From shiny new blenders to luxurious scented candles, Aldi's middle aisle is famous for stocking affordable alternatives to the most popular branded products – and it's latest special buy might just be the most exciting yet.

Launching this May, the budget supermarket have just announced the release of two new eyeshadow palettes and they're total dupes for Urban Decay's cult NAKED products.

Priced at just €7.99, the Naturals Eyeshadow Palettes will come in two varieties, 'Naturals' and 'Naturals 2'.

Each palette contains 12 long-lasting shimmer, matte and satin eyeshadows, with hues ranging from smokey greys to glittering golds

Oh, and just like Urban Decay products, both palettes are completely cruelty-free.

They also come with a dual-ended eyeshadow brush and a built-in mirror, so you can touch up your smokey eye on-the-go.

These babies will land in Irish stores on May 17, so mark your diaries as once these special buys are gone, they're gone!

There’s less than a month to go until the wedding of the year. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on May 19.

We’ve been finding out all the wedding details as we inch closer and closer to Harry and Meghan’s big day.

We know what flowers the Suits actress will have in her bouquet, we know what the invites look like, we know what music they’ll have during the church ceremony, and now we finally know who will be Prince Harry’s best man.

Kensington Palace revealed that Prince William will be his best man at his wedding to Meghan Markle.

“Prince Harry has asked his brother The Duke of Cambridge to be his Best Man at his wedding to Ms. Meghan Markle,” Kensington Palace confirmed.

Harry served as best man to The Duke of Cambridge at his wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011.

William said he is honoured to be Harry’s best man, “The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother at St George's Chapel, Windsor on May 19th.”

Prince William recently spoke about how they grew close after the tragic death of their mum Princess Diana. “Our relationship is closer than it's been because of the situation we've been through. Losing our mother at a young age it's helped us travel through that difficult patch together,” William admitted.

The Duke of Cambridge explained that supporting one another through the grieving process strengthened their relationship, “You're like-minded. You go through similar things, it's a bond and it's something you know you've tackled together and come out better for it."

William was 15-years-old, and Harry was 12-years-old when Diana lost her life following a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris, in 1997.

Reigning queen of Twitter (and our hearts) Chrissy Teigen has once again proved she's an absolute gas bitch with her response to Kim Kardashian's latest nude photo.

Earlier this week, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared a photo of herself covered in plaster as she made a mould of her body so that it could be used as the shape of her new perfume bottle.

The photo sparked quite the debate online with many people comparing the concept to the classic Jean Paul Gaultier perfume bottle, while others accused the star of posting the naked picture in order to stay relevant.

However, if there's one person you can trust to see the lighter side of any situation, it's Chrissy Teigen.

The model, who is currently pregnant with her second child, responded to the post by saying how she was going to release a rival perfume from a mould of her "giant body", which would ultimately sell better because customers would get more bang for their buck.

“Well I’m going to put out a COMPETING PERFUME from a mold of my giant body and it will hold TWICE as much perfume as your bottle and the people will get MORE perfume,” she wrote.

And while the response was obviously meant in jest, we definitely wouldn't say no to a Chrissy fragrance.

Joanne Larby took a number of weeks off her social media platforms, after being called out by digital behemoth Bloggers Unveiled.

The page, which has 133,000 followers and growing, identified a number of practices of Joanne's that they felt were unsavoury.

The Make Up Fairy has returned to her Instagram platform, with a statement regarding her absence.

'As many of you are aware I’ve been offline for the past couple of weeks. During this time I’ve had the chance to reflect on the whole scenario and I’ve asked myself what I did to deserve what happened.'

'In terms of the hate campaign that ensued the answer is nothing, purely because receiving messages from strangers telling me they hope I kill myself or end up on the dole and involving my family is not acceptable,' she began, in a lengthy caption.

While she condemned the actions of those who sent her abusive messages online, she did acknowledge that some of her actions merited criticism.

A post shared by Joanne Larby (@makeupfairypro) on

'HOWEVER did I deserve to be called out on certain things? 100%. I’ve actually been really humbled by this whole experience and gained a huge amount of knowledge.'

'I hold my hands up to making mistakes, I have plenty of flaws, I’m human and I’m always learning. The balance between business woman and brand isn’t always easy, but sometimes you just have to bring it back to basics and I would like to say sorry.'

'I’ve listened to your constructive comments, which I’m very grateful for because I’ve learnt a huge amount about myself, my strength and my wonderful followers who don’t believe everything they see or read online.'

A post shared by Joanne Larby (@makeupfairypro) on

'My content is about enjoying life, trying out new hobbies, finding balance in terms of health and mental wellness. I’m passionate about beauty and fashion and inspiring women to take strength from shitty situations.'

'You’ll catch me in real life most likely laughing confidently with no make up on and online in front of 150,000 people I feckin’ love a filter. Huge big hug to those of you who have continued to support me,' she finished.

Bloggers Unveiled reposted her Instagram caption, asking her followers to have their say in the comments section, as she claimed that followers of The Make Up Fairy who were asking questions were being blocked.

'Do you guys think this post is an adequate explanation and a considered apology for how she has treated her followers, or is it just more of the same?'

Last night, the Domestic Violence Bill passed its final stages in the Dáil, putting in place important measures that will aid victims of psychological abuse.

This move follows a recent report from Women's Aid that they received 10,281 disclosures of emotional abuse during 2017.

In order to help the victims of such abuse, some of this law's key measures include improving courts access for victims and criminalising controlling behaviour. The bill still has to go back to the Seanad before the President can sign it into law.

Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan says that the Domestic Violence Bill is one of the most important pieces of legislation passed by the Oireachtas in 2018.

"The new offence of coercive control sends a clear consistent message that non-violent control in an intimate relationship is criminal," he told BreakingNews.ie.

"The effect of such behaviour may be as harmful to victims as physical abuse because it's an abuse of the unique trust associated with intimate relationships."

Women's Aid Director Margaret Martin commended the passing of the new legislation, and the light it sheds on the fact that abuse goes beyond the physical.

"It's really important that there is move away to understand that domestic violence actually includes so many different forms – whether it's physical, emotional, sexual or financial," she noted.

"An awful lot of people, they may never be physically abused but they may live with the high level of fear and threat and control and I think it's great to see that that's now going to be an offence."

Fianna Fail TD Jim O'Callaghan says that this is also a teaching moment, and more needs to be done to educate young men on how abusing women is unacceptable.

"The only way we are going to be able to resolve the problem and ensure that domestic violence is reduced is through a legislative response – we have that here, but also we need further responses," he observed.

"We need in particular to be able to educate and inform young men of the unacceptability of using violence against women."

We are heartened to hear that the Domestic Violence Bill will help victims of abuse receive the protection and support they need.

Kanye West reactivated his Twitter account earlier this month and, as we would expect from the famed rapper, his return to social media has been divisive.

The father-of-three revealed on Twitter that he has parted from his manager, writing, "I can't be managed."

This is believed to be in reference to his manager of the last two-and-a-half years, Scooter Braun, who kick-started Justin Bieber's career. However, this remains unclear. According to People, the Grammy Award winner also recently split from his manager Izvor 'Izzy' Zivkovic.

Besides these professional updates, the outspoken rapper also expressed his 'love' for Donald Trump.

Kanye has received much criticism for his Trump-related tweets, including from fellow celebrities like John Legend and Ice T. As well, some members of the public said they were concerned for the rapper, in light of his decision to end multiple professional relationships.

Kim Kardashian West addressed this backlash in a series of tweets, in which she called for the media not to use the term 'mental health' lightly, as some have claimed Kanye's controversial tweets were the result of mental health issues.

The mum also mentioned the 'sunken place', which Kanye had referenced in a tweet. The 'sunken place' is a term from Jordan Peele's acclaimed film Get Out, and refers to a void where a person feels powerless.

Kanye had clarified earlier in the day, "My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself."

As well, the 'Heartless' rapper professed his appreciation for Hillary Clinton:

"For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary I love Hillary too."

Well, you certainly can't say the man is boring to follow on Twitter.

Lads, there's actually nothing better than finding a gorge new watering hole – and last week we hit the JACKPOT!

Kennedy’s Pub, dating back to the 1850’s recently completed their stun new of their new cocktail bar ‘Kennedy’s Station’, which is located downstairs within the historic Dublin pub and former workplace of Oscar Wilde.

We went for a little gawk last week, and we were far from disappointed.

The new owners of the Dublin 2 venue have pushed the boundaries by launching a cocktail bar within what was once viewed as a traditional Dublin publican, steeped in history.

The Mahon family, who own the ‘Pig ‘n’ Whistle’ group of 12 bars and restaurants in New York, bought the venue in 2016 and realised the potential to introduce a cocktail bar downstairs.

Who doesn't LOVE a cheeky espresso martini of a Thursday?

The snazzy new cocktail bar is located within a bustling office area in central Dublin 2, nestled between Grand Canal and Grafton St.

Brothers Rob and John Mahon have taken the lead on the venue renovations, which also saw the upstairs pub get a revamp, spending a small fortune upgrading both the pub upstairs and new downstairs cocktail bar.

The upstairs pub has become synonymous with Irish rugby and is now one of the most popular destinations to enjoy live matches in Dublin (COYBIG, and all that jazz). The pub boasts craft beers and delicious gastro-pub food, with a distinctive menu offered by executive Head Chef Darren Cooney, has been introduced to both the pub upstairs and the bar downstairs.

Speaking about the venue revamp, Rob Mahon, Managing partner of the ‘Pig ‘n’ Whistle group, said, “We are so happy with how renovation has worked out, keeping the more traditional rugby pub upstairs and introducing a modern cocktail bar downstairs. We are surrounded by a lot of large office buildings here and we realised a really good cocktail offering was missing from the area."

"Along with the bar investment, we have brought in some really talented mixologists, specialising in some Dubliner cocktail favourites, including Whiskey Sours, Mojitos and Espresso Martinis, all for only €10 each. Kennedy’s Pub is so historic however, that we knew we needed to keep the traditional rugby pub upstairs, and just give it a facelift and some TLC”.

Gals, get yourselves to Kennedys glitzy new cocktail bar – you'll be glad you did.

Ariana Dunne, the CCO here at SHEmazing HQ, has shared her thoughts on the upcoming referendum.

Holding the leaflets in our hands sitting on the steps of Easons on Middle Abbey Street my friend and I cried as our teenage brains failed to comprehend how anyone could murder an innocent baby. The pamphlet we held contained a no holds barred image of a torn and tattered foetus, handed to us by a posse of anti-abortion protestors pitched up with placards outside the GPO.

This was 1996, four years after the failed referendum of 1992 and 6 years before the 2002 attempt. So the reason for this protest was, I can only imagine, to cause controversy, spark debate and shame those who had, or who were considering a termination.

As a 15 year old who’s virginity was still intact I vowed that day that I would never under any circumstances have an abortion. With the distressing images ingrained in my brain I was sure in my conviction that abortion was an abomination and should never be legalised in Ireland.

Fast forward four years and I’m crying again. ‘Don’t worry I’m sure it will be fine’ my friend reassured me as I relayed what had happened the previous evening. A romantic dalliance with a man I barely knew, a split condom, a swift departure and me left to pick up the pieces of all the fears that come with unprotected sex.

Though of course the fear that held precedence was that I may be pregnant with a baby I neither wanted nor was prepared for in any way shape or form. I was in college with a degree forming in my brain while a potential baby formed in my belly and there was simply not enough room inside my body for both to flourish. I had a career planned out, dreams of a life that involved travel and fun and freedom.

Silhouette of Person in Front of Fence

I made an appointment with an emergency doctor, my friend drove me to the clinic, pale faced and shame faced I sat before a stern unkindly doctor feeling judged for my inability to prevent a thin film of rubber from breaking on an appendage that wasn’t even my own.

He prescribed a pill that I had 72 hours to source, pay for and consume in the hopes that I would not face impending motherhood.

My emergency doctor’s appointment had already set me back €80 and I then had a terrifying few days to wait before I could take a viable pregnancy test. My mind raced, recalling from its depths the leaflet I had seen as a teen, but my outrage had shifted.

How dare those people inflict such horrendous imagery on a young innocent. If I was pregnant now there was no doubt I would be on the first boat over to England. Of course I would. I was not fit to be a mother to an innocent baby at this stage in my life, I could barely fathom how I would cobble the fare and the cost of the procedure let alone afford the ongoing cost of an actual living human being.

Thankfully the absence of a single blue line on the pregnancy test I had shamefully bought and secreted away in my handbag from a pharmacy where no one would possibly know me confirmed that on this occasion a pregnancy had not occurred. The relief that swept over me was palpable.

But I was the lucky one and I knew that. So many before and after me have had the dilemma firmly placed in their laps. A lap that then bares the weight of guilt or the weight of a bouncing baby depending on the choice that is bravely made by my sisterhood.

Choice.

That’s the crux.

The choices we make.

beautiful, hands, heart

Fast forward 16 years and I’m now a 35 year old single career woman. A title which seemingly casts me as the wicked witch in this abortion referendum, even by the Yes voters. Articles I’ve read compare the innocent 16 year old who finds herself pregnant with the evil 30 something ‘career’ woman who’s lack of supposed vulnerability inhibits her from making a ‘choice’ we can all agree with.

But in all honestly as my 36th year looms my biological clock ticks louder by the minute. The truth is I have never once seen a double blue line on a pregnancy test and I have taken more than a few throughout the years of sexual accidents and mishaps.

My sacrificial journey to the UK never had to happen. For this I am grateful, but now I also lament the fact that the pregnancy I had always feared never actually happened. If I had a mishap now, single and all that I am, I would not make that fateful lonely journey and I would now choose to keep the baby and do my best to raise a happy child on my own.

In fact if in two years I have still have not found someone to share my life with I will have a child on my own with the help of fertility clinics. If the universe is willing of course. And I will no doubt face judgement with regard to that choice too.

Over my life I have had many choices. I chose to be anti abortion, then I was pro and now I just want everyone to be happy with whatever choices they make with regards to bringing a new life into this world or not as the case may be.

For me on May 25th I will vote. A privilege in itself.

And I will choose choice.

Are you in the market for a pet, but you really cannot decide what breed to go for?

Well, we’ve been there, so we thought we might start going through some of our favourite dog breeds, and help you make the decision.

Our first dog breed? Greyhounds – the most docile and sweet animals ever.

Here are 10 brilliant reasons to adopt a greyhound:

1. You’re saving a life.

After a brief racing career, many Greyhounds will be put up for adoption. When you adopt a Greyhound you’re saving a dog in need. By adopting you’re helping to make room for these rescues to help other animals in need.

2. They are extremely gentle and affectionate.

Greyhounds are very gentle dogs and are naturally reserved. They also have have wonderful manners indoors – they’re quiet, clean and gentle.

3. They are incredibly friendly.

If you’re looking a dog that’s easygoing and known for being well mannered when meeting new people, then a Greyhound will make a perfect companion.

4. Low maintenance in terms of health.

Because of generations of breeding based on only the healthiest and most talented racers, greyhounds do not suffer from congenital illnesses as much as other breeds might.

5. They make great apartment dogs.

You may be surprised, but greyhounds are quiet indoors, laid back, and love to lounge around in their favourite comfy spot. They’re actually happy to lay around all day while you go to work, and require less exercise than many other breeds.

6. They tend not to shed much.

Due to their smooth, low shedding fur, greyhounds make great house pets. They are also one of the few dogs proven to be less of a risk to those with asthma and other allergenic reactions.

7. They’re easy to groom.

Their short coat is sleek and easy to care for – easily maintained by weekly grooming and an occasional bath.

8. They’re robust, and tend to live long.

Compared with many other dog breeds that are similar in size, Greyhounds have an longer average life expectancy of 10-13 years. Due to their selective and careful breeding for the track their health concerns are considered minimal compared to other breeds of the same size.

9. They hate the rain.

Greyhounds are notorious for their hatred of rain – so that will save you having to walk them when the weather is miserable.

10. They are so darn CUTE.

I mean, COME ON. Look at their gorgeous little faces! How could you not want one?
