love life

Well, we're warning you now, gals. If you have plans to date Troublemaker singer Olly Murs, he's got a long list of demands for you.

He has spoken candidly about his love life in an interview with ITV's Lorraine Kelly, saying that he's too fussy to maintain a relationship;

"Even if I came with an instruction manual I’d be a nightmare," the 34-year-old singer admitted about the experience of dating him. "I don’t just want to accept an okay relationship. I want to wait for something special."

However, the former X-Factor contestant makes it a well-known fact that he is currently happy about being single;

"I’m enjoying myself and enjoying my life. My love life is everywhere in the papers and online, " Olly commented on the speculation surrounding his private life;

"I’m really happy on my own. I’ve learnt to love myself and I think that’s important."

The singer was on the reality talent search show all the way back in 2009, and has been linked with Melanie Sykes most recently, after splitting with girlfriend Francesca Thomas.

Murs dated Thomas since 2015, and the split came as a surprise to the general public, but the artist is confident that love will come his way when he least expects it;

"It’s going to happen when I walk out of here." He also spoke to Lorraine about the fact that he hasn't spoken to his twin since he failed to show up to his wedding, despite the fact that Olly was enlisted as the Best Man. Yikes.

He has previously claimed that dating is difficult for him, as well as the women who he meets, due to preconceived notions of his personality.

"They may think that I’m not as good-looking as I seem on TV or they might think I’m not as nice in real life. Whereas for me, I’m just meeting them for the first time. Maybe that’s why I’m still single!"

Maybe, Olly. Maybe.

Ellie Goulding has shared the most joyous news this morning. The Still Falling For You singer announced her engagement in today’s edition of The Times.

The announcement read: “Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding.

“The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands."

A source told The Sun that the Love Me Like You Do wanted to tell her family and friends first and thought this was a perfect way because the public wouldn’t realise her real name.

They added: “She’s over the moon and has never felt so happy.”

Ellie has been dating art dealer Caspar Jopling for the past 18-months.

Earlier this year, the Under The Sheets singer gushed about her relationship: “We’re really, really happy together. I’m loving my life at the moment.”

Lili Reinhart has shared quite the sentimental post in honour of boyfriend Cole Sprouse’s 26th birthday.

The Riverdale star posted a photo of her co-star, believed to be taken on their trip to Cuixmala, Mexico earlier this year on her Instagram account.

Sharing the personal snap with her 10 million followers, the actress wished Cole a happy birthday.

She penned the most sentimental message alongside the photo: “It seems as if the world would still be a stranger to me, if not for you.”

The actress continued: “I’m so thankful that our paths intertwined to form this beautiful adventure.”

“Happy birthday, my love,” 21-year-old Lili added.

The Riverdale co-stars are far too romantic.

We certainly aren’t the only ones who are swooning over the couple. Lili’s birthday tribute to Cole has received over three million likes in less than 24 hours.

Lili and Cole made their red carpet debut as a couple at this year’s Met Gala, but have otherwise been notoriously private about their relationship.

The duo don’t believe in discussing their relationship in public, with Lili recently admitting to Harper’s Bazaar: “I'm not okay talking about my relationship. I'm not going to tell you my love story. That's just not appropriate right now."

The Riverdale actress previously admitted that she was horrified by how invested people are in her love life, “It is mine. It is private. If a stranger’s love life is causing you anger, frustration or anxiety… please reevaluate your priorities."

Power to ya Lili!

Niall Horan has opened up to Eoghan McDermott in an exclusive interview featured in his upcoming documentary on RTE1.

In  Niall Horan with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Niall talks about the difficulty of maintaining relationships while touring.

'Being in a relationship when you’re 18 or 19 is hard enough anyway, because it’s your whole world,' he told Eoghan.

'But when you have such a demanding job and you’re not in the same place as that person at the time, it can be quite tough and I’ve learned to deal with it better than I used to,' he said.

'I used to find it really frustrating and who knows what could have happened in previous relationships if I wasn’t doing the same thing.'

'But at the same time, if I didn’t get to travel the world I wouldn’t have got to meet these people – it’s kind of a give and a take.'

He went on to describe how his career path has made relationships more of an issue for him than if he wasn't a singer/song writer, but that it has helped his career in a way.

'The job can be quite demanding on your personal life, but then again I wouldn’t have written these songs if it wasn’t for it!’

The full documentary airs this Saturday 12 May at 6.55pm on RTÉ One.

Khloe Kardashian's love life is one very complicated life indeed.

Last weekend, her sister Kim spilled the beans that Khloe was taking a morning hike with Lamar Odom, and rumours flooded in that the pair were back together again.

It was then rumoured that Khloe split from basketball player James Harden a few weeks ago, yet nothing was confirmed so nobody was really sure what was going on.

But NOW, news has surfaced that Khloe enjoyed a night on the tiles with another ex-lover, French Montana.

The pair were spotted having dinner in celeb-fave The Nice Guy restaurant in Hollywood. The couple then headed out to a nearby strip club, Ace of Diamonds.

Khloe's BFF Malika Haqq was also spotted with them on the night, which makes us wonder if Khloe is back with French.

It was no secret that Malika didn't like James, so now that they're playing happy family, it could be for Khloe's benefit.

We're not really sure who Khloe is loving at the moment, but we hope she's happy after the year she went through.

Ah, the teenage years – so much drama!

Our guest blogger Fenella Fox from The Fox Files takes a trip down memory lane with a look at a few of the guys that definitely crossed your path during your teenage years. We bet you met a few of these….

The Sophisticated Sixth Year
He is way older than you, you don't stand a chance with him, you never ever see him apart from once a year when you cross paths in town – and he likes to discuss topics such as The Universe and global warming. One time he messaged you on Facebook and you still haven't recovered from it…

The "You think I'm playing it cool but I'm actually just a dick" Guy
He enjoys texting you every now and then to mess with your emotions and then ignores you for months on end after that. You may have asked yourself “hmmm what does this mean?” Well, mature adult me is now telling you that it means MOVE ON.

The Player
He's had some sort of love affair with every girl in town. You were also a victim but believed you could have been the one to change him. Soz babes… but you wont change him. Obviously you're still gonna fall for it everytime despite warnings from your friends, his friends, your family, the government and your goldfish… but, what do they know right?

The "We're just friends I swear" Guy
You've been friends for years but there’s always been harmless flirting going on. Nothing more, nothing less, just harmless flirting. You think there’s no feelings there until he gets a girlfriend and you can’t help but hate them for it a little bit. There is absolutely nothing going on between you and the thought of ever shifting him freaks you out a little bit, but how dare he get a girlfriend? Rude!

The "Never Gonna Happen" Guy
He's the perfect guy who treats you better than all the other guys you know. Boyfriend material and any girl would be lucky to have him, but not you. He is in the Friend Zone and always will be. He tries to make his move when you're crying on his shoulder about being broken hearted and you have to shoot him down with the "I love you like a brother" line and just hope he never tries that EVER again…

No matter how perfect (or not) your dating life is, it's just never going to be at a rom-com standard.

There's no soundtrack, for one, and unless you're extremely lucky you're probably not going to bump into Channing Tatum while walking down O'Connell St.

We love a good romantic film, especially now that Valentine's Day is drawing near, but at the end of the day much of what's portrayed is totally unrealistic.

Here are just six of the many, many ways our love life doesn't resemble a Hollywood blockbuster…

1. There's no dramatic first meeting
Meeting at Coppers is not exactly the same as him convincing you not to jump off a ship into the freezing Atlantic Ocean.

2. If you hate someone, chances are you won't end up falling in love with them
Unless they REALLY change their commitment-phobic/arrogant/tactless ways.

3. That last-minute airport dash to tell someone you love them never seems convenient
Though we were totally rooting for Sam in Love Actually!

4. Kissing is the rain is NOT romantic
It's freezing cold, the wind is smacking us in the face and you want a SHIFT? G'way outta that.

5. The first time the two of you have sex is rarely amazing
It's either drunken or very awkward, let's be honest.

6. Even if you dramatically change your hair and clothes, he probably won't notice
That "big reveal" never quite works the same in real life as it does in the movies…
