Deliveroo has launched a cash golden ticket giveaway with WOWburger Tallaght to celebrate the restaurant joining the delivery app.

Willy Wonka and Charlie are 100 percent GAGGIN' for this prize, that's for sure. Deliveroo will offer two WOWburger customers €500 Golden Tickets this weekend, out of pure generosity. We heart.

All you have to do is order a tasty burger from the Tallaght restaurant via Deliveroo; It literally couldn't be any easier. Imagine getting mouth-watering grub and 500 coins simultaneously? What a day.

The giveaway takes place from today, with the first winner selected this week, and the second winner chosen next week.

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a young man in Beaumont Hospital last night.

The 20-year-old had been found with serious head injuries on the Old Blessington Road in Tallaght, at around 3am on the morning of November 1.

The victim was initially taken to Tallaght Hospital but was later transferred to Beaumont where he remained in intensive care until he lost his fight for life on Monday.

A post-mortem has been carried out and Gardaí have upgraded their inquiry from an assault investigation to a murder investigation.

One man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being held at Tallaght Garda Station.

Investigations are ongoing.

Following an eight-hour manhunt across west Dublin on Monday, Joseph Rafferty was eventually apprehended and arrested by Gardaí at CityWest Shopping Centre on Monday afternoon.

According to 98FM, the 37-year-old, with an address in Russell Place, Russell Square in Tallaght, has appeared before Tallaght District Court this morning.

Rafferty, who was charged with six offences including car-jacking, aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm, made no reply when the charges were put to him yesterday.

It has been established that Raffety's council made no application for bail, and requested his client receive appropriate psychiatric treatment while in custody of the State.

Rafferty will appear before Cloverhill District Court next week.

Gardaí in Tallaght have arrested a man following a series of incidents in a residential area in west Dublin earlier today.

It is understood that the suspect, who was described as 'armed' by authorities this morning, is suspected of assault and two car-jackings.

He is currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station. It has been established that a firearm has been recovered.

According to reports, armed response units patrolled the area while a search was carried out in a house in Brookview.

Garda in Tallaght are currently searching for an individual who is believed to be armed with a gun.

Following a 'series of incidents' in the west Dublin area this morning, Gardaí launched a manhunt, and are now combing the area in search of the assailant.

According to emerging reports, the incidents involved car-jackings.

It has been established that no one was injured in any of the incidents.

Of all the bizarre things that happen in this little country, seeing wild animals around the place is certainly something new.

And by wild, we're not talking about a fox or a rabbit found in the woods. Nope, we're talking about three MASSIVE elephants just lounging around on a green in Dublin.

Yep, we kid you not. On Tymon Park in Tallaght, local residents were welcomed to the sight of the beautiful creatures.

The Echo Newspaper reports that the elephants belong to the Belly Wien circus who are situated just across the road from the green.

The elephants were held in by a simple plastic rope, and we'd say people waiting for the bus beside them got quite a scare if they came close.

Ah, Dublin. You never fail to surprise us.

Well, this was totally unexpected but also totally awesome.

Show Nightclub in Tallaght, Dublin are hosting a 90s night and none other than S Club are going to be there.

It's looking like two of the bands members, Bradley and Jo are set to give a live performance on Saturday night, according to the club's Facebook page.

Hell, yes.

So far, only 168 people have confirmed they will be attending the 90s nostalgia night, so get in quick before it totally fills up.
