as the "encourager of all bad ideas."

She will star alongside Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton and The Inbetweeners' James Buckley.

As well as her comic work, the comedian/ actress has had roles in BBC crime thrillers The Fall and Hard Sun.

Niall Horan has opened up to Eoghan McDermott in an exclusive interview featured in his upcoming documentary on RTE1.

In  Niall Horan with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Niall talks about the difficulty of maintaining relationships while touring. 

'Being in a relationship when you’re 18 or 19 is hard enough anyway, because it’s your whole world,' he told Eoghan.

'But when you have such a demanding job and you’re not in the same place as that person at the time, it can be quite tough and I’ve learned to deal with it better than I used to,' he said. 

'I used to find it really frustrating and who knows what could have happened in previous relationships if I wasn’t doing the same thing.' 

'But at the same time, if I didn’t get to travel the world I wouldn’t have got to meet these people – it’s kind of a give and a take.'

He went on to describe how his career path has made relationships more of an issue for him than if he wasn't a singer/song writer, but that it has helped his career in a way. 

'The job can be quite demanding on your personal life, but then again I wouldn’t have written these songs if it wasn’t for it!’

Travelling home to vote is an essential aspect for young people to use their voice in the upcoming referendum to repeal the 8th amendment.

One UK University is offering students a cash contribution to help them afford to fly home to vote in the referendum. 

The University of Sussex Postgraduate Education Officer on the Student's Union took to Facebook to ask students to apply for the grant. 

'Are you an Irish student eligible to vote and want to go home for Repeal the 8th?'

'In line with the NUS bursary, the Students Union are able to offer up to £100 per student for up to 15 students towards their flights and travel costs.'

All students need to do is show evidence that they are eligible to vote. 

They also need to send scans of receipts of their travel to the Campaigns and Democracy Administrator at the university.

Ed Sheeran is currently in the middle of his nine-date Irish tour, meaning the Thinking Out Loud singer will be spending most of May in the Emerald Isle.

Despite his hectic tour schedule, the singer is supposedly giving his time to one very special Irish charity.

Rumour has it the Perfect singer is planning on taking part in Darkness Into Light, a walk organised by mental health charity Pieta House.

Darkness into Light raises much-needed funds for Pieta House, and also brings people together to show those suffering from mental health battles that they are not alone.

The fundraising event will take place across four continents on May 12, with over 180 walks organised around the world.

The Castle On The Hill singer will be in the West of Ireland at the time of the event, and reports claim that he’ll be attending the Westport 5km walk.

Darkness Into Light Westport posted about the rumour, “Where will a certain redhead musician, who is playing around Ireland, do the Darkness Into Light walk?'

'Rumour has it that he will be walking here with us in Westport.”

Other reports claim that the singer will be taking part in the Galway walk which takes place along the Salthill Prom.

Regardless of the location, it would be incredibly special for the Galway Girl singer to take part in Darkness Into Light.

The Momager Collection will be released on the 13th of May, Mother’s Day in the US.

Kylie's latest collection is all about her mum, the power woman that is Kris Jenner.

The name of the collection is a common nickname given to the 62-year-old and the range includes an eyeshadow palette, a collection of mini lipsticks, a quattro highlighter palette and two full-sized lipsticks.

Giving us a sneak peek into the new collection on Kylies’ and Kriscomestics’ Instagram story, the Momager herself can be seen swatching gloss, showing off highlighter and eyeshadows.

In the promotional videos, we can see a number of quotes and names for the products which embody Kris, with phrases like “ You’re doing great sweetie,” and “One word for tonight: Vodka.”

The eyeshadows have names like “hater”, “I’m watching you” and “does it come in black.”

The line might not come as a surprise as other family members have teamed up with the 20-year-old to create their own brand.

The KOKO Kollection was a collaboration with Khloe and was launched in 2016. 

The mum-of-one then teamed up with the oldest sister Kourtney to drop KOURTXKYLIE on the 24th of April 2018.

KKW X Kylie collection was established with sister Kim and the two looked very similar in the promotional photographs. 

After Kris' time in the Kylie limelight, we wonder if Kendall will be next.

When it comes to shaping our faces, our eyebrows are less the windows to the soul and more the key to looking groomed and glam. 

Every year, brow champions Benefit host a philanthropic project to benefit (geddit) two amazing local charities.

The proceeds of every Bold Is Beautiful brow wax over the month of May will be donated in full to the charities.

This year, the project is running from April 28th to May 27th for Daisyhouse, and Look Good Feel Better.

'Daisyhouse Ireland works tirelessly in Ireland to provide secure affordable high quality supported accommodation to homeless women and to provide them with the skills and confidence to move to independent living,' Benefit say of the initiative. 

As for Look Good, Feel Better, they are dedicated to improving the wellbeing and self-confidence of women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.

Both charities empower and and care for the women of Ireland, and as if that wasn't reason enough to go down and get those stray hairs taken care of, Benefit are throwing a Roller Disco.

Hosted in Dublin's Opium Rooms, browzillas can book in to get their brows waxed and give roller-skating a go.

On May 12th and 13th, you can skate your socks off, have your brows waxed, and shop the Benefit Beauty Bar.

Benefit fans can also get a styling session with the one and only Courtney Smith, one of Ireland's leading stylists, and have their hair done by Brown Sugar. So pretty much the best day out ever, right?

When designer Helen Steele took to the VIP Style Awards red carpet, all eyes were on the 'fashion is repealing' slogan adorning her statement dress. 

The dress is one of many designs which will be hosted in The Atrium tomorrow evening, in a benefit for the Together For Yes campaign, the National Civil Society Campaign to remove the Eighth Amendment from the Constitution.

12 of Ireland's most creative minds in fashion have come together to create a 12 piece, one-off couture collection, along with 50 other limited edition pieces per designer.

Helen Steele, Natalie B Coleman, Margaret O’Connor, Chupi, Pearl Reddington, Jill DeBurca, Caoimhe MacNeice, Tissue, Manley, Sphere One, Atrium and Louise Kavanagh are the designers involved. 

The ‘Fashion is Repealing’ collection will feature hats, necklaces, jackets, dresses and tees.

'As the referendum mostly affects women, we wanted to work with the Irish fashion industry to create a visual conversation within an industry primarily absorbed by women,' said The HunReal Issues founder Andrea Horan.

'We worked with the best designers and makers to come up with some of the most powerful responses to the fight for reproductive rights in Ireland.'

'Whoever is lucky enough to end up with these pieces will be getting a piece of fashion history.'

The designers themselves are impassioned by the project. 

'The defiant feeling of the boldness of the word repeal in the hard metal just makes you feel and believe that we can do this,' designer Chupi Sweetman said of her design. 'This is our chance.' 

All items will be available to buy in Atrium, Powerscourt Centre tomorrow night from 5-7.30pm.

Professional accounting body ACCA Ireland is calling on the Government to clamp down on unpaid internships. 

The financial institution is suggesting that Ireland introduce measures similar to those adopted in the UK in an effort to reduce the number of students working for free. 

ACCA Ireland have also called on businesses to take responsibility in ensuring that their programmes do not "unfairly discriminate" against students from low and middle income families by paying their interns minimum wage or above. 

They note that, for many, entry into certain sectors such as accountancy, journalism, law and engineering still requires a period of unpaid work, meaning only those with another means of financial support are able to make their way onto the career ladder. 

Aidan Clifford, Technical Director at ACCA Ireland claims unpaid internships are acting as a barrier to social mobility.

 “Unpaid internships limit the pool of talent available to a company. A wealthy parent is not a good indicator of the abilities of their child.

“When a company’s customers can come from all walks of life, having the majority of staff coming from one single socio-economic group adversely affects their business.

“It is better for a company to recruit the best and not just those with wealthy parents, and a paid internship programme is an effective means of helping achieve this."

He went on to stress how many young people feel unfairly treated and recommended that companies be sent guidelines which they must adhere to. 

"The Irish Government should consider measures taken in the UK which has seen HMRC sending out guidelines on the obligations of paying interns the minimum wage and setting up enforcement teams to tackle offending companies.

“ACCA guidance is that employers should provide adequate remuneration, set reasonable timelines at the outset and structure programmes to fairly offer training on the job without replacing a full-time employee.”

Gail Honeyman trickles hints about Eleanor’s history and her relationship with her mother in the early pages of this book, and as time goes by we learn more and more about her disturbing family life.

Despite the drama, what keeps you turning the pages is the main theme of the book, and that is the importance of being kind to others.

Put down the cranberry carton.

According to new research, cranberry juice shows little evidence of helping those suffering from UTIs.

Under new draft guidance in the UK, patients will be informed of the little benefit the juice can have and doctors will be given guidelines before prescribing antibiotics.

This includes doctors asking about the severity of symptoms and pain, and whether or not patients have taken painkillers.

The move comes in a bid to stop the growing problem of drug resistance.

The proposed suggestions were issued by Britain’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Their motivation is to improve treatment for those who suffer from urinary tract infections.

The draft recommendations state that patients with cystitis should be made aware that "no evidence" exists to support cranberry products aiding the recovery of UTIs.

Individuals who experience recurrent UTIs should be informed that studies show “inconclusive" results that cranberry products prevent the infection from returning.

UTIs are caused by bacteria and usually, the body’s immune system can fight the infection, however, in some cases, a stronger UTI will require an antibiotic.

According to the experts, in conjunction with doctors asking patients about their symptoms and preventative measures, they may also require a urine sample to test for infection, to identify which is the most effective antibiotic for treatment.

Dr Susan Hopkins, of Public Health England, said: "Our surveillance shows that more than a third of laboratory-confirmed E.coli UTIs display resistance to key antibiotics.

We are therefore urging GP practices and hospitals to follow the new guidelines so they can prescribe antibiotics appropriately to their patients."

"This will preserve our antibiotics so that they not only save lives today but can continue to save lives tomorrow."

The director for the centre of guidelines at NICE, Professor Mark Baker said: "We recognise that the majority of UTIs will require antibiotic treatment, but we need to be smarter with our use of these medicines.

Our new guidance will help healthcare professionals to optimise their use of antibiotics."

"This will help to protect these vital medicines and ensure that no one experiences side effects from a treatment they do not need."

A consultation on the draft guidelines will come to a close on 5 June.

There are few things in life more frustrating than waking up after heavy night only to realise that your brand new suede shoes have been scuffed beyond recognition. 

It's a sure-fire way to put a damper on an otherwise great night, but thanks to one clever Twitter user, we'll never have to mourn a pair of killer heels ever again. 

Kiera O'Hagan shared her genius tip after realising that an everyday product worked wonders at removing stains from her nude sandals – and it's very likely to be sitting in your bathroom cupboard. 

“Micellar water has just took [sic] all the stains out my suede heels. Everyone needs to try this,” she wrote. 

Genius! 

And it's not just for heels. Apparently the brilliant trick works on suede runners too. 

May users have thanked Kiera for sharing the 'life-saving' tip, with one even crediting the hack with saving a pair of heels she was about to throw out. 

We'll definitely be trying this!
