Who needs Santa when Dwayne Johnson exists? – Certainly not his mother.

Dwayne gave the big man in the red suit a run for his money when he gave his mother a Christmas gift of a lifetime.

Dwayne aka 'The Rock' splashed out by buying her a HOUSE to show her just how much he appreciates her.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a clip of his momma receiving the pressie and its totes emotional.

Dwayne captioned the video: "This one felt good. Surprise! Bought my mom a new home for Christmas."

"All our lives growing up we lived in little apartments all across the country. Lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another.

The first home my parents ever lived in was the one I bought for them in 1999."

He went onto explain that after five years, they decided to divorce, but he always made sure that his parents had everything they ever needed.

However, he said this particular time was a "special one and the timing is very meaningful."

"I told her to treat this card like it’s “Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket” because she gets to choose any home she wants – anywhere she wants," he wrote.

"I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being," he added – couldn't agree more tbh.

Humble as always, Dwayne finished by saying: "And somehow, somewhere along the line I became one lucky SOB to be able to make stuff like this happen.

Merry Christmas Ma and WOOOHOOO enjoy your new home."

We think her reaction and face says it all – she's completely overcome by emotion.

We think we know who has won son of the year.

If this isn't festive television at it's finest, we don't know what is.

The series kicks off tonight and we will be treated to the tale for six weeks.

Stars include The Affair actor Dominic West who will play the main character, prisoner Jean Valjean.

The inspector Javert, who is tasked with tracking down and bringing Jean to justice, will star David Oyelowo.

And Lily Collins will fill the role of Fantine.

Les Miserables was a roaring success in the cinema adaptation which starred the likes of Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway.

The novel also went down a treat with audiences on theatre stages such as the West End and Broadway.

However, the BBC's interpretation won't include any singing or dancing, as it hopes to draw the viewer back to the original story from the book.

Actor, Dominic West explained: “It’s been a real inspiration and total joy to bring this masterpiece to dramatic life, and if our portrayal brings people back to the book then that is a great thing."

“What is the most interesting thing about Valjean is his moral core and his battle with his own demons to be a good man."

“He is a true hero in that way. He is constantly persecuted but he strives to save others’ lives and do the right thing,” he added.

The series looks like it won't disappoint as Andrew Davies was selected to be the screenwriter.

Andrew is the man behind Lei Tolstoy's War and Peace adaption for the BBC, and for bringing Pride and Prejudice from the pages of the book to our screens.

Dominic added that it was exciting as Andrew has really captured the book in such detail.

“Andrew Davies is a master of condensing and distillation. He has distilled a massive book into six hours of television. He’s been at it a long time," he said.

“He’s so experienced. Whenever I’ve opened a book and thought, ‘oh this is a bit I particularly like’, it’s in his script. In that way, it’s very exciting because I don’t remember the last time when a book was dealt with in such detail.”

If this sounds like your cup of tea, it will air on December 30 at 9 pm on BBC One.

It might be the season of goodwill, but all is not well in the Kardashian-West household.

Kayne has reignited the feud with Drake after the Canadian rapper followed back Kim Kardashian on Instagram.

This battle between the musicians isn't a new story, as last month Kayne blasted Drake for allegedly "threatening his family."

Although you can still see the bad blood between the men plastered all over Kanye's Twitter, his latest outburst was deleted.

However, the Internet doesn't forget so fast and in the day and age of screenshots, nothing is ever truly gone.

What kicked off the latest round of tweets on Saturday was a discovery made over on Kim's Instagram.

He tweeted: “I never knew till this morning that Drake followed my wife on Instagram back in September.”

"I had to bring this up because it's the most f*cked up thing of all and I just saw it this morning," he continued.

"When I went to far with Wiz Khalifa everybody stood up and I had to apologize cause it was too far. I had to bring this up because it’s the most f*cked up thing of all and I just saw it this morning," he added to his stream of tweets.

But it didn't end there, he concluded: "Imagine having a problem with somebody and they follow your wife on Instagram…We truly wish this man the best and pray that he will find the same happiness that we have."

After getting it off his chest and onto the Internet, the 41-year-old deleted the tweets and said: "Love everyone…All positive vibes."

September was the release of Drake's song, 'Kiki', and 'In my Feelings', which quickly sparked fans to suggest that the lyrics referenced a possible fling Kim and Drake had in the past.

Although Kim Kardashian denied the rumours, it seems Kayne wasn't impressed and took to his Instagram stories to blast Drake about the song and its link to Kim.

It doesn't look as if this feud will resolve itself any time soon.

Who doesn't love to stay in their PJs all day? It is a weekend after all.

But when we do eventually (and unfortunately) decide to change out of our pyjamas, the question arises – do we put our comfy clothes in the wash, or are they okay for another wear?

An intense debate recently started after a woman on Mumsnet said that she washes her pyjamas after every use, which many thought was a bit too often.

Others, though, were still questioning how frequently our pyjamas need to be washed.

Prima spoke to Verity Mann, Head of Testing at the Good Housekeeping Institute, to get the scoop on proper PJ etiquette.

'Pyjamas should be washed after a few good nights' sleep,' the expert shared.

Hungry Pyjama GIF

'If you shower before you go to bed, you can wait a few extra nights between washings: I'd say once a week, so every seven days.'

However, Verity shared that sweaty sleepers may need to throw their PJs into the washing machine more often.

'If you're a sweaty sleeper you should increase this,' Verity told Prima: 'If someone has been ill, wash them straight away on as high a temperature as the care label allows.'

A poll of British couples from 2015 found, though, that the average woman washes their pyjamas less than Verity advises – waiting 17 days to do so!

Well, we're happy to hear we can forgo washing our PJs… for a little bit.

What do you think of Verity's recommendation, mums? How often do you prefer to wash PJs? Let us know!

It feels like a lifetime has passed since season two of The Crown aired on Netflix. We’ve been longing for the show to return to our screens and it looks like we don’t have long to wait.

Netflix has graced us with a glimpse of the upcoming season and we have to admit we are rather excited.

Two photos of the new cast were released and we have to say they look incredible. Many fans can admit they were sad to say goodbye to the original cast. Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby and Matthew Goode were phenomenal in their roles, but it looks like we had nothing to worry about after all.

Season three will also focus on the life of Prince Charles, including his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles.

As we trend towards methods of more sustainable living, it’s no surprise that our eating habits are following suit with Just Eat, Ireland’s leading marketplace for online food ordering and delivery, predicting a rise in Flexitarianism in 2019.

This ‘part time’ plant-based foodie trend is growing at a phenomenal rate, with a 55 percent increase in demand for vegetarian dishes in 2018.

“The movement towards more sustainable living habits is something we predicted in 2017, with less variance now between the Just Eat customers who opt for vegetarian only or meat only dishes, giving rise to the popularity of the “flexitarian” diet,” said Marketing Director, Edel Kinane.

Just Eat restaurant partners now provide healthy options to over 62 percent of the country, with a 266 percent increase in the number of conscious carnivores tapping the app for convenient weekly meal planner menus.

Further evidence that the ‘all-or-nothing’ diet is losing momentum can be found in the growing demand for chicken, up 263 percent on 2017 and attributed to the introduction of KFC to the Just Eat partner portfolio earlier in the year.

Mirroring the changing patterns of emerging food trends, the ordering habits of Irish consumers also shifted in 2018, with Wednesday experiencing the biggest uplift and Sunday taking over from Saturday as the most popular day of the week to order takeaway.

Unsurprisingly, lunchtime deliveries are healthiest on a Monday, while Pizza reigns supreme as the afternoon treat meal of choice on a Friday, with pizza’s popularity evident by Firehouse Pizza taking top prize at the 2018 Just Eat National Takeaway Awards.

Events like the World Cup Final, U2’s homecoming tour and the Late Late Toy Show were amongst the top order occasions in Ireland.

This year’s Late Late Toy Show saw the best-ever Friday for orders, while the best Saturday ever came soon after on Saturday, December 15 when most of the country was in Christmas party recovery mode, with both days recording a 25 percent year on year increase.
